Why, out of GF, Amphibia, and TOH, only Luz didn't have to leave her new world behind:

I've seen people complain about Amphibia and to a lesser extent, Gravity Falls, for having their series end with a goodbye; the main characters having to leave their found families and this world they've grown to love and return to regular life. But the thing is, the three shows all have MASSIVELY different morals, that each fit in with how the goodbyes (or lack thereof) work into the finales.

Gravity Falls has a large theme of temporary goodbyes and reconciling. Stan and Ford being the primary example. But there are others: Soos and Melony, Wendy and Robbie, even Dipper and Mabel to an extent. The show builds upon this with Gravity Falls being a VACATION, they aren't trapped there, they could theoretically go home at any time. Episodes such as Summerween and Dipper and Mabel Vs. The Future also build on the tone, telling that it's okay to both grow up and move on, but you don't have to leave behind what you once loved in doing so.

The final conflicts (Wierdmaggedon) are caused because of characters not being able to let go. Stan couldn't let go of Ford, Mabel couldn't let go of Gravity Falls, Gideon couldn't let go of Mabel.

Gravity Falls teaches the viewer that even if you love something, you have to let it go, and eventually it will return. In the words of Bill Cipher: "We'l meet again. Don't know where, don't know when. I just knew we'll meet again, some sunny day."

Amphibia has a similar theme of Gravity Falls, but it takes it further. Amphibia tells you that if you don't let go, sometimes things will only get worse. The primary example for this is the show's catalyst event: Marcy getting Anne to steal the Music Box. Marcy chose to go to Amphibia, rather than move away, and she dragged her friends into it with her. Instead of having a long distance friendship with Sasha and Anne, she took them to an alternate dimension in order to spend eternity on a massive adventure, and it got her killed. Marcy and Anne died and Sasha tried to kill herself.

And that's only Marcy. Sasha was a control freak that bordered on yandere at the height of her villain arc. Sasha couldn't accept that Anne was beginning to move on from the toxic friendship that the Calamity Trio had locked themselves into.

The trio were horrible to eachother, pre-character arcs, and they needed to focus on self improvement before they could even hope to be good friends. In the time between 'All In' and the epilog, the Calamity Trio would not have actually been able to be good for eachtoher. They say they forgive eachother, but that was forgiveness given during a WAR. Post show, the real feelings would start to bubble up. Anne's resentment for the betrayals, Marcy’s abandonment issues, Sasha's definite self hatred. The trio HAD to split up to have any semblance of a friendship.

Amphibia tells its audience that not all good things can last, and if you obsess and force it to stay, it can destroy you.

The Owl House has a completely opposite moral. It tells you to find your people, and fight for them.

Luz lived in the Human Realm, but it was never her home. Her home was with Camila and Manny, but when Manny died, Camila and Luz's relationship began to falter. That world wasn't her home. When Luz found the Boiling Isles, she was always supposed to be able to leave. This wasn't a summer trip she didn't want at first, or a one way portal. The Boiling Isles was HER choice.

Luz picked Bonesburrow. Luz picked Hexside. Luz picked The Owl House. Her home was always meant to be The Boiling Isles. She only started trying to find a way back to Earth because the choice was taken from her. Luz no longer had the choice to go back to the Human Realm. In fact, the only time Luz chose Humans over Isles was when she was PUNISHING herself for helping Belos.

Luz got to stay in the Boiling Isles because TOH tells its audience that where you start isn't where you should always stay. Find your place and find your people. And when you do, hold it dear and never let go. "Us weirdos have to stick together."

Soooo, I've been getting into Otome games lately...I've played phone games for years now (ohhh, do I need to include those romances on here too...LOL) but a few years ago I started picking up games on The Switch and Steam, and my organization brain said "Make a chart of what routes you like and don't like"...so here we are! (And, no, I will not apologize for my taste in men)

Tier 1 has been updated to the guys grouped by game (Fave to least fave) because I was having trouble deciding between them all who I like more than others 😅

Tier 1

Yang (Piofiore series) - My all time fave boy! He's complete trash and unapologetic about it but he's just....so up front with you and wants you to be a stronger person and fight for life! I think I've replayed his routes (Fated Memories and 1926) like 4 time over now? XD (Should I mention that his voice is....the best 🥵)

Henri (Piofiore series) - Another trash boy...but he's...soft? His routes get me emotional...I'm not sure what to really say without super spoilers about the game, but he's a major trauma baby and it shows! (And please don't get me started on his bad end from 1926 😅)

Tryil (even if TEMPEST series) - My precious baby boy! Look, I love me a confident asshole and he fits the bill. His first ending....let me say I was not prepared! I hated that he did that to himself *sobs* Also...look, don't get me started on his tragic end 😅 But the second game! Oooof, all the shit with Conrad and that ending soooo made up for everything XD Ugh, PERFECTION! I've already played his routes multiple times 😂 Also all the little side stories for him they added to the first game! Gah! I could go on and on about this guy...

