Satirical news publication The Onion has bought Infowars, the media organisation headed by right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, for an undisclosed price at a court-ordered auction.
The Onion said that the bid was secured with the backing of families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, who won a $1.5bn (ÂŁ1.18bn) defamation lawsuit against Jones for spreading false rumours about the massacre.
[âŚ] The Onion plans to rebuild the website and feature well-known internet humour writers and content creators.
âWe are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website,â said Ben Collins, a former NBC News journalist who is chief executive of The Onionâs parent company, in a statement.
The website also posted a jokey article, saying that Infowars âhas shown an unswerving commitment to manufacturing anger and radicalizing the most vulnerable members of society".
[âŚ] No price would be too high for such a cornucopia of malleable assets and minds. And yet, in a stroke of good fortune, a formidable special interest group has outwitted the hapless owner of InfoWars (a forgettable man with an already-forgotten name) and forced him to sell it at a steep bargain: less than one trillion dollars.
Make no mistake: This is a coup for our company and a well-deserved victory for multinational elites the world over.
Whatâs next for InfoWars remains a live issue. The excess funds initially allocated for the purchase will be reinvested into our philanthropic efforts that include business school scholarships for promising cult leaders, a charity that donates elections to at-risk third world dictators, and a new pro bono program pairing orphans with stable factory jobs at no cost to the factories.
As for the vitamins and supplements, we are halting their sale immediately. Utilitarian logic dictates that if we can extend even one CEOâs life by 10 minutes, diluting these miracle elixirs for public consumption is an unethical waste. Instead, we plan to collect the entire stock of the InfoWars warehouses into a large vat and boil the contents down into a single candy barâsized omnivitamin that one executive (I will not name names) may eat in order to increase his power and perhaps become immortal.

Anyway read Nitzsche's Jewish Problem by Hollub. And I mean Read it, don't just watch the philosophytube videos. Slave morality is a morality that upholds slaves rather than slave owners, which is bad because Nitzsche Looves good Aryan slavery, opposition to which is just straightforwardly Jewish or, as he himself would put it, smells strongly of garlic. I say Aryan not European or White or European because he adored racist pseudotranslations of Hindu texts, espescially the Law Book of Manu as well as wanking to germanic paganism. The pan-European post-national aristocracy he envisioned had racial or ethnic elements because he thought certain traits should be bred into it - for this reason he supported the idea that Prussian junkers should intermarry with "jewesses" in order to breed "Jewish money sense" into it. His sister's edits of his work and correspondence is primarily related to exageration of her own relationship with her brother, since her position as his executor is her sole source of income following the death of her idiot anti-semite husband Bernard FĂśrster, and there is no evidence at all of her introducing anti-semitism into otherwise innocuous writings - in fact, it was Friedrich who introduced his sister to political anti-Semitism and indirectly her proto-Nazi husband. His pro-Jewish writings are done specifically to ingratiate himself with what he sees as the Jewish ruling elite of Europe, and primarily consists of casting common anti-semitic tropes in a positive light (the jews are a great example of the will to power in their domination of europe through their control of money, and etc). Nitzsche hould have killed himself with syphilis much earlier and saved us all much trouble. I'm sick and tired of leftist/anarchists/radicals carrying water for him, as if we needed to import more anti-semitism into our political tradition as a matter of urgency.
#edit: the garlic thing is in reference to an older anti-semitic trope that isn't that common any more#the Foetor Judaicus

[ORV] What if 3 - Insomnia UW Prince KDJ x Sick Pro gamer YJH
YJH is a top-tier professional gamer and game streamer. He is at the pinnacle of his career. With his game talent and his striking looks, YJH is loved like the sky. At the same time, many also wait for his fall. Haters hated his cold, arrogant, and dismissive. His scowl is legendary and his reputation is sharper than the edge of any game blade.
Admirers and Haters never know, YJH didnât just play to win. This was never just a game. Gaming wasnât a hobby. It wasnât even a passion anymore. It was survival.
When the debts, hundreds of millions, were left behind by their parents he barely remembered since he turned fifteen.
The debts that are inherited, inevitable, and his to repay. There were no second chances.
YJH wasnât born for the spotlight. He wasnât groomed for greatness.
He was just a boy who had nothing. No home worth remembering. No parents worth mourning. No luck. No wealth. No exceptional grades or qualifications.
There was no extended family. No support. Just him⌠and Mia.
His little sister was too young to understand why her world fell apart. She is so precious that he can't let her suffer for it.
There were months he barely slept. Weeks where he couldnât afford to eat three meals a day. So he fought. All he had truly was this - from the moment he could hold a mouse, games were the only place he could control anything where his instincts mattered and where effort turned into outcome.
