give me rtc character hcs for being in the subway for the first time
i love how this implies that they’ve never been in the subway before. well, since most of them almost never left uranium, this checks.
ocean — she always advocated for public transportation (and for some reason believed it wasn’t widely used, probably because she assumed everyone could use a car and subway was for noble people who cared for the environment), but if she ever went to a big city, she never stayed there for long, and usually walked by foot. when she actually used the subway for the first time, she decided to hand out flyers that said something like “thank you for choosing public transit! here are some other ways you can help the planet (…)”. ended up absolutely overwhelmed and in a taxi, wiping tears with the flyers no-one seemed to like. wonder why.
noel — romanticized the shit out of paris metropolitan, said he researched all about it and prided himself on being more knowledgeable of it than a local. when he got to go to france (probs a family/school trip when he was a teen) he bought an overpriced graphic t-shirt with the metropolitan map and confidently entered the underground. immediately got disappointed it wasn’t all gothic catacombs, and accidentally sat on a wrong train. had to take off his t-shirt and figure out where he was, and after two hours of being chest naked in the french underground and hopping from one wrong train to another even wronger train a kind passer-by pointed out that the print on his tee was of marseille, not paris. he spent an extra hour figuring out the correct map and asking for directions in broken french (the locals despised him). he entirely missed the drag show he waited for, and ever since then grew to hate the french underground.
mischa — is in on a ukrainian inside joke about metro in odesa. successfuly convinced all choir that there’s metro in odesa. there is no metro in odesa.
there’s also a ukrainian book called toreadors from vasyukivka, where two boys want to build a metro in their village, so they dig a big hole in their yard and a cow accidentally falls into it. safe to say their idea doesn’t stick. at some point these boys get to kyiv and immediately get lost in metro there. that’s 100% mischa. he did this i was the cow.
also he always finds ways not to pay for his ride: jumps over the tourniquet’s, crawls under them, squeezes in with a person in front of him etc. sometimes gets extremely bored and hides in a train wagon when it reaches the final stop, and stays in it when it goes to depo.
ricky — his parents drove him everywhere by car, and told the tales about toronto subway being inaccessible, dangerous and full of freaks. he never believed them. at some point (maybe in a trip with the choir) he got to travel by subway himslef. it was, in fact, a bit of an unpleasant experience, but he found out that it sucks on his own terms and was lowkey proud.
also he was listening to some cringefail furry music (i do not know if furry music is a thing but it will be now) and realised his earphones disconnected and he was blasting it to everyone only after he got home.
penny — had a secret hiding spot in toronto subway where she could keep her things and return to see them intact. she and ezra hid there often and spied on people, sometimes picking up what fell out of their purses — like pieces of candy or pennies (get it? penny? pennies? penis?). they never stayed there for long tho cause it was too overwhelmingly loud.
one time she went to that place and realised some construction workers occupied it. she was emotionally devastated.
constance — always saves the seat for the elderly, disabled and other people who might need it, and people always thank her plenty when she does so. actually never ever sat on a train seat unless the wagon was mostly empty. however, one time she had a horribly tiring + devastating + bad day and decided to sit down for once. got called 10 slurs by an old guy who didn’t see there was another free seat and ocean then told her she should have thought about others first. when she got home she wrote an angry vent in her musical diary (yk, the ones that open with a password and then play a one direction song or smth) with a fluffy pen.
+ talia — she is a subway rat. has a love/hate relationship with obolon station. has beef with pochayna station. she herself is from solomyanka region of kyiv where there is no subway. considers it her curse.
thank you folks for reading this, feel free to send me asks for headcanons!

Any interest in grading everyone’s first day of free agency? Would love to hear your thoughts!!
ooh okay ! well as tuned in as i am i didn't catch everything so this is going to be pretty incomplete/fairly uninformed but here's my attempt:
boston bruins: that zadorov contract LOL AND LMAO (i say as if hes not going to immediately skyrocket to excellence.) that lindholm contract might be even worse with the same caveat. A+ for me, a hater
buffalo sabres: what did they even do? C.
detroit red wings: kane is a bad move + jack campbell is fine at that contract + cam talbot is the epitome of "goalies? what's up with goalies?" + why do they have 4 goalies now. C-
florida panthers: lost montour, lost oel, lost lomberg. that reinhart contract is really good though. C+
montreal canadiens: if slaf continues on his upward trajectory that contract looks great; if he doesn't, they're already bad so it doesn't matter all that much. B
ottawa senators: what did they even do? get noah gregor? i hear he's very fast. C.
tampa bay lightning: where do i even start with this one
toronto maple leafs: the problem w/ all of the leafs' acquisitions is that they are Fine, some of them even Good, but they're just overpaid enough for me to not only get annoyed about it but also see 30 ft of insufferably rancid discourse every time i open twitter. B+
carolina hurricanes: appear to have lost half the guys i remember being on their roster, but the one dude they did end up signing was one of the small handful of good deals i saw handed out today. C
columbus blue jackets: this team's quality does not matter. you know what does matter? gaudreau/monahan reunion. A
new jersey devils: brett pesce's good. B+
new york islanders: anthony duclair's good but i mourn what lou lamoriello will make him do with his hair. C+
new york rangers: what did they even do. C.
