This is going to be a trend with me, But I am such a lover of Nisaac (my revolutionary lovers if you will). There's so many scenes and quotes that just make me squeal out of joy!!
The glances, the looks, the smiles, the hugs, all of it!! There's so many lines that just make me smile.
I shall give a few examples of a few of my favorites.
-------
- He sees dead people
"- I never got to experience what you two have. So don't throw away your chance at happiness for a petty fortune."
..
"I don't.. want to lose you."
"Nor I you, captin higgintoot-"
...
"I don't Want a prenup, I just want you."
---------
- Halloween 2: the ghost of hetty's past
"Thank you for coming. I know the turnout has been subpar to say the least"
"On the contrary, I am quite fond of who IS in attendance" (looks at Isaac)
----
And finally, from "Isaac's wedding", one that honestly hurts:
"Don't let a hiccup ruin a marriage made for eternity."
------
These are just a few, there's so many more I could say- that's not even to mention on the glances and smiles with the two of them.
All in all, I love Nisaac so much and they mean so much to me and I REALLLYYYY hope they get back together after a lot of healthy communication.
(That hug is also one of my favs)

*Grabs you*
Jenkins. In. Promo.
It is happening.
Omg I am so not ready! I really hope that line in the last episode was foreshadowing his involvement in the finale. I could see him having a small but significant role like he has had in previous episodes, especially if we’re following the pattern of finale’s having nisaac plots.
My head is already going in many different directions, and I have ideas for good things that could happen and very bad things (my worst fear in this is that Jenkins sides with Elias on something. I think Elias is going to have a significant role, given the title of the episode. I’m just very anxious and tend to think of the worst possible outcome first. But I think a good way to involve him would be for him to just be able to shoot Elias with his musket 😅)
I’ll make a post about some predictions later, but I am nervous and excited. It feels like this season went by so quickly. I hope they give us something to chew on for the summer.
Also I read this ask like this

I feel so out of sync with the Ghosts fandom! I just don't care at all about fanwanking everyone's gender and sexual identity and even the canon romances are meh to me. And I was so meh about this Christmas episode while everyone else loved it. The possessions didn't work for me at all, and the Pete stuff...not to sound heartless, but we've already been down that exact same road with him and Laura so it didn't hit nearly as hard this time. I also don't love Jay as much as most do---he's kind of a wimp who apparently went years without standing up for Sam to his family and he's always so desperate for acceptance. Speaking of his family, yet another way I'm different from most of the ghosts fandom is that I can't STAND Bela. Like Jay, she thinks way too highly of herself and is kind of a social climber but lacks Jay's endearing qualities. Can't wait to read your review of this ep!
What are a few predictions you have for the rest of this season? Not obvious ones like Nisaac getting back together (which...yawn!) but kind of bold and unexpected ones?! Mine: Trevor is getting sucked off, Sam will discover she's pregnant and Hetty's power has something to do with time travel!
I totally get it, even though I will disagree to varying degrees on varying levels on some of those things. (Like for instance, Bela's my girl but I see where you're coming from.)
As for the episode itself...it's weird cause I DID like it...but not as a Christmas episode. It didn't feel particularly like a Christmas episode at all compared to its predecessor unless it was trying to replicate the holiday chaos of something like Home Alone or Christmas Vacation (neither of which are faves of mine. I prefer the stuff with warmer, happier endings and messages). I feel like the Christmas part of it was so on the periphery of the story that they could have made each possession be its own normal episode and the same story could have been told without it changing anything.
Like I LOVED the idea of Nancy helping Sam indirectly make headway with her mother-in-law in ways she couldn't do on her own. That was cool. But was it particularly Christmassy a la Thor the Grinch possessing Sam and learning what Christmas means? No, it was not.
And Pete possessing Jay? Entertaining and I LOVED that it gave him the opportunity to meet the ghosts "in person", but I wish they could have used the opportunity for the two to connect more rather than just turning Pete into a Hetty who's using the possession for his own gain (even though I understand the whole Laura thing and love them connecting, it was under a circumstance that could have happened any time.) I'm hoping that since the showrunners and writers know how big the Pete/Jay face to face/connection is to all of us, they're doing some sort of build up, from first trip out together to possession to...whatever comes next until they finally do talk and it's like a Very Special Episode or something.
Now I don't feel as strongly about Jay as you do, but I definitely agree with the idea that there needs to be some sort of reckoning in his and Sam's relationship where he finally just, I don't know, starts spilling out all his frustrations and says how he really feels. And I don't care if it leads to them having marriage troubles or what (if it's temporary and leads them both to actually learn something) but I hate Jay always having to get the short end of the stick and doing nothing to improve the situation. It's very frustrating.
I agree about Trevor getting sucked off. I won't be surprised if it happens because they really seem like they're setting something like that up. I hope with all my might that Sam doesn't discover she's pregnant now or at any point in the series. I really don't like this habit of showrunners feeling like every happily married couple needs to have a baby pop out of nowhere to be complete and I would like to have at least one show where that doesn't happen. (They did it in BBC Ghosts and it was a factor, IMO, why the ending was so unsatisfactory. But if it happens, I'll deal.)
Hetty's power having something to do with time travel? Interesting! Although I'm still thinking it's a phone thing. And in the Halloween episode she was going on about it showing up suddenly so maybe if she has phone powers, like there's a storm and they have no power and no way to reach anyone and then voila, in their hour of need, Hetty's power appears and she saves the day.
I also think Sas' COD is coming. Maybe something to do with food? (And possibly if that's a cause, maybe Jay's restaurant will be part of the reveal?)
And we haven't had our Stephanie episode yet so I wonder what they'll do with her and what it will take to get her sucked off? Maybe she gets to have some sort of revenge on her killer? Like he gets out of jail on parole and ends up at Woodstone somehow where she helps catch/reveal him like with Trevor and Ari but more intense?
And I wonder what else they'll do with Elias since he's coming too? Maybe there will be some talk about the Thomas and Alberta situation and we'll find out that Thomas has been chilling with his dad downstairs and...they both come up under the guise of Thomas making an apology to Alberta and...chaos ensues?