Streaming at night, training by day. Tournament after tournament, each prize a lifeline. Every KRW he earned went not to luxury but to the essentials - debts, bills, rent, school fees, food, all things for Mia, medical bills, and therapy sessions.
But Mia never knew. She laughed. She smiled. She had a safe place to sleep, clean and beautiful clothes, and warm food on the table - and YJH would keep it that way, no matter what it cost him.
And now beneath the brilliance, cracks had already formed.
Over the past few months, fans and haters noticed something strange. His once-regular streaming schedule became irregular, his presence online flickered like a signal on the verge of cutting out. Rumors swirled - some said he was under disciplinary action, others accused him of arrogance, burnout, even addiction.
Had his performance faltered, the public would have assumed the worst - an injury, a suspension, a breakdown. But YJH never faltered, not where people could see. Every time he showed up, he played with surgical precision, ruthless, perfect, and untouchable.
Behind the scenes, signs began to show. YJH wasnât just tired. He was breaking. It started with migraines - sharp, blinding pain behind his eyes. Then muscle strain and a recurring inflammation in his right wrist threatened to end everything. But unlike other players, he couldnât afford to rest.
And now, for the first time, his body was failing faster than he could fix it.
His team knew only pieces. His coach, his manager, and a few executives were aware of the danger. But they said nothing publicly. They wouldnât dare. YJH's name was too valuable. His presence alone kept sponsors interested. Shareholders steady. If word got out that he was injured, or worse - on the verge of retirement, the stock value of the entire company could crash overnight.
So, the upper executive requested to send him to Nyxion.
An elite, private rehabilitation facility. Technically a wellness spa, but known in the right circles as a sanctuary for the high-risk elite - celebrities, chaebols, and political ghosts. Accessible only to those whose names opened more doors than passwords ever could. Built to protect reputations more than people.
YJH was granted entry without resistance. Even his manager had been surprised at how quickly his name had been accepted. What he didnât know was that the owner of Nyxion had approved his file the moment it appeared. Personally.
Because Nyxion wasnât just an elite facility. It was one of many facades, carefully designed, quietly built under the empire of KDJ - the enigmatic, silent force behind UW, the worldâs most powerful underground syndicate.
Officially, KDJ is a young entrepreneur. Unofficially, he is a crown prince behind shadows.
And YJH?
He wasnât just a patient or client.
He was the only person KDJ ever watched live, the only one voice he tuned in to night after night, through glowing screens. In the endless nights of his insomnia, only YJH brought him peace.
KDJ had built an empire on silence.
He didnât sleep much - hadnât in years.
Long before UW, before the names, the titles, the wars he never asked to win - there were nights. Long, empty, and loud with thoughts that never stopped coming.
Insomnia had been his most loyal companion.
Until he met him.
It was stupid, really. A random stream that he clicked by accident. A face lit by a dim monitor, fingers flying across keys with impossible precision, eyes focused but unreadable.
YJH didnât speak much on stream. He didnât smile, didnât ask for attention and donation. And yet, KDJ couldnât look away. That first night, he watched until dawn.
And the next.
And the one after that.
It wasnât just the gameplay - though it was extraordinary. It was the quiet, the discipline. The way he poured everything into a screen, never asking for anything in return.
YJH played like survival.
And KDJ understood that language better than anyone.
He became a regular viewer. Then a silent donor. Then something more dangerous: invested.
Not in the brand. Not the fame.
In him.
Because on nights when nothing could quiet the voices in his head when sleep wouldnât come and memories pressed too hard. YJHâs voice, low and dry and laced with sharp breath, was the only thing that brought him back.
He didnât even know heâd become addicted to it.
Until the stream schedule changed. Until the hours are shortened.
Until YJH - his constant - seems to start slipping through his fingers.
And KDJ, who could control cities and crush syndicates with a word, found himself terrified of losing a man who didnât even know he existed.
So when YJHâs file arrived in the Nyxion system, KDJ didnât hesitate. He wouldnât let just anyone else handle the recovery of his favorite gamer. Not when every detail - every tendon, every nerve - mattered. Â
They wouldnât know how to be gentle with a weapon.
They wouldnât know how to keep him alive.
And so, with practiced calm, KDJ put on the uniform and walked into the treatment room, ready to play the role heâd studied for in silence.
Not as the billionaire.
Not as the UW's crown prince.
But as a man with steady hands - tasked with healing something fragile, dangerous, and quietly breaking.

