Here comes the Berliner Kitchen ! I've been very inspired by the handmade kitchen from The Berline Chapters on tiktok and really wanted to add this to the game ! The feature I like the most that you saw on the wip is the back counter elements that enables storage behind the counters and keep the surface empty ! I also loved the raw concrete wall with the tiles, and I am very happy with the result on it in the game !

The kitchen comes with wood, plain color and also metallic version. I can't wait to see what you will do with it !

Quick tip to place the back counters and counters properly, use F5 to unlock quarter tile placement, and there you go !

A Maxis Match Lighting Mod Tweak!

As requested by @jellymeduza I'm sharing my tweak of @dreadpirate's fabulous Maxis Match lighting mod. This makes the unlit rooms during dawn and dusk a bit brighter (closer to how they appear at nighttime) and tweaks the colour-cast a bit too. The photos above are all four time of day states including with my tweaks - but nothing about day or night was actually changed from the original MM lighting mod.

Below are all the before and after pictures for dawn/dusk next to each other - before is the MM lighting mod "out of the box" and after is with my tweaks.

How to install:

Download the Maxis Match lighting mod exactly as per dreadpirates instructions. (don't worry about the part on enabling or disabling dawn and dusk states, that will be included in my edit)

Replace your lighting.txt file with mine included in this download - this will be in your base game install folders, for the UC the file path is "Double Deluxe/Base/TSData/Res/Lights" and you'll be overwriting the lighting.txt file in there with mine.

NPC Fasion

NPC Fashion - is a configuration file for MC Command Center. It won't work without MCCC.

Compitable with the latest game patch.

If you are tired of ridiculously dressed NPCs, or you want your newly generated NPCs are being dressed at least not like weirdos and you are using MCCC, than this file is the solution.

This file contains:

1530 unique female outfits total;

1771 unique male outfits total;

341 unique female (elders) outfits total;

653 unique male (elders) outfits total;

133 unique female (child) outfits total;

245 unique male (child) outfits total;

263 unique outfits for infants.

How to install:

simply drop the file from the archive in MCCC folder and confirm replacement if needed.

In game:

Click on a Computer >> [MC Command Center] >> [MC Dresser] >> [Only Use Saved Outfits] :

**You must choose "Enabled" for MC Dresser to clean sims with outfits listed in the CFG file.

Click on a Computer >> [MC Command Center] >> [MC Population] >> [Population Settings] >> [Run Dresser] :

**You must choose "Enabled" for new sims to be generated with clean outfits.

Warning! I have all EPs and DLSs. This means that if you don't have some clothes, which where used in this .cfg file, some outfits may be "broken" (missing bottom or top etc.).

Hello Simmers, come and spend the day at the Grazia Trattoria! This is a family run business which operates as a restaurant, cafe and also includes an art studio upstairs.

Grazia Trattoria is a multilevel property which has been open for generations. It is well known for their rich nectar and panoramic ocean views of Tartosa. Not only is it a family run restaurant, it also has a cafe as well as a bakery which offers traditional coffee and fresh bread for all the locals and tourists. Whether you are here for a day or settling down in Tartosa, be sure to visit the art studio which offers daily art lessons. This property is a one of a kind in Tartosa and you will not be disappointed.

AGAVE APARTMENT - MAXIS-MATCH CC BUILD

I'm finally sharing an apartment! I chose to build in Oasis Springs and opted for the smallest lot available. There are three units in total, but I've only fully decorated one. I designed it with Johnny Zest in mind. Also, I really wanted to use these two new, coolest sets: Neighborly and Cheap&Chipped by @syboubou. I really loved all the items — especially the empty toilet paper roll; it's my new favorite! LOL.

Additionally, due to some glitches in my game following the For Rent patch, I've labeled this build as "Residential" to avoid any potential issues with saving files. This is an entire collection that is interwoven with each other. Hair is repositoried to different ages, genders, defaults, and even hidden toddler hair. It's highly recommended that the collection stay intact and that you have the Ultimate Collection or all EP/SP. Recategorizers do not work with this collection

Not all hair works with each sims' faces and not all sims' faces work with each hair. So keep in mind foreheads, cheeks and ears may poke out. Previews are available at LordCrumps.com

The collection includes add ons that may require the defaults and are flagged as "Store Edition" hair. TS4 hairs range from base game to the most recent Stuff Pack (Home Chef Hustle). More hair may be included as add ons in the future.