I’m guessing h-money shippers didn’t love Hetty reiterating that her relationship with Trevor was just physical and that she already feels more seen by a guy she knew for an hour or two, but as someone who hopes h-money stays just friends and can’t ever see them falling in love, I really loved Hedy’s totally authentic connection with Jay’s cousin! For me it was already more emotional than Hedy and Trevor ever were or could be.
Nisaac shippers probably weren’t crazy about this episode either for obvious reasons. Isaac screaming about Chris being his soulmate thing was funny and also a reminder to those of us who never thought Isaac was into Nigel that Isaac somehow felt more for some guy he knew for like three minutes lol. We know how TV works so Nigel and Isaac will obviously get back together by the end, but it blows my mind that the writers think they’re going to convince most of us that they have this loving balanced relationship all of a sudden!
OMG, so now Alberta and Hetty are in on the Sass virgin shaming too?! I love this shows humor and I’m not easily offended but I hope this particular joke has made its final appearance because it’s really annoying me! i’d give this episode like a C plus. There were a few good lines and moments but I doubt I’ll ever watch it again except for maybe the scenes between Hetty and Jay‘s cousin!
OOOOHHHH.
I was actually thinking that they really proved that it wasn't more than just sex. They didn't go on a date - she called him a rebound from a washing machine. Said it was just physical.
Which from her side, seems to align with the way she was in S2 with regards to Trevor. So, it's another nail in the 'it was a romance all along'. It also reminds me of why I jumped from the ship for a bit (because he seemed more invested).
I would love for this to be explored more if H-Money does get together again because this does show a pattern.
For Hetty/Jay's cousin, I really loved it too! It was so good to see her feel seen and appreciated.
LOL I actually think Nisaac fans MAY like this episode -> Isaac realized that Chris, someone he THOUGHT was his soulmate based off 1 stripping situation, was NOT his soulmate and the growth that he had with caring about Nigel's feelings enough to not tell him that Chris was basically over his live BF and Nigel in two seconds because he wants adventure.
But then again Nigel did seem to be bragging a bit. Also, with 2 more seasons, there's a lot more time to build.
OKAY, I was like now Alberta and HETTY are doing this too? They have to be building to something. 500 years it was a secret, suddenly Thor spills and now they're all teasing him? It has to be coming to Sass plot about it (I HOPE)!
ooooohhhhh
that's an interesting grade. C+?
hmmm. I really enjoyed it. I was doing a grading system but didn't get very far, maybe this summer, I'll re-watch and give them all grades and see where it lines.
I like the younger ghosts teaching Chris about ghost rules.
I like Hetty's power, but I hope that it's more than St Patty's Day, and it comes up again.
I liked Isaac realizing and GROWING OMG FINALLY. Even if he was hilariously cringy.
I liked Jay seeing Hetty BUT JESUS WHY GASLIGHT HIS COUSIN???
And Chris' ghost power gives him a reason to come and go better than Carol does.
So I was going to give it an A. Maybe?
Thoughts?