Crius (even if TEMPEST series) - His first game route, honestly had me tearing me up. It was good shit and I really enjoyed it. I really loved his tragic end, too. Annnnd then there's his second game route....where he just keeps making out with MC every chance he gets XD Loved it, here for it! And, again, all the added DLC content for the first game!

Zenn (even if TEMPEST series) - I really thought he was gonna be my fave or at least second fave...and nope... I really loved his character, just I feel like something was missing from his routes. Like they got cut short or something? IDK. His CGs in the first game were kinda meh, even though I did love the story with him helping MC *sobs* And the second game/fandisc I loved him having to deal with Rune and Ish XD And he and MC having to stand up to "god" it was good times and Zenn having to deal with his guilt, but something just didn't fully click with me. Thennnn there's the DLC content that was mostly super spicy and just so much domestic fluff for him 😭

Lucien (even if TEMPEST series) - I was wholly expecting not to like this guy! I usually don't like the childhood friend/cowardly character, but he was written soooo well! He admitted to his faults and his struggles and he cried and got to be the damsel in distress to MCs knight XD 10/10. I wasn't exactly happy with the ending of his second game (where MC went to meet his father....and that shit happened...) but I would replay his route again despite that.

Ignis (Cafe Enchante) - So, yeah, I replayed his route and HOLY SHIT, I just wanna replay it again XD It was really hard not romancing him all over just so I could finally finish the game... I really love his whole story and what he and MC both have to go through. UGH, so good! Trauma baby but not realizing it halfway through his route. The drama! The angst! The *edited out for major spoilers part* 😭

Il (Cafe Enchante) - Alright, I really wasn't expecting to like his route...I usually don't go for his type (plus he was too much like me with the Otome Games) but OMG, I really loved his route! Sooooo soooo much XD I also really liked Solitus and Epilogi (side characters in his route). Was also surprised by how good just the overall story was for him, honestly.

Shu (Bustafellows) - Ohhhhh boy! I'm so glad I saved him for last because it was Sooooo worth it! Hitman/Merc that smokes and is a bully to MC. His first CG of the romance route is him with glowy eyes and covered in blood...Woooo. (Doesn't hurt that we also get him snuggling and slightly pouting with a cat, too...) Loved his story and can't wait for the second game to see if we learn more about his family! I need more Yang content in my life! XD

Limbo (Bustafellows) - I figured I would like him, going into the game, and did not disappoint! I love how upbeat he is and silly he and his sister are. It was good to see some well-down sibling interactions! Could do without one of his bad endings, though...😅

Helsing (Code: Realize series) - I really wasn't sure if I was going to like him or not, honestly. But surprise, surprise he was my most fave out of the game! The drama! The slow burn of it (which I'm usually not a fan of) was done sooooo well. I do feel like his ending for the first game could have done better? But, eh. It was also so nice to change from the first game to the second and third game (even if he doesn't end up in a romance with Cardia!). And let's not get started on him and Delly 😭

Impey (Code: Realize series) - Of course I fell in love with him immediately! XD He was kind of annoying and pushy, but he was also just so soft and he can cook!!!! He's also a vampire...(though in this universe they're just a sub-species of humans? So no drinking blood or affected by sunlight). I also really liked the little bonus story where he finally got to be "friends" with Sisi (the dog he rescued and didn't like him throughout the entire game). Let me add to this, his second game story was just 🥵The sexual tension and spiciness of it was appreciated! (Especially after the first game Cardia seemed kind of wishy-washy about Impey's affection and being with him compared to all the other guys)

Saint Germain (Code: Realize series) - What to say about this guy...Ooooof. His first game route was really good (almost made me cry). The drama, and...just the whole beginning of his route...I suspected but was not prepared for that! I also really liked how clingy and needy (but refusing to voice it) he was.

