Thanks @alabasterfury for tagging me. đŸ„°
(Go check out her Takemura x V fics Trust Exercise on AO3 — absolutely insane!) And thanks again — your writing inspired me to photographing this.(My work:On your knees)
I really like this tag game haha. Sorry for the late reply — I just got back from vacation.
/////////////////
Favorite color:  Orange — it feels warm and energetic, like sunrise and sunset.🌄🌅
Last song:  El Muchacho de Los Ojos Tristes by Soap. The prelude totally pulled me in.
Currently watching:  Black Mirror Season 7 — just got to Episode 4.
Currently craving:  Just wanna get off work early (or retiring tbh)... just to go home and work again — this time as corpo V in Cyberpunk 2077 (I worked too hard today, sending this from my desk while faking productivity. Sorry not sorry, boss)
Coffee or tea: Coffee!! I especially love checking out local cafĂ©s whenever I travel to a new city — trying their signature blends and collecting their custom coffee cards. Whenever I look at those cards back home, it feels like I’m right back on that trip again.
Last song I sang out loud: ă€ŠćéąćŸ‹äŒă€‹by Eason Chan — a Cantonese song I only know the chorus to, but I belt it out anyway.
Favorite chip flavor:  Lay’s cucumber flavor! đŸ„’ Might sound weird if you’ve never tried it, but it's surprisingly fresh and tasty. Is it China-exclusive?
Last book I opened:  The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment' by Eckhart Tolle. Eckhart Tolle is definetly my spiritual mentor, his word dragged me from anxiety or any negative emotions every single time. Highly recommended.
Earbuds vs. headphones vs. nothing:  AirPods, all day. Noise Cancellation mode ON.
Last place I went to other than home:  The pool. Currently practicing freestyle swimming and loving it. đŸŠâ€â™€ïž
A color that looks good on me: Black. Feels cool 😎. Also
black + red looks so good on redheads. (Now I know why I love Goro’s suit so much
)
Last trailer I saw: Zootopia 2. SUPER CUTE.
My username origin:“K” is from the pinyin of my Chinese name. I’ve always liked the sound of “crust” — and bread crust is tasty. So
 here we are.

magoria's book list
would recommend
Magic for the Resistance: Rituals and Spells for Change by Michael M. Hughes — I loved hearing about political magic from the perspective of someone who was successful in that field. There were some great ideas for spells that I will be incorporating into my daily practice. It was interesting but not overwhelming to hear his UPG. There is some, but you can easily work around it; he's very clear about what some people believe in. It helped remind me what we can do when we band together, so it's a great read.
Magickal Servitors: Create Your Own Spirits to Attract Pleasure, Power and Prosperity by Damon Brand — I think this is a great look into servitors if you're interested in chaos magic. It's free, available on Archive, and super short, yet also very informative. It includes basically anything you'd need to immediately make a servitor.
Of Blood and Bones: Working with Shadow Magick & the Dark Moon by Kate Freuler — I enjoyed every part of this book! I don't normally work with death magic or animal remains, but I'll definitely go back to this book if I want to try out some of the more nitty gritty parts of the craft. All of the spells were unique and helpful, and this book alone convinced me to try out blood magic for a change. Perfect for an intermediate witch that at least wants to see what options exist, even if you won't work with them.
you can read if you want
Advanced Magick for Beginners by Alan Chapman — This was the first book I read about chaos magic, and I think it's super easy to understand the theory that goes around it. While I may not agree with everything, and some of the ideas are a little outdated (when was the last time you masturbated to charge a sigil?) I felt that overall, it was a great look into the basis of chaos magic and how important intent really is when paired with action.
Consorting with Spirits: Your Guide to Working with Invisible Allies by Jason Miller — I liked the base ideas of how to work with spirits, what your relationship with them should be like, and ideas of the astral plane, but there's a lot of UPG I can't relate to at all. A lot of the spells are very ceremonial and invoke deities I don't know of. It's a good read as an intro to spirit work, but take a lot of the ideas and spells given with a grain of salt if you'd like.
The Modern Guide to Witchcraft: Your Complete Guide to Witches, Covens, and Spells by Skye Alexander — I thought that it was fine for if you've never heard of a grimoire before, but it only really touched on the very baseline ideas. I would only recommend this video to a very beginner witch; everyone else would find little gain from reading it.
Utterly Wicked: Curses, Hexes & Other Unsavory Notions by Dorothy Morrison — I preferred Of Blood and Bones, but I thought that this is also a helpful addition to the list. It was too beginner-oriented for me, and I found some of the spells to be too focused and the book organization to be a little messy, but none of this was much of a problem as I was reading. Added a few new hexes to my collection from this!
would not recommend
1001 Spells: The Complete Book of Spells for Every Purpose by Cassandra Eason — Maybe I'm picky with my spells, but I absolutely did not like the spellwork in this one. The phrasing of spells as "healing illness" or "guaranteeing a win when gambling" made me uncomfortable. Most of the spells in this book are 1 or 2 ingredients and a not so great incantation, claiming to be able to do something very important. A lot of the spells were hyperspecific and couldn't apply to me at all.
Psychic Witch: A Metaphysical Guide to Meditation, Magick & Manifestation by Mat Auryn — I know this is an unpopular opinion, so feel free to not listen to me. For me, reading this book as a beginner witch was not the best experience. I was sucked in to some new, convincing energy work and theory I'd never heard of, and then got hit with 7 paragraphs of pure UPG. I think it's mainly because I don't really believe in / work with brainwaves, chakras, and the fifth element, among many others referenced. It was hard for me to figure out what it is I should take away from the book, and many chapters I skipped all together.
to read (or rereading)
The Practical Psychic Self Defense Handbook: A Survival Guide by Robert Bruce
By Rust of Nail & Prick of Thorn: The Theory & Practice of Effective Home Warding by Althaea Sebastiani
Condensed Chaos: An Introduction to Chaos Magic by Phil Hine
Advanced Magick for Beginners by Alan Chapman
Protection & Reversal Magick: A Witch's Defense Manual by Jason Miller

