This is provably false but I’d like to think that Ruin’s faceplate is made of porcelain. Like all the little swirls and detailing are glazed porcelain and when he gets hit it shatters into a billion pieces. It feels just dramatic enough to be canon to for him. Like, the Mimic slams his face into a wall and there’s this horrible sound of glass shattering and now Ruin just. Doesn’t have a face anymore. I also think his eyes are glass, but more tempered and harder to break.

I think Solar’s faceplate is laser-etched metal. He has a custom inlays of different kinds of metal for all of the different colors. No paint, just natural alloys.

Moon’s faceplate is probably 3D printed hard plastic, sanded and painted with an airbrush. He adds piercings with a hole reamer and has a screw-less locking mechanism that has him twist the face off like a medicine bottle. Which makes it more convenient to work on his face, but also makes it really easy to take off for pranks.

Sun has a manufactured Fazbear-brand faceplate made of soft plastic. It’s lightweight but also carries a lot of scratches and nicks.
