2 versions of both armed version and version without arms, one with purple outlines to help with distinguishing whats what and one without the purple lines
New monster hunter oc (specifically in the mhstories/stories2 canon). I just wanted to make a Tigrex that was inspired by a xenomorph.
(No rider as of writing this, donāt know if I will ever give her a rider tbh lol)
I called the species āHollow-Abyss Tigrexā, it was a placeholder name, but I just never came up with anything lol, Hollow for caves where the species are found (hollow earth/deep caves), abyss for the deep dark (and also in ref to space, e.g. how its based on xenomorphās), and Tigrex is self-explanatory.Ā

About the species:Ā
HATigrex live deep within large cave systems, where no human or wyverian have ever stepped, so HATigrexās are an undiscovered species.
They live in small groups within cave systems, but isnāt a pack animal, just content to live amongst each other. Often they tend to group together within the same gender, though a female may join an all male pack as a protector from other groups.
The female of the species are bigger than the males, and more aggressive than the males too. They will often bully the males of their species for food. But the females also donāt mind protecting males theyāve bonded with/group with. Females are on the largest sizes Tigrexās can get where as males are on the smallest sizes Tigrex can get.Ā
The males have more bioluminescent than the females. The glowing parts on them is to try to attract prey, the more glowing parts on them the more prey they attract, leading to them being desirable due to bringing food closer.Ā
Males are often more docile, and when in groups will often play/rough house together, often seen as goofy. Whereas females in groups will often be seen lazing about together/grooming each other.Ā
Their cave systems are rich within bug life/giant bug life, and other similar critters which HATigrex hunt for food.
HATigrex donāt mind hunting bigger things e.g. any other monsters that happen to get into their cave systems.
They use the echos of their footsteps as a sort of echo location, and are very precise when charging due to being able to tell what their prey are going to do just by the echos that come back to them.Ā
Theyāre normally at the top of the food chain in the caves, but are normally outclassed by creatures such as Gaismagorm or Oltura (before it āhatchedā/the worm forms). Though groups of HATigrexās will work together to drive off Gaismagorm, they couldnāt defend themselves much from Oltura.Ā
If humans/wyverians were to meet HATigrex most would of them would try to attack the humans/wyverians just seeing them as food. If theyāre full on food theyāre almost docile and donāt mind the humans/wyverians coming up to them. Though the female HATigrex can be slightly more unpredictable, and may snap occasionally.

About Majaw:
Majaw unlike most of the females of her species is more closely personality wise to the males. Her mother was in a group of males and died protecting them. Leading to Majaw being raised by the males of the group, which she ended picking up on their more docile/playful nature. She still does have some aggression within her but is often on the docile side.Ā
She was separated from her group due to a cave-in, leading her into a cave system that was more close to the surface/outside world, other monsters within the cave system pushing her even further to the surface. She's often hiding due to being in an unfamiliar environment, and often tries to stick to what caves she can get into. Sheās within the Alcala region, when not in the caves she's hiding out within the Etulle Lofty Trees location, hiding in the denser parts of the forest.Ā
Sheās scared of humans/wyverians to some extent, after she was able to hear a fight between a human/wyverian and monster and was able to detect the human's scent and knew the human and wyverian won. Sheās a little less afraid of riders, due to having scents of monsters on them and monsters seem friendly towards them. If she smells a rider with food on them, she will go up to try to beg for food, struggling slightly to find food within this new environment.Ā
Majaw is a fairly friendly monster, just very shy due to not knowing what's going to attack her or not in this new environment. If a monster was to come up to her with no aggression, she would just assume it's another one of her kind coming to hang out, as she's only really known her own kind to be fairly tame to one another. She will often follow that monster around till they chase her off.
Majaw has managed to befriend a Nargacuga, and sheās often seen trailing behind the Nargacuga, or laying with them, often with her face buried within the Nargacugaās fluff on its neck. (Havenāt made this Nargacuga yet, when I get an idea for the design I will. And I will edit this with more about the friendship.)

What if we were both magic prodigies and it otherized us in different ways and we devoted ourselves to protecting a family member who has general other goals & priorities. What if we both did self-sacrifical devotion in opposite ways.
What if we were dark mirrors of each other and where I've grown overcontrolling you've grown complacent. What if, bought as a servant into a pretty loving home, ownership and control is what love looks like to me, and to you neglected and lonely growing up, love is gratefully taking any scraps of it youāre lent.
By belonging to someone, even if she comes back injured or fails at finding Delgal, she feels like she belongs and is cherished, by owning someone he feels safe in them not leaving him.

Sheās whatās tethering him do you see⦠And heās the only thing giving her direction and purpose in her state. She needs a compass and he needs a support.

Theyāre both so out of it š Itās the weirdly intense and unearned mutual trust and reliance on each other?? Theyāre each otherās weird little comfort codependent teddy bear. Or at least they were headed towards that before SHE DIED THEN HE DIED THEN THEY BOTH FORGOT ABOUT EACH OTHER AND NEVER MET EVER AGAIN. Though sheās also the guard attack hound keeping him safe⦠And vice versa he heals her and can rewrite her very being with just one wave of his hand. Theyāre both so so mentally and physically vulnerable both but they cling onto each other. They canāt perceive things accurately but despite it all someway somehow they stumble into something closer to resembling companionship just before they both die. Falin is just that kind and Thistle is just that lonely. Overworked.
We both havenāt lived for ourselves in a very long time, havenāt we.


They both have a similar devotion to the people they love but again the difference is that Thistle starts overtsepping while Falin is self-effacing. The other difference between them is that people care about Falin <3 People have given up on Thistle long ago, and he has given people reasons to, while people refuse to give up on Falin. Yaad has a mini arc about it dw about it itās ok heās not all alone in the end šš He reached out for Marcilleās hand but they already all wanted to help him, they just had to be given the chance to, Yaad just had to be given the chance to, itās okay Iām okay
Hey what if we learned to get in touch with our own identity and the world around us and living in the present again through being in the worst codependent situationship ever.

#my characters#she was (shocking to no one) a side character in a plot from forever ago and while i fleshed out her bg a LOT#she never got her own actual story ? the plot she was in had a lot of characters so her and her best friend myo were like... cameos#in other character arcs rip to she having her own#basically she had light powers and had a kind of whispy clear happy look (top)#and then the big bad guy corrupted her and she got dark powers#so myo and her start to think she is sick and then big bad shows up and tells myo that if he wants to help yuma - hed help#so he manipulates the two into working for the bad guys who id like to point out! think they're the good guys#so yuma keeps having cloudy and foggy memories and nightmares and she doesnt understand whats going on with her#and she tells myo who hasnt clued in yet and he tells her shes fine and shes too nice to do what she feels guilty for#and then after its all kinda said and done and the big bad dies the corruption disappears bc he was the one causing it#and at that point myo knows the horrible things hes kind of helped yuma do and the actual things yuma has done#and he goes to rem who a lot of people avoid since rem has mind reading and memory manipulation powers#and he asks if rem can help yuma forget everything bad#and rem - who is the unfortunate right hand of the big bad who feels so much guilt for everything he has done -#asks him if its what yuma wants cause it isnt his place to change it without her consent as well#bc rem was actually the one that yuma interacted with most outside of myo#but as far as actual plots and arcs rem was more important ? common? idk ? as a focus#so despite yuma having a lot of established background and drama she never had her own ... thing#but as the dark corruption gets to her she loses the clear stream vibes and is like an oozing oil spill#and it kinda festers into her becoming like an eldritch monster type being from the grief and guilt her conscious has#while polluted by darkness sooooo#she just kinda becomes a monster in the background of the plot its fine she gets better#and that was storytime in the tags bye

You've always found your monstrous husband to be particularly imposing. He never loses his cool, and his smile is a rarity reserved only for your presence.
"He's a tough one," you find yourself remarking to his beastly butler.
The scaly servant nods, a faint grin threatening to crease his features. With a dry cough, he covers his face, allowing himself a moment of recollection.
You see, there's a certain intimacy that remains hidden even from you. He knows it too well. He'd probably be thrown over a grill if he ever dared to suggest such blasphemous truths to you, so he can only smile cheekily whenever you mention his Master's impenetrable character.
Indeed, only he's been allowed to witness the Dark Lord's pathetic, deplorable displays. Without exception, they're all about you. His jealousy, his greed, his desperate need to be in your presence.
His horrid Majesty will lead strategic meetings with a calculated frown, only to crumble to his knees when all other officials have left the chamber. "Two days left, Sir," the butler will coo at the unholy creature. "(Y/N) will be exactly where you left her."
What else comes to mind? Perhaps all the times he quietly listens to your daily interactions, merely flinching - an unnoticeable jolt - whenever you recall a particularly daring approach from some poor soul. "Then he grabbed my shoulder," you'll say, narrating your story unaware and indifferent. Ah, there it is; the butler's eyes narrow in glee. Whoever found the audacity to touch you shall be swiftly discarded. Unbeknownst to you, someone's fate has been sealed.
"I didn't think you'd be home for Christmas," you exclaim, surprised by the Demon King's arrival. "Weren't you caught in a war?"
"Well, I made it happen," he responds nonchalantly.
The butler follows his movements with a silent chuckle. He thinks back to the fire, the scorched cities, the piles of cadavers growing with each swift blow of his Master's unforgiving wrath.
"You're exceptionally vicious today, Sir," he said at the time. "Might it have anything to do with the little human's approaching holidays?"
"Ah! This reminds me," the Dark Lord began, pulling his sword out of a fallen soldier, "bring me the goods tonight. I've been told the Earthlings wrap their presents in colorful paper."

painfully domestic. fem!reader. established relationship. aged up characters.
in title, itoshi sae is simply 'the boyfriend.'
he is exempt from all tasks that would fall under the category of fatherly duties, and he should be fine with that. yet, he's been staring at your daughter's snoopy-themed lunch pail forgotten on the dining room table, for a little over ten minutes. he knew you were in a rush when you kissed him on the forehead and left for drop-off, clutching a tumbler of coffee in one hand and your work bag in the other. today was that important work meeting with administrators that you've been preparing for, and grabbing your second grader's lunch must have slipped your mind.
well, shit. of course this happens on his one day off.
he usually prides himself on his decision making, driven by instinct and unconscious knowledge from past experiences. but for the life of him, he continues to rest his chin on his clasped hands as his elbows dig into the table, glaring at the well-loved bag like a terrible first date. he checks his phone. it's 11:04. her school lunchtime begins at 11:30. if your daughter didn't eat lunch, she would come home grumpy; if she was grumpy, you would be equally grumpy when you pick her up from after-school care; that meant that by the time everyone was at your apartment, he'd be stuck in the middle of two hangry monsters that would gladly tear him to shreds.
so, he snatches up the pail--it's lighter than he thought it would be--and pulls his car keys from the hook by the door.
on the drive over, he imagines every possible way this interaction could go wrong. he was just the boyfriend, just the guy that you brought over every once in a while after date night. your daughter adored him, yes, but he wasn't as permanent of a fixture in your life as he wanted to be. if this all went sideways, you could think he was overstepping and break up with him. or, your daughter could think he was overstepping and tell you to break up with him. the front office could call the police on him and accuse him of trying to poison your daughter...and then you break up with him. the thought makes him grimace even as he pulls into the parking lot at 11:15.
his eyes narrow on the suspiciously collapsed bag in his passenger seat. upon opening, his heart drops into his stomach when there is nothing to be found but a broken plastic fork and a used napkin. had you forgotten to make her lunch altogether? were you that stressed and he had missed it? he's throwing the car back into 'drive' before he can finish swearing under his breath, pure adrenaline and muscle memory navigating him into the nearest fast food drive-thru and reciting your daughter's order that he'd typed into his phone. you didn't know he had the note containing all of your favorite food spots, orders, and other things that were special to you and your daughter; it was a secret he intended to take to his grave.
he pulls back into the parking lot at 11:25. five minutes until lunchtime started.
the bell hanging from the door handle makes a jingling noise as he enters the front office.
"hello, i'm here to drop off lunch for a student. she forgot hers this morning," he says as warmly as he can, holding up the lunch pail containing the fast food (he didn't know the school's policy on outside food and thought it best to hide it. he prayed the cup of soft serve didn't fall over). the receptionist looks up at him and then shakes her head in shock, like she couldn't believe what her eyes were feeding her.
"oh-oh wow, you're-you're that footballer," she sputters and he nods, his smile threatening to become strained and impatient.
"yes, i'd be happy to sign something after i drop this off," he continues. his eyes flick to the other office workers who have begun whispering among themselves, no doubt exchanging opinions on his surprise appearance.
"yes, of course. your student, she talks about you a lot." she does? "the other children complain to us that she is lying, but we were never able to dispel the rumors...until now."
"right." his smile is now more like a fraying tightrope. "so, i'm able to drop this off for her?"
"of course, all guardians on the emergency contact list are allowed to bring lunch for their students," the woman chirps. for the first time, sae's brain completely shuts down. he was on the emergency contact list? but he didn't put himself there, so does that mean you had put him down? "shall i call her up to the front office, or would you like to deliver it to her classroom?"
"either is fine, whichever is faster since lunch is about to start," he replies. she nods, picking up the desk phone and murmuring to whoever was on the other end of the line.
"she'll be here in a few minutes; you can have a seat in the meantime," she informs him after she hangs up and gestures to the chairs behind him. he obliges, and it's only two minutes before your daughter comes barreling around the corner with a smile so wide, he's afraid she might damage her jaw.
"mister sae! mister sae! mister sae!!" she squeals, leaping forward and throwing herself into his arms. his arms instinctively secure around her body despite his mind's shock.
"hey, kid. forget something today?" he places her on the floor and kneels to her level, handing her the snoopy lunch pail. she gasps, grabbing it and jumping in place with excitement. "careful with that, there's a surprise inside that may or may not be ice cream," he whispers secretively, giving her a wink.
"do you go back to work now?" she asks, a pout pulling down her bright smile. "i don't want you to leave."
the office door bell jingles before he has the chance to answer. he smells your perfume a split second before you say with amusement, "well, who do we have here?"
"mama!" your daughter attaches herself to your legs while sae turns to you with a smirk. "mister sae is here."
"i see that." the surprise of seeing your boyfriend at your daughter's school temporarily stuns you, despite you being the one who put him on the emergency contact list. "whatcha got there?" in your daughter's hand dangles her lunch pail, which smells interestingly like the greasy paper bag of fast food that you'd rushed to grab after you finished your meeting.
"mister sae brought me lunch since i forgot it today," she explains. "he says there's ice cream."
"among other things," he interjects, earning a chuckle from you and a giggle from your daughter. "i woke up and saw the pail on the table, and...just didn't want her to be hungry."
"you didn't need to do that." you look at him with something soft in your eyes, and he looks back.
"but i did." the shrill sound of the school bell breaks the intimacy of the moment and you set your daughter back down. "we should get going," he reminds your daughter. "you've got some food to eat."
"what about mama's food?"
"i think mister sae and i can finish it off, no?"
"guess i'm switching cheat day to today," he confirms. "go ahead and go to lunch, honey. we'll be back in a few hours to pick you up."
"promise?"
"promise."

