Tickets to Malibu
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
Jeon Jungkook x Fem!Reader
Genre: SONGFIC!!, Pure Fluff for y'all
Warnings: none, really
Wordcount: 1809 words
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
Summary: He got his hands on some plane tickets and shows you what you've been missing out on. Or: Jeon Jungkook, the man that uses discounts as a valid reason for spontaneous holidays. (They are, tho.)
Author's note: Good evening y'all! I'm kind of back. And back in my Kpop-era, thanks to Min Yoongi. I had the idea for this drabble/songfic on the train back home and for the first time in months I felt sun on my face. Of course this song started playing. It. Felt. So. Good. Depression? Cured. Hotel? Trivago. I hope you like it!
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
âLook, they were on sale!â
Chimed the young man while ripping open an envelope that just arrived. He dropped his bag in the hallway, threw his shoes in the corner next to the front door and shuffled into the kitchen.
You were currently seated at your dining table and a mug with your favourite tea in front of you, same as your laptop.Â
You shot the dark-haired male a curious but annoyed look, warning him not to disturb you too much, you still had work to do.Â
But he flopped down opposite from you, slamming your laptop shut with a thud. You shot him a glance and you could swear you felt your eyebrows touch.
âJungkook, what did you do this time?â, you asked, a hint of mistrust laced to your voice.
âJagi, listen! I know you didnât want me to but-â, he smiled and pulled two tickets out of the envelope, just to make the moment he placed them in front of you a little more dramatic.
It wasnât some concert tickets to a band you fangirl about, how you thought. And it also wasnât a ticket to your favourite museum in Seoul.
âWhat the actual fuck, Jungkook!â, you blurted out.
The way his smile formed into a pout and his usually very attentive eyes looked down, onto the tickets. But you werenât let him slip. You werenât mad, just surprised. But he was faster to react than you expected him.
âI-Iâm sorry, Jagi⊠I thought youâd like to go.â, he muttered, trying to snatch the tickets away and out of your sight, but you caught his hand.
âJungkook, what the fuck. No, I want to go and Iâm so- so, so happy. It was blunt surprise. I really want to go with you.â, you explained and he stopped in his tracks. When he looked back up at you, you realised how glossy his eyes were.Â
He really was excited about this, huh?
He couldnât even process what happened by how fast you stood up and made your way to his side to wrap him in a tight embrace. And the affectionate and cosy man he was, his head leaning against your chest, wrapped his arms around your waist.
You kissed the top of his head, caressing his temple and cheek while shaking your head.
âThank you, Kook. I am so happy to have you by my side.â, you declared and pressed another kiss into his soft, and a little ruffled hair. That caused him to look up at you, this time a charming smile plastered on his face. The one you loved seeing on him.
And he was indeed the most adorable man you ever met.
Hell, he did everything for you, you name it.
Heâd bring some food home if dance practice was taking longer. Heâd take you into the studio when recording a new song just so that youâd hear the pre-edited version, he knew you loved those so much. Heâd even beg your boss for more home office days or holidays when he was going on tour with the boys and wasnât ready to leave without you.
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
And thatâs how you ended up in a short line for the business class entrance of the plane. And it felt real.
Next to you was the raven-haired male, a grin plastered on his face as he clutched his backpack and hectically searched for his passport.Â
The passport that was in your hand.
And for that exact same reason you never fully trusted him while traveling.
â(Y/N), have you seen my passpo-â, he asked and turned around to face you shortly after.
âOh! There you are!â And with that he snatched it out of your arms and cradled it like a baby thatâs been away from his mother for too long. And you simply shook your head, watching how Jungkook handed his passport to a flight attendant, almost dropped it and then got pointed at like a monkey in the zoo.
âYouâre that kpop-dude, right?â, the woman asked and you had to scoff. âThat kpop-dudeâ was definitely a bit too funky sounding. Youâd understand if sheâd say âthe goofball of BTSâ, but she didnât call him that.Â
And he just smiled at her, nodded and walked past her. That manâs mood was indestructible.
