So! In the Deified Batman AU (the AU where the Belief of the peoples of Gotham accidentally Ascended Batman to minor godhood), the Bat Adoption Papers would be a fun concept.

Batman is a God of The Night, Fear, and Protection. Specifically, the protection of Children, which is one of his biggest motivators. Meaning, it's a big part of his Divine Domain.

So when he, a God of Protection and Children, adopts his own Child? It's kind of a big deal.

His Adoption Papers basically become Magical Contracts that claim Dick to him as his own Son, basically turning Dick into a Demigod by the fact that he is the Son of a God.

Then each time Batman adopts a kid, they become a Demigod as well. Maybe after enough time, and after they forge their own Identities, they could become Minor Gods of their own? Idk, fun idea

Why do I bring this up?

Well, when Danny eventually joins the JLA, and runs into Batman, all he sees in a God of the Night, who takes one look at him, and then pulls out a Magical Binding Contract from his Belt.

Needless to say, he books it.

you know those things where they personify the different facets of a character's personality into different people??? my take on that with (rrverse) apollo:

"sun" apollo: the arts, music and poetry. apollo's "facade" as it were. very dramatic, bombastic and performative, acts as if he were always on a stage. constantly distracting and entertaining himself with outside stimuli, zero introspection to be sought here!!. hopeless romantic. feels incredibly guilty when facing light!pollo so he just doesn't. on the rare few times his mask breaks he's just very tired and bitter. he looks like "modern" apollo, golden skin and hair, but his hair is also literally made of flames

"light" apollo: represents his truth and revelation aspects, directness and straightforwardness. is currently always surrounded in an inescapable lightless void. VERY intense and angry, not much to be happy about lately. fucking HATES sun!pollo, considers him to have ruined their lives and betrayed their morals and Self. would actually rather die than keep existing as is but can't. loves his siblings. can sometimes be heard chained screaming and crying in your ear. blinding to look at but looks like past apollo, with straight platinum hair. dresses in stark white

"knowledge" apollo: calm and rational. the mediator of the group, he's the one with the most empathy for the others of the bunch and is always quick to remind light and sun how their situation was influenced by outside factors and they're all doing the best they can. doesn't fall for logical fallacies, knows who the real enemy is. optimistic, sensible and uplifting. the most human looking of the bunch, has curly dark golden hair tied up in a bun and a real laurel branch wreath. is often holding scrolls

"prophecy" apollo: mysterious, mischievous and easygoing. nothing seems to surprise or faze him. always smiling like he knows something you don't or is laughing at you. whimsical, smug and amazingly confident. all around cheshire cat vibes. his smile turns gentle when the others are freaking out too much and he tells them he knows everything will turn out fine (if they ask his if he knows with his powers he tells them he just has faith ;)) just "immortal who's gone around the block and back" energy. has straight dirty blonde hair and vibrant green eyes. the most "primal" looking of the bunch, sometimes has antlers or a veil or extra eyes. always barefoot

Lemonkit Guardian of Lightning She Who Hunts The Sky

Cat Aspect: a storm-grey she-kit with a speckled coat and striped tail, eyes bright yellow-gold and intense. Sometimes heralded with static electricity and the smell of petrichor. Personality: Impulsive, observant, determined, mischievous, and absolutely brimming with energy. Playful and enthusiastic, never staying still, always on the move. Symbols: lemon tree leaves, lemongrass, yellow objects, a lightning bolt with claw marks or a pawprint over it

How, as a cat, do you even begin to make theological sense of what happened to Lemonkit? Lightning strikes in the middle of camp, harming no one but one almost-newborn kit, killing them instantly.

They say that when the clouds reached down to try to strike ClanClan, Lemonkit with her bright and impulsive soul LEAPED FORTH from the ground, chasing the lightning all the way back up to its source, determined to hunt and bring down whatever sent it! She would hunt the storm, biting its neck and kicking it with her claws, dragging it down to the fresh-kill pile! No sky-growler was going to get HER family!

... Granted, she was just a kit. So perhaps all she can do is annoy the storm with her little needle teeth and fearsome paw baps. But she is relentless, and never tires thanks to being a spirit!

Lemonkit is the reason that lightning never strikes twice in the same place, and why storms always eventually pass. If they stay in place for too long, Lemonkit will catch up, and she's going to bite their ankles! Grrrrr!!!

While things with a citrus scent tend to be repellent to cats, they are still kept around camp as talismans to make storms think twice. Her mark is sometimes drawn over structures and havens as a protective charm, ringed with bright yellow objects and citrus-smelling herbs in a place that's visible to the sky. Tread carefully, lightning! This is Lemonkit's territory! Is striking here really worth being harried?

Lemonkit may never truly catch the thundermakers. They are powerful, and always on the move. But she will never give up the chase.

As a lesser aspect to her lightning hunting, she is sometimes invoked for perseverance even in the face of hopeless odds. She may not be able to kill the lightning, but she can make it move. And that's no small feat for a small kit.

omg omg omg idea. if you're in the know (aka like one person hi sage), you know that all my da protags for my main worldstate are tied to a particular spirit in some shape or fashion.

my hawke's is duty. to me, a counterpart that makes sense for duty is pride, especially in hawke's case. even when everything is falling apart around them, ferru's guiding force is their duty to their family, especially as its protector. (😃 depressing stuff)

this duty is almost always kept even at the cost of ferru's relationships, reputation, personal safety, etc. when you lose everything else, this one ideal feels like all you have left and you cling to it. maybe it becomes synonymous with your sense of self. maybe you even start think you're the only one capable and competent enough to undertake this duty, because without it, you cease to exist.

now my personal canon is that hawke gets left in the fade WITH fenris and after that I usually stop thinking about what happens to them lmao i do not engage ✋ but now im like. what if a pride demon sets its sights on ferru. one important trait about ferru is that they're practically immune to being possessed against their will on account of being a huge cunt. ldkfjslk

the abyss but what it looks like is based off of the hunters memories. it expands with each death in a vault, taking bits and pieces and building, creating something that should feel familiar to the hunters, something they should want to trust, something that is every so slightly Wrong

sparkly doesnt die in the abyss in the funky abyss au but he is in there fairly willingly and the abyss is able to poke around his head and go shopping for landscaping ideas. helps that he remembers the forest of the abyss fondly