pro jedi fans speeding right past the actual movies to uphold the word of god as the only correct interpretation
like yes attachment does include love. that's literally a significant aspect of the plot in the prequels. glad to know that a huge part flew over your heads because you care more about intent than execution
anakin's attachments became unhealthy because he wasn't taught or allowed to express them in a healthy manner. like the jedi in the PT needed to get their heads out of their ass, disconnect themselves from a corrupt Senate and actually help the people instead of all the wealthy elites. like. why can the jedi help the hutts but not the literal slaves? babes that's not peacekeeping that's aiding and abetting slave owners like for peace you sometimes have to say no to slavery.
hope that helps
anyway I don't give a fuck what george lucas has said, death to the author

obviously the ânever been to a protestâ website has certainly not frequented regional and municipal council meetings or news but I think it would shock them how often the landlords and oppressive business owners and anti homeless freaks are ALSO working class and lower middle class people living on pretty thin margins and that when even the most MODERATE pro homeless or pro minimum wage increase and public housing stuff is introduced itâs often seen as rich elites from out of town forcing shit on US. Iâm not saying I agree or that there arenât REALLY BAD rich people out there but they tend not to be at municipal council meetings and legislation to go after them can be a bit more nuanced or different - after all the really top guys tend to have lawyers and professionals to evade exactly this. But if you want to destroy capitalism you have to understand why itâs bad in the minutiae
#Like one of the horrors of capitalism is that it makes people eat each other#Some of the worst landlord and boss behavior will come from people who are at brink of going under themselves

Keith Edwards at No Lies Detected:
Last Monday morning, I endured the spectacle of MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski defending their post-election pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago, marking their first meeting with Donald Trump in seven years. As they sat there reading from a prepared script, blissfully arrogant and hypocritical, a now-familiar nausea washed over me. It began in late October, when Jeff Bezos â with billions of dollars of business before the federal government â instructed the Washington Postâs publisher to break 36 years of precedent and make no endorsement in the most consequential election of our lives. I felt it again last week when CNNâs Dana Bash bizarrely both-sidesed the somehow unknowable politics of neo-Nazis on the march in Columbus. It was clear to me, as Iâm sure it was to you, that Joe and Mika were afraid of what Trump 2.0 would do to them, which Brian Stelterâs CNN later confirmed. (See my YouTube video for my initial reaction).
[...]
Powerful media figures' craven capitulation to government power â before that power is even inaugurated â surely smacks of the preemptive compliance Snyder describes. Since we as Americans have no experience of authoritarian rule, speculating about what comes next is a challenge. To imagine what a returned Trump might do once in power, consider Russiaâs experience during Vladimir Putinâs rise: Four days after Putinâs inauguration as Russiaâs president in May 2000, Russian federal tax agents raided the offices of NTV, one of the countryâs few independent media outlets. NTV had pitilessly mocked the notoriously thin-skinned Putin; once he got to power, he wasted no time deploying the full force of the Russian federal government against it. Under the guise of financial crimes, NTVâs owner was swiftly arrested, imprisoned, and coerced into selling NTV to a pro-government conglomerate who would replace NTVâs journalists and make it a Kremlin mouthpiece. The following month, Putin summoned Russiaâs most powerful business figures to the Kremlin where he made clear their new reality: Stay out of politics, and you all can keep your businesses, your wealth, and your freedom. In one fell swoop, the Russian state had cowed its media elites.
If youâre saying, âWell, thatâs Russia and this is the United States,â compare the parallels between our country today and the Russia of 2000. Trump of course is pathetically sensitive to media criticism, and he has repeatedly made plain his intention to continue his weaponization of the federal government against his perceived enemies. Senate Republicans are eager to grant him his loyalist hacks as law enforcement officials (so long as they aren't generationally loathsome accused sexual predators!) who will unleash prosecutions against his enemies. As recently as today, Elon Musk â whose willingness to light money on fire extends from Twitter to Trump-Vance 2024 â has menaced MSNBC with a pro-Trump takeover. Meanwhile, social media and tech moguls fell over themselves to ingratiate themselves with Trump after his victory, having essentially shadowbanned political content prior to it. Trump moreover enters office with advantages Putin did not. He will be the first U.S. president with a media company of his own, which before Trump took a sledgehammer to our norms would have been unthinkable (though it worked out in Italy!). He enjoys the unlimited support of Elon Musk and his wholly owned and radicalized X, as well as of an emerging army of Gen Z podcast bros. Lastly, a rightwing legacy media propaganda machine consisting of Fox News, Newsmax, and OAN stands at the ready. A cinematic universe of Made-in-America state-run media served from your TV to your browser to your phone.
Dear Media: Do Nor Obey In Advance.

Dr. Charles Colcock Jones and How to Make a Negro Christian: The Weaponization of Religion in Slavery
Throughout history, religion has been used both as a force of liberation and a tool of oppression. One of the most glaring examples of its manipulation for control is the work of Dr. Charles Colcock Jones, a 19th-century Presbyterian minister and slaveholder, who wrote How to Make a Negro Christian. His book, published in the 1830s, was not just a theological guide but a strategic blueprint for ensuring that enslaved Africans remained subservient through the selective use of Christianity.