Gotta vent my frustrations with that finale because holy fuck. If you don't want negativity then don't click the cut.
So far I've been praising this series for drifting away from one of my biggest gripes with the show and that's the oversaturation of romantic couples over found family and friendships. That hasn't been much of an issue this series, I've loved all the little moments of comradery, for example how it was Isaac and Sam who came to talk to Hetty after her reveal rather than Trevor, as well as Sas bonding with Jay even if just for that one episode. I liked Flower's polyamory being brought up again and had hopes it wouldn't just be mocked again....we'll get to that.
But then this last episode decided to leave me with such a vile taste in my mouth I dunno if I'm gonna bother watching more.
First off I'm not a big Isaac and Nigel shipper so it's not like I'm super devastated they didn't get married but I thought they were cute enough. I praised the show before about having an on screen gay couple as opposed to the typical tragic bury your gays of Caphavers, even if they didn't have nearly as much chemistry as the couple who have three scenes together.
But now Nisaac is dead, or on a respite (OK that made me giggle), and we didn't even get to see them have their emotional talk, just have Isaac sum it up afterwards. The show had an opportunity for a really heartbreaking moment with just the two of them but instead we were left with "He took it well". And Isaac has been dragged into the mud which, I'll admit, was incredibly cathartic on behalf of the basement ghosts and Nancy in particular.
Honestly it's the Thor/Flower/Nancy stuff that angers me the most and had it not been there then I might not have brought up what happened with Nisaac, but it just adds into the whole "queerphobic" narrative by having your mlm couple split while the mlw couple admits their love and another random mlw couple gets their wedding (one half of which is a horrible character). I knew the throuple thing wasn't going to be long term but....why bring it in at all? Just to mock poly people? Why not just have Flower say she needed space to think before being with Thor again? Why the need to mock Nancy as the "disposable unconventionally attractive" third wheel?
As for Flower...talk about character assassination. So last week she's all "how dare you be so cruel to Nancy?" and in the premier the basement ghosts are saying how kind she was to them - now she's abandoning Nancy in the basement and doesn't care that Nisaac didn't invite them - yet Carol was there?! Flower is the only other queer main ghost besides Isaac yet her wlw relationships are treated as jokes of her being a "silly hippy" and apparently she wasn't into Nancy at all? That's that for the only wlw rep in the show I guess. It doesn't help that Thor and Flower have zero chemistry imo.
I'm not gonna pretend the main guys in the BBC show treated the plague ghosts that great but at least they were invited upstairs to watch the panto. Again the thing with Patience was the only saving grace and I like that the guys had no idea she would do that so they're not painted as evil.
As for Pete's subplot, I actually did like Donna and was glad she didn't turn out to be some femme fatal like she was coming off as. But again, we have yet another mlw romantic subplot - when instead we could have had Pete with his daughter and her family and having the same dilemma of if he wanted to disappear there or return to his new 'home'.
Not to mention how irrelevant Sam and Jay felt to the point I forgot they were even there. All previous finales have had some sort of stakes going on with them whether it be the floor collapsing or the fake cousin, but here they were barely spectators.
I think worst of all, it just wasn't that funny. Often I can forgive a comedy's writing so long as it still makes me laugh but I got nothing from this other than disgust. Maybe my feelings will cool by the time S4 rolls around but I can't see myself wanting more of this show.

OKAY I MADE IT GUYS
y'all o.o
that episode was so wild xD.
I'm still in shock lol
Okay so first of all uhhh I loved the cute Nigel and Isaac moments xD. And also this episode was hilarious lol. Having said that, I hope the bachelor party side of things is never referenced again 💀 XDD
I was warned and I still lost my mind slfjdhs
Anyway! Missed seeing much of Hetty and Pete today, but I'm sure we'll see them again soon :). And we did see them, it was just mostly in the beginning. Pete's outfit joke (and the fact that he kept saying it) was so funny xD. And Hetty doing her darndest as a wedding planner lol. Also her friendship with Alberta is so sweet :')). And calling her "Bertie" stooop they're so cute 😭🥺🥰.
I'm happy Alberta got to have a romance with a guy :D. And the poltergeist ghost lore was really cool :O :D! Poor Saul is kind of going through it overall though xD. But hey, he gets to travel :D. It has its benefits and its drawbacks compared to a car ghost lol, but it seems pretty chilling :)). It's too bad him and Alberta didn't work out :(, but they were cute while they lasted :D. And poor Jay xD. Glad bro's finally free lol. Even if he had to, but didn't actually have to, hug Jean in the process lol.
Trevor, the bad influence 💀. Lowkey despising what he's caused, but hey at least he made sure they both had fun and also equal experiences lol xD. I just hope it doesn't cause any problems in the future xd <3. Also AAHHHH they're getting married soon :'DD!! Stoppp I'm so excited :')). I love my idiots so much <33.
Also Thor's reaction to the stripper was hilarious xD. I just loved that moment lol. Also Sma at the end o.o. I mean get it girl but xdd girl xD. Also her just saying "yeah sure 😐' when they asked was wild but so real xDD. She'd had a rough week lol.
To sum up, here's what I sent to the person who warned me this episode was wild:
"am i watching a ghost get seduced by a dinosaur stripper"
And I think that's all that needs to be said 😌
Anyway, I did genuinely enjoy this episode xD. The second hand embarrassment is just strong with this one lol (as it tends to be in sitcoms slfjhdks xD). But!! Was living for the cute Nisaac moments :D, and we got some cool ghost lore! Plus, good for Alberta :)). She got some water lol. But yeah! Hilarious episode, really fun xD :). Loved it!!
And now I'm all caught up :D! It's been a fun (and wild) evening y'all :)). Thanks for joining me lol (am I a talk show host)!
Byeee :))!!
#ghosts#ghosts cbs#cbs ghosts#oasis's ghosts chatter#wow xD#just wild lol#good episode!#but absolutely wild o.o XDD#I love ghosts but I'm glad I was watching 9-1-1 on thursday 💀 xD#as I said while watching the episode#well#while having it paused at some point slfjskd#I would've enjoyed both it's just that big things are happening on 9-1-1 right now and this would've killed me xD#as it clearly did lol#I mean 9-1-1 did too but it was slightly easier slfkdjs#honestly though one of the main reasons I watch it and not ghosts live is because it's longer and I've been watching it live for longer lol#honestly maybe watching it longer period slfjdls#than ghosts' existence xd#anyway!! still love both but :D#good thing I was able to pause through this I guess lol#that's the main thing xD#lol#love y'all xDD :)) :D <33!!!!#byeee :)) ❤️❤️🥰🥰 <3!!!!

