Okay so...Laika is vidas dog, and I noticed Laika wears a galaxy-themed bandana around her neck, I'm wondering if this is a reference to the space dog Laika? If it is that is so adorable 😭😭 this honestly popped in my head and I can't get it out now-

It's very subtle but I meant it as a way to show Vida's fascination with space. I never answered what their major was, but I think they would've gone on to study astronomy.

Also their frisbee was based off this image from the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA) telescope. I just thought it was a neat pattern and slapped it on. Plus,,,, ALMA.

Fanfic prompt: I thought about it and Hyrule's curse only ever mentioned the blood of a hero so could ganon be revived by any hero

The monster grab the youngest one who is like the one who doesn’t have hero blood but everyone is freaking out because they can’t stop the ritual from happening

And Wind's hands are already cut and they just stand there and watch in fear especially Hyrule is freaking out about it

And when the blood falls onto the ashes the ashes start to come together

But only for a second before ganon literally falls apart and liquifies

And that convinced the monster that the blood can’t bring him back anymore because he was revived for exactly four seconds before dying again

Wind always hated how he was the only one without the hero spirit but that butchered ritual would have had consequences if he had it

And form that moment he was fine with it because they would have been in deep trouble if anyone else was used for it

Also because he has no hero spirit he is the only one who can simply stay at home and do nothing because hylians can’t ask him for his hero lives extended warranty if he has nothing to contact him

But he stayed with the chain anyway

Like Wind is probably the most powerful link because he is not really a link and hylia can only ask him very nicely if he would join the group while everyone else is dragged into the mess without any consent

Like hylia probably would be forced to be extra polite to him because he can simply leave

He is a worker who has to be treated nicely while the others are slaves with no choice but to do what hylia says

Like not having a hero spirit is probably better than having it

thinking about scribz’s psmd “future trio helps the schoolkids in the voidlands” art and how i sorta had the same idea (albeit inspired by a much older post) but like. kinda giggling to myself abt the sheer difference in tone going on bc scribz’s is definitely more on the lighthearted side (as lighthearted as the voidlands arc can be, at least)and then theres mine which. uh. kills the lizard and the other two are grieving while trying to care for these kids they dont know

Can we talk about how the most recognisable gay couples in media are written by women? Can we talk about how queer men can't even write about ourselves, how we are only allowed to exist when it's from the point of view of a straight woman sexualising us?

Can we talk about that? Or am I going to get called misogynistic for pointing out the disparity between who gets the writing deals, & who gets their books turned into movies, & whose shit gets popular versus whose doesn't? Can we talk about how m/m fiction is only allowed when it appeals to a cishet gaze, or is that too much for tumblr to take?

Can we also talk about how trans queer men are even more hated by publishing? Can we talk about how we get shit from both sides? Can we talk about how books about the experiences of being a queer man, written by queer men, never get the same recognition as books written by women on this subject (barring academia which has its own problems)?

TW:BLOOD, BODY HORROR

Ough, the height extension did not do my boy Sunni any favors. Who knew possession could be so painful?/silly

This is one of my newer SMG4 OCS, Sunflower Guy, aka Sunni. Damn, and this is how I introduce them? Sorry, my guy; I'll introduce ya properly sometime (that doesn't end up with them possessed. Maybe…)

Anyway, throwing my entry in the ring for @grinnames 200+ follower event. Congrats, man, you deserve it!! Not only did I draw PossessedGB4!Sunni, I also wrote about how it happened. I'm slightly rusty at writing, but I hope you like it. Now, ONTO THE STORY!!!

AID GONE WRONG 

Summary: Attempting to help a friend in need goes very wrong for Sunflower Guy.

The sun was setting as another day ended at Luigi's flower shop. Inside, a lone Shy Guy was putting away supplies, quickly dashing to and fro around the shop as they did.

