I feel like this design would feel significantly more reasonable if the belly button window was closed and she was wearing a skirt instead of shorts. Idk I love the tights they're like my favourite part of the design but I think the shorts look so silly

Had a dream where Sharenna "ladies first"ed her way into Smash bros. Even had a cutsceen moment where she had a tea party with Lucina and femByleth. Felt way too real, help.

To be clear when I say femByleth is obviously more interesting, yes, it's for the usual reasons (like femShep or whatever) of it just being a less clichéd character that way, but moreover it's her flat affect. Incredibly cliche in a dude but not a woman.

maybe edelgard had a twin sibling/twin brother (Alot of fics use both byleth and fembyleth by saying they are twins you could make a what if edelgards twin survived)

The concept of twin flame was started Greek mythology and told by the philosopher “Plato” That a twin flame is one soul,spilt into two. Maybe this what makes the figarlands so special. In Greek mythology, it’s said humans use to have four arms and legs. Till Zeus spilt them apart.

It’s said when twin flame is separated, they become very dysfunctional in many ways and lose one self

Edelgard's consistent association with twins is one of my favorite details about her.

There's the obvious of her having two Crests, Adrestia's symbol being the twin-headed eagle, you get two choices to make that'll affect her course of action later on, and the moniker of her two most trusted allies that aren't Byleth being the "Twin Jewels", but there's also how her birthday is on the 22nd day of Garland Moon, and how her hair throughout her lifetime reflect that twin imagery quite well.

byleth in azue moon is explicitly a replacement for dedue, and its really gross because dedue is the only main cast member who can actually "canonically" die before the end of the war. they dont even show the guy dying on screen, hes just Gone. they dont even give him the dignity of a cinematic or even one of those fancy still images.

in crimson flower, at least, you can be a bit vague with the "oh byleth and edelgard are in love" thing because the story doesnt necessarily frame it as romantic. if you pair byleth off with somebody else, the narrative still works.

azure moon actively collapses under the weight of fire emblems systems, because the narrative FALLS APART if you pick anyone but dimitri as an s-support. (which by the way requires you to be fembyleth because dimitri is straight) the narrative literally says that dimitri only picked himself back up because byleth gave him the love and support he needed to get back up. it is EXPLICITLY romantic... which just makes it even worse, because that shouldve been dedue! i hate the dedue/dimitri ship, and even *I* think it shouldve been dedue!

and worse, the narrative actually makes SENSE if its dedue, because that sort of passivity is already ingrained into their relationship! it would make sense for dedue to watch dimitri go nuts, and it would make sense for there to be a breaking point where dedue says "I want the old Dimitri back." it would make sense for those two characters to have a conversation about where their duty lies, and what lines they are and arent willing to cross.

but nope! we gotta kill off dedue, because how else are we meant to write Dimitri's Tragic Manpain narrative?

I really hate how a lot of the Dimileth fandom portrays Byleth. They always make f!Byleth so soft and demure and quiet and always doting on Dimitri, and completely forget m!Byleth even exists. Byleth in Dimileth shippign often feels like a sexy lamp you can replace with an OC and it wouldn't make a difference.

Edeleth fans always make Byleth so much more interesting. Byleth there is wise, strong, independent, has thoughts about things that aren't their partner. And are often nonbinary too! If you tried to replace Byleth here, it's noticeable, but still dynamic.

I would blame it on Azure Moon itself, honestly, what with the way Byleth is just utterly passive in the face of Dimitri's abhorrent behavior. Literally the only time they step in is to mercy kill Randolph, and then you can literally go "I want my fwiend back :(" to him.

This is my second costest for timeskip Byleth (the first one was a really big fail 🤧) There's still a lot to do: find a better color for my eyebrows, buy the right pair of lenses and adjust some wig's details. Oh, and to hearken back to my earlier post about the genderlocked classes, the upshot of this is that I've never actually seen the advanced Brawler classes, (or really any of the male-exvlusive non-casters), as the only characters I actually use who I might've specced into them are femByleth and Catherine. (Raphael and whats-his-nuts, the little teal guy, are the own-House characters that got perma-adjutant status in favour of knights/Sylvain/Lysithea in BE/Flayn etc)