Frankenstein (Code: Realize series) - Another in this game that I wasn't sure if I was going to like or not, but he was so damn soft! Ugh. I really liked his overall story (and despite him being a cowardly character). I do feel like his first game story could have been better? But not exactly sure how... haha.

Kent (Amnesia series) - Fave boy from this game. Went from asshole to soft boy so fast! But it was...well done, imo XD I honestly wasn't sure, going into this game, that I would even like him that much...but here we are. I did love his first game ending and the epilogue we got. So cute! I could go on and on with all the content we got in the two fandiscs, but ugh, it was all so good!

Ukyo (Amnesia series) - Ohhhhh boy! I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about this guy...but...uhhh even though his route started super slow, HOLY SHIT! That ending...*nervous laugh* I love me a good psycho character and it was truly well done, imo. Loved it, would play again. Played his Later route: Ohhhhh boy! I didn't think they could make him more perfect, but I loved what they did with his split personality and that he's just there to stay when he gets sleepy now and they all just living your best life XD To add too, the Crowd fandisc was so damn good for his route! Loved getting to see more of dark Ukyo and MCs relationship!

Shin (Amnesia series) - I thought he was gonna be my top fave for this game and he was close but Kent beat him out... So here's my confident asshole of the game and I did love him and his story, and while there was a lot of kissing and teasing, I feel like the romance took a back seat to his overall story. Though I did like the final outcome of it. I'm looking forward to playing the fandisc to see what other content we get. Ooof, playing the fandisc, I hated his Later story, but his Crowd story was better...but he still fell in the rankings.

Noritsune (Birushana) - Enemies/Rivals to lovers: YES PLEASE! Also bi-coded is always a plus! Also, also, mutual wound tending! What didn't this route have?? LOL. But seriously, even though his route was on the slow side, there was soooo much I loved about it. Them constantly saving the other, he thought MC was a guy up until half-through...a little longer? (until he could actually prove MC wasn't). The fact that he actually admitted to loving MC before he even knew, too! *sobs* UGH, just sooo good!

Shigehira (Birushana) - Look....I have a type....it's a thing! Honestly, though, I am really intrigued on how his romance will play out with his brother already after you?!! Are they gonna have to run away/leave Japan or kill Tomomori?? Will it turn into a threesome like it did in Benkei's route?! I NEED to know! I need a full route with him! Ugh!

Tsugunobu (Birushana) - I need a full route for this boy too! LOL. I really loved him and that he was sweet but also kind of a bit of a bully....

Yoritomo (Birushana) - Oh gosh! I went in thinking he was gonna be one of my top faves...and wasn't completely wrong XD I love the whole "siblings but not really" trope.... and while I was a disappointed that the whole truth was never revealed *side eye* when in Shugen's route this bitch knew almost immediately.... Especially with how touchy-feely Yoritomo was being during most of the route and I kept waiting for the whole "you're really a woman and not my actual sibling" to drop....I mean, I guess it made for a good dramatic storyline, but COME ON...! Still, though, I really loved his route and him wanting to keep you close *sobs* also that tragic end 👌👌

Tokiwa (Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya) - This was honestly (even though it was a super soft and slow burn route) my fave out of the entire game XD I really liked that in the end he just wanted to open his own shop in the Red Light District so he could continue to go there after everything *sobs* so pure! Really just wish the translation and story telling was better....

Hayabusa (Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya) - Again, a surprise route because I usually don't like the "best friend" angle but this was really cute! And, again, sucked that the story was not written well...but I also wonder if he was an add on? Because he had so little CGs and his story felt really rushed compared to the other guys...

Tier 2

Rindo (Cafe Enchante) - Went back and replayed...and honestly, it wasn't as bad I was thinking it was? I really do love his character and story (just was not a fan of having to turn him into a nonhuman...but even that wasn't as horrible as I thought). It was a cute route overall.

Helvetica (Bustafellows) - Again, wasn't really expecting to like him as much as I did. Not my usual type, but I did like his romance and story (and he actually had one of the best bad ends). He was a flirty bully to MC and I really enjoyed the tension in the epilogue where Teuta saw him with other women and "didn't want to be that girlfriend" but also that she couldn't ignore the fact, either! It was a good wrap up to their relationship instead of just ignoring the fact that Helvetica is still flirty with other women.

