Horizon Fan Game Released!

In celebration of the release of the Horizon fan game/visual novel @focusontheheart today, I was moved to attempt this Hades-ish style portrait of my favorite Horizon character.

I was doubly honored to be asked to do an illustration for the Kotallo narrative (not the above, you’ll have to play to see it! It’s the wet one. I can’t say more.)

A lot of excellent and dedicated fans worked hard on this game and I can’t wait to play it myself this weekend. Check out @focusontheheart to download it for FREE from itch.io.

(Yes I made his hair too long but I claim dramatic effect. This is also why he is tits out. Expand for better detail etc. etc.)

THE SMOOCH

This is the final CG @silketara and I worked on for @focusontheheart's Seyka route. I did the line art and background while Silke did an absolute stellar job on the character colors and effects. I remember nearly fainting when she returned the file to me.

Finally I can show my CG art for @focusontheheart's Kotallo's route.

It was a nice challenge for me to draw the Sunwing and the background, and looking at it until now I'm really happy with the result.

At that time when I was asked to do it, I just found my current job and it was hard to find a time to complete it. But I'm glad I could have a part in this project.

me too, Aloy. me too. begging everyone who loves Horizon and who wishes the games had a little bit of romance to check out @focusontheheart ! Been waiting to play it for months and it is so well made and definitely shows all the love and effort that was put in by all involved. big thank you to all the developers, writers, artists, and everyone else involved! I can't wait to play all the routes.

Oh hey y'all! The Spoiler embargo is finished and I can share what I made for @focusontheheart <3.

Firstly, my CG for my beloved Kotallo route (as well as all the sprites) showing my precious Blorbos going through their bonding swim <3.

Next I made a full CG for the beautiful Petra:

Walking through the Daunt, learning the focus and preparing for the adventure ahead!

And finally, my BOY, Drakka!

As they fall away from a Thunderjaw barrage, into an underground lake and on to their adventure!

When the first route you play in Focus On The Heart has the companion take off a layer of their armor and you suddenly are very eager to play every character to see who else may or may not shed some layers for your viewing pleasure Aloy’s attention

You can’t blame me for appreciating the gorgeous character art! 😳 @focusontheheart

I really like that, collectively, a variety of different people from different ships from the same fandom decided it was vitally important that Aloy get kissed. And then got together so the rest of us could help.

Wow???? Y'all just made this completely professional-level, amazing visual novel for FREE?? It's so GOOD. Finished Talanah's route and it was 100% worth going back to getting the CGs i missed. I love all the different art styles. (Also ouch that bad ending, but i had to see it!) The music blends in perfectly and transitions so smooth. The use of sound effects and ambient noise -chef's kiss- love to see it.

I am looking forward to making my way through the other routes over the next several days <3

Illustration for @focusontheheart, the Horizon fan game!

Now that the fan game @focusontheheart has been out for a bit, I can finally post the illustration I put together for the Kotallo romance path. It was a lot of fun to get to make this little piece and I'm honored to have contributed something to the game. If you haven't played it yet, you should! I hope you all enjoyed @focusontheheart!! Just wanted to make a final post thanking the FOTH leads @kittleskittle @nerd-artist @chloefraazers and @melikochan for bringing this project to life. Thank you Seyka squad! First to @dino-trash-kieran and @bookmancer-legendarium for all the hard work and thought you put into writing this route! And of course @silketara for working with me and being willing to color everything so beautifully!

this is a week-overdue post oops but I'm working my way through all of the character routes in Focus on the Heart and I am SO AMAZED at what you all came together to create!!! like. honestly I have no experience with visual novels/dating sims, so I didn't know what to expect, but it is so so so cool to see the outcome of this amazing collaborative project!!! I can tell how much love and care went into every aspect of the game. the sprites, the backgrounds, the music (some of it is stuck in my head!), the writing that flows naturally between player-driven choices and the (I'm assuming) fixed points in each path - idk anything about game development but I can tell it's a staggering amount of work and it's amazing. I know I'll miss someone so I won't try tagging everyone but congrats to you all and thank you for sharing your work with all of us!!!

I just want to say a massive thank you to the Focus on the Heart team. So far I've only managed to do Nil and Petra's routes, but Petra's story was just so much fun, and Nil's story had me smiling and crying in equal measure.

I just know that the other routes will be fantastic, both stories and art both. The whole team have made something special here, so thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you!

No spoilers, but I've just played the Erend route on FOTH (later than planned, I've been very busy the last two days) and I just had to scream about how PERFECT the ending was. One bit made me laugh so loud my partner heard me from the shed.

Also the artwork is just... stonkingly beautiful. I wanted to rush through the story in my eagerness but forced myself to take it slow just to appreciate the backgrounds. And the music and sounds are wonderful.

The brilliant, amazing, talented people that made this deserve all of the love. ALL OF IT.
