puzzle game recommendation: Jelly no Puzzle by Qrostar!

it's super tightly designed. i'm not great at puzzle games and usually flounder through them without gaining a real grasp of the mechanics, but this is one of the first times i've really understood the language of a game like this and thought about what the win condition for a puzzle would look like, and what moves would need to be made to get there, and what moves would be strictly impossible.

made me really feel for myself what you like about the genre

i have not taken the qrostar pill yet, i tried yugo puzzle and it was too hard. like i didnt crack it, felt like a process of proving without a doubt that the puzzle is impossible and then finding one move i hadnt done yet, but i probably need to git gud

Random thought: If Son Goku played video games, I think he'd probably like Dragon Ball games. Specifically for PVP. (He'd probably also like Soulslikes.) Goku wouldn't have a Git Gud attitude towards other players but he would enjoy games where the main form of progression is just working hard, improving your own personal skills, and mastering the gameplay.

Junko Enoshima would probably hate mystery-solver games like Ace Attorney or Danganronpa though. She'd crack the mystery like halfway through the investigation phase and then be bored out of her skull waiting for the characters to catch up.

I have cracked. I have downloaded HelloChinese and Du Chinese. I do need to go back to the beginning and Git Gud at writing and speaking, and graded readers seem a logical next step to my goal of being able to read novels.

Yeah actually. The fact that the person says this means at the very least they are aware of the culture around the videogame, why put it in the tag where everyone will see it?

Well, for one, some people have this misconception that when someone is telling you to "git gud" they're insulting you and trying to show that they're better than you. And indeed, some people do that, but in a post where you're criticizing the game or asking for advice, what you're actually being told to do is just.. Sit your ass down and PRACTICE.

Sometimes "get better at the videogame" is just good fucking advice. Go to the brick wall you're complaining about, and beat your head against it untill it cracks. Play the fucking videogame. Stop looking for cheese strats. Stop looking for excuses to blame the game for your failing.

Sit down, try your best, even if it seems impossible and bullshit, try again and again, because in the end it will be worth it, you will understand what the game is about, it will feel fucking GREAT.

Not "git gud" as in you're bad, but "git gud" as in actually just become better. You can do this, you have the strength and the grit and the power to win. This is what it's all about.

"Don't you dare reply to this post with 'git gud'" then why did you tag it as the game. You're actually just inviting people to make fun of you