Lupin (Code: Realize series) - Was torn between which tier to put him in...and I really did like his character and story...I just don't know how often I would replay his routes 😅 I'd probably replay his Future Blessings story the most out of all of them.

Orlok (Piofiore series) - Okay, look, the fact that he's a chaste romance and still ranks this high on my list....says a lot (by my standards. LOL). Seriously, though, it might be because I relate to him a lot. My friend played his route and it was a lot of me going "I'm in this picture and I don't like it" XD He's a sweet little baby and I just want to protect him.

Holmes/Sholmes (Code: Realize series) - I did like that he was an added route in the Future Blessings game, and I really did like it, but, just like Lupin's IDK how much I would actually replay it.

Tadanobu (Birushana) - And I thought he was gonna be fave side romance! LOL. Welllll, he was super sweet and I really did like him...but the whole thing after he found out MC was a woman...and that he kind of wanted for her to stop fighting/protect her? (Sorry if I'm remembering that wrong...but that's why I think I downgraded to this tier). Even though in the end, he was still "I'll go where ever you go.

Nicola (Piofiore series) - Going into the game and his route...I honestly thought he was gonna be generic romance and was happily surprised to find myself actually liking him. (Plus don't get me started on his first game tragic route... hahaha) I think if Henri hadn't been a romance in the game Nicola would have ranked higher...but alas, Henri was a better romance for me.

Takatsuna (Birushana) - I wasn't sure if I was gonna like him or not but he turned out to be so super sweet! I wouldn't mind having a full romance with him, honestly. But, again, I think once he found MC was a woman then he wanted to spoil and kinda protect her more?

Crow (Bustafellows) - Oh geez. Look, I was so disappointed when I got his route for my first playthrough with no cheats...I really don't like these types of guys, plus his hair and clothes are just...ehhhh. But seeing him in the other routes, I totally get why I got him, and honestly, his romance wasn't bad! It actually kept me engaged (though his bad end was kinda out of nowhere for me). I'm surprised he ranked as high he as he did, honestly.

Benkei (Birushana) - I really went in thinking he might be my fave...on screen he's perfect (red hair, face scar, big lovable oaf) but his story was just kinda....meh. I didn't by any means hate him or the story, but I will say....that I really liked one of his random bad ends 😅😅 It just that he found out about MC's secret right out the gate and so of course he felt the need to protect her and keep her safe...and it took more than halfway through the route for her to be "STOP IT"

Iroha (Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya) - Another that I wasn't quite sure how to rank...but he ended up here because I did like the twist in his story and overall attitude. I could have done without all the fucking drama one after the other...And his second story was kind of meh, but I would probably replay his first route.

Takao (Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya) - OMFG!!! Like WTH even was this route??? XD I'm still torn on if I would actually replay it, but look, I was not expecting that maybe-incest plot! The story overall wasn't bad and was actually kind of cute which is why he made the "might replay", honestly.

Tier 3

Mozu (Bustafellows) - Disappointed! I was so excited to play his route because he was the animal lover and logical brain...and just...his whole route was about death and grief. I do still love his character, and his epilogue helped explained things...but like why wasn't it at least mentioned in his main route???? Ughhhh. Just...and the fact that 99% of his CGs from his romance route involved death or crying....just a let down and still don't understand why the creators went that hard and couldn't give some more fluffy CGs. Let me say, replaying it wasn't as bad (so moving him up to this tier...but still....)And OF COURSE I LOVE his tragic end XD

Tomomori (Birushana) - OH BOY! Let me tell you about this bitch...I LOVED LOVED LOVED him in all the other routes! By far! Unhinged murder man at his best! And then....his romance route comes around and it WAS SO GOOD at the start...and then....he just does a complete 180 when he "falls in love" and just wants to lavish affection and protect her.....😡😡😡 NO, game devs! HE CAN WANT BOTH!!!! Let my villain be unhinged and a dick! There was no need for that bullshit "twist"! Ugh! So fucking disappointed. But then...there's his bad ends....which were honestly so perfect! Loved them!

Misyr Rex (Cafe Enchante) - The romance just fell flat for me. I did like his character, and the story and side characters were all soooo good, but there's just something about the overall romance that I just didn't care for. It wasn't bad...but it wasn't good either...hence why I started this new category XD A secret third thing that I'm not sure if I would replay or not and while there were very good things, there also things I just did not care for.