You quickly checked in after him, following him with fast steps to not lose him, because he suddenly chose to jump-walk through the bridge.
But once you settled, the seat was actually comfortable. And this time you didnât feel terrified of flying, even if you usually did. Especially when flying with the rest of BTS. But that might be because their chaos and a plane? Never a good combination.
But Jungkook was almost immediately knocked out by exhaustion and got as comfortable as a starfish. His left arm on your head, his right arm on the armrest of his seat. He somehow managed to drag his long legs almost halfway below the two seats in front of him.Â
And there it was, Jungkook basically passed out.
You knew it would happen but thatâs what he needs when traveling. Like a dog that was exhausted of wagging its tail too much.Â
The weather in Malibu was more than good, even better than your boyfriend expected it to be when booking those tickets.Â
You couldâve sworn that the sun burned your skin the second you stepped out of the air-conditioned airport. Being a skin care addict had its perks and one of them definitely was that youâd bring your sunscreen everywhere with you.Â
After a few moments of throwing things around in your bag, you finally found the minimalistic container of your favourite brand. The sunglasses pushed back into your hair, you started to apply a generous amount of the sunscreen on your face. And once youâre done, you handed your boyfriend the sunscreen and he gave you a look that said:
âI am here to get a tan!â, featuring a playful smirk.
When you flicked his forehead, he pouted again and started applying the cream.Â
Avoid problem no.1: Sunburnt Jungkook, done
He called a cab and the driver rushed to get the suitcases into the trunk before you finally were finally making your way to the hotel Jungkook booked. And he even refused to tell you the name to check out the website.Â
The check-in was more than relaxed. Not a lot of people were in the lobby and you were able to make your way to the suite. And the bed â it was a dream. After more than eleven hours of traveling, you had enough for a day.
But Jungkook was still full of energy, pulling you off the bed and guiding you to your suitcase.
âPlease, put on that pretty summer dress, (Y/N).â, he pleaded with his insufferable puppy eyes.Â
You knew that putting up a fight would not work out with Jungkook and so you signed in defeat and got into that dress he loved so much.
He grabbed your hand and pulled you out of the suite, even out of the hotel. You barely registered where he was heading until the ocean came into view and you were able to hear the seagulls, hell, even the crashing waves clearer now. And once you reached the beach, he slipped out of your hand and ran towards the water. You walked a little further and sat down in the sand, watching him run back to you.
When he flopped down next to you, you were able to see the smile â the most beautiful one ever â displayed on his handsome face. His dark eyes were glistening and taking you in, sun shining in your face and making your skin glow.Â
God, he found you endearing every day but today? You looked far more ethereal than in the daily buzz back home.Â
âYou never came to the beach, or stood by the ocean- you never sat by the shore under the sun with your feet in the sand.â
He took your hand in his again, but this time he pulled you closer. Despite the temperature he held you in his arms, overlooking the sea and sitting in the sand.
âBut you brought me here and I'm happy that you did.â, you smiled, leaning into him a little more. Inhaling his deodorant - mixed with his perfume and the smell of himself â a little more this time.
Allowed it to flood your senses and feel his heartbeat.
He was here with you, sitting at the beach in Malibu and watching the sun go down.
You never thought it would happen because even coming to terms with his insane idol-schedule was hard. You had a job that didnât require as much commitment as being a star required and you always told yourself that youâd be okay as long as he was, but you missed the couple time still.
He was the most loveable dork you ever met. Funny, charming, goofy, smart and effortlessly good looking. You could wake him in the middle of the night and heâd still be the most handsome man on the planet (ignoring his heavily dishevelled hair).Â
And he knew how much you wanted to spent a few days away from home, only him and you. How you never really experienced going to the beach or simply enjoying the deafening silence of the ocean. He remembered all of that, no matter how much time passed since you told him.
It was important to him, after all. If youâd ask him what he ate for lunch yesterday, heâd clutch his chest dramatically and say âI told you I have the memory of a gold fish.â
But he never forgot one of your quirks or your wishes. He knew them by heart. He promised himself to fulfil each and every one as long as he could, as long as you let him to. And that was all that mattered to him.