You get hurt, and Sukuna learns the hard way that nothing is as terrifying as the thought of losing you
PART 1

Sukuna still visits you every other day, his feet always carrying him back to your little hut in the middle of the woods. Back into your arms, back to this newly-discovered feeling he only gets when he is with you. This warmth, that he never knew before. This fluttery feeling, that fills his chest and makes a smile tug at his lips.
Here in your hut, Sukuna doesn't have to be on his guard all the time. He can let go and just feel. It's a kind of luxury he never had before. When he feels the soft caress of your skin against his. When your warmth envelops him. When he surprises himself by how tenderly he kisses you and how slowly he moves on top of you, inside you, treasuring every moment of your intimate union, committing every gasp falling from your lips to his memory, reveling in the feeling of your legs tightening around him and your fingers digging into the muscles of his broad back, right before his name falls from your lips in the sweetest cries.
Sukuna can't deny that he would like to see you every day. He craves your presence, your touch, your company. He would like to sleep curled around you every night in his bed in his temple. He would like to have you join him during his baths. He would like to have you sit across from him at every meal Uraume serves him.
But when he brings it up one evening when he and you are tangled up in your bed, bodies still hot and sweaty from your freshly spent passion, you smile and shake your head slightly,
"My place is here. I don't think I would be fit to be the woman by your side, my Lord."
Sukuna's first instinct is to bark a command, demanding you to obey him and come with him. Telling you that no one says no to the King of Curses. But he closes his mouth again before his lips can form any words like that. It doesn't feel right to say that to you.
Sukuna almost laughs out loud at the realization. He is a man used to taking what he wants, a man used to everyone kneeling before him and following his orders obediently or dying a gruesome death.
But it's different when he is with you. He doesn't want to scare you or force you to obey his wishes. He doesn't want to use his power and strength against you. No, when it comes to you, Sukuna cannot bring himself to do any of that.
What would your connection even be worth if he forced you to come with him? It would just be like everything else in his life. Empty and fake. Sometimes, Sukuna catches himself thinking that nothing in his life is real. Everyone is just playing an act around him, careful to please the monster they fear. So terrified of him that they do anything to avoid his anger. And others are constantly sucking up to him, wanting nothing more than using him for their own gain. All they care about is his power, his riches, his protection.
How refreshing it is to hear you say no to him. How refreshing it is to see how honest you are. How brave. Sukuna's heart swells with pride and admiration.
No, he won't force you to come with him. He doesn't want to taint what the two of you have. He doesn't want it to become nothingness, just like everything else in his life. When one can take anything he wants without resistance, everything slowly loses meaning. But what you and Sukuna have is meaningful, and Sukuna wants it to stay that way.
And so he just laughs gruffly and tightens his four arms around you, pressing himself against you from behind, wrapping his huge, muscular body around you, holding you at least for a few hours here in your bed, while he adds softly,
"You are the only one that is fitting to be the woman by my side. I hope you'll give it more thought and maybe change your mind, little one. But if not, I will just come find you here. But know that I won't ever take another woman. The place beside me is reserved for you."
Sukuna sees you lift your head and look at him with surprise written all over your face. You reach out, and your tiny hand cups his disfigured cheek oh so tenderly. Caressing him as if he isn't the monster that everyone fears. He leans into your tender touch like a starving man, his four eyes closing momentarily as he just lets himself bask in your loving touch.
Sukuna's enjoyment is still laced with fear. It still scares him what you do to him. How you managed to put him under your spell. He is so strong and powerful, but his heart feels so fragile since he found his way into your arms.
Sukuna sighs and rolls off you, gazing down at your small figure on the bed, letting his hands travel slowly down your naked skin from your shoulders down to your thighs before he straightens up, his hair almost brushing against the ceiling of your small hut.
"Sleep well. I'll come to visit you again soon."
The smile he gifts you is too tender to ever be shown in bright daylight, but here in the dim lighting of your hut, which is only illuminated by several small lanterns, Sukuna thinks it is safe to show such raw emotion.
He walks back to his temple through the nightly forest, taking his time, breathing in the cold night air that carries the earthy scents of the forest. On his clothes, he can also still smell the soup you cooked for him. And underneath that is another smell. Your scent. Flowers and herbs and magic mixed with the sweetness of your sweat and your arousal that is still clinging to Sukuna's skin.
A light chuckle escapes his lips as he slowly follows the narrow path through the forest. Yes, you truly awakened another side of him. Who would have thought that the feared monster could become so tame and so vulnerable for a tiny human woman?