Toma (Amnesia series) - Soooo, you would think he be exactly my type, but NOPE. My problem with him, being "he was doing it for your own good in the end" FUCK THAT! He drugged MC and kept her in a fucking dog cage!!!! That is not alright! And ya know what, I didn't even have a problem with that in the end...it's the way MC was all "no, it was okay and I forgive you because you were protecting me"!!!! WHAT???? GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE! The fact that MC was just so chill about it and he was the one that was freaking out and kept having to ask if it was all really okay! Hence he ended up in this secret third thing. Would I replay his route? IDK...for certain parts, or maybe I'll just go back and look at certain CGs XD I don't think a character/story has got me this riled up since Dante (Piofiore) and yet...it's still not as horrible as all that. Update to add after playing through CrowdxLater fandisc, I actually kind of like him a little better. Not enough to really move him in the rankings, but it was nice to see Shin get to punch Toma and call them both out for being in a toxic ass relationship. And Toma finally talked MC into locking him in the dog cage 🤣

Ikkyu (Amnesia series) - Ugh, so he's kinda the opposite from Toma. I didn't like his character. The whole fanclub/bullying thing...Like him stepping back and not paying attention to MC so she would be "safer" and yet she wasn't, was she???? Just fucking stand up to them and put your fucking foot down! Annoying as hell. He may end in the Nope row...but for now I still wouldn't mind replaying his route (for whatever fucking reason) and still not as bad as Dante. To add: Played his Later route and what a fucking turn around! I really loved his route (probably one of my top faves!)

Canus (Cafe Enchante) - Wasn't a big fan of his romance, but I would def replay his route for the side characters XD Again, the overall story wasn't bad, I just didn't care for the romance that just never seemed to actually be there, imo. And then he married you in the epilogue??? Like, WTF??? MC clicked so much more with all the other boys and yet none of them proposed marriage...It was just kinda weird and felt kinda cheap.

Kagura (Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya) - His route was cute and I did like his character and overall story, but there was just something meh about his route...again, could just be the horrible translation and story telling of the game...

Tier 4

Gilbert (Piofiore series) - Again, should be exactly my type! The eyepatch swoons The Charmer Swoons But between Yang and Henri and even Orlok...Gilbert's route just fell flat/ did nothing for me. I do remember liking some of it, but it just didn't hit the way I wanted it to.

Tier 5

Shungen (Birushana) - Looook, I himmed and hawwed over how to rate him because while I fucking hated most of his route and it frustrated to me no end, I still don't feel like it was as bad as Dante XD But this BITCH, THIS BITCH! UGH. That he just wanted to keep you out of having to fight (I get it, that's what she said she really wanted was a peaceful life), but when she was like "naw, I gotta do this for the greater good" and he was still like "but, but, but, I wanna keep you away from it. Let me be the one with the horrible destiny" NOOOOO. If you really wanna go the "peaceful" route then neither of you should be doing that! UGH. But, yes, then of course you find out that he really was the true heir all along (fucking knew it! This bitch looked too much like Yoritomo! XD) and all the other horrible shit that happens....and MC pretty much getting imprisoned by the emperor and Shungen just drops in with his horrible fucking plan that was I waiting, WAITING, for MC to step up and either throat punch him or straight up turn him down and instead she was all "okay, I'll go with you no matter what" FUCK THAT! SO PISSED! UGH. But....I guess in the end it wasn't all bad because they both got severely injuried all for their stupid ass plan and had to run away because they're now traitors...UGH. Undertale Fanfic, Monster-on-the-Surface, True Pacifist Ending, PTA AU, SansxToriel in the Background, everybody is here, mostly happy, silly and only a small dose of angst from time to time. Later chapters with more story.

2. TrioBlasterSets AU - Six puppys and 3 flames                 

270813 word, 758 Kudos. I write this AU together with @namekian-maoh . Still ongoing. Undertale Baby-Blaster AU with some Underfell and Underswap thrown into it. Dadby, Badster, mostly family fluff and dealing with the experiment!gaster-blaster Background of 3 skeleton children. Also 3 flames who take care of them that have way more drama going on themselves than nessessary. Chapters are not in chronological order. Has a few Spin-offs too (including some NSFW oneshorts about the flames and their relationship ;) )

3. So I won't regret another day

Undertale Underfell AU, Underfell Sansby with some healthy relationships, the planning of a revolt against an insane king, monster still being monster and not really made for violence in an violent setting. If officially finished but I write new chapters when the fancy strikes me.