âYou two are just like the waves that flow back and forth,
Sometimes you feel like youâre drowning and heâs there to save you.â
You pulled back, enough to see his beautiful smile once again and how his curious gaze never left yours. It was so unreal but also so ungodly beautiful.
âAnd I wanna thank you with all of my heart.â, you muttered, brushing a strand of hair out of his face.Â
He could see his lip quiver for a slip second, before he pulled you in and kissed you, soft but desperate. Eager but longing.Â
You knew that this was the start of a new chapter in your book of love.
âItâs a brand new start.â
âA dream come true.â, you thought to yourself as his right hand crept up your cheek and gently caressed the delicate skin, his left hand finding its way to your waist, itâs second nature for him.
But the plane tickets were in fact not for sale.

[CN] Kiroâs R&S - Youthhood (Eng Translation)
đThis R&S (ć°ćčŽæ¶ä»Ł) was part of the Dream Heart Lake event which will unlikely come to ENđ

Cancelled Kiroâs R&S:
>Â top experimental subject (by another user)
> stunning young idol
> youthhood âĄ
> heavenâs home for children (by another user)
[ Chapter 1]
Kiro sits on the highest flight of steps of TKTS. With the scorching sun directly overhead, heâs queuing to purchase discounted tickets to âWickedâ with Pei En.
TKTS, which sells discounted tickets, is located in the bustling Times Square in New York, USA. Behind it is the NASDAQ screen, and on both sides are shops selling Disney products and all sorts of fast fashion brands. The buildings in front and in the surroundings have gigantic, neat and pretty advertisements.
Among them, a gigantic âThe Avengersâ poster above the subway is the most attention grabbing.
This is a representation of the era. Itâs a symbol of the 20th century, and is also similar to the cyberpunk world of âBlade Runnerâ.
âIâve got the tickets!â
Pei En waves the two tickets to âWickedâ in his hand. Pei En is the guitarist in his band. Kiroâs agency formed a band for him, and most of the band members are French locals. Only Pei En is of mixed blood like Kiro - a child from a Jew and an Asian.
âIf the performance had gone smoothly, we would have reached earlier!â
They have a final performance in New York as part of their tour, and would have to leave after, rushing to Los Angeles, California.
âThis time, Iâm going to hide the donuts in an even more secret location so the person who inspects the tickets wouldnât discover them!â
While Kiro says this, he finishes the donut in his hand.
Donuts from Dunkinâ Donuts are very sticky. Only Kiro can treat such things as delicacies.
His ringtone sounds. With a glance at the number on the screen, he hangs up immediately. Pei En is very curious to know who the caller is. He has expressed curiosity regarding everything involving Kiro, and Kiro knows why.
âIs it that fellow Lawrence again?â Pei En asks. Lawrence is the agent of their band.
âNope, but itâs definitely a harassment call.â
âIt should be.â
Pei En seems to be a carbon copy of Kiro. Aside from his hair not being golden coloured, he is extremely similar to Kiro in terms of bubbliness and openness, and how simple-minded he is.Â
-
[ Chapter 2 ]
After purchasing the tickets, both of them return to the agency. Lawrence is at the side, looking through the program booklet for their performance tonight. Lawrence is overwhelmingly ambitious. He wonât give up until he bags a Grammy Award for the band.
âDid you know? Another group of strange people came to look for you again.â
The moment Lawrence sees Kiro, he pulls the latter to a corner. Pei En curiously watches on.
âWhat kind of people did you provoke? They look like they shouldnât be trifled with.â
Kiro shakes his head. âWhat do you mean by âtheyâ? Fans?â
When Lawrence sees the innocent and harmless expression on Kiroâs face again, he knows that his questions wouldnât get him anywhere. Kiro always manages to find ways to conceal himself.