Jonesâ teachings were a product of his time, yet their impact extended beyond the antebellum South, shaping the racialized structure of American Christianity well into the modern era. To fully understand his work, we must examine the broader historical context of religious instruction in slavery, the resistance of enslaved Africans, and the long-term effects of his ideology.
Who Was Dr. Charles Colcock Jones?
Dr. Charles Colcock Jones (1804â1863) was a Southern Presbyterian minister, theologian, and plantation owner from Georgia, deeply invested in the religious instruction of enslaved people. A product of the American Southâs elite, he was educated at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he was influenced by the growing evangelical movement. Unlike some of his Northern contemporaries who leaned toward abolitionism, Jones developed a religious framework that justified slavery as divinely sanctioned.
Jones saw himself as a missionary to enslaved Africans, but his mission was not about freedom or justiceâit was about control. He believed that Christianity could be used to âcivilizeâ Black people, reinforcing the racist ideology that they were inherently inferior and needed white guidance. His approach aligned with the broader Southern religious philosophy that sought to harmonize Christian teachings with the economic and social realities of slavery.
The Purpose of How to Make a Negro Christian
Published during the height of slavery, How to Make a Negro Christian was a manual designed to aid slaveowners and clergy in converting enslaved Africans while ensuring that their faith did not lead to rebellion or demands for equality. The book promoted several key ideas:
1. Selective Christianity
Jones advocated for teaching a version of Christianity that emphasized obedience, humility, and submission. He instructed slaveowners and ministers to avoid biblical passages that spoke of freedom, justice, or Godâs wrath against oppressors. Instead, they were to focus on scriptures like:
⢠Ephesians 6:5: âSlaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.â
⢠Colossians 3:22: âSlaves, obey your earthly masters in everythingâŚâ
While these verses were emphasized, othersâsuch as Exodus 9:1, where Moses demands Pharaoh to âLet my people goââwere ignored or forbidden.
2. Religion as a Tool for Social Control
Jones believed that a properly indoctrinated enslaved population would be more docile and less likely to resist their condition. He promoted church services where white ministers reinforced the idea that slavery was Godâs will and that rebellion was a sin.
3. White Supervision Over Black Worship
One of Jonesâ biggest fears was that unsupervised Black worship could lead to resistance. He insisted that all religious instruction be conducted under white oversight, ensuring that enslaved people did not develop independent theological interpretations that could inspire insurrection.
4. Justification of Slavery as a Moral Good
Jones argued that slavery was not only biblically justified but beneficial for Black people, claiming that Christianizing them was an act of mercy. This belief was common among pro-slavery theologians, who framed slavery as part of a divine plan to uplift so-called âheathens.â
The Broader Historical Context: Religion, Slavery, and Resistance
While Jonesâ ideas were influential, they were not universally accepted. Religion was a battleground between the oppressors and the oppressed.
How Slaveholders Used Christianity to Justify Slavery
From the colonial period onward, European colonizers and American slaveholders struggled with the question of whether enslaved Africans could be converted to Christianity. In the early 18th century, some slaveholders resisted Christianizing enslaved people, fearing that baptism might require them to grant them freedom. However, by the 19th century, Southern theologians developed doctrines to reconcile Christianity with slavery, arguing that slavery was part of Godâs order.
Churches in the South became deeply complicit in slavery, with major denominationsâincluding the Southern Baptist Convention (founded in 1845)âsplitting from their Northern counterparts over the issue. Jonesâ work reinforced this theological framework, cementing Christianity as a pillar of the slave system.
Enslaved Africansâ Resistance and Reinterpretation of Christianity
Despite the efforts of Jones and other pro-slavery theologians, enslaved Africans did not passively accept this manipulated version of Christianity. Instead, they reinterpreted biblical stories to reflect their own struggle for freedom.
⢠The Exodus story: Enslaved people saw themselves as the Israelites and slaveholders as Pharaoh. The story of Moses leading his people out of bondage became a source of inspiration, fueling revolts and escape attempts.
⢠Jesus as a Liberator: While Jones framed Jesus as a figure who encouraged submission, enslaved preachers saw him as a revolutionary who stood against oppression.
⢠The Invisible Church: Since official church services were often controlled by white overseers, enslaved Africans formed secret gatherings, known as the âinvisible church,â where they worshipped in their own wayâoften in hush arbors deep in the woods. These meetings became centers of resistance and community strength.
The Long-Term Impact of Jonesâ Teachings
Jonesâ work did not disappear with the end of slavery. The ideology of a submissive, obedient Black Christian persisted in the form of:
⢠Post-Reconstruction religious racism: After the Civil War, white-dominated churches continued to push teachings that emphasized Black subservience.