'Pesticides go here; fertilizers go here, make sure its actually fertilizer and not gunpowder; don’t wanna deal with that again; heliotrope seeds go here-'

Their thoughts are soon interrupted as the bell dings, signaling a customer’s arrival. Sunni’s head turns towards the door, finding, to their confusion, no customer.

Weird.

Sunni cocks their head briefly before shaking their head and picking up a flowerpot, resuming their duties. They barely take a step toward the back before the bell rings again. Their head whips toward the door, a wave of irritation washing through them as, again, no sign of a customer.

Sunni sighs, gently placing the flowerpot on the counter, then quickly walking outside and pacing around the storefront a few times.

Empty.

Sunni grumbles under their breath and is about to turn on his heel and head back inside when he hears rustling from behind the building. The Shy Guy freezes up as the rustling continues briefly before stopping entirely.

Sunni’s mind runs rampant with different scenarios, ranging from something as innocent as a wild animal snuffling through the trash to more violent and scary thoughts.

The sound of a groan snaps them out of their thoughts. Their feet move before they realize it, and as they turn the corner, their eyes land on a familiar blue hat among a pile of discarded boxes.

Sunni makes a surprised sound as they dash toward SMG4. A surge of worry and concern overtakes them as they quickly reach him, grabbing his hand as they try to pull him out of the pile.

As soon as they make contact with SMG4’s hand, a wave of fear and anxiety washes over them, keeping their legs stuck and preventing them from running. SMG4 slowly stands up, towering (far taller than he should've) over the Shy Guy, his lips pulling back in a dark smile as he keeps his grip on them.

All too late, Sunni comes to a horrific realization.

‘This isn’t SMG4. This… this is…’

Short panicked breaths leave Sunni as they try to pull away, the attempt useless as SMG4’s hand begins to dematerialize, his entire body dissolving into wisps of red and black as they enter the Shy Guy’s body.

'A monster."

White hot pain envelops their body all too quickly as they begin to scream, collapsing to the ground as they writhe in pain, the horrible sensation quickly becoming too much for the Shy Guy to handle.

As Sunni's vision dims, the last thing they hear before the darkness swallows them whole is an unfamiliar voice.

“A Shy Guy? What an interesting addition to my collection.”

"Dude? A Shy Guy, really? Couldn't you possess something better? Something more, I don’t know…destructive?" SMG3 asked, a hand on his hip as he looks down from the shop’s roof in disinterest.

Cracking bones and the tearing of fabric and flesh were all that answered SMG3's questions as his partner adjusted the vessel as he saw fit. Red rings form around the vessel's arms, legs, and neck. Only once his partner's tanuki ears and tail pop out in a surge of blood does SMG4 look at SMG3, a single yellow eye peering up through one of the eyeholes of the now bloody mask.

“What, you don’t like it? I thought it was cute.” SMG4’s voice rasps before falling into a coughing fit, blood dripping from the mask’s mouthpiece as he gets used to his new vessel and its limitations.

SMG3 just sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose as he shakes his head.

This fucking dude.

Yes, that says ‘Journal 4’. All I’m imagining is Schembulock (how do you spell his name???) sneaking onto the Stan’O War just to find the book and make every gravity falls theorist cry (from either denial that the series will have a season 3, or frustration because why.). when they see it in Lost Legends

Another thing: USING REFERENCES IS NOT CHEATING! Use ‘em and remember to credit. Trust me when I say you DO NOT know what a rhino looks like from the top of your head so google it! Don’t know what a person reading a book looks like? Google it! Use reference!s Don’t go with the bullcrap that references is cheating! Just. Credit.

I was having trouble thinking of a good pose for Ford so I looked through Pinterest and boom, found a good one and referenced it, I did NOT trace it. Inspiration from others is okay too as long as you credit and not take too much from one design, add your own flair. Mix em like they’re in a blender

You’ll get muscle memory as time goes on and you might not even need a reference for specific things in the future but that requires lots of practice so practice now!