âHowâs the preparation for the concert? Youâre the lead singer, and all the girls are flocking here for you!â
âIâll definitely perform even better than usual!â
Kiro looks to be full of zest and in high spirits. He genuinely loves being on stage, and loves how he radiates brilliance. Who doesnât like seeing fans go into a frenzy over them and be captivated by them? It enables Kiro to fully feel that he is still living on this earth. And that on this earth, there are still so many people who like him...
âIâm guessing you went to buy a souvenir again today.â
Lawrence comes to such a conclusion after glancing at Kiroâs bag. Kiro has a hobby - to buy some souvenirs wherever he goes, whenever convenient.
From Paris to Munich, Zurich to Stockholm, Vancouver to Montreal - wherever he goes on tour, he would buy local fridge magnets and postcards, and he would always buy two sets.
He wants to collect these things, so if a day comes when he can meet her again, he would show them to her, and say:
âLook! This world is so beautiful, and you no longer have to be afraid.â
But till now, he has yet to find her. He remembers her eyes. One day, he will find her in a vast sea of people.Â
âDid you know that the agency from China has sent someone to negotiate with us? They want you to sign on with them, and the amount theyâre giving you is basically--â
Lawrenceâs tone is exaggerated. âHow are people in China so wealthy!â
âWhat if I said that I wanted to go to China?â
âHey, buddy, the band canât do without you.â
âHaha, Pei En is much more outstanding than I am.â
At this point, Pei En is still watching them. Kiro understands him too well. Heâs much too curious. Also, heâs only curious about Kiro, which could very quickly expose Kiroâs hidden identity.
Did that group of people actually send Pei En to monitor him...
He kind of underestimates Pei En though.
âBut that fellow is always so absent-minded. God knows what heâs thinking about.â
-
[ Chapter Three ]
Americans enjoy overstating things. At one moment, they go âonly God knows...â, and at another moment, they go âfor the sake of God...â. Some people canât stand it, but Kiro finds it very interesting.
Very quickly, Kiro begins rehearsing with the band. His style of singing changes a lot. When they were in Europe, they mostly played rock music. When they reached America, they started playing country or jazz music.
Kiro likes the southern accent of the keyboardist from California. But Lawrence prohibits it. âThe southern accent is the most crude and coarse form of English! Why canât you learn the way the British speak?â
Lawrence has always favoured people who can speak eloquent British English - to him, only such people are refined and elegant. But Kiro grew up in France. When he first started learning English, he tended to pronounce âchâ as âshâ. Actually, French is genuinely elegant and pleasant to listen to. And English tinged with a slight French accent can make one absorbed in it.
-
The concert ended smoothly.
The fans are cheering in a frenzy outside, wanting them to perform one more song. But the agent has already told them to leave.
Pei En and Kiro take a car and rush to the theatre to watch âWickedâ. This is the final Broadway show they want to watch, and it was a shame that Kiro didn't get to watch the well-known Hamilton.
At the entrance, that group of fellows stopped him again.Â
The person standing at the forefront is a Caucasian woman. She walks up to Kiro elegantly and greets him, signalling for the person next to her to bring Pei En away.
âIâve already given you a response through e-mail, and I hope you wonât disturb me again.â
The Caucasian woman proceeds as usual, showing him an FBI ID.
Kiro grumbles in his heart.
âI swear I wonât disclose the contents of âThe Avengersâ. Even though Iâve already watched it on my laptop, Iâll definitely watch it again in the cinema!â
The Caucasian woman laughs.
âMr Kiro, youâre very humorous. Even though we know that apart from Disney, youâve also hacked into Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures, weâre not here to talk about this.â
She continues:Â âKEY - thatâs you, isnât it?â
-
[ Chapter 4 ]
Kiro doesnât respond, his eyes widening as he glances around.Â
âIn order to track down your IP address, we had to destroy four computers.â
âAre you looking for me to make compensation for the computers?â
âMr Kiro. Ten years ago, you expended no effort to hack into our computers, and left behind a string of mysterious characters.â
The Caucasian woman smiles at him amiably. Kiroâs expression grows serious. Ten years ago, that KEY who hacked into their organisation wasnât him...