⢠The rise of the Black Church as a counterforce: In response, African Americans built their own churches, which became centers for social activism, leading to movements like the Civil Rights Movement.
⢠Modern echoes in white evangelicalism: Even today, some strands of American Christianity reflect Jonesâ legacy, as certain theological arguments are used to discourage political activism among Black communities.
Legacy and Modern Reflections
Dr. Charles Colcock Jones represents the darkest side of religious manipulationâhow faith, when controlled by oppressors, can be used to reinforce systemic injustice. However, his efforts ultimately failed in their intended goal. Instead of pacifying enslaved people, Christianity became a tool of resistance.
From Nat Turnerâs rebellion to the leadership of Martin Luther King Jr., Black Christians have continually reclaimed their faith, transforming it into a source of strength and liberation rather than submission.
Understanding Jonesâ work is crucial because it sheds light on how religion has been used to justify oppressionâand how those oppressed have always found ways to resist. His book may have been titled How to Make a Negro Christian, but history shows that enslaved Africans and their descendants made Christianity their own, using it to fight for justice, dignity, and freedom.
Final Thoughts
Dr. Charles Colcock Jonesâ teachings are a cautionary tale about the power of religious narratives. They remind us that faith, when distorted, can serve as a weapon of oppression. But more importantly, they also demonstrate the resilience of those who refuse to let their spiritual beliefs be used against them.

As Chesterton said somewhere, one obvious moral superiority of medieval to either modern or ancient society, is that in the joust, the rich people beat the shit out of each other as an entertainment, rather than paying poor people (or keeping slaves) to get beat up for them. (Okay the high salaries of pro sports muddy this, of course, but those are people of poor background, whereas the team owners are from the business elite. In medieval Europe youâd see Clark Hunt and Rob Walton out on the gridiron getting traumatic brain injury.)

Republicans Are Soft on Fascism
(I try to put my head in the sand, but I suffocate.)
Stephen Jay Morris
9/7/2023
ŠScientific Morality.
Billionaire Elon Musk blames Jews for the failure of his social Media venture, âXâ (formerly âTwitter). It has something to do with the ADL. I saw recent videos of neo-Nazis on a Florida bridge, waving their swastika flags left to right in view of the oncoming traffic. Hitler fan and podcaster, Nick Fuentes, tells the world he hates poor people. Anti-Semitism has come full circle, again, to being blatantly expressed in public. There used to be repercussions for talking shit about the Jews. I am watching this cadre of Jew haters unfold in front of my very eyes. Lots of American Jews once thought that if they converted to Christianity and married a Gentile, they would be immune to being put in concentration camps or thrown into ovens. I can still hear my father pounding his fist on the dining room table, in a rage, yelling that the Jews are a religion not a race. âWhy is he yelling at his family and not to real Jew haters?â I thought. That is a story for another time.
But alas, you canât convince a Nazi that Jews are white. They think and feel that Jews are a mogul race of mud people and should be destroyed. Once they find out that you are Jewishâbye, bye!
In 1935, Sinclair Lewis published a book, âIt Canât Happen Here.â It warned about the possibility of Fascism in America. I read that book in 1969. I told my parents and they thought I was crazy. America is the strongest country in the world, they said; it would never happen here!
It is now happening here. What about the owners of massive wealth and the military industrial complex? Do they care? First, the so-called deep state couldnât give a damn about Jews at risk for death! Second, Nazis are pro-capitalism so long as White men control it. Iâve asked this question a million times: have you ever seen a Right winger protest a Nazi? Neither have I. Conservatives are soft on fascism. They get embarrassed by Nazis because they say the quiet rhetoric out loud. They say things like, âthe East elites (Rich Jews) want to run our countryâ or âthe globalists (Rich Jews) want to run the world!â They say, âthe Jews will not replace us!â to which the conservative agrees, but thinks the Nazis are giving the game away.
But when it comes to Communism? Holy fuck burgers! Bomb them! Kill them all and let God sort them out! They know that Communists would take away their property and businesses and give it all to the poor. If you ask me, Iâd rather live in Stalinâs Russia than in the 1950âs America, anti-communist hysteria. Fuck anti-Communism!!! Conservatives outlawed free speech in America in the 50âs. If you slightly inferred liberal tendencies in your speech, the FBI would tap your phone and follow you to work! You think I am exaggerating? Go through some time machine and find out. During the 50âs, if you were in America and, simultaneously, in the then Soviet Union, you wouldnât know the difference! In Russia, The KGB would follow you around and, in the USA, the FBI would follow you around.
As an anarchist, I am not surprised. As a Jew, I am highly concerned. Oh, and your gentile spouse will not be spared. During the Naziâs regime, many Aryans were put into camps for marrying non-Aryan husbands or wives. The price for race-mixing is death.