philadelphia flyers: MATVEI MICHKOV IS COMING. TELL YOUR FRIENDS, TELL YOUR ENEMIES, TELL TRAVIS KONECNY, TELL EVERYONE!!! A
pittsburgh penguins: incredibly committed to the bit of only signing players over 30 and they don't have poj back yet. C
washington capitals: genuine home runs in here. chychrun... pld... matt roy... didn't even give out valuable picks to acquire these assets! A
chicago blackhawks: i think they're trying to crawl out of this rebuild with no other serious potential core members other than bedard, which don't get me wrong is a bad move, but i also think they're not doing a terrible job of crawling out of the rebuild. B
colorado avalanche: kept jo drouin. C+
dallas stars: lyubushkin is incredibly bad and they gave him 3.25 aav. and casey desmith is there. F
minnesota wild: extended one of the sexiest toothless men on earth jake middleton. A
nashville predators: A+
st louis blues: what did they even do. C
utah hockey club: that durzi price is a bit steep but hey, if you've never had the money before i guess you might as well spend it. also sergachev was a BALLSY move i will miss you my cunty mistress. also we (the nhl) have a fucking iginla again... for our health. we need an iginla. B-
winnipeg jets: what did they even do. C
anaheim ducks: what did they even do. C
calgary flames: sharangovich extension + anthony mantha. tidy bit of business. zayne parekh YOU are the 2025 calder trophy winner. C+
edmonton oilers: managed to get a couple good players on nice cheap contracts, improved their rush game even more somehow, and will have to re-print their goalie's jerseys because they now have two different guys named skinner. A
la kings: gave joel edmundson nearly 4 million dollars a year. D
seattle kraken: stole brandon montour from florida. B+
san jose sharks: unlike the hawks, seem to be actively prepared to break out of the rebuild and trying to do it. toffoli? great! wennberg? a little overpaid but they're trying to hit the cap floor at this point so it's quite good! rumours of pavs return to san jose but you didn't hear it from me. B+
vancouver canucks: jake debrusk is gonna be a good linemate for petey imho. the hronek and myers contracts were a little rich but honestly they seem to be a lot more coherent ideologically than they were just a couple years ago. B
vegas golden knights: basically lost every remaining original misfit/otherwise quality forward in an effort to keep marchessault, and then lost marchessault anyway to the Power Of Divorce. and now they have ilya samsonov as their starting goaltender. F
#asks#getting an automatic C for doing nothing is bc it is super duper easy to fuck your shit up by doing something.#thank u sarah ! ^-^

"During the panic of the fall of 1939, the RCMP began harassing communists, arresting them for violating Defence of Canada Regulations (DOCR) regulations 39 and 39A, even before the Party published its position against Canadian participation in the war.
On September 9, Philip and Gordon Tonner, from Toronto, were arrested for distributing Party materials. The court quickly threw out the case against the two men. The Party published its position against Canadian participation in the war on October 14, 1939. On November 10, the RCMP arrested 23, including ten in Montreal, for distributing communist documents. The Canadian Press reported on November 13 that four more communists in Toronto, eight more in Montreal, as well as one man in Lacombe, Alberta were arrested and charged for having distributed anti-war flyers. On November 21, the Canadian Press reported that Douglas Stewart, business manager of the communist newspaper, Clarion, was sentenced to two years of imprisonment for printing the Comintern statement of opposition to participation in the war. In Oshawa, an ex-soldier, Frank Towers, was sentenced to three months imprisonment for having sold Clarion, even before it had been banned along with its French-language equivalent, Clarté.
Most of these cases were thrown out of court, although some did receive sentences of up to six months in prison and fines of $500. Four communists were arrested for violating regulation 39, or for merely saying things that police judged to be dangerous to the security of the state or the prosecution of the war. Nick Tuchinsky, from Tilsonbury, Ontario and Alfred Neal, from Kingston, were arrested in December, 1940, but each case ended in acquittal. Nevertheless, two men from Kirkland Lake, Ontario, B. L. McMillan and Charles Stewart, each received sentences of three months and fines of $200 for having expressed sentiments judged to be dangerous or subversive. Four people were accused of having distributed Party newspapers, and twenty-one were charged with possession of communist documents, while eight Winnipegers were arrested for being Party members. The most common reason for arrest was distribution of subversive flyers, for which 44 were charged.
Most cases were thrown out of court for insufficient evidence. In fact, this was the case for twelve women from across Canada, while Olive Swankey, wife of Hull internee Ben Swankey, was held for ten days of interrogation in Edmonton, then released without being charged. Hull internee Charles Weir was arrested for distributing anti-war literature, but was freed since there were no witnesses, only to be soon interned. Another Hull internee, Patrick Lenihan, a Calgary alderman, was acquitted by jury of having expressed statements likely to cause disaffection to His Majesty, only to be interned soon after.
