What were the inspirations behind the creations of each of your oc's? :)

Aaaa the answer might be funny or disappointing I’m not sure but I can tell you EXACTLY what inspired the creation of Tindryst. It was these goggles.

I saw them and the really dramatic blood elf dudes’ death animation and thought, “I want a blood elf hunter to feign death while wearing these to get out of a bar fight.” The rest spun up around Dionys and us going “uh what do we rp? Ooh they were farstriders! They’re not now, though”

Lyrennus was “well, Tin left the farstriders cause stuff went bad and he got in a fight with his dad, who was a big important farstrider.” He didn’t exist beyond that until wrath of the Lich king, at which point I had a DK tindryst and this hunter alt that USED to be him I suddenly wasn’t using, so his dad got to exist on screen in rp enough to start getting a personality. I knew he was cranky, professional, and that his wife became wretched and died. Because I am and always have been obsessed with wretched blood elves and will put them in everything.

Which is a nice segue to Lar. I have absolutely no memory of what I was thinking when I made Lar, and I made up all of his early character traits on the spot. He was just an alt I made to sit around silvermoon hassling people, which is how he ended up hassling one of Devon’s pre-Dionys alts, so he’s how we met and why the other ones had the chance to exist. I listened to way too much Radiohead and was a chronically ill, as of yet undiagnosed with anything teenager trying to cope by making up imaginary dudes to think about instead of where I was sitting any given moment, and somehow managed to stay lodged in my brain well into my 30’s now.

(Bonus, Not inspiration for the character initially but for a big old plot point- the death knight stuff only happened because I had a dream about it and thought it would be neat, so we did it and figured out the hows and why’s after the fact.)

The OCs that had solid inspirations and personalities when I sketched them out never lasted, and I can’t remember half of them, but the ones that were a gimmick grew like fungus and things got out of hand. This might just be the equivalent of me crawling up a tall stalk of grass to release cordyceps spores like a possessed ant.

They are from originally from world of Warcraft rp but in terms of where they exist now, they’re from this, by the way. Lark/larinath is just a side character who pops up briefly in part 2, though. I’ve had him the longest and he’s got his own messes going on totally unrelated to the farstrider stuff this story follows. He just Knows A Guy and ends up on screen for a smidge because of it (I am not furiouslatte I am the weirdo scuttling around behind the scenes generating extraneous lore and staring at characters under a microscope to figure out what their Whole Deal is while she writes a coherent set of fics.)

Grooming herself, Featherpaw says, “Maybe he’s letting you off easy after all. Tigerstar doesn’t like to be embarrassed.”

Hawkfrost hums in agreement. “If I wasn’t his son, he probably would have thrown me in person with you. At least I’m still on the outside.”

Featherpaw can’t help but scoff. “Lucky you.”

Hawkfrost eyes her for a moment, his features contorting in thought. It makes Featherpaw hold her breath as she waits for whatever he says next.

“You missed a spot on your back.”

another painting! I'm really proud how i rendered it This time we have Owlstar and Hawkfeather (in this picture they're apprentices so; Owlpaw and Hawkpaw) I finally figured how thei relationship would look like. And unfrotunately it's not so happy.. In short; they were two best friends sice they were kits, but when they beame warriors this relation began to fade away until they stopped talking. They were close, and it's panful that they separated. But at the same time none of them want to bring it back

Warriorsona ref update cuz he desperately needed one 😭 He's come so far since I made him in... ermm probably like 2011? He was bright yellow back then and named Hawkfeather and also an evil blind healer who was mates with Hawkfrost and he killed people with a cleaver ala la Cleavepool. Hes just a little guy now he likes to pick flowers and find cool rocks.

What do you think heaven’s next move will be in the HawkFeather Au? Obviously, they can’t just let Hell and the hotel win, so they’re probably scrambling to figure out if they have anything they can leverage. Maybe one of them has the bright idea of using relatives in heaven as bargaining pieces! Sera would probably be horrified at the idea, but not say anything out of fear that they’ll send her on another work break. Im pretty sure Al’s mom is in heaven, as well as angel’s sister Molly. Maybe

They’re actually not really going to do much of anything that could fan the flames. Heaven doesn’t want actual war, and neither does Lucifer. A full out war would make the exterminations look like a sand box game and likely wipe out just about everything, Heaven and Hell included.

If anything Heaven is actually beginning to cut most of their ties to Hell, trying to separate the two as much as possible. Since Lute was cast down and the rest of the exorcists left willingly they can’t force them back. It’s more beneficial for both sides to just stay at an uneasy truce.