âTen years later, youâre back again. I think you're trying to provoke us.â
âI donât have such an intention.â
âWhether or not you do, we canât let you continue this way. Mr Kiro, this is a serious issue. We are now sending you a sincere invitation, and we hope to work together to do more noble things.â
Kiro is silent. He had previously found a clue leading to his own master. Finding out that he had entered the American FBI website and left behind a series of symbols - he thinks this is message to him from his master. As such, he entered it as well, and found that series of symbols, but until now hasnât been able to decipher it.
Itâs a series of very strange symbols, reminiscent of a new language formed using Latin and Roman symbols. He managed to decipher it a little, and it appears that the series of symbols seem to be pointing him to a location.
And the FBI had found him quickly, sending him an e-mail. It was a solemn reminder that if he was unwilling to be enlisted by them, he would lose his rights to use a computer forever.
âYouâve stated these things clearly in the e-mail, and Iâve already replied.â
âI don't think you have considered the severity of this matter. Mr Kiro, we can detain you.â
"In that case, Iâll just sing in jail then!â
Seeing the displeased look on the Caucasian womanâs face, Kiro continues smiling simple-mindedly.
âI hope you wouldnât regret this in the future.â The Caucasian woman leaves a final statement that is often found in a script for a classic villain. She leaves with the large group of people.Â
Pei En walks over frantically, and Kiro walks towards him as well.
âTell them that Iâve met with some trouble, and will need to leave America immediately.â
Pei En pretends to be puzzled.
âYou understand the meaning in my words, donât you?â
For the first time, Kiro looks at him seriously. During serious moments, he doesnât smile.Â
âWhere do you plan to go? We can send you to Russia.â
Pei En is no longer smiling. His expression changes, along with his entire aura.
As expected, Pei En is much too similar to him. If Kiro were to leave the band, Pei En could take over his position as the lead singer, and that group of people had considered this fact too.
-
[ Chapter 5 ]
The face of the little girl surfaces in Kiroâs mind again.Â
The girl is lying with him, and is all smiles as she looks at him.
âDonât be afraid. When Iâm out, Iâll buy you donuts, okay?â
The girl draws the shape of a donut in the air.
Back then, Kiro didnât speak. He just stared at the ceiling in a dazed state.
âDonât worry that I wonât have enough money. My dad will give it to me.â
Kiro remains wordless, quietly listening to the little girl speak.
The little girl struggles to pull on his hand.
Their fingers lace together, the warmth from her palm gradually coursing into Kiroâs heart.
âDonât be afraid. Iâll protect you.â
Kiro turns to look at her - to look at her determined brown eyes, to look at how the corners of her lips angle upwards. Kiro slowly learns how to curl the corners of his lips from her. Itâs the first smile to appear on his face.Â
Suddenly, the door is flung open. A group of people wearing doctorâs coats enter and drag him away. The little girl watches him in a daze, and he stares back at her. They agreed to go out to have donuts - can they still eat them?
-
âI want to return to China.â
Pei En shakes his head, alarm in his eyes. âWhy? Thereâs so much freedom here, and Iâm the only one who monitors you. And Iâm inclined to trust you more now. You wonât betray us.â
âNo... I still want to go back.â
Not just for the little girl. The symbols left behind by his master seem to point to a certain location in China... Where exactly is it? And why did he leave the symbols with the FBI? Could it be the place heâs hiding at right now?
No matter what, he wants to solve this riddle.
âAll right. Iâll handle it for you as soon as I can. I think youâd have to use a false identity this time.â
âAs long as everything goes smoothly, itâs fine.â
âDonât worry, thereâs nothing they canât do.â
He wants to wait till he returns to China before telling Lawrence about what happened. Lawrence will definitely be extremely frantic. After all, heâs been following Kiro ever since he debuted in France.
And Pei En will definitely be happy. He can finally take over Kiro and become the favourite member of the group, and obtain love from the fans.
Kiro is someone who doesnât lack love. But he always subconsciously wishes that he could obtain even more love. More and more...
-
[ Chapter 6 ]
Before Kiro retuned, Pei En gave him materials pertaining to the agency in China.
