A Google mesterséges intelligencia asszisztense hamarosan a telefon feloldása nélkül is képes lesz kezelni hívásokat és üzeneteket.

A Gemini mesterséges intelligencia bemutatását követő kezdeti időszakban a Google sok kritikát kapott azzal kapcsolatban, hogy a gyakorlati funkciók terén - mint például a készülékek kezelése vagy a különféle okosotthon eszközök vezérlése - igencsak lemaradásban van a mára klasszikussá vált Google Asszisztenshez képest. Ez változik meg a következő néhány frissítéssel, kezdve azzal, hogy a felhasználók a képernyő feloldása nélkül is képesek lesznek tárcsázásra vagy üzenetküldésre rávenni az újgenerációs asszisztenst.

A hírt közlő 9to5Google szerint a funkció még nem érhető el széles körben, de vannak, akiknek már megjelent készülékén az erre vonatkozó menüpont, a közeljövőben pedig további lokális funkciókkal vagy helyben tárolt fájlokkal kapcsolatos képességek megjelenésére is számíthatnak az Android felhasználók. A pletykák szerint Ilyen lehet például a dokumentumok és média tartalmak kezelése is, azaz ha igazak a hírek, az asszisztens képes lesz szóbeli kereséssel is megtalálni mondjuk egy képet, videót, vagy egy dokumentumot az alapján, hogy melyek felelnek meg leginkább az általunk adott leírásnak.

"Google ist nett und unterstützt uns mit seinen KI Programmen - und alles ganz kostenlos." Der Witz war gut! Natürlich hat Google seine Hintergedanken und genügend Menschen werden darauf hereinfallen, wenn uns Gemini anbietet: "... help you use Phone, Messages, WhatsApp, and Utilities on your phone" - also: "... hilft Ihnen bei der Verwendung von Telefon, Nachrichten, WhatsApp und Dienstprogrammen auf Ihrem Telefon" einfach durch Sprachein- und -ausgabe.

Damit hebeln diejenigen, die dieses "Feature" nutzen die Verschlüsselung von WhatsApp aus, denn Gemini hat die unverschlüsselte Nachricht vom Nutzer erhalten und gibt sie erst zum Verschlüsseln an WhatsApp weiter und ankommende Nachrichten "darf" WhatsApp an Gemini im Klartext übergeben, denn wir "wollen diesen Service" von Google doch verwenden.

Glücklicherweise kann man diesen Dienst noch(!) abschalten. Wir erinnern uns, dass dies etwa beim blauen Ring von Meta-AI nicht möglich ist. Den müssen die Nutzer ertragen oder sich endgültig von Facebook trennen ...

Doch aufgepasst: Auch wenn man so schlau ist und über "Gemini / Profile / Gemini Apps Activity / Turn off" sich von Gemini getrennt hat, so ist Google der Meinung: "Google will still retain your data for up to 72 hours to maintain safety and security of Gemini Apps". Das muss so etwas ähnliches wie ein verkürztes Scheidungsjahr sein ...