But Sukuna doesn't know just how vulnerable he made himself by falling for you until he returns to your hut three days later.
He is still quite a bit away when his nose catches the faint smell of smoke. His nostrils flare, and all four sapphire eyes scan the trees around him. His strong body is alert, his muscles taut, and his hands are balled into fists as he sniffs the air.
It is unmistakably a smell he is all too familiar with, a smell that he is often the cause of. The smell of destruction and violence. Blood and smoke.
Sukuna breaks into a run before he is even aware of it. He rushes through the forest, his large feet landing heavily on the soft forest trail. His breath is harsh in his ears, and his body is tense, every muscle ready to strike.
He can already sense the tragedy before he even reaches his destination. And he gets the cruel confirmation he dreaded when he enters the small clearing where your hut stands. Or rather used to stand. There is not much left of it.
A fire crackles loudly as the bright flames flicker in the soft breeze, swallowing the wooden structure. Your few belongings are scattered all over the forest floor. The pots you cook your delicious soup in, the little flasks with all the things you collect in the forest, your bedding on which Sukuna made you his over and over again just three nights ago, and the beautiful red silk scarf he brought you as a present, half of which is burned to ashes.
Sukuna has never known fear like this, as when he stands frozen in place, his four sapphire eyes wide open as he stares at the destruction before him. His chest feels so tight. The smoke fills his nostrils and his lungs, choking him. And even worse than that, there's also another all too familiar smell filling his senses. The metallic smell of blood. A scent Sukuna usually enjoys because it means food or that he had fun wreaking destruction. But today, the metallic dark red scent is making him nauseous.
He draws in a sharp breath, finally able to move again as his gaze darts around. He can see a trail of dark red liquid sticking grotesquely to the light green grass that your naked feet used to dance on.
Sukuna follows that trail, not like a hunter this time, but like a man walking toward his execution, mind reeling with dark thoughts, heart heavy, convinced that what he will find at the end of this red trail will bring his demise.
Because how could Sukuna still call himself alive if you were taken from him so cruelly? Was he even truly alive before he met you? Before you kissed him and loved him and treated him like a man instead of a monster?
Sukuna grits his jaw. Either this will lead to the ruin of the feared King of Curses, or it will lead to an even more terrifying rule of terror. He will burn everything to the ground, will burn the whole world down, will cut everything and everyone to pieces, will stand in the flames and watch them all burn and bleed and scream and beg for his mercy. But Sukuna will have none. He doesn't need this world if you aren't in it anymore! His kingdom will be worth nothing if he doesn't have his queen by his side. No one deserves to live when his beloved was taken from him!
Regret joins Sukuna's desperation and anger. Regret that he never told you the sheer extent of his feelings for you. That he didn't court you like he should have.
Sadness threatens to drown him when he thinks of all the half-finished poems lying around in his study in his temple, all his attempts to put into words what he feels for you. Would you have smiled if he had given you one? Would you even have been able to read those poems, or would Sukuna have had to read them to you? Would you have found them beautiful? Would you have understood how much you meant to him?
Did you die crying out for him? Did you die, not knowing that he... that he loved you?
Sukuna's nails dig painfully into his palms, drawing blood, causing wounds he doesn't even bother to heal. He forbids himself to dwell on those thoughts, accelerating his speed as he rushes through the forest.
Sukuna's strong legs sway for a split second when he spots your crumbled figure lying under a tall tree.
He is by your side in an instant, the King of Curses kneeling in the dirt, staining his beautiful white pants with your blood and the muddy dirt of the forest floor, but he doesn't care. His four thick arms instinctively reach out but then stop a mere breath away from your lifeless figure. Scared to touch, scared to cause even more damage.
When Sukuna finally touches you, it is gentle, almost timid. Just his fingertips ghosting over your bloodied skin. He sends his reverse cursed technique through his skin to yours. He doesn't dare breathe, fearing it will be a fruitless attempt.
Fearing you are already gone. Fearing you have already stepped over the threshold to the afterlife without him, lost and lonely, scared out of your mind because he didn't manage to protect you, even though he is the most powerful sorcerer, the most feared monster.
"No."
The word comes out in a broken whisper as Sukuna grabs you and pulls you into his lap, strong jaw clenching when he sees the damage the intruders did to you. The countless bruises, the scratches, the blood, the ripped clothes. A part of him dies in that forest as he stares down at the broken body of the one he loves.
"Come back to me, little one! Open your eyes! Look at me!"
Sukuna's voice sounds like the growl of a wild animal, too harsh and too loud in the otherwise eerily silent forest. He sends more reverse cursed technique through his fingertips, pressing them against your skin, almost crushing you in his urge to heal you.
Fear and anger are a dangerous combination. The words leaving Sukuna's lips are harsh, cruel even, demanding, filled with the desperation of a man who thinks he has lost everything,
"Don't you dare leave me, woman! Open your eyes! I didn't allow you to go! Your King demands you to look at him, you damn brat! Look at me! I forbid you to die!"
Sukuna's voice breaks at the last word. His vision is blurry, and he doesn't know why. Is it sweat running into his eyes? Is it the smoke from your burned-down hut? His face feels wet, and he wonders if it is your blood soaking his skin, marking him with the guilt he feels for not being there for you when you needed him.
Sukuna presses his teeth together. He feels light-headed. From the fear, from the guilt, from the sheer amount of power he is using to send all that reverse cursed technique through his fingertips to your cold, bruised skin. He doesn't care, though. He will give you more. Will give you all of him until he uses up all his strength.
If he cannot bring you back with his power, then he will just die here next to you. Will place his huge body over yours, protecting you from the wild animals who will surely soon be attracted by the scent of your flesh. But they will have to go through him first. At least he will be able to do that for you.
A broken, raw sound escapes Sukuna's throat at the same time as a small, barely audible gasp leaves your lips.
Your eyes open, looking weakly up at Sukuna, staring uncomprehendingly at him. Sukuna draws in a sharp breath, his large hands grabbing you tightly as if he is scared you will slip through his fingers again if he lets go of you. The wetness in his eyes is even worse now, clouding his vision, spilling over, running down his cheeks hot and wet.
Your tiny hand comes up weakly to cup his cheek, just like you always do, gently caressing the black markings on his face and wiping away the strange wetness on his face.
"Sukuna... oh Sukuna. You came. I knew it. I knew you would find me in time."
You speak the words as if you never doubted he would save your life. As if you are completely convinced that your fates are entangled until the end of time. And maybe it truly is like that.
Sukuna lets out a relieved breath. He leans into your gentle touch, turning his face so he can press a kiss to the inside of your palm. He can taste your blood on his lips and the salty taste of what must be his own tears.
How strange. He can't remember ever crying before. Not even when he was just a starving, abandoned child who wandered through the streets looking for a way to survive. Not even when everyone called him a monster and threw stones at him had he ever spilled any tears. But you... you bring out so many new things in him. It's terrifying and beautiful in equal parts.
But right now, all that Sukuna feels is relief. Relief so immense that it makes him grin broadly at you, his chest filled with tingling exhilaration, his mind light-headed as he lets his gaze wander over you, watching your wounds close again, watching the life come back into your eyes.
Just looking at you isn't enough, though. Sukuna needs to touch you, needs to feel your skin becoming warm under his palms, needs to feel your heartbeat under his hand. He needs to make sure you are truly breathing, living, part of this world again. Part of his world. Or maybe not just part of Sukuna's world, but his whole world.
His large hands run over your body restlessly, still sending his healing powers into your skin.
"How are you feeling? Does it still hurt somewhere?"
You shake your head, a dreamy expression in your eyes as you look up at him.
"I feel good. You healed me. Thank you."
A weak but genuine smile lifts your lips, making Sukuna gulp hard. He can't look into your eyes for too long, or he fears you will see too much of the raw emotions cursing through him. Instead, he inspects your body scrutinizingly, checking for even the smallest scratch.
Sukuna is satisfied with what he sees. Your wounds have closed beneath the dried blood. All the broken bones are fixed again. His little fragile bird is whole again. Its broken wings are fixed again.
Regardless, one of Sukuna's large hands is slipping under the torn fabric of your robe, cupping your left breast, pressing his palm against your naked skin, feeling your heartbeat fluttering underneath it, counting it, waiting until it has settled into the familiar, strong rhythm it always has when he rests his head on your chest after making love to you on your small bed.
Finally, Sukuna dares to let his gaze wander to your face, his voice rough when he asks,
"Who did this to you?"
You shake when you tell him what happened. How a group of men came up to your hut as you were cooking, how they instantly attacked you, demanding you to hand over all of your belongings. They took everything of worth from you and then set fire to your home before they proceeded to attack you while laughing and telling you that you wouldn't get out this alive. You tried to run from them, fleeing into the forest, but they caught you again.
You can't describe them other than they had dark hair and black clothes, but Sukuna doesn't need more than that. He can still smell them on you.
He makes sure that you are comfortable, slipping out of his haori to carefully put it under your head as a cushion. Telling you to rest and that he will be back in a short time. He takes your hands in his and brings them to his lips, kissing your knuckles, his blue eyes burning into yours as if he is trying to make you understand he will do anything to make up for his mistake.
Sukuna moves through the forest with all his senses sharpened. In his hunting mode again. The powerful predator chasing his prey. The merciless monster looking for the kill. He can smell the stench of your attackers and can easily follow their trail down a narrow path through the forest.
He hunts them down quickly and finds the small camp they set up by the river, where they cook fish over a fire and laugh and chat as if they didn't just try to take everything from him.
Their laughter stops the moment they see the large, strong figure break through the underwood. And the laughter turns into screams of terror when Sukuna smirks cruelly at them as he snaps his fingers to slash their Achilles tendons, stopping them effectively from running from his wrath.
Now, Sukuna's laughter fills the air as he watches them fall into the muddy grass, scrambling desperately in their attempt to crawl away from him, screaming and begging. Begging for mercy he doesn't have.
"You laid your hands on what is mine. Now, you will suffer the punishment for it."
"Please let us go, Sukuna-sama! We didn't do anything wrong! We serve you devotedly! We would never attack any of the villages under your protection! It was just a useless woman!"
"Silence, insect! I didn't allow you to speak to me. That woman is mine. How dare you touch what belongs to me!"
He sees the comprehension settle over their faces, all hope leaving their eyes as they realize what they did. A satisfied smirk spreads over Sukuna's face as he slowly walks towards them, laughing when he sees their futile, pathetic attempts to crawl away. To escape from The King of Curses. From the God Ryomen Sukuna.
He stops only a few steps away from them, gazing down at them with cold hatred burning in his blue eyes.
"Usually, I would tell my loyal servant to come here and pick up your dead flesh after I am finished with you so they can cook it for me. But rotten people like you don't deserve the honor of being eaten by me. You will decay here in the dirt, getting eaten by worms and other animals."
Their screams, when he uses his power to slice them open and tear them apart oh so slowly, are sweet to Sukuna's ears. But it's not enough. Killing them didn't bring him the peace he hoped it would.
Sukuna knows there is only one place where he will feel better. By your side.
He hurries back to you, the tension leaving his strong body when he sees you sitting up where he left you, wrapped into his haori, hugging yourself and smiling at him. That sweet, warm smile that is always so full of affection.
Sukuna is by your side in a heartbeat, swooping you off the ground and into his arms, cradling you to his broad chest. You laugh, but he can still hear how shaken you are, and it almost breaks him. He feels sick. Sick at the thought of the pain and fear you had to endure. Sick at the thought of what almost happened. How he almost lost you forever.
Sukuna's arms tighten around you, his low voice rough and determined when he tells you,
"You're coming with me. Enough is enough. It isn't fitting for my lover to live out here in the woods anyway, and it surely isn't fitting for my future bride."
Your eyes widen at the word bride, but you smile softly at him, a small hand coming up to touch his chest, resting on his buff pectoral muscles,
"Alright, bring me to your temple until I fully recover. Maybe you can help me rebuild my hut afterward..."
Sukuna laughs gruffly as he presses a tender kiss to your blood-stained forehead. Even now, you so desperately want to stand on your own feet. But it's a small victory, at least. He can bring you to his home, take care of you, make sure you are wrapped in the softest silk, and eat the most nurturing meals to get you back to perfect health.
And who knows, maybe once you have seen the life Sukuna can offer you, you will finally let him have his way and keep you forever.
So Sukuna starts walking. He carries you all the way to his temple and smiles when he hears your soft gasp upon seeing its sheer size.
He tells Uraume to get clothes for you and everything else a woman might need.
"And make sure everything is of the finest quality. I only want the best for my betrothed."
Uraume raises a curious eyebrow at that but bows respectfully and replies with the usual politeness,
"Of course, Lord Sukuna. I will get the finest garments and items for your Lady."
You protest even in your weakened state, claiming that you don't need anything special and that you are used to living a simple life in the woods. But Sukuna just hums softly and carries you deeper into the temple.
"Oh, little one, I know you aren't here for my riches, but just let me spoil you a little bit, at least."
You sigh and snuggle against his naked chest, murmuring something about how good he is to you, and Sukuna can't help but make a strange noise, a low rumble deep in his chest, almost like a purr.
He carries you straight into his bedchamber. A place that is usually sacred to him. So private that no one is allowed in here apart from his loyal servant Uraume.
Sukuna gently lays you down on his bed, careful not to hurt you, gazing down at you with his four sapphire eyes full of love. Finally, the suffocating tightness in his chest vanishes, and Sukuna feels at ease again.
So far, Sukuna has only shared your small bed in your hut with you. But now you will share his bed with him, a huge bed the size of half your hut, with sheer endless silk pillows and luxurious sheets. No one else was ever allowed in here. But when it comes to you, all his former rules don't apply anymore.
Sukuna trusts you. And he wants you here. He wants to share his bed with you, wants to share his whole life with you.
You are his beloved, his woman, his bride.
Sukuna lets his eyes slowly travel over you. Your body is so small compared to his huge bed, but you look so comfortable, and your skin looks so beautiful against his red silken bedsheets. You meet his gaze, looking up at him with trust and love in your eyes. The way you always look at him, despite him being who he is and looking the way he does.
Sukuna smiles at you as he tenderly brushes the hair out of your face.
"Rest now, my love. You are safe here."
He sits on the side of the bed, watching you and petting your hair as you drift off to sleep.
Sukuna can't help but think that this is where you belong. In his temple. In his bed. He hopes you will stay forever. And if not, he will have to find ways to convince you. He will not risk losing you again.

Tell me more about yourself! What are some things new readers or long-time readers might not know about you?
I'm from Haiti, born and raised. I love red wine, ice cream, and I'm obsessed with true crime podcasts.
Can you tell me a bit about what youāre working on right now and your journey into interactive fiction? What inspired the game/story youāre currently writing?
I'm working on so many things it should be illegal for my brain to operate this way. But mainly, When Life Gives You Lemons. My plan is to focus on the final part in March, do some beta testing, and submit it to Hosted Games in April for my birthday month.
I'm also under contract with Heartās Choice, writing Spices of the Heart, with hopes of completing it this year. On top of that, Iām working on publishing my first visual novel, The Wedding. Itās close to completion, and I have the third quarter of 2025 planned for publication.
I only started writing interactive fiction in 2020. When the pandemic hit, I needed something to keep my brain occupied, and five years later, Iāve published three games and still have a ton of projects in progress.What mostly inspired Lemon in particular was the need for a feel-good storyāa story where the character just needs a break. No magic, no monsters, just going through life and having the romance options fall in love with them no matter what. It was just the need for comfort, for feel-good moments, for romance, and a little bit of drama.
How has your identity, heritage/background, upbringing, or personal experiences influenced your storytelling or writing process? OR How does your work feature aspects of your identity / experience?
My first game, The Midnight Saga, was heavily inspired by my background and where I'm from. The story itself is based on an old Haitian folklore about not staying outside after midnightāif you do, the Keeper of Midnight will eat you. I took that idea and built the characters around it.
I even managed to include some spells written in Haitian Creole. It was a lot of fun to write, and even though Book 2 is currently on hiatus, this story has a special place in my heart because it was my first game. The characters are a representation of my people and the struggles theyāve gone through. Iām really happy that it was my debut story.
What are some of the most rewarding or challenging aspects of writing Interactive Fiction for you?
For me, itās branching and being able to write an MC and other characters in a way that readers can truly connect with. Lately, Iāve been writing a lot of feel-good romance and slice-of-life stories, and Iām starting to feel like this is my comfort zoneāand I want to stay here forever.
I never want to create a romance option that is inherently bad or purposely deceitful. My biggest challenge is writing characters who are flawed and complexāwhere readers can love them or hate themābut making sure they arenāt just villains for the sake of it. Theyāre simply existing in the world they were created in.
What does your writing process look like? Any rituals or habits? Any tips, tricks, philosophies or approaches that have worked very well for you?
My writing process is a mess. My brain gets pulled in so many directions. When I get an idea, I have to code it, shape it, and give it lifeāotherwise, itās going to bug me forever. Thatās why I end up with so many WIPs. I need to see them through, at least to a short demo, to see if they make sense.
My desk is also full of notes, and I basically write on anythingāpieces of napkins, tissue boxes, whatever is nearby. One weird habit I have is that some of the best changes Iāve made to my games, those "spark" moments, happen when Iām in the shower. Itās weird and strange, but it works.
Whatāre you excited to tackle/implement/work on next? Or anything youāre looking forward to in the year ahead?
Keep writing romance and feel-good slice-of-life stories. Get When Life Gives You Lemons published this year. Focus on doing this full-time. Publish my visual novel.
Overall, just stay busy and be productive.
If you were to say one thing to your readers, other authors, and/or the interactive fiction community: what would it be?
To the readersāus authors donāt have all the answers. Sometimes, we start writing a story and end up forgetting certain plots or characters, which is easy to do when writing interactive fiction. So yes, we often write ourselves into a corner and just put a period there so the story can progress.
To the authorsāwrite stories you love, something you would want to read. It makes it easier to keep going because if itās a story you love, youāll want to see how it ends, and that will push you to persevere.