âYour agent is called Savin. He doesnât seem as eager for instant success and quick profits as Lawrence. Mr Savin is a very amiable person, and you should be very happy interacting with him.â
âIs he one of your people?â
âI donât know.â
âYou really donât know?â
Pei En shakes his head. âI rank too low, so I donât have the right to ask. Iâm just an elementary spy.â
Kiro nods, taking his luggage and preparing to leave. Heâll set things straight eventually.
âKiro, I donât think youâre transparent. They say that whatâs in your heart is easy to guess, which is why they put me by your side. But I think they have underestimated you.â
Kiro looks at Pei Enâs troubled eyes, then showcases his signature sunny smile.
âHow can that be? Do you want a postcard? When I get to China, Iâll mail you one. I also want to mail them to Lawrence and the members from the band. Treat it as an apology.â
Like Kiro, Pei En showcases a sunny smile. âIn that case, weâll wait for your news. Youâll definitely be at the height of popularity in China.â
âLetâs work hard together.â
âYes!â
After parting with Pei En, who has been with together with him from morning to night for so long, Kiro lifts his luggage and embarks on an unknown journey.Â
As what Pei En said, he isnât transparent. His brilliant smile conceals something underneath, just as the brilliant sun shrouds darkness underneath.
Hidden in the depths of his secrets are things even darkness doesnât know of. If darkness had a mind of its own, it might think it doesnât fit with this pure and simple youth.
Just as how everyone think heâs a simple, innocent Kiro, the sunlight casted on him can pierce through him completely, the rays of light refracting onto the floor.Â
Actually, since a very long time ago, he was no longer a youth...
But, for her sake, he's willing to become a youth again.
âDonât be afraid, Iâll protect you.â
He once again recalls what the girl said to him.
âThis time, Iâll be the one protecting you.â Kiro says excitedly. He stands outside the JFK Airport, his eyes staring directly at the sun.
âIâll find you, and protect you. I even have a mountain of souvenirs stored in my luggage. Iâll give them all to you. And my purest heart - Iâll give it to you too!â

Nicoâs âDesertshoreâ album cover
This comparison of musical works of different genres from the 1970s is made up of Witold Lutoslwaski's "Preludes and Fugue," for 13 string players, written between 1970 and â72, and "Desertshore," Nico's third solo album, released in 1970. Both works are interpreted by the Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop, together with the artist and singer ANIKA. These two pieces seem to have nothing in common and yet are two contradictory descriptions of the world of their time. What happens when such diverse works from different cultural productions are aesthetically juxtaposed? Using the concept of âsuture,â borrowed from film theory, i.e. the âsewing togetherâ of supposedly unsuitable materials, Kaleidoskop looks at unexpected connections between the works and genres.
LutosĆawski seeks artistic expression in the stark contrast between aleatoricism and extreme complexity in seven different and overlapping prologues, i.e. preludes, which precede a large-scale fugue. "Desertshore," arranged and produced by John Cale in 1970, is stylistically situated somewhere between gothic, folk rock, and Romanticism. Taking the form of a song cycle, the songs make use of symbols of German Romantic traditions. It is dark and disturbing, with vocals that intensely penetrate the music and at the same time remain strangely far removed from it.

europe. julyâ17.
here I am, at 1:57a sitting on top of the toilet cover because I am wide awake and I don't want to disturb my sister who's asleep.
Travelling now feels a little bit sad to me. We visited Amsterdam, Brussels, Brugge and Barcelona. I've been to all of these cities except Brussels. I felt a distinct sense of longing for the past, when travelling was a time of exploration. Now it feels more like an escape from reality. Away from responsibilities, my 8-5 job and people generally.
I loved Amsterdam except that it smells like weed 24/7. Other than that, I feel safe in the city and had so much CHEESE everyday. Zoku Apartments was a nice experience even though it did not exceed my expectations. The staff were helpful and just generally walking around the city was a treat (though I wished we could've done more). I actually enjoyed Amsterdam more this second time around.