⭐ 🌌 Moss 🌌 ⭐
He/him, Oneiroskin
Original creator and user of this account! Used to think he was just demonkin (like christian demons), but he is in fact also daemonkin (in the Greek sense: spirit of wisdom) and an Oneiros that embodies the night sky in dreams. Used to live in the Erebus with the other Oneiroi. Misses the void. Physical pain holder, often comes out when we're having bad chronic pain days. Not very social.... almost asocial tbh. Loves playing videogames & listening to the artist Ren & taking naps. Swears the most. Usually angry, gets violent thoughts if out in public in a bad mood or in a lot of pain, and baseline is usually grumpy or exhausted. If he's lucky, he finds himself at peace. Doesn't like society. Pretty much only likes one person, and that's our brother. Tolerates the rest and will be polite. Sometimes tries to be friendly only to inevitably crash and burn. Aromantic & asexual. Avoidant AF.

Sometimes im social sometimes im not! I like to boogie and dance to music (especially arcane music & get jinxed, sue me), k*ll things in videogames (im very good at it), make weird shit, be silly and stim, doodle, be gay do cr*mes, climbing (i miss our rock climbing gym membership ;^;), and im AudHD as fuck, baby!
I get odd episodes of uncontrollable movements when distressed, and sometimes I get parano*d, and I get a lot of intrus*ve thoughts of various kinds. Possibly also tactile halluc*nations but who knows it might be the fibromyalgia. Fun!

đŸâš–ïž Lance âš–ïžđŸ
🐆 they/them 🐆
Barely knows who they are a lot of the time thanks to the whole "we're a system" thing, but this is the name the body goes by 24/7.
Would and does live for their IRL family. Especially their brother who's the system's best friend. But slowly rediscovering joy in living for themself too.
Overthinker, chronic daydreamer, lost in the sauce of their own brain, loves art and ocs and stories and animation, loves fantasy and sci-fi mixed with fantasy, chill and go with the flow kinda person. Bit of a goof. Usually confused about something. Socially anxious but tries their best. Loves snakes and sharks and cats. Possibly aromantic as well. Born Libra.
Sometimes isn't quite human, but usually is.
Tends to front a lot--usually our baseline day to day is Lance. Dissociates a lot.

🐉Lacie🐉
🩉 a fey shape-shifting changeling creature 🩉
Common forms: dragon, wolf, cats, weird owlish creature thing, Toga Himiko, dragon humanoid, the other alters. Animals that get her attention that she mimics.
đŸș she/they đŸș
Naturally very curious! Weird gremlin with a lot of energy! The most social of all the alters, but doesn't front often—usually only when we're in IRL social situations. But she loves to stick around for awhile once she's out and about, and therefore uses this account sometimes.
Loves to talk and get to know others and make others laugh and smile! Loves to compliment others (not in a flirty way) and very friendly. Very silly and stimmy, loves to love things, loves passion and creativity and artists, wants to try making therian & otherkin gear, the embodiment of 👁👄👁 whatever that means?? I think she means shes Very Creature, like the way owls stare and observe. Big ole lesbian. Somewhere on the ace spectrum. Very autism, much adhd. Toga Himiko-Hearted.
Wishes they could have friends and a partner but the rest of the system is very bad at keeping up with people. She's used to (& likes) posing as Lance irl, and as other alters online, hence; changeling.
Likes to collect certain things for their hoard; art posters, digital art, gems, sentimental knick-knacks, soft/fluffy blankets, notes and drawings etc we've done in the past.