I wouldn't convert some hair without their outfit counterparts. Please make sure to remove conflicts. The outfits include:

TOU: Please feel free to use these as a template for your defaults and recolor the hair as you'd prefer for download purposes. I only ask that you do not reupload these original files (breaking down to packs, gender, etc) as they are intertwined and may not work without their exclusive counterparts. Please do not make these hairs as customs for reupload.

This took about... 8 months to complete. I've (re)converted all of these myself to my current expectations of my conversion content. This was play tested thoroughly over the course of that time. If there are any issues, please don't hesitate to send an ask. The file size is massive even compressed, but to be honest it's pretty decent for 500+ hair.

I've been using this preset on my twitch for a bit now, and i've finally gotten around to releasing it!! I'm very happy with it and I currently use it for everything😅

Urban haze has a focus on realistic lighting with a slight hazy and warm feel. Less blue in shadows, darker nights, deeper afternoon shadows, saturated sunsets, balanced greenery. Use it in any world, I've tested them all :)

How to download:

♥ Download Reshade: (I use reshade 5.7.0, I can't say how this preset will behave with other versions of reshade, or G-shade.)

♥ During Reshade Installation, select The Sims 4, choose DirectX9 as the rendering API.

♥ Effect Packages to install: standard effects, sweetFX by CeeJay, qUINT by Marty McFly, color effects by prod80, and Legacy effects.

♥ Download urban haze below, drop it in your Sims 4 installation's "Bin" Folder

♥ Open the Sims 4, Disable edge-smoothing in your graphics settings if it's not already, In the reshade menu, set RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED= to 0 in global preprocessor definitions if it's not, and MXAO_TWO_LAYER= and MXAO_SMOOTHNORMALS= both to 1 in qUINT_mxao's preprocessor's definitions.

♥ If you're struggling with installation, I suggest you check out @kindlespice's installation tutorial! It was made for reshade 4.9.0 but the instructions remain the same.

♥ Both Depth of field shaders are off by default, you can enable them using their shortcuts: ctrl + Q (MagicDOF), ctrl + W (MartyMcFlyDOF) or enable them manually.

♥ MXAO.fx also has a shortcut (ctrl + R) bc sometimes the DOF blur makes the shadows weird, most of the time it's fine!

♥ Could potentially be gameplay friendly, depending on your GPU! The MXAO and DOF shaders will be the most performance heavy, feel free to adjust to your liking.

♥ The pictures above were taken with this preset and no further editing, but I do use a few lighting mods that will affect how my game looks:

Transferring animations between rigs (e.g. adult to child)

The steps below describe how to transfer an animation from an adult rig to a child rig but the method should be applicable for any transfer between human rigs.

However, I haven't tested other constellations. Let me know if you have any other tips, suggestions, corrections or run into any issues.

I posted this little guide in Creator Musings for someone wondering about it but sharing it here as well.

Step 1)

Export the adult sim animation you want to transfer (=your source) to Blender.

Open a blend file with a child rig (=your target).

Append the adult rig with the animation to the child rig in Blender (File > Append > Select the blend file > folder "Object" > select rig and mesh there)

Select the animation from the adult rig for the child rig (select the child rig in the Outliner menu > select the scene tab in the properties panel below > in "S4S AnimationTools" select the adult animation as the "active animation")

This will get the job mostly done, but the animation will be offset and jumping around, as you see below. To correct for that you will need to set up several constraints as described in step 2.

Step 2)

As you see below the height of the ROOT_bind of the adult sim and child sim differ by about a factor of 0,7:

You can check the exact location in Edit mode:

The ROOT_bind of the child rig is located at 0.6920, the ROOT_bind of the adult rig at 1.0112 on the Z axis, which gives a factor of 0.6920/1.0112=0.6843354430379747

With that information you now need to do the following:

In the Dope Sheet menu, select "Action Editor" and press "New Action" there to make a copy of the selected animation for the child rig.

In the Dope Sheet Summary open the ROOT_bind and disable the location channels but keep the rotation channels enabled (the latter matters if the ROOT_bind is also rotated in an animation). The setting should look like this:

In the Transform menu (now in Pose mode) type in -0,6920 on the X axis for ROOT_bind (thus resetting its position to 0 in the animation; can't properly explain why X axis is chosen here instead of Y but it has something to do with how local rotations of a bone are determined according to pancake).