I did not like Brussels too much because the people were not super friendly to us on some occasions. The waitresses were awful on our first night at Marmiton. They did not serve the bread basket to our table and they placed the dishes on our tables hastily as though we were their source of irritation. Then in the chocolate shop (Galler), we were discussing in mandarin whether or not to buy more chocolates, and the sales lady quickly assumed that we were trying to get a discount (bargaining) and told us 'no discount, I can only give you free chocolates'. Stupid Asian stereotype. However, we stayed in Radisson Blu and the hotel staff were 100% the best. Always ready to help, attends to us cheerfully. We had unlimited bottled water, the BEST yoghurt and everything was given to us in excess.
Brugge. Spent less than a day there. Had a 2-hour lunch and walked around the charming town for the rest of the evening until we had to catch the train back to Brussels.
Barcelona. It should be terribly clear to me by now that my family hates historical sites and art museums. So I decided against getting tickets for La Sagrada Familia or Parc GĂŒell or anything like that, since I've already been inside these places. However I did get to know Barcelona better as we strolled through Passeig De Garcia, dined in the fabulous El Nacional, had jars of sangria under the sun while people watching, and let the sightseeing city bus drive us around for half a day (âŹ29 per person!). Only dad would pay for such things, I know I wouldn't and I simply do not have the money for such luxury. The people were relaxed, and warm, as I had remembered from the last visit. Except, some of the hotel staff at breakfast and the lobby were so rude. The lady this morning gave us a dirty look when the 5 of us came down for breakfast (not all at once of course). She checked our room numbers at least four times combined, and called to check with the reception that we were actually a family of 5 and were not trying to steal or sneak one of us into the breakfast room. UGH. Otherwise it was pleasant. My family loved Barcelona, and i always tend to feel happier when my family is enjoying a European city. They tend to have a hard time when it comes to food/ communication/ long walks/ and it's nice that they can enjoy Barcelona properly. So I did not say a good thing about Barcelona to them for the fear of hyping them up with false expectations. It was a relief, the way the feel about this city.
Even so, my favourite city would still be LONDON. And I think it's bias because it's the only city that I knew. I knew where to get the pho that will always warm me up when I feel sad or when it's cold. There's always free artsy museums to see. Beautiful parks. Theatre shows are always playing at west end should I want a magical evening. Concerts. Studying in the ancient Maughan Library. Lots of alone time. Friends to hang out with ( though this is NOT true anymore, for I no longer have anyone to really hang out with in LDN, my friends have all moved from the city).

Q&A: Drag Icon Varla Jean Merman
Logo TV founder Matt Farber is bringing his Outlandish series back to South Florida for the third season, opening Jan. 5 at the Sunshine Cathedral in Fort Lauderdale with the drag icon Varla Jean Merman in âUnder A Big Top.â
Step right up and prepare yourself to be amazed, dazzled and possibly disturbed! Drag superstar and erstwhile âcarnyâ Varla Jean Merman is coming back to town with three rings stuffed with funâŠand all she needs is a big top! This circus-themed show is filled with jaw dropping videos, awe-inspiring songs, and death-defying wigs, and celebrates Varlaâs 20 years as âThe Freakiest Show on Earth.â
It was a pleasure to sit down and talk with Varlaâs Alter Ego Jeffery Roberson for this exclusive Hotspots interview:
Were you always a performer even as a child or when did the bug bite you?
I think I was secretly a ham and it would come out at times. But it wasnât until I went to a boarding school in High school that I got the confidence to act like a goofball.
When was the first time you did drag?
It was actually in high school. A friend of mine had a senior auction, where a junior could buy a senior and make them do whatever they wanted. We paid these 2 girls to make us to drag in school the next day.
How did you come up with the character of Varla Jean Merman?
That came later. I went to LSU and met this guy named Timo who had a Video Camera, and he introduced me to John Waters movies. Needless to say, I fell in love with Divine. Timo and I started making these small movies doing crazy things. I sold them to the gay bars, and they got popular. When I moved to New York I walked into a gay bar and they were playing the same video tapesâŠ.and I told the bartender it was me. They were about to do a big benefit and he asked me if I would perform and thatâs how Varla was born.