No flirting if you interact with me.
As long as you aren't actively hurting someone else with your beliefs and actions, we're chill with you (im a firm believer in the block button if stuff you see upsets you and cultivating a safe space online for yourself rather than harassing others).
Antis in general make me uncomfortable and make us feel unsafe because of past experiences so its an interact with caution.
(Loud antis tend to make moral panic intrus*ve thoughts worse fyi, and usually aren't very ocd friendly if they're an active hater. But ones willing to be thoughtful and considerate and/or keep hate, disgust, distress, etc to themselves instead of commenting insults are ok.)
If you're racist, transphobic, homophobic, ableist, etc. Do not interact with me cause I aint got the time or energy for bullshit.
Don't like getting into syscourse.

We'll probably edit this in the future cause part of living is being ever changing and ever growing. But for now, I hope whoever reads this has a lovely day or night! Take care đŸ–€
If you knew this account before this post—I have changed this account to include the rest of of the system (not just Moss) since we've kind of all been using it. So we're changing the rest accordingly.

Happy STS! What is the best novel you've ever read? What did you like about it, from a storytelling perspective? Has it influenced or informed your own approach?
I am SO BAD at choosing favourites. I think I might've rambled about these books in a tag recently-ish but I'm gonna do it again.
I have two. I'm going with best as in "had the biggest impact on me in terms of my perception of writing as art" and "reread multiple times over decades, seeing something new every time".
Less Than Zero by Bret Eason Ellis
I read American Psycho first, which is definitely in my top 10 and got me into Bret Easton Ellis, but Less Than Zero absolutely FLOORED me. It is harrowing and beautiful and cold and sharply observational and aggressively detached and very much the "fucked up guys doing fucked up shit in a world where terrible things lie just beneath a shiny surface" style that I love reading and writing. It totally shook up my perspective of what a story could be.
I was definitely too young to have read it when I read it, but of all the things I've been too young to do when I did them, reading transgressive fiction is probably the least disturbing. It was the first book I remember reading that wasn't like "Here is a very plotty story where the things all happen in this order and they make sense in this specific way and there is a clear and logical narrative and message" and I fell in love. I'm still in love.
Life After God by Douglas Coupland
I read this around the same time as Less Than Zero. Apparently the authors who wrote all my life-changers are queer Gen Xers FOR SOME REASON. It's gentler on the surface than Less Than Zero, but Douglas Coupland has this way of tapping into the intricacies of human nature and putting me in characters' heads and lives that I'm not sure anyone else has ever managed to do so impactfully.
Life After God is more a collection of short stories than a novel-novel, kind of written to someone (or at least that's the feeling I got), that are connected-but-not. There's a lot of very resonant, of-its-time zeitgeisty stuff captured in those words (another thing Douglas Coupland does incredibly well), including the background hum of nuclear panic. Did he accidentally describe in great detail a recurring nightmare I've had for my whole life about a nuclear bomb? Yes. Am I over it almost thirty years later? No.

In fall of 1934 in the midst of the Great Depression, the family moved back to Ireland. Frank was 4 years old. His brother Malachy was 3 and the twins were 2 years old. Unable to find steady work in Belfast or Dublin and beset by Malachy Senior's alcoholism, the McCourt family returned to their mother's native Limerick, where they sank even deeper into poverty.[3]
They lived in a rain-soaked slum, the parents and children sharing one bed together, McCourt's father drinking away what little money they had. His father, being from the north and bearing a northern accent, found this trait to be an added stressor to finding a job. The twins Oliver and Eugene died in early childhood due to the squalor of their circumstances, and two more boys were born: Michael John, who later lived in San Francisco (where he was called the "Dean of Bartenders") until his death in September 2015;[5] and Alphonsus, who published a memoir of his own and died in 2016. Frank McCourt himself nearly died of typhoid fever when he was 11.
McCourt related that when he was 11, his father left Limerick to find work in the factories of wartime Coventry, England, rarely sending back money to support his family. McCourt recounts that eventually Malachy Senior abandoned Frank's mother altogether, leaving her to raise her four surviving children, on the edge of starvation, without any source of income.[3] Frank felt obliged as a child to steal bread, milk and lemonade in an effort to provide for his mother and three younger brothers, until relatives stepped in to aid the family.
Frank's formal education in Limerick ended at age 13,[3] when the Irish Christian Brothers rejected him as a student in their secondary school. Frank then worked for the post office delivering telegrams from age 14 to 16; then he worked for Eason's delivering magazines and newspapers, and he gave most of what he earned to his mother. Less formally and in secret, he wrote debt-collection letters for a local Limerick woman who paid for clothing and other items and allowed debtors to make payments with high interest rates. Frank saved his money and once he had saved enough to pay the fare to New York and have some money upon his arrival, he left Ireland on a freighter, at age 19.[4]
Reading between the lines here, you know I don't think Mr McCourt's parents actually were anxious bourgeoises who made sure young Mstr McCourt practiced piano - although one never knows, given the cult of the piano. It's much more likely he resented himself as *being* a "boring little shite" because, in comparison to the bourgeois academic circles he ended up in, he never had that.