Create a "Copy Location" constraint for ROOT_bind of the child rig targetting it to the ROOT_bind of the adult rig (this is done in the Properties panel > Bone Constraints), set Influence to 0.6843354430379747 (factor calculated above). (Edit/Correction: Previously I recommended to create another "Copy Location" constraint separately for the "Z" axis and to check "Offset" there. However, upon further testing, this doesn't seem to be necessary. Leaving info here just in case.)

You might then also need to add a "Copy Rotation" constraint for ROOT_bind of the child rig targetting it to the ROOT_bind of the default rig (Influence can stay at 1 here).

The animation should now play as expected:

Step 3)

All you need to do now is bake the animation (thus applying all the constraints you set up). Select Pose > Animation > "Bake Action...", then check "Visual Keying" and "Clear Constraints" in the pop up. The animation will now work stand alone and you can delete the adult rig.

Alternatively, if you use Pancakes animation tools, you just need to export the clips, the constraints will be applied automatically.

This file is a core script library that contains all the shared resources needed for my mods that previously had separate script files (does not currently include my old retired careers). To reduce clutter and simplify updates, I’ve consolidated everything into one single script file.

What This Means for You

✅ Only ONE script file needed – If you use multiple mods by me, you no longer need separate .ts4script files for each one. ✅ Delete outdated script files – You can safely remove all my other .ts4script files except for midnitetech_RenameWorlds.ts4script (if you have it). ✅ Lot51’s CoreLibrary is still required – If a mod explicitly states it requires Lot51’s CoreLibrary, you still need to keep that installed.

Installation Instructions

1️⃣ Delete all older .ts4script files (except for midnitetech_RenameWorlds.ts4script). 2️⃣ Place midnitetech_modlibrary.ts4script in your Mods folder (no more than one subfolder deep). 3️⃣ Make sure script mods are enabled in your game settings.

👩‍🎨 Extracting Hidden Face Morphs in The Sims 2

In The Sims 2, Sim faces contain hidden morphs that can be extracted in different ways. For a long time, only two morphs were known, but there are actually more.

1. Extracting Morphs via SimPE

What You Need:

SimPE (enable "Advanced Mode" in the settings).

Sims2Pack Clean Installer (if no ready-made files are available).

MilkShape 3D 1.8.5

Steps:

Get the Face File:

If you have a SavedSims folder, choose any file from it.

If not, extract any Sim using Sims2Pack Clean Installer and locate the Face Preset file.

Open the File in SimPE:

Open the file in SimPE.

Find the Geometric Data Container (GMDC) resource.

Select the Sim's age group.

Export the Model with Morphs:

Click Export..., save the file in SMD format.

When prompted "Do you want to export Morph Meshes??", select Yes.

View Morphs in MilkShape 3D:

Import via File → Import → Half-Life SMD....

Select a morph and uncheck Rename Bones.

What Do the Morphs Contain?

One morph shows a smiling expression.

Another shows an angry or displeased expression.

2. Extracting All Morphs via 5gd File

What You Need:

SimPE.

Blender 2.80+.

GMDC Importer/Exporter (Blender plugin).

Steps:

Export the Face Model as a 5gd File:

In SimPE, open GMDC.

Right-click → Extract....

Save the file as 5gd.

Import into Blender:

Install the GMDC Importer/Exporter plugin.

Open Blender 2.80+ (Blender 2.79 only shows 4 morphs).

Import the 5gd file.

What Do the Morphs Contain?

Importing into Blender 2.80+ reveals all hidden morphs.

You can replace the default face model with one of the morphs to create a new default preset.

It works correctly in BodyShop and CAS.

There may be even more hidden morphs in the game that have yet to be discovered.

INSTRUCTIONS

Please download all the cc mentioned in the attached list.

Please download Tray files folder below. Unzip is and move the files to your Tray folder. (This is extra important as it will not show if you do not unzip!!)

The build will appear in your library once you have the tray files. You will need to place the lot down in the same lot or a similar/bigger sized lot. Ensure to turn on CC and enable bb.moveobjects cheat before placing lot (items may be missing if not)