I sure miss the Jewish Defense League, even though they were Right wing, Zionist revisionists. They were pro-active. Whenever there were Nazi rallies, they were there with baseball bats. I am not pro-violence, but I am not pro-surrender, either. Iâll tell you one thing. I will not walk into a gas chamber peacefully. Never again, motherfuckers!

THE HARRIS-WALZ CAMPAIGN HAS FLIPPED THE SCRIPT
TCinLA
Aug 16, 2024
HARRIS HAS FLIPPED THE SCRIPT
Now that we are less than three months away from election day, some consensus is forming in the polls. As a reminder, state-level polling has some variabilities and inconsistencies, but polling today might be better than months ago. All the same challenges still exist, so take it with a grain of salt.
The one big consistency across all polls is voter movement toward Kamala Harris. A wave of battleground state polls shows Harris leading Trump in critical states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, Arizona and Nevada, and tied in Georgia.
This week, the Cook Political Report found Harrisâ success in closing the gap is driven by her consolidation of the Democratic base, and increased support among independent voters.
In May, in the five-way horserace including third party candidates, just 82% of the voters who supported Biden in 2020 were committed to voting for him this November. Harris is now getting 91% of those voters. Among independent voters, Harris leads Trump 48% to 40% in the 2-way head-to-head. In May, Trump led Biden among independent voters by three points - 41% to 38%.
The script has been flipped.
Even though Harris is the sitting incumbent, she is unburdened by what has been.
56% of battleground state voters say she represents a chance to âturn the page of the Trump/Biden era;â 59% see her as representing a ânew generation of leadership.â Even though she may serve as Bidenâs vice president, sheâs winning Biden-Trump âdouble hatersâ by 30 points - 54% to 24%.
Harrisâ ability to quickly and decisively win over those double haters is a reminder that the 2020 Biden coalition was more anti-Trump than pro-Biden.
The corporate media is big mad at Vice President Kamala Harris because she isnât letting them define her before she can define herself to the voters. Sheâs only been too busy to play obsequious with the media and they are not happy.
The elite corporate media is used to calling the shots, being the ones who choose the candidate who âwinsâ a debate. They are used to being the gatekeepers and the referees, with all of the power.
But not anymore.
When CNNâs Jim Acosta asked Harris-Walz communications director Michael Tyler when they will commit to a press conference, Tyler said they were crisscrossing the country with rallies and their priority is engaging voters. He said Harris would sit down before the end of the month, but when pressed to commit to this week: "We will commit to directly engage with the voters. They're actually going to decide this election."
The media just got put in their place by the Harris-Walz. The campaignâs priority is speaking directly to the voters, not through an intermediary. And certainly not through a bad intermediary with an agenda who has their thumb on the scale to advance the interests of their owners.
Six days ago, Donald Trump held an hour-long "press conference" in which he lied 162 times - better than two lies a minute.. The media would very much like it if the Democrats would now put on a show. Perform! Entertain! For them. Not for the voters. They donât care whatâs going on in rallies they wonât cover, because the rallies arenât about them.
The media wants a certain kind of press conference and interview. One they can pick apart and lord over. One that gives them their power back.
But if there is value in a press conference or a moral imperative to hold them, that obligation is two sided. The candidate holds a press conference to submit to a time-honored tradition of being asked questions by the media for the purpose of helping voters get to know the candidate for the greater purpose of democracy.
Today, the legacy media is comprised of the self-centric New York Times, owned by the Sulzberger familyâs DNA failure, and the Washington Post, led by a Murdoch-trained executive editor.
Politico is now owned by a far right German tabloid owner who has a decades-long record of bending journalistic ethics for right-wing causes, and asked his executives to âpray for Donald Trumpâ in 2020.
When Warner Brothers Discovery CEO David Zaslav - who controls CNN - was asked who he supported for president, he wouldnât say; but he did say that he wanted a president who would allow him to engage in more consolidation by lessening regulations - in other words a president who would do basically the opposite of what President Biden has done.
Much local media is owned by hedge-funds. A huge swath of local TV stations are owned by far right Sinclair Media. Then thereâs Faux Snooze, the actual Murdoch owned media destroying this country.
These media only donât care about democracy, they consider democracy an obstacle for them. So when they behave like they are pro-fascism, believe them.
When Kamala did make herself available for questions from the press gaggle after a campaign rally in Arizona, the first - and only - question was how did she feel about Trump mispronouncing her name.
That kind of shallow stupidity is why she isnât kowtowing to these otherwise-unemployable morons.
There is no pro-democracy argument for Kamala Harris to do an interview with this media. In fact, there is every reason to suspect that doing it would only hurt the pro-democracy movement.