"You're biased and just hate Annabeth!!"
Recently, I've noticed posts criticizing anti-Percabeth shippers for being biased against Annabeth because we overlook Percy's mistakes. There's some truth to that.
We focus more on Annabeth's actions than Percy's because they're more impactful and harmful, at least that's me. That's not to say Percy is a saint because he's not. While I do see more criticism of Annabeth, I also see criticism of Percy, such as his passivity when Annabeth does something he dislikes or his lack of openness to her. Hell, a lot of anti-percabeth stans feel Percy is a shell of himself and don't like where he's heading. I also see them criticize how he treated Bob in Tartarus because he was manipulative and a dick. I'm sure there's a lot more to criticize him on.
Percy gets criticized as a character and his choices, but for percabeth, he's rarely the issue here.
To keep it short, let's ask ourselves:
Has Percy done ANY of the following to Annabeth?
Has he called her mean names, intending to bring her down, so he feels better about himself?
Did he demean Annabeth for not understanding something?
Did he crap over her accomplishments because others acknowledge her achievements, then get happy when she's being insulted and told she can't do anything without Percy's help?
Has he insulted her family members or friends?
Did he stalk her while she was changing and make excuses for it?
Did he yell and scream at her during stressful times, causing more stress?
Has he made her afraid of him to the point she expects to get hit or chewed out for getting something wrong, even if it's a little?
Has he hit, kicked, shoved, and body slammed her because she ANNOYED or ANGERED him? We're not talking about sparring. Has Percy put his hands on her because she did something he didn't like?
Has he shown a lack of appreciation when she does something kind because she can't afford to do something extravagant?
Has he made her plan everything and hold expectations while he sits on his ass, only to later judge her efforts???
Has he put her life at risk by shoving her into a dangerous situation with a dangerous god/goddess wanting to kill her, watching her getting her shit rocked, and when she asks for help, he sits on his ass and points to his "watch"? Did he do all of this, not knowing if she'll survive?
Has he tried to control her? Make her do something she doesn't like, or make her uncomfortable about interacting, or even think about others?
Has he brought up an ex in fucking Tartarus with the intention of making her uncomfortable?
Has he shamed her for using dark powers that literally saved their lives? Again, showing no gratitude.
Has he gossiped about her to a friend and let his friend paint her as an animal/monster that needs to be leashed?
Has he tried to guilt-trip Annabeth into doing things?
All of those are no.
But Annabeth has done them to Percy.
What's worse? She hasn't apologized. Not once.
Now do you understand why anti-percabeth stans don't like her or are critical of her? It's hard to like a character that's not only a bitch but a bitch that faces little to no consequences, on top of stans calling you 'sexist' for not kissing her feet and refusing to call their relationship the "golden standard".
Trying to shift blame onto Percy is annoying at best and scummy at worst. It's victim blaming. Yes, Percy has done some rude things, but that's nowhere near as horrific as what she did.
When I hear stans talk about her changing, part of changing is acknowledging WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. Being aware of your wrongdoings. Please list where she has apologized to Percy for being a cunt? Where does she realize she's being cruel and needs to change?
It's Percy who either apologizes or looks over what she did.
That's not changing or becoming better. That's sweeping your shit under the rug and hoping no one smells it. It's the victim trying to rationalize that what they're going through isn't terrible, and they need to "toughen up".
Yesterday, I saw a stan bashing a fanfic writer for writing Annabeth in a critical light. When the author gave evidence of how Annabeth mistreats him, not only did they ignore it, but they also bash Percy and blame him for things he didn't do or were out of his control.
And that's why I criticize her more. Her actions are more impactful and harmful than Percy's ever will be. The fact Percy EXPECTS her to hurt him is damaging enough. That's probably how fucking Sally feels with Gabe. If I do something wrong, he'll hurt me. Why the fuck can't this be considered the same or similar to Percabeth? Her intent to bring him down and hurt him because of her insecurities is why I voice my complaints, and when I got hardcore stans trying to OVERLOOK and DEFEND her actions, even blaming Percy, I can't help but scorn and bitch louder.
You stans want Percy to share the blame when he isn't required to. You want Annabeth to seem less bad and mean, and I am not okay with that. We should not lessen the blows she delivered. I get that some people can blow things out of proportion, but we have evidence that she's similar to Gabe and is just a nasty person.
Overall, it's not bad that one person gets more blame, especially when they're the ones causing the problems, and that someone is Annabeth Chase, and I won't stop being vocal about that.

Look Outside Curse Swap AU: AKA how I lost my god damn mind and didn't sleep for 24+ hours
Brace Yourselves
okay so a few days ago I had this idea were Sam after the Flawed Ritual Ending gained the ability to "condense" himself into a human form like Leigh.
I thought this was just going to be a cute idea that I may or may not post or do anything with. However, as I was going to bed my brain decided to flashbang me with this the second I was one foot into LaLa land.
Suddenly a fucking chain reaction happened in my brain where I tried to wrestle with the implications of Leigh as the protagonist and Sam as a shapeshifting monster that can be recruited. Not to mention the other major characters like who can easily trade places and who should remain the same and how being cursed or not cursed changes they're character, quest or role in story or gameplay.
Ultimately, I find this au would more interesting if it's just exploring how cursed characters and non-cursed characters would change if they weren't or were. Thus, any role switching that happens would be more based on the characters fitting different niches instead of being arbitrary personality swaps.
here's what I got so far with the characters that ended up directly trading places.
Leigh the Shopkeep <--> Sam the Timid Beast
A lot of people head cannon Leigh as someone who was frustrated with her job myself included. She would probably see the 15-days as a vacation she was woefully unprepared for and needing to go out to scavenge.
The chase encounter would be significantly easier as the beast would be fighting to regain control and can be easily scared off with a single molotov.
Immediately after this Leigh rediscovers her thrill-seeking side and chases after it only to be disappointed that the monster is replaced with some weird looking guy.
She eventually recruits Sam with the hopes of toughing him up so he could give her a real fight in the future. It also helps that she has a consol considering how Sam broke his and everything in his apartment during his transformation.
I'm not really sure how Leigh would work as a player character.
Sam on the other hand as an ally would have two forms. In his human form he would have support focused abilities but due to this ungainly form would have dogshit weapon aim and crit chance. In his cursed form he would be similar to Leighs cursed form in the base game I just haven't thought of any differences.
If Sam is left behind in the apartment, he would passively recruit ally's while Leigh's away for better or for worse.
Joel the Little Slugger <--> Sophie the Tangled Child
also Clint <--> Harriet
I am not happy with this drawling of human Joel.
Anyway, Joel would randomly knock on Leigh's door saying he was separated from his family in the parking garage after they tried to leave for a game before they knew what was happening. This also means that Clint would also be a door encounter asking if Leigh has seen his son.
However, Clint can also become cursed like Harriet in the original game and lure Joel out. Leigh would have to physically stop Joel from approaching or else Clint would eat Joel alive... yeah.
as an ally Joel would be a ranged biased fighter, pitching and batting baseballs at far enemies. He can retrieve the baseballs he uses and find more but only after combat.
Joels baseball theme is based on the hat in his bedroom and literally nothing else. The only sport he mentions that I can recall is football, but I don't think an 8 year old is going to be doing much ramming into a giant creature. It would be really funny if he still bites people, probably in a character interaction.
Sophie on the other hand is not going to have a good time.
a few days in Sophies and Harriet apartment would be broken open revealing that the interior is tangled with hair. Any furniture that is still visible is crushed beneath the tight wraps. You could find Sophie in her room hiding. What happened was Harriet accidently looked outside and became cursed. While struggling to maintain her sanity she ended up attacking Sophie and infecting her with the curse.
You could fight Harriet in the master bedroom which would be a tough fight because of her ability to constrict. Or you could bring Sophie with you and upon seeing her Harriet would briefly be brought to her senses and sorrowful for what she did lean down so she could be put down. If refused she would push everyone out of the apartment and seal the entrance.
As an ally Sophie would still be focused on applying debuffs on enemy's this time though she doesn't need to hide and has a skill that can apply constrict.
Sophies personality would differ greatly. She would still pull pranks on other characters like tying doors shut and placing tripwires to knock over things when people pass. But she would be significantly more withdrawn with most of her interactions being completely silent. Unlike Joel she doesn't use denial to cope so she is completely aware of the fact that she would probably never see her mother again.
Jesus I have been yapping for a while, so I'll just briefly go over the direct role swaps I'll probably talk about later.

There's a few things Midoriya knows with certainty, for starters his sister y/n loved Bakugou and Bakugou loved his sister. It all started way back in the early days when they had all rescued Bakugou from the league of villains.Ā They both caught Midoriya's eyes more, he watched the little glances, the holding, the jokes, cooking, interactions, they had turned into Midoriyaās secret little project.Ā
He saw Bakugouās softer side and saw y/nās stronger confident side. It thrilled Midoriya more and more. So once they graduated and finally announced to the group they were in fact dating, he couldnāt be more happy. His notebooks disappeared into the background. His case study was over.Ā
Midoriya didnāt know when it all fell apart, years had gone by, the couple were celebrating 10 years together. They lived together, had an agency together and were soon to get married, Then the article broke.Ā
IS THIS THE END TO JAPAN'S FAVOURITE HERO COUPLE?Ā
Midoriya could see it as plain as day, Bakugou was photographed kissing some new and upcoming hero inside the restaurant he had proposed to you in. The photos showed a story of hurt and betrayal, the next showed him leaving the restaurant with her tucked under his arm. The next he is confronted with y/n outside looking at them. The next is of y/n slapping Bakugou and then the next Bakugou all alone. The article goes into details of what had been heard of the argument outside. It followed on by telling the events of what happened since these photos. Of his sister resigning as a pro-hero, giving up on her dream.Ā
Many in the group tried to get the pair to talk, not just to each other but someone else. Even Kirishima couldnāt get Bakugou to talk about it, to explain himself. He would only explode them away, and if anyone said anything he would follow up with, āYou know nothing, donāt comment on something you have no idea about.āĀ
Midroiya couldnāt even get y/n to open up, the first few times to her house, she would not open the door and one of the last times when Midroiya got past the door the place was empty. Y/n simply hugged him, āI need to leave Zuzu, look out for him would you, donāt try to find me, Iāll be okay, I just need to get away, Iāll contact you.ā
Since that day, Midoriya has not seen you, the only way he knows that you are alive is for the birthday card he received each year and a postcard every now and again. He has 5 birthday cards from you, no return address. He knows youāre by the ocean though, as one year there was sand on his card by accident. To this day no one knows what happened, and what went wrong. Midoriya finds himself looking over all the old notebooks of your early days being together to look for signs that Bakugou could or would cheat. But he canāt find anything, this story makes no sense.Ā
Midoriya was at the hero commissions meeting with other heroes, debriefing for a huge case they were all working together on. Denki, Sero. Kirishima, Iida were all added to the team recently, whereas Bakugou and Midoriya had been working for months on this with their informant Stardust. There was an illegal fighting ring setup that was using quirk enhancers on small children and training them until they were teens and then making the fight to the death.Ā
Midoriya thought of you often and hoped one day you would return or that you have a family and have found happiness by the beach. Midoriya thinks of how Bakugou feels as he looks at him across the table, since you left he has not been with anything, his rating took a massive drop. Even was knocked out of the top10 by what had happened but over the 5 years he has fought his way back up to the top5. All the anger, hurt and disgust that was being thrown at him for what he did to y/n, he took it all, and never said a word back.Ā
āOkay team, weāre a go.ā Bakugou announced and stood up from the table leaving the room, the rest followed. As they left, Kirishima came bouncing over to Midoriya throwing an arm around him. āMan Bakugouās ever so uptight today huh?āĀ
āIsnāt he always like this Kirishima?ā
āWell, yes and no, today heās off you know, just thought I'd ask in case you knew of something, oh well, good to see you though Deku.ā Kirishima let him go and left the room.Ā