Not all was failure for the authorities when charging communists for specific offences. Nine women were successfully charged, including three in Manitoba and four in Saskatchewan, where authorities seemed to be more successful in prosecuting precise offences. The unfortunate Annie Buller and Margaret Mills each received sentences of two years, while Ida Corley received a sentence of one year. All were from Winnipeg, while Regina resident Gladys McDonald was imprisoned for a year, followed by fourteen months of internment, making her the only communist woman to be interned during World War II.
Two cases of imprisonment in Manitoba deserve special mention. In the fall of 1940, Mitch Sago, a Ukrainian community leader, and Tom McEwen, a member of the political bureau of the Party, were charged with being members of the Party. On November 8, 1940, Sago and McEwen were tried and sentenced to two years less a day of hard labour at the provincial jail in Headingly. Nowhere was hard labour to be found within the DOCR, therefore, on October 10, 1941, McEwen and Sago applied for habeas corpus on the grounds that the original magistrate had exceeded the law with the hard labour sentence. Justice Donovan of the Manitoba Supreme Court agreed and granted Sago and McEwen their freedom, however, on September 9, 1941, Justice minister Lapointe had issued an order for internment, which took effect immediately after the men’s liberation from Headingly, whereupon they were interned in Hull. Internment was to prove a much more useful tool for repressing communists, as opposed to imprisonment for specific offences, especially after the Party was made illegal in June, 1940.
Approximately two-thirds of those detained were held using articles 21 and 39C of the DOCR read together. The official history of the Communist Party of Canada cites that “according to the Canadian Civil Liberties Union, 64 persons had been arrested by the end of February, 1940, of which nineteen received prison terms ranging from one month to two years, while the rest were fined amounts ranging from $1 to $500.”

You Might Be Killing Your Real Estate Brand Without Knowing It – Here's How
Let’s be real—your real estate brand isn’t just about your logo or a pretty website. It’s about being remembered when someone’s ready to buy, sell, or invest.
But many real estate businesses—whether in Delhi or New York—still commit branding sins that silently ruin their growth potential. 😩
In this blog, we’re calling out the top 10 branding fails real estate companies make—and showing you how to fix them like a pro (with a little help from the best branding agency in India).
Let’s go! 🚀
1. No Brand Strategy = No Direction 🧭
If your brand doesn’t have a clear strategy, how can your audience know who you are?
🔑 Fix it: Start with proper brand strategy development. Define your story, audience, tone, and market position. A solid branding and design agency will map it all out for you.
2. Inconsistent Visuals = Broken Trust
Different colours on your Instagram, another logo on your website, and completely random flyers? That’s a mess.
🔑 Fix it: Stick to a uniform style across platforms. Your digital branding agency should create branding guidelines that sync across web, social, print & more.
3. Logos That Try Too Hard 👀
Your logo should be clean, not a jigsaw puzzle. Complex logos confuse more than they convert.
🔑 Fix it: Work with the top logo design companies or a best logo design company that specialises in clean, minimal logos perfect for both signage and digital.
4. No Idea Who You're Talking To
If you’re trying to attract everyone, you’ll end up attracting no one. Period.
🔑 Fix it: Define your audience—are they NRI investors, first-time buyers, or luxury homeowners? A skilled branding outsourcing company in India can segment and tailor content accordingly.
5. Ignoring Online Presence = Game Over
Having a website isn’t enough anymore. Your digital brand needs to be active, optimised, and trustworthy.
🔑 Fix it: Team up with a creative offshore branding agency or branding agency in India to manage your digital identity across all platforms.
6. Blending in With Competitors 🥱
"Affordable homes", "best deals", "trusted since 2001"—yawn. What makes you different?
🔑 Fix it: Use storytelling, unique selling points, and visual branding to stand out. Let an affordable branding agency shape your UVP.
7. DIY Branding That Looks... DIY 🙈
Just because Canva exists doesn’t mean you should skip the pros. DIY branding often looks low-effort.
🔑 Fix it: Hire a graphic design agency near me or hire branding agency in India to look polished, premium, and worth trusting.
8. No Real Storytelling = No Real Connection 💬
People connect with stories. They want to know what you stand for—not just what you're selling.
🔑 Fix it: Build brand stories—about your founders, satisfied clients, your growth, your goals. That’s what a branding design agency can bring to life with graphics and voice.
9. No Testimonials = No Trust 😬
If your potential client doesn’t see any reviews, they’ll assume you’re new, small, or unsafe.
🔑 Fix it: Collect and display testimonials in eye-catching formats designed by your graphic design agency. Make your clients your biggest ambassadors.
10. Not Staying Updated = Outdated Brand
Branding trends shift fast. What looked cool in 2018 is cringe in 2025.
🔑 Fix it: Revamp and refresh! Consult the best design agencies in the world or an offshore branding agency in India to keep your look modern and global.
🔚 Real Estate Branding Isn’t Optional—It’s Essential
Your brand is either making you money—or costing you clients.
If your real estate branding feels outdated, scattered, or invisible, now’s the time to fix it. Whether you're selling properties in Gurgaon or marketing villas in Toronto, branding is your silent business partner.
✅ Need rebranding? ✅ Need a fresh logo? ✅ Need consistent digital presence?
