You can only get the Dead End in Day 4 by staying at Ren's apartment — the rest of your choices before that don't matter. I'd also pay closer attention to the black smoke and Ren's reaction towards it!

Ren disappears from the home screen because he promised to help the player out (and stop them from getting the Dead End again). Try replaying the game again from the beginning for a surprise!

"Unsent Memories" was another visual novel (initially being written by @10chimes / @unsentmemory, though the project has since been dropped and handed back to me /pos) and is set in the same universe as 14 Days With You. Its storyline and characters are completely separate from 14DWY, so you don't have to worry about them while playing 14DWY.

like... As we know (as foretold in the legends of syd...) i really am on sort of a terrible little streak with characters rn (i keep calling it The Misogynist Plinko) but it Definitely ties into an already overarching pattern for me, which is an affinity for "turning the tables", so to speak. a common expression of this is where, when it comes to prideful little fuckers, it's a given that i want to essentially Take 'Em Down a Notch, y'know, reversing a sense of prior assumption (often to surprise/embarrassment) and having the character realize they actually enjoy (even if in a guilty pleasure sort of way) a flipped power dynamic by someone else taking the lead instead

and that actually very easily extends to characters i like recently who are, say, entitled/womanizers/handsy in that way (yet are often otherwise sort of pathetic and physically frail rather than intimidating...) only in a slightly different scenario

since it's my controlled fantasy and all, with these guys, scenarios can often start off with imagining something that could be scary or volatile if you thought about it — or at least something that would be unappealing IRL, even if just due to the sheer audacity — such as the aforementioned concept of Getting a Little Handsy Over There, but then ISN'T exactly, for a few reasons: 1. it's make believe land so i get to say what happens next, 2. since i am here thinking about the scenario, it isn't Actually unwanted and this is all part of my enjoyment, and 3. after that i can go, Haha, that's real cute you terrible little man! But if we're going to play that's Not what we're doing :) and then i Contemplating just ending this post with "and then i explode their penas" which made me laugh so Yeah sure then i explode their penas 👍

I was rewatching 2x03 Do the Right-est Thing, and I do find it a little concerning how Ted just doesn’t actually step in for Jamie when they’re all ganging up on him?? Like he does his whole Led Tasso thing but I still feel like he should’ve spoken up before that. Especially when Sam sent him flying. Like I can understand that it’s training and that being injured is part of the sport but he fell so hard he flipped over??? Like he could’ve actually broken his collarbone or arm from landing like that. And then both Sam and Colin just sat there, taunted him, and walked away??? Like when Jamie is a dick to his teammates when they’re possibly injured, he gets benched. But when he two of his teammates taunt him when he could’ve been injured too, Ted literally says nothing??? And while in both situations, neither Sam nor Jamie were actually hurt, it seems so hypocritical to me?? Like Ted just constantly has double standards for Jamie.

I also feel like Sam tackling Jamie wasn’t the only time the team was overly aggressive with him during that training session. It kinda seems that they were taking out all their frustration on him until they reasonably couldn’t anymore (when Jamie stepped in and told Ted to knock it off). And I do understand Jamie was a complete dick in season 1 and does deserve to have some consequences for that but this is simply not it. Like half of the people who were mad at him were the people who were also behaving like dicks or siding with him in season 1. And even if they didn’t, it’s so fucking stupid for them to treat him the same way he treated him. Honestly giving people “ a taste of their own medicine” just comes off as immature and hypocritical to me most of the time. There are some instances where it actually makes sense but this isn’t one of them. Like you’re mad at him because he was a prick and a bully, so when he’s put in a position where he can’t push back at you, you decide to be a prick to him instead?

And while, yes, I do think that a lot of the responsibility of this comes down to the individuals on the team themselves, Ted (and the other coaches) had a responsibility to ensure that Jamie’s integration back on the team went smoothly. And they didn’t really try and do anything until the problems already started happening??? They should’ve had a talk with the team about Jamie coming back, and how it might be hard for them to do so, but they need to get it over it and be professionals. They didn’t to be nice to Jamie, they didn’t even need to talk to Jamie outside of training, but they decided to be pricks to him instead. I can understand having mixed feelings and being angry and resentful towards Jamie, but it shouldn’t be impacting their workplace relationship to the extent it did. I really hate how non confrontational Ted is when it comes to most problems, because he never actually gets to the root of the issue.

I’m not trying villainize any of the characters but sometimes they just do things and I want to grab them by the shoulders and shake them so hard.

Also side note but now I kinda want to read a fic where Jamie actually does get hurt from the tackle thing Sam does. It would be so interesting to see. There’s not enough fics out there written about the beginning of season 2 and all the dynamic between Jamie & the team before the Dubai Air protest.

The generational progression of team dynamics is truly so funny to me.

You have the Justice League and they're all coworkers. They're friendly and polite with each other but they don't really hang out together outside of work. Two of them might transcend the work friend dynamic and buddy up outside of work (i.e Barry and Hal or Ollie and Hal or Bruce and Clark) but you will never see all of them casually hanging out for fun.

Then there's the Titans. These guys are friends. They all have busy lives so they maybe don't see each other as much as they'd like to but they're all deeply bonded with each other. They make a point of planning big get togethers with each other unrelated to work. They know each other's deepest secrets. Their kids consider the other Titans aunts and uncles.

Last but not least there's Young Justice. Young Justice is the definition of unhealthy codependency. They're all best friends and they act like siblings but they might also all be in love with each other? Kon dated Cassie, hit on Cissie, flirted with Bart's clone and had a dream where Bart was in a cheerleading outfit and was with his other love interests and then just everything with Tim. Cassie dated both Tim and Kon, and then there's everything with Cissie. Bart admitted that Cassie made him 'like girls' (?), took Cissie to a dance, and is extremely close with Tim and Kon to the point where it could just be unhealthy codependency but it might be something more. Honestly this entire group is so intermixed and codependent it's insane. They go from 'i love you so much you are my best friend' to 'i wanna make out with you' so fast and with barely any breathing room. They are constantly with each other and hang out at least once a week. They cannot exist separately.