Within the hour all heroes descended upon the hideout, they had broken through the barricade and some off the team pulled back to hero the police to make arrests. Denki, Kirishima, Bakugou and Midoriya all pushed on forward, finding a stairway to the basements Bakugou tried the door but it was locked. Pulling at the door like a mad man, cursing and eventually exploding it the three looked at each other, āJeez man, calm down.ā Denki says, and goes to put a hand on Bakugouās shoulder which he dodges, āDONāT TELL ME TO CALM DOWN.āĀ
Midoriyaās earpiece went off, informing him that all the kids had been found and accounted for and everyone was being called back, he told the group. Bakugou took one look at Midoriya and bolted down the stairs. Everyone ran after him, āCome on man, we have to turn back, we have orders.ā Kirishima called after him. āFuck the order, we need to get stardust, we promised.ā Bakugou shouted. āStardust? Whoās stardust?ā Denki shouts, trying to catch up.
Ā āThe informated, but we donāt know theyāre here though Kat.ā Midoriya shouts, Bakugou comes to a quick stop and looks Midoriya dead straight into the eyes, heās not seen this frantic, scared side before but knows he must help his friend. āOkay come on guys, letās get them.ā Midoriya says and takes off running.Ā
Coming to the end of the hall, and another locked door. Bakugou takes no time to explode and fall into the room. Midoriya steps in after Bakugou, and all he sees is his friend throwing himself around someone, and pulling them into a hug. The sounds of two people crying fills the room, Denki, Kirishima and Midoriya all just stand awkwardly looking at the two not really sure as to what is happening. The pair pull away from each other slightly, Bakugou reaching for something hidden within his uniform, he pulls a chain out from around his neck and a gold ring shines against the dull lights. The person's hand is held out and the ring placed on their finger. Bakugou looks over his shoulder at the heroes and says something to the person who peers out around Bakugou.Ā
It's his sister, itās y/n. Midoriya is frozen, tears in his eyes and takes a step forward. Your eyes meet his and you start to cry again. Bakugou stands and helps you up too. Youāve changed, your hair is a different colour, your skin more pale, the clothes on your body are all but falling off.Ā
Midoriya takes a step towards you, but Kirishims stops him. āWhat the hell is going on, y/n youāre working for these villains scum now? WHAT HAPPENED! GUYS GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HERā He shouted, Bakugou stepped in front of you. āWatch HOW YOU SPEAK TO MY WIFE EIJIROU.āĀ
āYOUR WIFE, SINCE WHEN.ā Denki chimes in.Ā
āWe never split up, I never cheated,Ā Y/n has been our informant, and we got married in secret.ā Bakugou says and takes your hand in his. āIām really sorry Zuzu, Kiri, denks, I didn't have a choice, the kids needed help.ā You say.Ā
Everyone takes a breath, and Kirishima starts to cry. āI'M SO HAPPY YOUR MARRIED AND BROSKI ISN'T A CHEATER, CAUSE THATāS REALLY NOT MANLY.ā the redhead makes his way over to the two and wraps them up in a hug. Bakugou pushes him off them, and as soon as itās clear Midoriya wraps his arms around his sister. āThank god you're okay,ā He whispers to you, āBack at you freckles.ā You say, hugging him tight.Ā

(DISCLAIMER: This is about the CHARACTERS they play in these videos. Chester and parker the IDEAS, NOT the people.)
Chester and Parker.. the best creature ghost insect hunters on the west side.. but some might not realize that when they're not hunting ghosts.. they're hunting each other... romantically i mean..
Before I give my two senses.. I'm gonna throw out some evidence of their homosexuality, in case you all were busy pissing your pants about the monsters to realize
EVIDENCE 1: HES SEEN THEM SHARING THAT BED
Look.. I GET IT.. the words that chad used to describe women were frankly.. DISGUSTING.. but he was gonna have a bitch over, which is something that parker nor chester would ever.
The episode with chad is one of the few that recognize the ongoing sharing of the bed between the two. Chad calls the two out saying.. and i quote..
"you guys are gay... GAY!! GAY GAY HOMOSEXUAL GAY!!"- Chad
Some may say that its just because there's only ONE bed available.. and if you say that you're STUPID. DUMB EVEN. When there has been two beds, chester has went OUT of his way to FIX IT and so he could share a bed with parker. If you don't believe in gay people.. you'll believe after you see THESE..:
When the two had personal beds, chester said "damn.. its just not the same.. do you think we could push them together??" and parker replied, "dude... no...". Chester went on to do it anyways.
another situation of there being two beds and chester not being happy about it was when he CLAIMED that the bed was absolutely SOAKED with piss. Honestly im kind of convinced by how he said it.. sounded very genuine but.. i dont see any pee.. parker went on to say he wouldn't share the bed with chester but OH LOOK WHO GOT HIS WAY
i know what you're saying... "sharing a bed between friends is normal" well this is just the beginning..
EVIDENCE 2: INTERACTIONS WITH WOMEN
the look parker gives chester after he talks to a woman
Even though it seems that most of the time parker is just trying to get with the women he's trying to save, he's oddly pretty disgusted a good amount of the time that chester is messaging this girl. i mean COME ON in this one it looks like hes gonna cry
parker is absolutely NOT on the idea of chester getting a girlfriend and hes even more mad when he finds out that chester was using HIS PHOTOS for the dating app.. also why did chester use a photo of parker sleeping in that one kinda... odd if you ask me..
but then its revealed that for SOME reason chester is trying to get parker with this girl and so he drops their home address in their text messages, as you do. When parker sees this girl in REAL LIFE he does actually seem interested. he looks joyous..
but then when the girl actually wants to SPEND TIME WITH PARKER... ALONE... just them... without... chester.. he panicks. It makes it seem like that chester thought the girlfriend would just be for the video and nothing else. When he realizes that its just not for the 20 minute video and parker actually CARES for this girl.. he is distraught
Chester gets so jealous of the fact that he invades the womans purse which IS A CRIME. Chester finds IDS of other men shes been with and rushes upstairs to tell parker. When he sees them sitting together he acts confused and he asks why parker would ever do such a thing. After parker asks why Chester committed a crime, he locks him OUT of the room.. The entire video chester keeps on saying "this girl is TROUBLE PARKER!! shes SUSPICIOUS!!" even before he found any evidence to think that of her.
Chester then went on to stick his camera under the door frame under the bathroom because.. as we know he does NOT TRUST this girl
Parker is reasonably upset at this and calls chester out for being a SICK FREAK, and he asks chester why he doesnt want him to be happy with this girl, to which chester spits and sputters, since he never thought he came off that way
main point of the video chester is jealous and saying that this woman REEKS and SUCKS, which i feel like if the woman WASNT a monster he would've been locked up after this episode.
another episode with the same gimmick but the woman is into chester goes about how you think it would. Chester is extremely uncomfortable. Its like the exact opposite, where parker and the girl hits it off in the first one with chester uncomfortable, to where the girl is kind of insulting chester and chester isn't into it and parkers trying to be a wingman until he's freaked out by her
She may be insulting chester but.. atleast shes impressed by the chairs thats all you really need in a significant other
Chester is also really obsessed with her taking off her shoes in the house because he doesnt want her to bring MUD into his home or something
The entire time shes just using chester and she took chester's car keys and just DROVE OFF, and then when she wakes up and just starts BREAKING PLATES IN THEIR HOME. The two seem to get more scared than any other monster they've had to put up with and the thing is.. SHES NOT A MONSTER.. SHES JUST SOMEONE THAT CAME INTO THEIR HOME, BORROWED THEIR CAR AND BROKE THEIR FINE CHINA... unforgivable..
Main point of this section.. I'm pretty sure chester doesnt like girls..
EVIDENCE 3: THE CLONE
Alright.. I dont even need to ask i KNOW that you're convinced that chester loves parker.. but the other way around...? Well.. I think I got just the thing..
The second clone episode of Luxury Dark.. lets just say.. it was very eye opening,,
This isnt the main point of this section but at the beginning chester DOES throw out the idea that they should make the clone a child of the two of them, to which parker shoots down
When they finally decide on The Perfect Clone, the description states that the clone is not needed to be teached and that "it will already behave like you"
When they get this clone, it CANT STOP gassing chester up and saying everything that chester wants to hear.
Now you may just think "Well the clone is just manipulating him.." WRONGO ROUND EYES. I believe that the clone is just openly saying parker's inner feelings about chester.. You may think its a stretch.. but you wont after this NEVER BEFORE SEEN CUT DIALOGUE.
Got nothing more to say, do you? Thats what i thought.. don't doubt me..
CONCLUSION:
Maybe the scariest monster were the umm were the... uhh... i'm not sure.. YAOI: 9/10

Ok so I see a lot of people who don't understand the point of ellabs (EllieXAbby) and I want to attempt to explain why because why not.
The thing is, they donāt know each other.Ā
By the time they interact in any part II post canon fic, itās theirĀ first real interaction after deciding to change. Granted, Abby had already begun changing earlier (sheās the one who refused to initiate a fight after the Rattlers and let Ellie and Dina live at the theatre), but by the time they stop fighting in the Pacific ocean,Ā EllieĀ has now also chosen to change (give up revenge, which has given her nothing in return so far and doesn't make her feel better. Abby already knows that, because she killed Joel a while ago and has already realized revenge doesn't help).
So now, theyāre effectively new people, trying on new skins and personalities while standing beside someone who hasĀ seenĀ them at their absolute lowest (Abby torturing and killing Joel is Ellie and Abby's first interaction. And then in Seattle, Ellie picks off all of Abby's friends but that's the first time Abby really sees who Ellie is as a person.)
The level of vulnerability here is insane : fear of judgment, fear of being seen as fake, fear that the new versions of themselves mightĀ stillĀ be awful and that the other might call them out on their bullshit or worse, expose them. Theyāre both projecting who theyĀ wantĀ to be now onto Lev because heās the only unbiased person left. Heās a child, but he also doesnāt know their complicated past. He's also someone Abby already connected with (she's been with him for over a year now and they likely have developed a strong friendship, meanwhile Ellie raised JJ who I'm pretty sure is a huge reason why Ellie didn't fully spiral upon returning: he gave her something to do and look out for).
And so Ellie and Abby perceive each other through two conflicting lenses simultaneously:Ā the monster the other knows me to beĀ vs.Ā the person Iām trying to become now.
And thatās why Ellabs is such an interesting ship to explore.
Itās about the reinvention of self and the deconstruction of old beliefs in the presence of someone deeply traumatized by those very beliefs.
WeĀ knowĀ Abby and Ellieās character archetypes. Weāve seen gruff Joel slowly break through Ellieās walls (and vice versa), so weāre subconsciously aware that, under different circumstances, Ellie and Abby wouldĀ likelyĀ get along, since Abby is also a version of Joel (as we have seen through basically 95% of Abby's actions, Joel's murder notwithstanding).
WeĀ knowĀ this shift is possible because we've literally just seen it happen: Abby abandoned her loyalty to the WLF to help the Seraphite kids, despite owing Isaac everything (Isaac gave her a team and resources to go achieve her unique goal of murdering a guy, which was all Abby cared about). We also know Ellie is now utterly alone (Dina broke up with her, there's not returning to the farm to find a happy family. Dina tells her she's not doing this again, which is actually funny because it's also what Abby says at the beach. Ellie's quest for revenge lasts longer than everyone else's in the game. She is the LAST one to change), desperate for either death or something new to care about. Sheād never bend forĀ Abby, but Lev--an innocent kid who showed herĀ mercyĀ (stopping Abby from killing her and Dina in the theater)--could make her stick around. Heās untainted. She also feels gratitude; without Lev, she and Dina would be dead.
This also means Ellie realizes Abby has changed.Ā The woman who brutalized Joel with a golf club (yet spared her and Tommy) is now restrained by Levās influence (re: theatre scene, where he stops her from killing Dina by calling out her name). Ellie knows Abby is not as ruthless as the act of killing Joel made her seem: Levās stayed with her for over a year, and Abby clearly cares for him deeply. This likely also sends Ellie back to her failure as a "mom". Abby stuck with Lev, who's a kid and therefore a "burden", when Ellie hurt Dina when she confessed in the theatre, AND THEN LEFT THEM. I think unconsciously this is a big blow to Ellie who can't help be see the ways Abby did "better" than her.
Also, Abby knows Ellie isnāt a heartless monster. Yes, Ellie murdered all of her friends, but she also confessed and basically sacrificed herself to save Tommy, which is proof she operates by a code. Militia logic dictates that codes matter. Yet Ellieās violence also shows sheāll slaughter those outside her tribe without hesitation (Abby and surrounding people are not her tribe by that point).
Abby also witnesses what she thinks is Ellieās mercy when Ellie cuts her down to save Lev. That's why she says "there are boats".Ā Sheās offering an olive branch after (mis)realizing Ellie extended one first.
Then again, I donāt think Ellie waited for Abby to set Lev on the boat to act. She followed because she hadĀ no ideaĀ what to do next. She traveled for months to avenge Joel, only to confront the reality that Abby isnāt the immoral monster she imagined--just a human who suffers like everyone else. Seeing her so emaciated is catapulting Abby out of monster realm and into human one in Ellieās mind.
And Ellie, as we know, is not a psychopath; her violence isnāt for fun. Sheās shaken by Abbyās state and only realizes last-minute (she turns her back on Abby, she looks pensive, she could let Abby go) that sparing her meansĀ all of this was for nothing--the one thing Ellie canāt accept. She desperately wants all of this to have been for something. Joel butchered dozens of people to save her. Then Abby tracked and killed him. Then Ellie killed Abby's friends and had to confront her own violence, then her own selfishness by going after Abby instead of staying with her family. If she lets Abby go, then this will have been for nothing.
And now they are stuck together, having gone through all these changes and completely unmoored by the other's action, and then saved by them.
Thatās why forced post-canon proximity is so compelling: you take two people bound by hatred and explore how long it takes for their biases to crumble. It's about showing a person who knows you a certain way you aren't that way anymore. They could do this with anyone else, but it would be less interesting, because one of the major appeal of the ship is the forgiveness aspect. Both of each other and of themselves. They cannot do that part without the other.
Thatās the interesting part. Finding meaning after losing everything.