In your wildest dreams did you ever imagine she would have such longevity and be this popular?
I hoped she would be a little more popular.

You have traveled the world. Is there a favorite city or concert hall you performed in and why?
I love San Fran. Â I always have because I connect with them. I also love Palm Springs and Sydney Australia.
Is there something Varla has not done yet thatâs on her bucket list?
I have always wanted to do an ice skating show, or a show in a swimming pool on a lifeboat.
Describe Varla in three words?
Ditzy, narcissistic and a fun drunkâŠok thatâs more than three, but whoâs counting?
How great is your show âUnder A Big Top,â and why should our readers come see it?
Itâs the greatest show on earth, especially now since there is no circus. It really is great mindless entertainment. People rely on us entertainers for escapism and I like to deliver.

What Are Some various Ways To Make cash on-line?
Tickets bought from authorized sellers are probably less costly. This is because they bought their tickets in bulk and were able to get huge reductions from it. So, buying tickets from these resources give you some of the discounts they acquired. Back in the day, it was easy to con Google's search algorithms into believing that your page was a contender, just by creating thousands of links to it. And these links didn't have to be "contextual." A "contextual" hyperlink to your local pet shop's Iguana Adoption web page from a page called "All About Iguanas" was weighted the exact same as a non-contextual (i.e., completely random) hyperlink from "Paula's Portray Service," or (even more disturbing) a link from "Harold's Male Improvement Hut." So Buying Tickets on-line " Seo vendors would merely produce thousands and thousands of spammy, nonsense links to your web page from unrelated, random webpages all over the Web. And sadly, it labored. This tactic fooled Google a lot of the time. If you are in the right place at the right time, you may get fortunate and get low cost concert tickets during a pre-sale. Pre-revenue are introduced web sites of artists and bands. These revenue allow their followers to get reductions by buying prior to the tickets go on sale to the community. Numerous artists will allow followers to take component in the pre-sale with a password on the artist website. Others have fan golf equipment where you have to spend money to be a part of and 1 of the advantages to the club is the access to pre-sale concert tickets. Disney tickets are valid for the owners. Essentially, tickets are not for resale. Consequently, you ought to not go buying tickets that have been already utilized by another guest or customer. If you do, then you subject yourself to the possibility of the passes becoming invalid because it has been used by a prior user. Furthermore, you will not know that this kind of ticket pass is no longer valid, unless of course it has been scanned through Disney's security system. The significance of purchasing tickets from genuine and reputable sources can't be extremely emphasised. Once you have this particulars you can go on and look for the tickets you think will bring you more revenue. However, do not neglect to select the best sites to list them, this kind of as eBay, Stubhub, Craiglist or TicketsNow. These websites are the very best because they are more noticeable to customers and have a long background in performing this kind of businesses. Something that a lot of people don't understand, is getting a steady and quick Web connection can significantly improve the chance of getting discount live performance tickets. For well-liked artists and bands, many occasions when a live performance is posted the tickets will sell out in a brief quantity of time. For popular live performance occasions, register with a discount Event ticket broker website prior to the tickets go on sale. So as soon as the tickets are open up to the community you can easily check out. This will also give you more options in seating, as you will be able to choose the best seating if you are currently halfway via the purchase. Ticket Options offers Super Bowl tickets for sale online but they don't come cheap. The least expensive ticket available is $3,475 for an higher degree seat in the finish zones or corner end zones. A parking pass alone is $650. If you are looking for Field and Club Degree Seating between the thirty and fifty yard traces you need to be willing to fork over $9.375 per ticket. You can purchase just about any event tickets you can believe of on the Internet. You can get NFL period tickets, NBA playoff tickets, or Globe Series tickets. You can buy tickets to the U.S. Open up, Broadway or Las Vegas exhibits, world live performance tours, NASCAR races, jazz live shows, circus and magic exhibits, and tickets to a thousand other occasions too.
