Random Omori au

Hobby Swapped!

Basically the idea is having all of the omori characters (or at least the main cast) keep their identity of being who they are while having one of their biggest past times (hobbies( being switched with anyone in the group, and then trying to make the omori story still "work"

At least, somewhat, doesn't have to be a perfect recreation. Now this doesn't mean "Hero has Aubrey's hobbies therefore he also has Aubrey's anger issues and personality" given this isn't them swapping personalities, only hobbies.

The ones with each other's hobbies follows

Sunny has Heros! Cooking/baking!

Hero has Aubrey's! Delinquency and Churchgoing!

Aubrey has Kels! She is Dunking on people with sports and videogames!

Kel has Basils! And is a proud parent to many leafy children!

Basils has Maris! He can play the piano and make beautiful flower arrangements!

Maris has Sunny's! She can be fairly normal with a Violin!

Last Friday I was so upset at myself for not having anything to upload... and I completely forgot I had these rough drawings.

So here ya go, a redesign of HobbySwap (Lifeswap? Idk, but I feel like the old name is pretty eh) Membrane. Felt like I'd gotten a bit better at dressing characters up and thought he'd look nice with a bit of an edgier, more villain-esc look. Lean into the mad scientist more.

Since @sanseru hobbyswap au has me so inspired I wrote a little drabble for it. It’s also on Ao3 here!

Professor Membrane briefly wonders how werewolves are able to grow in size and strength in response to the moon. The two seem completely unrelated, but the werewolf chasing him and his alien coworkers is clear evidence to the contrary. Fascinating.

Red is ahead of him dragging him by hand. “Membrane! Stop looking back and look for a place to hide. And will you stop screaming!” That last sentence is directed at Purple who is behind Membrane screaming his head off.

Membrane can feel where Purple is gripping his back through his coat. Purple pushes him, urging him to run faster. The pointed fingers send shivers down his spine. Membrane looks around for a distraction. “The front door! There.” He points ahead to the entryway, but the werewolf jumps over them sliding through the front door.

“Nope! Not going that way.” Purple drags them up the stairs before the wolf can turn around. Without much thought, Purple drags them into the first room. It’s a bedroom. Before Membrane can examine the room more, Red pulls them into a smaller space. A closet, Membrane realizes as he pushes a dusty coat out of his face and onto the floor.

“So this is what you do on the weekend?” Red asks. “Get chased by whatever monster you run into.” He’s close. Very close. Membrane realizes as his breath hitches. He’s only made closer by the fact that Red is grabbing his shirt from the front, and Purple is pushing against him from the back. He’s effectively trapped between the two.

“Well, it isn’t usually this, um, this exciting,” Membrane manages as he tries not to stare. Red’s pak is glowing in the dark, giving him an otherworld look in the near darkness. Membrane can see Red smile. He can feel Red’s arm slide around his neck while Purple rests his head on the other side. Membrane shivers despite the body heat he can feel from the two aliens. After a moment, he realizes Purple is shaking as well. “Are you alright, Purple?”

Purple snakes his arms around Membrane’s middle. “So so many teeth,” He simply says as he buries his head deeper into the crook of Membrane’s neck. Membrane chuckles, despite himself having his own heart hammering against his chest, and puts a hand on Purple’s head, ruffling the wig he wears. In a comforting manner, he hopes.

Red is deciding jealous of the extra attention Purple is getting and licks the side of Membrane’s face. Membrane lets out a yip at the feeling. “Don’t ignore me,” Red pouts as he leans down to press his cheek to Membrane’s.

Membrane’s stomach churns as Red pulls him to lean against the wall. His hand's not even an inch away from Red’s hip. Purple’s arm tightens around him. Being in the middle of an alien sandwich is definitely not what he thought he’d be doing this weekend.

A howl interrupts the heavy atmosphere. “The-- the werewolf’s still out there,” Membrane says lamely.

Purple groans at the thought. “Don’t remind me.”

Membrane can feel Red nod. “We’ll have to stay here until it’s gone.”

“Or until morning,” Purple adds. The two aliens agree with each other and tighten their grip on the human.

Membrane flushes. It’s going to be a long night.

so if anyone wants to send me asks about certain p5 concepts i have, you may. here are a few;

-runaway, currently going on atm, nearly at the madarame arc. a full arcanaswap au revolving around fool!yusuke with new personas, three new palaces and a slightly altered timeline

-cats cradle, three drabbles currently in wip. a ng+ au featuring human morgana and a party arcanaswap, with a vanilla timeline morgana experiencing the p5r storyline

-ghost of you, my yusuke/minato reincarnation au. after the events of persona 3, a section of minato’s soul is accidentally transferred into a young boy. then, during p5r’s third semester, yusuke wakes up in iwatodai, with strangers calling him by the name of a dead man

-foolish teacher, more of an idea at this point. an au where instead of a falsely accused transfer student on probation, the trickster is instead his homeroom teacher who moonlights as a maid

-trans morgana au, a concept ive tossed around with @jokers-boyfriend. what if morgana’s facination with ann wasn’t due to the fact he had a crush on her, but because he wanted to be her? in maruki’s reality, human morgana takes the form of a young woman instead of a handsome man, and morgana has to come to terms with his - her - identity 

-yusuke gets adopted by kawakami au, basically, wherein instead of asking ann to be his model, yusuke finds beauty in a struggling high school homeroom teacher, and instead of confiding in akira about the takases, kawakami finds an ally in the eccentric art student who hangs around akira 

-sumikita hobbyswap au. in which yusuke is an eccentric gymnast who has to escape the grasp of an abusive coach, and the yoshizawa twins are a pair of talented artists, with one seemingly more technically skilled then the other -- basically, same plot as canon, kasumi dies in an accident and sumire is actualized to believe she’s her older sibling instead

-pt and morgana species swap au - all the pt are different metaverse creatures, while morgana is a human who has to try to wrangle his magical pets before they do something stupid

-the cursed(tm) harugana concept - yknow the classic “mona wishes on a star and becomes human?” plot? yeah that happens but instead of waking up in leblanc, he wakes up in haru’s house in a human body. oops

-yusuharu roleswap au - wherein haru is the starving artist who can and will cut you and yusuke is the rich boy who’s surprisingly generous, although he tends to forget his own wellbeing :’)

Like I said, I’m gonna try and upload like normal. Here’s the latest thing I’ve been working on, especially over stream, and I finally finished it! I’m really proud of how it turned out!! Mostly just wanted to practice drawing characters a little more even though I probably need way more practice with full body anatomy- oh well! :’D

Really wish I could find the old description for this drawing but I do know that it took forever and is one of my best drawings to date. I was mostly just practicing drawing background and well, I think it turned out really well!