Last song: At the moment, I have "Losing Your Memory" by Alan Star stuck in my head, which I suppose makes it my current song, not my last song. Hm. I get songs stuck in my head very easily, but the last one I had there for a significant amount of time was a mashup of different language versions of "Les Rois du Monde" for about a week. "Lehetsz KirƔly", the Magyar version, is probably my favorite of them. It's worth a listen.
Currently watching: Normally, the answer would be "random mostly terrible old movies/shows" or "nothing much", but I currently have a hyperfixation on the musical RomƩo et Juliette and have been watching it in multiple languages. (Thus, the song).
Three ships: This is hard. Maybe as a result of being on the ace and aro spectrums, I'm more likely to care about which characters are interacting than whether it's romantic or platonic. Here goes:
Kedivere/Bedikay. It can be romantic, platonic, or queerplatonic, but whichever way, I'm here for it. I probably spend too much time thinking about how in Cullwch and Olwen, when Cai gets mad at Arthur and marches out, Bedwyr stays behind, keeps acting like nothing's happened, and isn't the one to avenge Cai's death. The feeling of betrayal on both sides has a lot of unexplored potential. And the version where Bedivere dies and Kay fights to bring his body back safely while mortally wounded himself... And the version where Bedivere survives Camlann and Kay isn't said to fight in it, so they might be left together after their world has fallen apart...
Platonically or queerplatonically, Galahad and the Grail Heroine. I really like the tragic Grail Quest friendships, but I like theirs most, maybe because there's something weird and otherworldly about them both. I like it when characters are strange and endearing and doomed by the narrative.
Ever since reading John Matthews' retelling, which I read before the original, I've had a soft spot for Caradoc and Guinier. The Story of Caradoc is very disturbing, and I have some major qualms with Caradoc over a detail Matthews cut out, but all the same, there's a reason these two have the best track record with magical fidelity tests. Each of them would go to the ends of the earth for the other, and together, they're stronger than any curse.
Favorite Color: Blue, particularly royal blue and some teals.
Currently consuming: Black licorice with chocolate.
First ship: This is a hard one, since through elementary and most of middle school, I tended to go along with whatever I thought the author's intentions were and was more likely to unship something. The first non-endgame ship I got invested in was Sonya/Nikolai in War and Peace. I didn't like Nikolai, but Sonya did, and she was my favorite character, so I wanted her to be happy. The first non-canon couple I thought was meant to be together was also in War and Peace: Marya Bolkonskaya and Julie Karagina. My eighth grade self did not think their letters could be interpreted platonically. I still don't.
Last movie: If the musical doesn't count, the last movie I watched was Quest for Camelot, which was awful. Though not Robot Monster-level bad, Robot Monster has an elegance to its simplicity which Quest for Camelot lacks.
Currently working on: Various fics, most of them Arthuriana or CotRK-related (I am woefully behind on the Badfic Bingo), and (theoretically) an epic-style poem, though I haven't gotten much of it written for quite a while now.