4. Grillby's                 

9894 words, 265 Kudos. Deltarune/Undertale fanfic with a Spin, named Plushyrune (aka Deltarune where eveything is the same, just with Sansby and Sans makes plushies). Started as just pure silly fluff, kinda got a plot now about the kids of Deltarune. Still ongoing, new chapter is 80% done ;)

5. Something old, something new... 

6579 words, 208 Kudos. Pure Post-Pacifist Surface Sansby fluff. Mostly from Grillby’s POV how they fall in love and be silly and in love. Still ongoing, haven’t really had to mojo to write more for it lately, but I WILL return at some point.

I try to! I used to not comment on comments because I had this irrational feeling of “cheating the numbers” if I reply to comments but... screw that, I want to interact with people! So I try to answer any and all comments now :)

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Ufff, for me it’s a tie between The last chip  and Laughter in the Darkness. The Last Chip is a Yu-gi-Oh! Fanfic in a series of Kaiba spiraling downwards after the Manga/Anime ended and sets up the events of Dark Site of Dimensions. It ends pretty much with Kaiba ending up getting borderline suicidal in his Obsession with the Pharaoh.

Laughter in the Darkness is the Epilog I wrote for my Gravity Falls x Amnesia Crossover where Ford is pretty much an Amnesia-Protagonist and archives the very worst ending for himself. Mind the tags if you read this. It ends with Ford at the lowest possible point for himself and its open ended if he is going fully insane or if Bill Chiper really is still around. (and it’s not clear what outcome is the better one)

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Nah, not really. I am a chill writer in my own little corners of the fandom and most people leave me alone. I did get one “But Queer is a SLUR” comment way back in the day where it was still all “????” to say that out loud. But otherwise? Nah. I am not important enough for hate, lol.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

I have XD Not much thou. I wrote so far an mastubation scene with the one going down on himself heavily NOT BEING ALRIGHT while doing so XD Other than that I have 2 NSFW Undertale fics with some hot flame-on-flame action. I do like writing not-standard-sex (as in Sex that doesn’t requite human genitila) Otherwise I like to hint or describe feelings more than the act itself. More lime than lemon ;)

Not that I know of. As I said, I am not important enough for that.

I had some ppl asking for permission to translate (which of course) but as far as I know there are no translations out there as of yet.

I am the Queen of Worldbuilding and Crossovers baby!

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Only do it if you have a REALLY good reason for it AND if you have a good gasp on the language. Like, nothing takes me out of a fic faster than reading stuff in horrible German written by people who were to lazy to just copy/paste the word from google translate (my time in the Apollo Justice fandom has seriously scared me. It’s Fräulein, not Fraulein or Fraülein! Also you can’t just swap ei and ie around THOSE ARE DIFFERENT SOUNDS! als we have the letter ß it’s a shap s sound you can’t just use/not use it as you please!)

Also in 90% of all cases it’s just not nessessary. Write what you wanna write, TELL us it was said in a different language OR let the POV character just tell us their hear something said in an other language they couldn’t understand.

What I want to say is: Have some respect of the language you want to use!

I THINK it was Harry Potter? IDK I wrote a cringy Star Trek Parodie when I was like 14 or so and those OCs went through a lot from that time on forward but Idk if that even counts XD

The Game of Our Life It’s a series of Mario x Homestuck Fics I wrote before Undertale came along and swept me away XD I love all my fics of course but this one was the first really big one I finished on english and it was the one I am most proud of of the world-building. It has angst, it has lore, my writing style was just really developing there and I am just proud of it. (Also it’s very self-indulging so yeah XD love it a LOT)

On top of that he has started a new job, has a second murderous Argent to take care of and has an unknown daughter to protect. A daughter his alpha stole from him.

Time travel have many consequences and it seems like Peter is the one who has to deal with that. Because god help him, he will not end up like the broken excuse for a werewolf who had gone back in time to save them.

Bis auf den leicht überflüssigen Epilog habe ich ausschließlich Lob für Angie Thomas’ Zweitwerk übrig. Deshalb fasse ich heute lieber die Themenbereiche zusammen, denen sie sich in On The Come Up mit viel Sensibilität und Können widmet:

Rap Mit der Musikrichtung habe ich eigentlich gar nichts am Hut und sie war auch der Grund, warum ich dem Roman etwas skeptisch gegenüberstand. War im Endeffekt gar nicht nötig, denn Bris reale Vorbilder werden zwar hier und da erwähnt, nehmen aber nicht viel Raum ein. Viel wichtiger sind ihre eigenen Texte. Diese haben es in sich, weil Bri in ihnen mit cleveren Reimen und sarkastischem Unterton all ihre Erlebnisse verarbeitet. In diesem Zusammenhang kann ich wärmstens das englische Hörbuch empfehlen, in dem Bahni Turpin auch die Rapparts exzellent vorträgt.