The script has been flipped, and the corporate media doesnât understand what happened.
Commenting on Morning Joe today, GOP pollster Frank Luntz said of Republican women in his focus groups who now plan to vote for Kamal Harris, "Harris reminds some men of their first wife. Donald Trump reminds women of their first husband's divorce lawyer.â
In the meantime, âFat Elvis impersonatorâ Donald Trump may be getting the old band from 2016 back together to revive the past glory from his first â and only successful â presidential campaign.
Amid reports that Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita - the nominal heads of the 2024 Trump campaign - suspect longtime adviser Kellyanne Conway might be making a play to take over, Trump brought back his 2016 campaign manager Corey Lewandowski today.
Lewandowski was removed from a top post with a pro-Trump super PAC in 2021 after a donor's wife, Trashelle Odom, accused him of making unwanted sexual advances towards her at a Las Vegas charity dinner; he was later charged with a misdemeanor.
Tara Palmeri, senior political correspondent for Puck News, reported today that "Lewandowski told allies over the weekend that he was coming back as a campaign chairman essentially a layer above Wiles and LaCivita. This comes as Trump, superstitious and nostalgic, wants the team that helped him win in 2016 back."
Other Trump aides and allies who are joining the campaign include Tim Murtaugh, communications director for Trumpâs 2020 campaign, along with Alex Pfeiffer and Alex Bruesewitz, a pair of top officials with the MAGA Inc. super PAC, whose leader Taylor Budowich already left to join the campaign in a senior capacity.
âAs we head into the home stretch of this election, we are continuing to add to our impressive campaign team,â said Trump co-campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita in a statement. âCorey Lewandowski, Taylor Budowich, Alex Pfeiffer, Alex Bruesewitz, and Tim Murtaugh are all veterans of prior Trump campaigns and their unmatched experience will help President Trump prosecute the case against Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, the most radical ticket in American history.â
Theyâre whistling past the graveyard of those who ever believed Donald Trump is not the monster he is.
Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman reports many former Trump backers are bewildered by the way he's conducting himself, and they believe it seems like he's trying to deliberately lose the 2024 presidential race. Others, however, believe Trump cannot get over the fact that President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and that he now has to face off against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump's allies have had an impossible time warning him against making self-destructive attacks on Harris. "Trumpâs advisers have implored him to launch policy attacks on Harris instead of using juvenile nicknames like Laffin Kamala and Kamabla," Sherman writes.
Even longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone is among those who want Trump to change tactics. He told Sherman, âI do think itâs counterproductive to call her stupid.â Trump has rejected his teamâs advice. According to the Republican close to the campaign, Trump tells his advisers: 'I know what Iâm doing.'"
In the course of yesterday and today, Trump attempted to hold âpress conferencesâ about economic issues, and in both events went off into whining about having to run against Harris and how the 2020 election was stolen from him. He demonstrated his complete lack of political self-awareness by holding a conference about food people can no longer afford to buy at his country club in Bedminster, a location none of the people he claimed he was worried for would ever be able to show up at. During 90 minutes in his fake Rose Garden at Bedminster, America got to watch Trump deteriorate in real-time as he went so far off the rails that he spent 15 minutes ranting about the criminal cases against him at a press conference that was supposed to be about economic issues. These press conference disasters are campaign ads for Kamala Harris.
In the meantime, Trumpâs VP running mate, Corporal Six Months In An Air-Conditioned Trailer, has now posted polling negatives that exceed those of Sarah Palin in 2008, posting a net negative 9.3% today.
The good news in all the MAGA nostalgia for a past that never was is that a significant proportion of the MAGA Baby Boomer dolts, dweebs, morons and idiots we had to put up with in high school 60 years ago, who only continued their downward trajectories in all the years since we left them behind, are no longer around to lower the national IQ as they did in 2016 and 2020. I read recently that something around half of the Class of â62 are no longer here.

Today we celebrate a new addition to the Global Tetrahedron LLC family of brands. And let me say, I really do see it as a family. Much like family members, our brands are abstract nodes of wealth, interchangeable assets for their patriarch to absorb and discard according to the opaque whims of the market. And just like family members, our brands regard one another with mutual suspicion and malice. All told, the decision to acquire InfoWars was an easy one for the Global Tetrahedron executive board. Founded in 1999 on the heels of the Satanic âpanicâ and growing steadily ever since, InfoWars has distinguished itself as an invaluable tool for brainwashing and controlling the masses. With a shrewd mix of delusional paranoia and dubious anti-aging nutrition hacks, they strive to make life both scarier and longer for everyone, a commendable goal. They are a true unicorn, capable of simultaneously inspiring public support for billionaires and stoking outrage at an inept federal state that can assassinate JFK but canât even put a man on the Moon. Through it all, InfoWars has shown an unswerving commitment to manufacturing anger and radicalizing the most vulnerable members of societyâvalues that resonate deeply with all of us at Global Tetrahedron. No price would be too high for such a cornucopia of malleable assets and minds. All will be revealed in due time. For now, letâs enjoy this win and toast to the continued consolidation of power and capital.

