Yeah, Jason Todd just won't leave my mind istg.

Anyways, these two are always in my mind every time it's drifted back to Jason fucking Todd.

The woman next to him is my baby Marian Evangelista, a wonderful librarian and a friend to everyone, notable for her silly wit and cottagecore lifestyle and aesthetics. She's one of those remarkable people who appreciates every single person for who she or he is. But her life was not as simple and beautiful as it seemed. Marian had a deep, dark secret. Though it caused her great pain, Marian never let it define her, because despite everything, she's still Marian Evangelista.

hear me out but. vet (as in. animal vet) ghost w soap who has a very embarrassing crush on him, and gets the very smart idea to ask him out by pretending his dog's sick so he can go and see him

except he never quite finds the courage the first few times

so he just. keeps going back. with this animal that is very well cared for and absolutely loving life at the vet's, whilst johnny keeps fumbling over his words and never quite managing to explicitly ask ghost out

(he eventually musters up the courage. ghost is very charmed and pretending he isn't. bonus points if soap's pet somehow managed to get them into a fluster-y moment. ye classic rom com lead ties two people up moment.)

i just realised we are living in a timeline where there is a real possibility for the next of Wong's MCU cameos to be followed up by a cheeky scene of him returning to his living quarters at Kamar-Taj to Madisynn and Emil lounging on his couch watching soaps.

I feel like The Incredible Hulk tv show from the 70s would probably be good. I've never seen it, but I do like what little I know about it. An anthology series, as doctor banner travels from town to town, trying to keep his head down. But he inevitably always gets dragged into problems, and then The Hulk comes out and gets into trouble and/or solves the episode's problem. But nobody could accept a man with these differences, so he keeps walking the roads. Adrift from mankind, an outsider to the world at large. Is the show accurate to the comics? Well, it doesn't have any of the comic supporting cast. But I think it keeps the whole theme of The Hulk perfectly.

Mostly though, I think I just like the show's theme song (which i think i found online). A sad dirge on the piano...It's almost the perfect fit for a character like the hulk. There's an inherent loneliness and sadness there, and that's usually why The Hulk is so relatable. Lonely, anger issues, trying to hide said issues for fears of judgement, etc. The Hulk/Bruce Banner might be incredibly sad, but he's sad in the same ways I am. And I just wish him happiness, in the same way that's what i hope for myself.

i wanna b&w white queen and hulk as well since their portraits hide the gold foil background too much, but yeah. this represents..... many hours of play

The Incredible Hulk (1968) #269

#so Rick’s defense of the Hulk here is immediately undercut by his envisioning of a good outcome being Bruce’s mind in the Hulk’s body #but that itself is interesting because is framed as not coming from a place of concern about the Hulk directly #but anxiety about Rick’s own identity and place in the world when he’s defined himself as the Hulk’s sidekick #his daydream values the Hulk only for his strength and wants to combine that with Bruce’s intelligence #there’s nothing about the Hulk’s personality that’s brought up when thinking about the Hulk’s right to live #and then at the end of the issue he tries to turn himself into a Hulk and says then that it's fine for Bruce to be cured #really making it clear that he was not actually concerned about the Hulk #I really do think that the fact that the Hulk isn’t intelligent makes the idea of eradicating him a lot more palatable #not just from the problems that causes but that it devalues him in people's eyes both in and out of universe #no he does not have a right to live because other people are clearly worth more #and I like that Rick is falling into that because I really don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t #like Jim Wilson is the one that I think actually understands and likes the Hulk and supports him for that reason #whereas Rick is motivated by his debt to Bruce #and I like that Betty is coming out and saying that she’s against Bruce identifying with the Hulk #I honestly prefer her disliking the Hulk over her liking him #because again it doesn't really make sense for her to feel positively about him #I like that the narration describes Bruce as ‘thoroughly obsessed with himself’#and that Bruce couldn’t even give Betty a nice moment out in the desert without freaking out #it’s been a while since Bruce and Betty have been in a relationship so it’s good to see that drama again #to think that I was frustrated with Rick and Betty’s return to the book #because I thought the approach to their feelings about the Hulk and this arc about trying to cure Bruce was simplistic #I've been in a bit of a slump with my Hulk readings but I genuinely think the Hulk's 'friends' treating him poorly is turning that around #because I really like this #marvel #bruce banner #betty ross #rick jones #my posts #comic panels

Gabriella wasn't actually supposed to seek out other Spider People. That wasn't how Spider Society worked unless the boss told you to help recruit someone. Miguel had slightly more patience with his sort-of daughter than he had with most, but she was certainly going to hear about this little bonus trip into the multiverse.

Gabi's Spider Girl abilities were the result of her genetic code being rewritten. She was 50% spider like Miguel, but testing had suggested there might be instability in her genetic code.

That was...not great.

It was hard to know what it meant, but it had renewed her own interest or curiosity perhaps about how she might cure herself.

And well, there were only a handful of Spider People that had led her to.

"Hey, don't freak out or anything. I'm, um, I'm not going to blow your cover or anything. I just...You're working on a serum, right? I need to know everything about it." That didn't sound ominous or sketchy coming from a total stranger at all. "And talk slow. I'm not great with the science."

The days were getting warmer and the nights grew shorter. Everyone was excited and the heroes and the hulks were enjoying the incoming summer.

But Red Hulk seemed more distant. He wasn't very social in general but he had a very morose air about him. Nobody saw him smile and he was always lost in his thoughts.

While the other hulks were having fun, Red sat by the fire alone. His huge form unmoving as he watched the flames, poking the logs once in a while and tossing in new wood.

He wasn't smiling, wasn't happy. He just looked...sad.

Father's Day was coming....his birthday too. Two days he hadn't celebrated in years and had no interest celebrating any time soon.