Costume Meta 812 Disconnected
Ok so this wouldāve been out a couple of days ago if it hadnāt been a super busy week at work and if a certain something relating to Bobby hadnāt distracted me so this didnāt get finished! Itās also a monster post - I got very carried away with colour theory - but itās all done now - in the Knick of time before 813 starts - so lets dive in!
I will be focusing on costumes, but there will be quite a bit of set stuff in this meta because it is relevant as it interacts with the costumes, but also because yellow and blue colour theory really was out in full force in this episode which made me so very happy! We also had red and blue colour theory playing out as well in the first Buck and Eddie video call - but weāll get to that in a little bit.Ā
Letās start with orange and brown colour theming - the two colours I have spoken about in a lot of my other metas as being the overall colour theme for the season. Here in this episode we get a lot of orange and brown cropping up - especially in connection with Eddie. Most noticable is the amount of brown Eddie is wearing and the journey it goes on through the episode - both in terms of quantity of it, and also in terms of shade!
We see the first brown Eddie is wearing on his yellow ochre cream and brown plaid shirtĀ - the cream and yellow ochre are the more dominant colours, but the Brown is there. After that the next time we see Eddie wearing brown, it is again at theĀ Diaz house. In fact at the Diaz house, we only see Eddie in shades of brown. The rest is below the cut to save your dash!
I have to say I love Ryans answer to the question about Eddies costumes for this episode. As a costumer itās always great when you have an actor who is invested in what their character is wearing, how they wear it and why they are wearing a certain item. It makes the process collaborative and so much easier - you can really get to know what that actor is seeing in the script and how they are intending to play each scene - what their read on where the character is at and where they are going. Ryan talking about Eddie wearing different clothing in El Paso and how he wanted that to be a thing that we could see is exactly right - it is likely what ABP and her team were intending on doing to some extent, but Ryan specifically stating that he felt that should be the case makes it clear that he too is viewing Eddie as reverting and trying to fit himself back into that mould he broke free of. And the fact that we see the El Paso Eddie most clearly in the costuming when he is around his parents and when he is selling his car makes it even clearer where they are going with their intentions when it comes to costuming, and costuming Eddie in particular in this episode. More on that a bit later!
With the idea of Texas Eddie being different from LA Eddie firmly in mind, lets start with the costumes he wears when interacting with Helena and Ramon. This shirt with the yellow ochre is the brightest of all his outfits for the episode (technically the white tee is brighter, but the grey hoodie tones that outfit down making this one brighter!) and its interesting that we see it as his second outfit - at a point when he is still full of hope and optimism about reconnecting with Chris and the move being a good thing. This is Eddie in the closest colouring to yellow that weāve seen him in a long time - itās Eddie closest to his truest self - but even that is at cross purposes because of the check patterning - indicating that its not going to go well for him. In this scene heās full of hope at beginning to reconnect with Chris and he is hopeful of the job at the firehouse and that having his own place will encourage Chris to move back in with him. After this - when the ps5 doesnāt work in getting Chris back to him and we see his parents undermining him at every turn, his colours mute and become dull and actually drain Eddie of colour as they are not a great choice for him tonally.
Which is exactly what we see with the final Diaz family scene which mirrors the first. This shirt, it is a much darker and more muted toned shirt - where before the yellow ochre and cream were the more dominant colours, here we have the brown being dominant with the beige and green taking a back seat. Itās a reversal of the ochre shirt in the same way that this scene is a reversal of the first scene. Where the brighter colours and lighter tone was indicative of Eddies hope and joy at being reconnected with his son and the possibility of a firefighting job - making him feel like he had stability and that he was succeeding, the darkening and more muted tone of this shirt is indicative of the impact his parents are having on him, and the fact that none of his hopes around his move to El Paso appear to be coming to fruition. The check pattern is indicating that what is happening in that scene is important and will come into play shortly and its also the first time we see Eddie in green toning in this episode - playing into the idea that the army version of Eddie is creeping back in - weāve barely seen Eddie in green in seasons 7 or 8 - compared with how often we used to see him in it. In fact the only time weāve actually seen him in green in the past two seasons have been in scenes that have played into that idea of a battle or conflict of some kind. For example - Eddie is in green in 704 when he arrives at the hangar, or heās in green when heās out on the boating lake with Kim, or when heās trying to sublet his house - all scenes that are part of a building conflict within Eddies life.
So to have green appearing here is all about that thread of conflict starting to creep in. If that is meant to be the conflict we get with Chris discovering heās not a firefighter but an uber driver (which is more an internal conflict) or if its about establishing the up coming conflict with his parents - Mom - remains to be seen - my feeling is its likely to be about both as they are likely connected. He is also not wearing his watch at this point either - which I will come back to in a moment.
In the middle of this we have this burgundy shirt - which is very brown toned. There is no check here, so its not about establishing check theory - although Ramon then takes up that check theory mantle and wears check is shirt is interesting to me and not only because it almost matches the mug! It looked much more maroon toned in the stills we got, but seeing it on screen, it is definitely more burgundy. Burgundy is a colour that is meant to represent power and sophistication. But it is also a colour that is connected to being prideful, introspection, being reserved and compassionate but also being a control freak. It also ties into the colouring I spoke about in my stills drop meta about the Diaz kitchen in 517. In that meta (read it here) I spoke about the darker red centred around Ramon being a symbol of poor health, while the brighter red in that scene surrounding Eddie was about him being in a healthier place, and that it was a symbol of Ramon missing out on things - on time and is what weāre kind of seeing in play here - this is Eddie not in a great place - his life is not going how heād hoped - heās struggling with connecting with Chris, heās not a firefighter and he thinks thatās the only thing that Chris has ever been proud of him for so heās failed there, heās actively lying again and the job he has got is not going well and he had to give up the truck as part of that and he is having to let his parents provide for Chirs even further as he doesnāt have money coming in. He is also dealing with them undermining him, so itās a symbol of everything compounding on him. To further add to this - he is not wearing his new blue strap watch - a symbol of the life he has left behind in LA (as itās a firefighter watch). The fact that this scene and the brown check shirt scene are both missing the watch is pretty revealing. If you look at all the Eddie scenes across the episode you can see the watch in all of them, except these two - the two scenes when Eddie is at his lowest and feels like the biggest failure, when he isnāt having any success in anything - including getting to hear his son actually ask for his opinion on something he wants to do. Eddie feels like he is against the clock ans we actively see him missing out on something he came back to El Paso to try and do - parent his son. He has placed importance on being able to financially provide for Chris and heās failing at doing that and then he is asleep and so misses Chris actively choosing to include him in his life and weigh in on an decision. The watch returns the moment Eddie starts making money - when he is able to provide in a financial way for Chris again - he has time once more.
Itās also one of the few times we see his hair not in his Texas helmet hairstyle around his parents - which to me feels like its about showing him as the not put together Eddie heās trying to portray to his parents - when heās asking for his parents to cover chess club fees because heās not yet making any money as uber Eddie - its about showing us that his parents are seeing Eddie as a failure in that moment.
The other scene we have at the Diaz family home is on the couch when he is handing a computer game to Chris. I will talk about the insane amount of yellow and blue in this scene later on, but for now, weāre looking at costumes. You can see yet more check on Ramon in this scene, while Chris is in horizontal stripes - in yellow ochre and brown. Helena is in pale pink and white vertical stripes, while Eddie is in a solid black Henley and back to wearing his new watch - like I said above - he has time on the parenting clock once more.
In many ways the black Henley is a symbol of both Texas and LA Eddie - we see him wearing Henleyās of multiple colours in both environments in the show. Black ones however seem to be heavily attached to scenes that lead into issues - most of which surround Chris.
As a very quick rundown of when he wears a black Henley we have stolen money interrogation in 215 (which is attached to the flashbacks of arguments with Shannon about Chrisās surfing lessons and money), Eddie picking up Chris after Shannons death in 217, and in 218 when Bobby returns to the firehouse but Buck is still not there and Eddie makes his āalmostā comment about things being back to normal. Then we donāt see another one until Eddie takes in Hoover in 605, in 609 when he is playing computer games when Buck tells everyone he has successfully helped to create life, in 614 at Pepaās house when she is setting Eddie up on a blind date, which ultimately leads to him dating Marisol, and finally in 701 When Buck talks to Chris about dating and Eddie then gives Chris the letter Shannon wrote for him.
As I hope you can see, most - but not all - are connected to Chris is some way - the only ones I would say arenāt directly connected to Chris are the 218 one at the firehouse and the sperm donor one in 609 - although it is connected into the concept of fatherhood - and that is what I think the black Henley means on Eddie - its about Eddie as a father and his ability to be able to provide for his son being called into question in some way - financially or through the provision of a second parental figure - either Shannon as Chrisās actual mother, or through the family expectation that a mother figure should exist in some way - which is then technically connected back to Shannon because Marisol is caught up in the Kim of it all (that part of this is technically a retcon as the Marisol of it all and the subsequent bringing back of Shannon within that arc wouldnāt have been known when the 614 scene was shot). The thing with all these scenes is that they precede issues of varying degrees treat Eddie encounters as a father.
Here in this scene we have Eddie able to provide for his son - financially - but Helena is still subtly calling him out and we know that he is lying about his income source at this point in time and that this lie is going to get discovered - itās preceding the issue he is about to face of Chris discovering him in another lie.
We see Eddie in this episode wearing blue a couple of times, the first time we have the blue Eddie is as we open the episode with him at the 270 El Paso firehouse. Eddie is wearing what is effectively a blue check version of a firefighters uniform - navy trousers, black shoes and a blue shirt, even down to the belt with the square silver buckle imitating a firefighter belt. Eddie is also wearing his firefighter watch - adding further to the blue on blue of this costume. The shirt is a navy check over a lighter blue background, which is obviously not fully replicating a fire fighters uniform shirt, but it is about playing into check theory - that its Eddie at a crossroads and that things are not likely to go well for him at the firehouse in this episode (the dialogue is suggestive that the hiring freeze will end and heāll get to become a firefighter again, but that he will also fulfill the captains fears and leave - when LA tugs at him and pulls him back) - but the use of all blue is really about pushing the narrative of Eddie identifying himself as a firefighter. Itās check theory establishing the fact that Eddie has relied on that identity as a firefighter in the same way he did with his identity as a soldier. Itās telling us that Eddie isnāt going to be able to identify himself through that route anymore - itās about stripping that part of him away in the same way they removed his identity as a father. This is the deconstruction of Eddie in costume - giving a nod to his past (for now) career as a firefighter, whilst also setting him up as a wearer of check as he becomes āmore Texasā and essentially reverts back to pre LA Eddie - the one we saw in 315.
Then we see him in his new home in a short sleeved blue Henley with khaki green trousers. This costume was perhaps the most interesting choice in the entire episode to me and becasue even more so after Ryans interview answer about Eddies style changing in Texas. Becasue this costume is the one that most loudly speaks of Eddies style in LA - and it really helps to showcase the duality of Eddie in this moment - something his costumes across the entire episode play into. Around his parents - at their house specifically - and in that opening scene at the firehouse, we get a lot of check and a lot of clear nods to Texas Eddie. While in other scenes - when heās talking to Buck and therefore connected in to LA, or in the last scene when he reconnects with Chris, we see his costumes closer to his LA style. You can see this style most clearly in his first video call with Buck - heās just found out he hasnāt got a job at the firehouse in El Paso and is contemplating a return to LA so he can at least keep on providing for Chris.
The blue is a greyish blue and has that muted tone to it I spoke about earlier, but it is very much an outfit I would associate with LA Eddie and its doing multiple things in this scene, its connecting him into LA yes, but a part of that is showing where he actually belongs - the fact heās wearing it when the El Paso captain calls to tell him about the hiring freeze is about the fact that part of him is still in LA - but it also connects him into being a firefighter because Eddie doesnāt wear blue that often - he does wear it, but its infrequent in his non uniform attire. Itās also about connecting him to Buck in two ways, firstly the few times we do see him in blue outside of his uniform, it is nearly always connected to Buck in some way - think Poker date, or the conversation about his dad in Chrisās room in Hero complex or when heās telling him about the will or asking Buck for Help with Chris when he wonāt come out of his room. And secondly, by having them both in blue for this scene and then also having them both connected into red - Bucks apron being the same maroon red as the chair Eddie sits in. Both aspects of this connection to Buck are about showing the depth of the our connection and also about Eddie listening to and hearing Buck - which is also something we see in those other scenes when Eddie wears blue.
The other thing its doing is telling us that when Eddie is alone - when heās isnāt performing in any way, he reverts to wearing what he would wear in LA - that is his true style and true self. The show is literally showing us who Eddie is - at a moment when heās had everything he holds as his identity stripped away from him (just like heās stripping off that wallpaper I will get to in a minute!) - he isnāt a firefighter and he isnāt a father (in this moment as Chris is still not back with him and Eddie is feeling that divide) - the two things he has put at the centre of who he is and all he is left with is the parts of himself he hasnāt considered part of his identity - LA and Buck - its about that red string of fate connecting Eddie to those two things. That is why we have the red armchair in use here and why they have changed out Bucks usual firehouse apron for the maroon one. (I am going to point out that Buck is seemingly working on a salad at he firehouse - if you want to add it into salad theory then feel free to do soš)
We also have the blue of the denim shirt. This outfit mirrors the one from the above scene - the blue and khaki combo - but a more Texas version. Iāve already written a lot about this outfit in my pre episode meta - and I stand by a lot of what I said about the repeat outfit of it and how it is connected into the concept of family and being on the right path, but also how it is connected to breaking free. I wanted to see the scene in full before I committed to anything solid around Shannon and Eddies grief and while we didnāt get anything explicit in the scene around Shannon - Eddies difficulty and sadness over giving up the Denali really does play into that concept of it being tied to Shannon and his grief and of letting her go. The reason I say this is because up to this point he hasnāt had much luck in connecting with Chris and things are not looking great for him, but in getting rid of the truck he does actually start to make progress and even though he lies about his job, he is able to salvage things with Chris - he owns up to his lying -thanks to Buck stopping his spiral and prompting him into making contact and actually pushing a bit - something he hasnāt done up to this point (that weāve been shown) and his doing so bears fruit and he gets to reconnect with Chris - the act of letting go of the truck (and also his conviction that being a firefighter is the only thing Chris is proud of him for) symbolically is Eddie letting go of the last piece of his old life and that final piece being gone essentially frees Chris from the burden of it as well. I donāt know how much the show is going to show Chris and Eddie rebuilding their relationship from here - or if it will contain much angst (my feeling is that it wonāt - that the angst will come from the Helena and Ramon side of things in Texas - but I do know that theyāve effectively cleared that final hurdle and that Chris and Eddie will just be seen rebuilding their relationship into something new before they return to LA. The key scene link with this outfit is the one from Eddie begins - it sets this costume as Texas Eddie, but it also connects into a scene where Eddie and Chris bond and begin to forge a new relationship - after his fight with his parents. The fight hasnāt happened yet but this outfit marks the same point in Eddie and Chrisās relationship as it did in Eddie begins - the actual beginning - when they were actually on the same page and able to connect - in a period after Shannon had left (the car representing Shannon leaving in this 812 scene).
A slight detour from costumes so that I can talk about Yellow and blue colour theory and its insane levels and use in this episode! I have already mentioned it a couple of times above and I did speak about it at length in my pre episode meta as well, but now I have seen the full extent of the car lot, and seen more of Eddies house and the make up of those scenes, I have a lot to say!
Car lot first - soooooo much yellow - like an insane amount of yellow as you can see in the picture above and below - Eddie is literally surrounded by it. There is also a lot of blue there as well in the scene - itās just not visible in these screen grabs - but it is in the stills.
The Diaz parents house - which Iāve spoken about at length is also heavily coded yellow and blue - you can see the couch in the picture I included earlier, but below you can see a wide overhead shot which really highlights just how much blue and especially yellow there is. Weāre set up for Eddies arc of self discovery and now he has regained some grasp on fatherhood - we will be able to watch him continue to dismantle himself through his fixer upper and then build the new version of Eddie - but weāre still in the deconstruction part right now (more on that in a minute!) Itās no coincidence that the entirety of the Diaz parented house is yellow and blue coded. The screen grab of the wider high up angle shots we got show us the blue and yellow of it all - itās essentially queer coding Eddies childhood in my eyes - the house being multiple shades of yellow and it being on the walls, while the blue is more there in scent form - chairs and curtains or dish towels. Yellow is Eddies colour and there was no reason for them to have gone that heavy on the yellow and blue coding in this episode around Eddie (espeically when you consider the madney scenes are heavily red coded!) in his parents house if it wasnāt about playing on the yellow and blue colour theory. They could have chosen any colour combination to decorate Helena and Ramonās house but they chose these colours because Eddie is the main character here and Helena and Ramon are essentially plot devices - there to serve Eddies storyline and therefore their home is there to serve that same narrative, hence why it is colour coded for Eddie.