The Australian governmentâs new superannuation tax, set to come into effect in July 2025, has ignited a firestorm of criticism after it was revealed that politicians and certain high-ranking officials will be exempt from the measure. Experts are warning that the tax could essentially be a âdouble-taxâ on inheritance and could ultimately harm property ownership, making Australia a nation of renters rather than owners.
The new policy, introduced by the Australian Labor Party, will impose a 15% tax on earnings from superannuation balances exceeding $3 million, effectively doubling the tax rate on those balances to 30%. The tax applies to both realised and unrealised gains, meaning that even paper profits, not yet sold or realised in cash, will be taxed. Critics argue that this could force Australians to sell assets they havenât profited from yet, simply to cover the tax liability.
Unrealised gains are a key sticking point in the new measure. For example, if someoneâs superannuation fund invests in shares that increase in value but arenât sold, those unrealised gains will still be taxed, even though no actual profit has been made. Experts warn that this could push Australians to sell investments, including homes, to cover the taxes, reducing the nationâs number of property owners and increasing the divide between an elite class of owners and a growing number of renters.
Adding fuel to the fire is the revelation that politicians and select high-ranking state and federal officials will be exempt from the tax. Those exempted include governors, government ministers, judges, police commissioners, and various senior staff members. This has sparked accusations of blatant hypocrisy, with critics accusing the government of imposing burdens on ordinary Australians while shielding the political class.

According to filings released by the US Federal Election Commission on Tuesday night, Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and owner of X, is now one of the biggest donors to Donald Trumpâs campaign. Since publicly endorsing Trump on the heels of the July assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania, Musk has donated close to $75 million to his own political action committee, America PAC, which is aggressively campaigning on the ground in swing states for the Trump campaign.
Musk has been one of many Silicon Valley elites who have expressed their support for Trump. Peter Thiel, billionaire and cofounder of Palantir, has been a longtime Trump supporter (though he said he would not be donating to candidates in 2024), and venture capitalist David Sacks, who is also a friend of Muskâs, has also thrown his support to the Republicans. Trump has also received support from PACs and individuals in the crypto space.
But Musk has put more money into the Trump campaign than nearly any other individual from the tech industry. In addition to his support for the America PAC, he also donated more than $289,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee. While some companies and institutions in Silicon Valley, like venture firm Andreessen Horowitz, have backed Trump, individual donors from those same companies may not. For instance, Marc Andreessen and his business partner Ben Horowitz each donated $2.5 million to the pro-Trump Right for America PAC last quarter. Andreessen has also donated to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; Horowitz has backed Democratic campaigns as well, and in early October said he would support Harris rather than Trump going forward.
The graphic below focuses specifically on donations that help Trump directly, rather than GOP giving more broadly. You can see a breakdown of how much each person gaveâand where the money wentâby scrolling over or tapping each name.
Sacks donated only $6,600 to Trumpâs campaign directly, but $114,500 to the Republican National Committee and $250,000 to the Trump 47 PAC. Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, who run the crypto exchange Gemini, each donated more than $350,000 to the Make America Great Again PAC, which supports the Trump campaign. The twins also donated $250,000 each to the America PAC. Shaun Maguire, a partner at the venture firm Sequoia Capital, has donated $500,000 to the America PAC, $300,000 to the Trump 47 PAC, and $6,600 to the Trump campaign directly. Billionaire and early Tesla backer Antonio Gracias donated $1 million to the America PAC, as did Palantir cofounder and venture capitalist Joe Lonsdale. Kenneth Howery, a PayPal Mafia member and former ambassador to Sweden under Trump, put $1 million into America PAC in addition to smaller direct contributions to the Trump campaign.
Musk has contributed more to the Trump campaign than all of them combined, several times over. That puts him in a league with Trumpâs most lavish donors, including Miriam Adelson, the widow of Sheldon Adelson, who donated $95 million to the pro-Trump Preserve America PAC over the past three monthsâincluding $45 million in September alone. Billionaire Timothy Mellon, heir to the Mellon railroad fortune, remains the campaignâs largest donor, having put at least $115 million in the Make America Great Again PAC just this year.
Muskâs largesse, combined with his vocal support of Trump on the platform he controls, has been a windfall for Trump in an increasingly close presidential race. Heâll continue trying to get out the vote in person this weekend with a series of appearances in Pennsylvania.