Jenelle Evans‘ last attempt to do a podcast crashed and burned faster than her husband David Eason‘s rap career, but the fired Teen Mom 2 star is apparently ready to try again.
Last month, the first signs that Jenelle was once again planning to do a podcast surfaced. Her “Time of the Day” brand Instagram account (which was initially going to be the name of her weird mushroom coffee product
which also crashed and burned before it really even came out) posted a pic of Jenelle wearing headphones, as well as a caption promising that a “weekly podcast” would be launching soon.
This week, more pics of a headphones-wearing, smirking Jenelle were uploaded to Instagram and Facebook, with the captions that “things are about to get interesting.”
Tumblr media
Further exploration into The Time of the Day website gives us a description of what we can expect from this podcast.
And—predictably— it will be all about Jenelle.
The website threatens promises to dive “deep into the life, experiences, and stories of Jenelle Evans.
“Join us as we navigate through the highs and lows, the triumphs and challenges of Jenelle’s journey, giving you an unfiltered perspective on the woman behind the headlines,” it reads.
Unlike most podcasts hosts, who usually bring in guests to discuss various topics, Jenelle plans to focus her podcast mainly on herself.
The podcast website explains that each new episode will explore “various facets of Jenelle’s life – from her stardom to her personal struggles and more.”
It does also promise to bring in “exclusive interviews, expert insights and thought-provoking discussions.”
“Whether you’re a die-hard Jenelle fan or someone curious about the reality TV landscape, The Time of The Day offers a candid and authentic look into the world of a personality who has captured the public’s attention.”
The website says listeners will be taken on an “immersive journey through the life of Jenelle Evans.”
No. Seriously
it really says that. The Ashley can’t even make this stuff up.
“No topic is off-limits, and every story is told unfiltered,” the description adds.
Apparently, there will even be an online store where people going on this “immersive” Jenelle journey can go to buy podcast merchandise. (No products— not even JE Cosmetics eyebrow kits— are currently available, though.)
This is just Jenelle’s latest attempt to get a podcast going. Her first stab at it came in 2021 when she “launched” (i.e. did three episodes and quit) The Jenelle Evans Podcast. For her second (of three) episodes, Jenelle brought on a very special guest: her husband David.
While there was no set topic of discussion, David filled the airwaves with uppercuts (and his special swamp humor) but discussing topics such as  Britney Spears‘ “boobies,” dogs pooping on the carpet and his sweat output.
(The Ashley isn’t being funny here; these things actually happened, in addition to various Easons burping into the podcasting mic throughout the 45-minute episode.)
Jenelle’s second attempt at doing a podcast came in April of that year, when she joined (and then was fired from) a collective podcast called Girl S**t.
In November of that year, Jenelle told The Sun that she was planning on bringing back her long-lost Jenelle Evans podcast and— as a special treat to whoever the hell is machoistic enough to listen— David was also planning to launch his own podcast with his friends. Both podcasts would be broadcasted from Jenelle’s She-Shed on The Land.
“David wants to do a podcast now with his friends. Once we have it all set up, we’ll be using the shed for a lot of stuff,” Jenelle told The Sun in November 2021.
Neither thing ended up happening, though.
Currently, there is no launch date for The Time of the Day podcast and Jenelle has not publicly commented on when we can expect this straight-from-the-swamp special treat.

Limerick Hams to Dalkey by National Library of Ireland on The Commons Via Flickr: For today we have a view of a very familiar scene, O'Connell Bridge from the south side looking up O'Connell Street towards the Pillar. The activity captured here is just fascinating with the electric trams, the trucks, vans, cars and lots and lots of pedestrians. The sign in the foreground which shows that ladies must walk on the road is taking things a little bit too far!
