MiqoMarch Day 28 - Favourite City
In collaboration with the Board of Turalism and at the behest of the Vow of Resolve, a limited run of postcards featuring Eorzea's very own Warrior of Light was created in hopes to better the image of Tural across the salt.
#ffxiv#miqomarch#miqomarch2025#ffxiv gpose#dawntrail#Arsay Nun#Not canon but like the magazine thing i did last year im just having fun#graphic design is my passion and my curse etc.#I was inspired by the north american tour tural marketing campaign!! I really loved what they did. major props to the artists involved#I actually found the company's portfolio site and they posted the branding guide for the campaign so I was able to follow the design scheme#Im just... such a sucker for travel esque stuff and vintage adventure vibes#also the fact they got Rhys Darby in those commercials was kinda goated ngl#I opted to put Arsay in her gunbreaker fit cause it had more like tan shirt adventuring get up vibes to it >w<#but also needed a few beach shots cause like.. cmon its arsay shes gonna go to the beach each

Is villain tails wearing some sort of makeup if he is then I just imagine sonic putting it on him (trying to find some wholesome things in their totally-definitely-absolutely-not toxic at all relationship)
tbh the markings are just there because i thought they looked cool. i’ve tried to come up with some explanation as to why they glow sometimes and why they’re there at all but i can’t ajshhsjshs. it was just another way for me to make the brothers match
honestly tho, sonic would try and use something like that as a bonding moment. idk how successful it would be but hey at least he’s trying?
anyway no guarantee that they stay like that i’m getting another urge to change their design again
#ask#anon ask#villain au#one day i’ll be happy with them….#man i love when i start something (nine’s travel guide) only to change up the designs of who im drawing#it’s so cool and awesome#/s#anyway yea#markings are there because i like them

The game design thing that I hope is influential about Expedition 33 is not the turn based battles or the Dodge/Parry mechanics it's that 1) it's okay with you getting lost and 2) it is okay with you missing stuff
Exploration feels rewarding because there is stuff to find everywhere. There are optional bosses. There are cool weapons and pictos. There are abilities for Monoco. There are clues about the plot that you could miss if you don't go off the path! You can get through the game without all this but it's better if you screw around a bit. You are unlikely to find everything on your own.
Modern games so often give you lists of things. Minimaps. Gaps in your inventory. If you're missing something, you know what it is and where. But that makes it feel like a massive to-do list instead of just.... Exploring. Seeing what's out there.
#clair obscur: expedition 33#expedition 33#you are ragging on squeenix about the wrong thing#i would buy the Brady games official strategy guide for it--which is perhaps counter to what I just said#i get why game design has become this but can we have some variety please oh please#also: world maps are cool though I think not for the reasons people state but as a good alternative to fast travel

Centipede + Radiation
The Seeker is a wonderer. They are no stranger to unknown lands and places beyond Bugaria, monuments of old times and tools no one saw before.
Their primary interest is finding and harvesting crystals. The strange ancient device on their back (Geiger's counter) helps the Seeker detect and locate the crystals near by. With a help of the hook they use to reach places and pick up the clicks. It's also a handy weapon in a rough situations.
Overall a friendly but quiet fellow. The cloak can be intimidating (sometimes in their favor) but it's mainly there to give ease to their eyes, being somewhat light sensitive.
The collected crystals are then traded or sold, not for berries but for food and shelter, before the Seeker continues their journey.

Update this adopt will be posted in the reblog~
Edit: SOLD OUT thank you!
#bug fables#oc#october design challenge#adopt#centipede#i picked the simplest idea out of the three ones I had#I never made a proper BF character design haha#it was almost a HK design with a similar concept#of glowy centipede that travels between kingdoms and serves as a guide for those crossing the wild lands#with a rower of river Stix kind of vibe#I also wanted to put the original geiger's counter on this fella#but it's too big and complicated#so went with a digital one

I need all of you to understand that I fully recognize how weird it is that I want a fully illustrated guide to the version of Jumanji that they made in the reboot films. It'd be a super niche product, but can you imagine how cool a worldbuilding project it'd be? Fake cultures, all those weird animals they had chasing everybody, all the architecture. You could really do some wild lore for things like the albino rhinos or those ostrich-looking birds.
#personal opinion#Jumanji#Worldbuilding#It'd be like that Skull Island guide crossed with a travel guide#Creature design#Someone please get on that for me

Thurgau
“Welcome to Thurgau, where the apples are as crisp as the wit and the scenery is so picturesque, it could make a Swiss watch stop and admire. Nestled snugly between the majestic Bodensee and the rolling hills of the Alps, this Swiss gem is like a hidden treasure chest waiting to be discovered. Did you know that Thurgau isn’t just about cows and chocolate? Oh no, it’s the apple of Switzerland’s…

Holy Shit.

NEW CHARACTER CHANGLI
SHES SO FREAKIN PRETTYYY. At first I was sceptical but then I saw her in game, in the plot, and suddenly I was like ’DAMN’. I love her design, but her little front braid things are throwing me off.

She tied her hair up to loop around rings. Now those rings have hair weaved around them then braided. THE HOOPS ARE THROWING ME OFF. Don’t get me wrong her hair is beautiful, the gold elegantly highlights her hair making it look soft.

TV SNIDE COVER-No 2 by Tina & Joe Via Flickr: My Mom used to say, "I can't stand that Star Track sh*t! Can't you put something good on?" Based on my favorite episode of The Outer Limits which was written by Harlan Ellison and ripped off by James Cameron for The Terminator. Of course, Ellison ripped off Frederik Pohl's Target One, but I guess Pohl wasn't as litigious as Ellison.