Iāve gone on and on about how yellow and blue colour coding in media is about queer coding - how it stems from the Wizard of Oz and the āfriend of Dorothyā being code for being gay and how it really found its feet during the Hayes code era, but how it has essentially become shorthand for queer subtext when it was still taboo for queer narratives to be told and how that has then transferred into actual queer media as an indicator of it being queer media (Heartstopper, RWRB, love Simon, stranger things, Mary and George etc etc all using the colour theory as part of the visual narrative), so to have Eddies childhood home (we assume - its certainly implied in Hero complex to be the case) so heavily yellow and blue coded (yellow especially) is suggestive that Eddies queer arc is going to stem from his childhood. Espeically as like I said in my pre episode meta - the yellow and blue is much more heavily surrounding Eddie than others in those scenes - look at Chris and Ramon on the yellow couch while Eddie is on the armchair - the room is yellow dominant - the darker yellow walls, the yellow of the couch and armchair themselves. But while the couch throw cushions are brown toned the throw cushion on the armchair is blue - subtly placing Eddie in the yellow/blue colouring while Chris and Ramon are yellow/ brown coded. Even Ramons blue check shirt is helping surround Eddie in the yellow and blue as he reaches over to hand Chris a computer game.
At the dining table during the scenes set there, the yellow walls and blue curtains are much more heavily surrounding Eddie compared with anyone else. Ramon and Chris have a lot more of the white of the cupboards or the nets at the windows in their backgrounds, and in the case of Helena, the net curtains and the painting makes up her background, breaking up the yellow and blue. We even have the very yellow lampshade positioned above Eddie during the scene - yes Ramon also appears under it, but itās held in shot over Eddie far longer.
The fact that itās specifically the walls that are yellow is also key. The show is very heavily playing on the metaphor of a house being a representation of the person who owns/ lives there - itās something theyāve been doing with Eddie since the beginning. We were shown the LA Diaz house in season 2 early on and shown that all the spaces Chris occupied were far more decorated than Eddies bedroom, with brighter colours used in the decorative aspects such as furniture, pictures and carpets etc while Eddies room is painted magnolia with a simple dark blue bedspread, sparsely furnished and no art on the walls - it was all about showing us that Chris is Eddies focus - that he comes first in every aspect of who Eddie is - to the detriment of Eddie himself. The bedroom being sparse and cold is symbolic of Eddie neglecting himself - his own wellbeing. We only see this change slowly over time with the introduction of a bit of art on the walls - which all connects into his Texas and Mexican roots but plays on the idea of it being an inhospitable environment - cactus artworks suggesting prickliness. After he has destroyed his room we see the most drastic change - Eddies room gets colour - the walls are painted blue and we get new artwork, new lamps and furniture. The room is still cold though - the blue is icy and the art is a black and white photo of El Capitan and the yellow toned painting of a lone cowboy on a horse. Its saying that Eddies room is still not a warm and comfortable and inviting space - that his mind isnāt - that he still has a mountain to climb and also that he is a bit of a Lone Ranger.
So here, in what we are going to assume is Eddies childhood home, to have the walls being multiple shades of yellow is about the concept of yellow representing the very fabric of who Eddie is. Like the foundations, the walls and roof of a house are fundamental aspects of the structure - they are basic requirements of a house - and are therefore representative of the core parts of who someone is - Eddie in this case - and because it is his childhood home these walls are showing us who young Eddie is/was. Theyāre telling us this is the Eddie that needs to be rediscovered and then they further this concept by having Eddie ripping down the wallpaper in his fixer upper house - revealing yellow walls beneath the blue - in a yellow that is the same colour as the walls in the Diaz family house - suggesting Eddie is getting back to who that Eddie is.
The blue check pattern wallpaper in Eddies new house is also giving us information about Eddie - its telling us that check pattern theory is in play in Eddies life in a big way - indicating that big change is coming in the fundamentals of who Eddie has become - that the very fabric of who he is currently is going to be changed.
There is something to be said about Eddie removing the blue from the house and revealing the yellow of his childhood underneath. Itās not just about the fact that that Buck is blue coded while Eddie is yellow - which is important and plays on the idea that we are stripping back Bucks perspective of Eddie and seeing the real Eddie to a certain extent, but its also about Eddie removing layers of the things he himself has hidden behind - heās hidden behind Buck and allowed himself to not get lost exactly, but to almost fade down. Itās about the show giving us Bucks pov on so much of Eddie that we donāt actually see who Eddie is and this plot line is about the fullness of Eddie being revealed - that weāre able to now see Eddie without the Buck goggles on - but also that Eddie is able to do that as well - Buck has provided Eddie with a huge safety net up to this point - stepping in and being that coparent to Chris with him and having his back at work. Eddie now gets to figure himself out - he still has Buck in his life and Buck is still going to have his back, but Eddie is learning to do things for himself to a much greater extent and this shows that transition for him. The entire house is a metaphor for Eddie finding himself now he has had everything stripped away from him. He is starting to put some of himself together - setting up furniture and making it feel a bit more homely even if the building itself needs a lot more work and its no coincidence that we see Chris coming to him at the moment we get to see that he has actually made inroads in that unpacking himself and setting up his living room - a space that is a shared one which enables him to be vulnerable in a way he hasnāt really done before with Chris.
The show was given us box POV on so much of Eddie that we donāt actually see who Eddie is and this plot line is about the fullness of Eddie being revealed they were able to now see Eddie without the buck goggles on and without his identity as a firefighter but also that Eddie is able to do that for himself as well. we saw this concept played out to a certain extent in Season five after Eddieās breakdown when he left the 118, but he was still technically a firefighter then but was physically there providing Eddie with a huge safety in it stepping in and supporting him. Eddie is now in a situation where all that has been taken away from him and he now gets to figure himself out ā he still has back in his life and is still going to have His back, heās still a safety in it ā as we see through the video calls, but Eddie is learning to do things for himself to a much greater extent this episode is about setting that up and showing that transition for him.
I do just quickly want to mention the sagey green wall at the far end of the room which appears to be the wall with the doors that go through to the bedroom and bathroom parts of the house. The fact this wall is green is playing into Eddieās army green colouring, the bedrooms are the most private spaces in a house and therefore are representative of your innermost self, your truest self. Weāve seen this metaphor play out before with Eddie when he destroyed his bedroom back in season five it was about him trying to destroy part of who he was at his core. so using Green on that wall is suggestive that Eddie is not ready to deal with that part of himself yet and that is why heās focused on the living room, the shared space of the house and will work his way towards the bedrooms. ļæ¼
Staying with the set aspect of it all for a little bit longer - we need to talk about couch theory because sue it was doing some very heavy lifting in this episode - and not just because Eddie mentions that he might need to sleep on Bucks uncomfortable couch! Because when Eddie is making that comment his couch is in shot ā I need his covered in a dust sheet. At his own couch is not available to him and the show is taking great care and effort to establish the idea that Eddies couch is the right couch ā but itās the one both buck and Eddie are comfortable on and that they are able to be themselves on it and leather filters down. But falling asleep there easily after the lightning strike when he was having trouble sleeping on his own loft, Eddie discovering joy for himself heavily featuring the couch and then we also see both of them sat on it together for the very first time after that ā showing them sharing joy and sorry together and just being able to be ā not needing to say a word.
There is something to be said about Eddie removing the blue from the house and revealing the yellow of his childhood underneath. Itās not just about the fact that buck is blue coated well Eddie is yellow which is important and plays into the idea that we are stripping back box perspective, Eddie and seeing the real Eddie to a certain extent, but it is also about Eddie removing the layers of things he himself has hidden behind most of his life. Heās hidden behind various people or jobs for most of his life, Helena in the beginning, Shannon in his team and young adult is, the army, Chris as soon as he was born, and Eddie became a father and since moving to LA, being a firefighter and buck. This allowed himself to, not get lost exactly, but it just exist in the safe space that these people and jobs help create and that meant he didnāt have to examine those parts himself at his core.
It being covered over with a dust sheet here in this scene is about protecting it ā itās the most important thing in the scene ā itās literally the only piece of furniture that Eddie has covered up, yes there are things still in boxes, but may many of those are semi unpacked and none of the rest of his furniture is covered to protect it. Eddie is tearing down the house, but the couch is the one thing he has chosen to ensure has protection from the fallout while he literally stripped back the walls ā stripping back the layers of himself.
Itās also a metaphor for Eddie not wanting to look at what the couch represents in that moment ā that he is not ready to examine what the couch means ā family, love, and comfort. Is a way of Eddie denying himself those things ā he is still punishing himself and he needs to work on the fabric of himself before he can begin to examine what exists on the couch. Doing this also gives us a parallel with fucking 601 choosing not to replace his couch and just use the armchair ā to work on himself before he finds a couch that is the right couch for him. In this scene Eddie only has his red leather chair to sit up. He is denying himself the comfort and love the couch provides. It is a show building further layers to the couch metaphor, which they take even further with the living room itself.
Eddie does eventually set up the living room - even as he is still working to remove the blue wallpaper - but he only sets the couch up once the blue is removed from the couch side of the room - so that the walls around the couch are yellow - bringing yellow and blue colour theory into play once again. The other thing about the living room itself is the way that its been set up to replicate the way he had his living room set up in LA - the front door behind the couch to its left, set up in front of the fireplace, with the red leather chair to the left of the fireplace. The room is narrower, so itās a more compact version, but even the windows are located the same positions, they have even set up the dining room shelves in a position that mimics the large carved cabinet in Eddies LA living room set up (I assume the cabinet is in one of the bedrooms and thatās why we donāt see it - because it wouldnāt actually fit there!)! This is showing us that LA is where Eddie actually wants to be - where he feels he truly belongs - itās about that home he had set up in LA being the right home for him and the couch now being set up is about Eddie being ready for Chris and Chris is the only one to sit on it - Eddie hugs Chris on the couch, but he never actually interacts with it himself.
And then there is the additional fact that in the previous episode, Buck sets up his own furniture in the Diaz LA living room in the same layout that Eddie had his - Buck toys with the idea of having the furniture in a different layout as you can see from this screen grab below
but the show makes a big effort to then show us that he has it set up to replicate Eddies layout. It really shows us that they belong together - that they are a family and that set up is a representation of their family dynamic. The other aspect of Buck decor is how cold it is - Buck is making it home by setting it out in the same way, right down to the armchair as Eddie had it but the colouring of his furniture doesnāt work with the cream walls where it did in the loft with its industrial and darker toned spaces. The loft was all greys and blacks and white and warm toned browns and high ceilings. But Eddies house is magnolia and the ceilings are lower and the lighting is brighter and coming from all angles instead of from one. Because of this it makes the space look like it lacks in colour - Eddie had coloured furniture and a rug to add warmth to the space, as well as the art on the walls, but Bucks furniture and art is making it look very flat toned and bland. It really plays into the idea of Bucks world being drained of colour without Eddie in it (not that he has been drained of colour, but the world around him).
The other aspect of the set design - before we go back to costumes, is the three magnets on Bucks fridge! Yes magnet theory is back in business! we only have the three magnets on Bucks fridge - which I find very interesting considering the fact that he had gone for a full assault of magnets and pictures on his fridge during 8a. the fact we have a yellow magnet, a blue magnet and a white/grey magnet and their positioning is making me thing about the sun moon and earth. Buck is the blue magnet as per yellow blue colour theory, and Eddie is the yellow one and I think the grey one is meant to represent Tommy.
The reason I think this is because itās meant to be a play on the way Eddie and Tommy had been lit around Buck, as well as the use of lighting in 811 for the Tommy scenes - the use of darkness for the hook up especially (in fact its no coincidence that the majority of the BT scenes took place at night!). In 704 we were shown Eddie being bathed in light - glowing with light haloed around him, Tommy in that same episode was always in shadow or darkly lit - you can see it very clearly during the basketball game, but the loft scene between Buck and Tommy also shows Tommy being lit darkly and partially in shadow.
Even the kitchen scene in 811 shows Tommy always in shadow - he never goes near the windows - always in the shadow of the cabinets or on the far side of the room away from the light. This is because Buck is the earth and he orbits around Eddie - who is the sun, while Tommy essentially orbits around Buck (heās a plot device thatās what they do!). The sun generates its own heat and light, whereas the moon can only reflect the sunās light.
This is a play on the fact that Buck has misunderstood whoās attention he was trying to get - its no mistake that scene at the loft took place at night while all the times Buck was trying to get someoneās attention it was bright daylight. The moon is known as a symbol of enlightenment and transformation (and madness) and those are both things Tommy has helped Buck with but at the end of the day, the moon is borrowing its light from the sun in the same way Tommy is borrowing light from Eddie. The sun is a life force, but the moon is not - its reflected light can help guide you in the dark when it is full, but it cannot sustain life. That is exactly what we have seen play out with Buck Tommy and Eddie so far - Buck has been enlightened by Tommy, but he cannot be sustained by that - he needs the sun - Eddie - to thrive!
Back to costumes now and while weāre here, weāll talk about Bucks teal. Teal is such an interesting colour - its a combination of of blue and green and can lean in either direction - this one is more blue toned - its almost peacock blue - but there is enough green in it to class it as teal (Bucks phone case is more peacock blue) Teal is a colour of clarity and openmindedness and objectivity and wisdom. These are all key traits we see Buck exibitiing in this scene - especially objectivity and clarity which he provides to Eddie and which Eddie takes on board and as a result is able to really make some inroads into healing things with Chris.
We are also meant to draw a comparison between Buck and Chris - who are both on Eddies dash in shades of blue. Buck is obviously in teal as we;ve just discussed, while Chris is in a blue that looks like Bucks normal blue. Chris being in blue here is really important as blue is a colour associated with trust, responsibility and protection - the little photo of Chris here is a representation of what Eddie is trying to regain - his parental responsibilities for his child who he wants to protect (and feels he failed) and Chrisās trust and Buck in his teal hoodie is able to provide the wisdom clarity and objectivity that allows Eddie to begin to do just that later in the episode.
I do just want to quickly mention the tree air fresheners while weāre here as well. We see Eddie fit a blue tree to his rear view mirror at the beginning of his uber Eddie arc and he then purchases a green one and switches them out just before he picks up Ezra and Chris and it remains during his talk with Buck. Itās no coincidence that we get this colour switch at this moment in time. The blue tree is representing those traits we spoke about above - trust, responsibility, and protection and blue can also be a symbol of reliability as well as conservatism. These are all traits Eddie needs to be an uber driver and that is why we have the blue tree there during the montage of his adventures in that job. But in the scene with Chris and the chat with Buck the green colour meaning is needed. Green is growth and renewal, hope and the future, but it is also judgemental. Eddie is judging himself in this couple of scenes and he thinks Chirs is too, but Buck also helps him to find some hope for the future and we see Eddies growth in the fact that he takes on board Bucks advice and actually actions it which leads to the renewal of Eddie and Chrisās relationship.
There is a second aspect to the green tree as well - back in 701 Eddie talks to Buck about Chris dating multiple girls and asks him to talk to Chris about it. They are dealing with a small car fire and Buck hands the cars owner a green tree air freshener and says that it wasnāt a total loss when he asks. We have a parallel conversation here between Buck and Eddie and once again - itās not a total loss for Eddie - he has a chance to salvage something.
Letās finish up on Eddies grey which has an interesting journey with Eddie. Weāve seen him wear an increasing amount of grey in the seasons where he is going through mental health arcs - so seasons 5 and 6 are grey heavy. This seaosn so far hasnāt been, but we get a pretty sizeable chunk of this episode with him in grey.
We start with the montage of him dealing with all the various issues in his fixer upper house showing us a hint of the reality of what Eddie has purchased, and then we spend all of his time as an uber driver with him wearing a grey hoodie over a white tee. Grey is a neutral, balanced colour and is also ambiguous and considered a colour of safety, professionalism and practicality.
The fact that they have been increasing the amount of grey Eddie wears as we go through the seasons where he is dealing with his mental health is interesting, because of its neutrality as well as safety, but here in this season I find interesting not only on that front, but also its ambiguous connotations. The fact that we see him trying to settle into his fixer upper house - dealing with leaks and faulty electrics etc whilst wearing grey (or grey blue as that is what he was wearing in the scene when he didnāt get he firefighting job - it needed to be both blue and grey!) makes that ambiguity clear - Eddie is unsure about what he is doing - if it is the right thing to be doing at all. It also ties that ambiguity to Eddie tearing down and rebuilding his life and himself - ambiguity about which way it could go - success or failure - but also straight or queer. Its a bit of a tease from the wardrobe team as to Eddieās arc - that the straight or queer question is one that needs to be asked and if that needs to be asked then the answer will fall in the queer camp - hence the yellow and blue coding in the rooms themselves.
The hoodie over the white tee is essentially Eddie in uniform and it plays into those other meanings of grey - safety professionalism and practicality - once more all things we see Eddie exhibit in his uber driver scenes - especially when he has learnt the unwritten rules of being an uber driver from his very helpful passenger. The blue ties and zip give a little nod to the trustworthy and protection and responsibility elements of blue as well all working together with the grey but also still keeping him connected to his blue firefighters uniform in a low key way - suggesting things he learnt as a firefighter are relevant to him i his job as an uber driver.
Right, Iām going to stop waffling now as this has got super long and is super late! As always, I hope you enjoyed this costume meta that was more a set meta and colour theory conversation than about the costumes this week, and thanks for taking the time to read it - it means a lot to me.