Armut Bri und ihre Familie müssen stets die letzten Münzen zusammenkratzen, um wenigstens die nächste Mahlzeit zu finanzieren. Die Schilderung dieses Problems wirkt durchweg authentisch, denn die Sorge um Essen, Elektrizität und Heizungswärme durchdringt Bris ganzes Denken. Ihre Mutter und ihr großer Bruder versuchen sie zwar von diesen Sorgen abzuschirmen, doch das führt nur dazu, dass Bri sich nicht ernst genommen fühlt. Von dem Schamgefühl darüber, Spenden von der Wohlfahrt zu erhalten bis zu dem Gewissenskonflikt zwischen Geld und Integrität wird eine breite Gefühlspalette abgedeckt.

Familie Zum Glück hat Bri ein stabiles Netz aus Kindheitsfreunden und Familienmitgliedern. Mindestens eine.r hat immer ein Auge auf sie, stärkt ihr den Rücken oder rückt ihr den Kopf wieder in die passende Richtung, wenn sie über die Stränge schlägt. Am meisten haben mich die Gespräche mit ihrer Mutter berührt, denn über dieser Beziehung hängt ständig der Schatten einer  Drogenvergangenheit und Bris Angst vor einem Rückfall ihrer Mutter. Dennoch begegnet Jay ihrer Tochter stets mit Aufmerksamkeit, Verständnis und manchmal auch der nötigen Strenge.

Ungerechtigkeit Es gibt viel Szenen, in denen Bri unfair behandelt wird und alle haben mir lodernde Wut in die Adern getrieben. In der Schule wird sie bei der Eingangskontrolle aufgrund ihrer Hautfarbe gesondert behandelt und hat kaum Möglichkeiten, sich dagegen zu wehren. Selbst Personen aus dem Musikbusiness, die ihr eigentlich Unterstützung versprechen, können sich oft nicht aus ihren sexistischen und kapitalistischen Mustern lösen. Das Schlimmste daran ist wie realistisch solche Szenen wohl sind und ich kann Angie Thomas nur dafür applaudieren, wie gekonnt sie diese Momente einfängt und die dazugehörigen Emotionen anfacht.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a young adult coming-of-age epistolary novel by American writer Stephen Chbosky. The Movie follows Charlie, an introverted observing teenager, through his freshman year of high school in a Pittsburgh suburb. This explains the details Charlie's unconventional style of thinking as he navigates between the worlds of adolescence and adulthood, and attempts to deal with poignant questions spurred by his interactions with both his friends and family.

And this makes me remember how I changed when I met my friends, they changed my life. Even though they know how awkward I am socially but the still embraced about who I am.

Anders als es der deutsche Titel suggeriert, handelt es sich um keine direkte Fortsetzung von “Mein Name ist Nobody“ aus dem Jahr 1973. ▪️ Inhalt: Nobody ist ein Genie: schlagfertig, gerissen und treffsicher. Sein bester Freund, mit dem er sich allerdings ständig in den Haaren liegt, heißt `Lokomotive'. Lokomotive ist Indianer. Vereint sind Nobody und Lokomotive ein durchschlagendes Erfolgsgespann. Diesmal haben sie sich vorgenommen, den betrügerischen Fortkommandanten Major Cabot zur Strecke zu bringen. Im Vergleich zum zwei Jahre zuvor erschienenen “Vorgänger“ fällt der Film leider ab. Es wird eine episodenartige Geschichte erzählt, die nur lose zusammenhängt. Die stilistischen Parallelen sind definitiv erkennbar - man versuchte auf dem Erfolg des Erstlings aufzubauen. Rein optisch ist dies zwar gelungen, aber die verworrene Story kann da leider nicht so überzeugen. Die Musik von Ennio Morricone ist gelungen und Terence Hill überzeugt auf ganzer Linie. Der Film ist zwar kurzweilig, aber leider nicht so gut wie Teil 1.