"The Isaac-Nigel dynamic still leaves room for buildup in season 2, he adds: 'There will be a kiss.'"
Me: *screaming crying throwing up*
#ghosts cbs#isaac x nigel#isaac higgintoot#nigel chessum#nisaac#lgbtqia+#they are going to kiss!!!#i'm going to lose my mind#also i had to chuckle that this was an article in The Wall Street Journal#i hope that the kiss is not going to be the end of the season thing#if anything i want Nigel moved into the mansion by the season 2 finale#the fact that the writers are already promising a kiss suggests an opening for more development beyond that IMO

Review Ramble!
Season two! Woo!
Spoilers for CBS Ghosts season two, episode one.
So it starts off recapping season one. Frankly I can’t be bothered to recap so you all are going to have to figure it out or just watch the show.
Jay is hoping his bump on the head means he can also see ghosts.
Well damn it. It was a cruel tease. Jay is hugging some random Living. Also he called everyone by name except Trevor who is stuck with No Pants lol.
Random Living is a delivery guy.
“Damn it,” - Jay. Appropriate, very appropriate. Poor guy just wants to see and interact with the ghosts! You know what? No one was using their powers so I’m holding on to my theory that Jay can see the ghosts but only when they use their power.
Cue opening credits - WHY IS THERE A SWORD/KNIFE/DAGGER ON THE DESK NOW? WHICH GHOST DOES THAT REPRESENT?
We’re not counting the guests from season one finale because they both left the B&B and left a scathing one-star review on yelp. Do people still use yelp? Did people actually use yelp?
Nigel is at the manor, watching some show with Isaac, Hetty, Thor & Sas. He’s rather uncomfortable.
Sas is the one encouraging direct communication. Guess the incoming B&B guests are intriguing enough.
So the doorbell rings.
Pete finds the guests suspicious and is going all detective on their asses.
Meanwhile in the Shed, Isaac is attempting to persuade Nigel to come up to the manor. Apparently there is Ant Drama in the shed.
The British soldier that is Nigel’s ex (I’m not even going to try and remember his name, he’s Ex-Boy from now on) is still in the shed. Isaac is uncomfortable.
Also cut to both Ex-Boy and the other one (Music Boy?) watching Nisaac. Oh, good for Isaac, he went direct and asked.
Yeah, it’s two seasons in and I’m still horrible with names.
It’s about Thor. Poor Thor. Although I’d probably be just as uncomfortable with Thor as Nigel IRL but I’m watching tv so who cares.
Isaac mentions he will ask Thor to tone it down which isn’t going to end well, I can tell.
Ooh, Ex-Boy is smarting at this scene. Considering the Drama he caused in the season one finale, is he going to cause more Drama?
“And see what they’re doing,” - Trevor
“They’re like sixty,” - Sas
Don’t age-and-kink-shame Sas.
Alberta brings up the possibility of spying on the guests to ensure a good review and not for the ghosts' entertainment (but probably mostly for the ghosts’ entertainment). Jay is against this idea. Sam pretends to agree but then goes to Alberta’s plan.
Oh return of the Basement Ghost that pretended to be Pete’s GF that one time. She’s come up to say Thor is in the basement and ruining the mood.
Lol “British Boy Toy” from Basement-Ghost. Excellent. Can she stay upstairs?
Ooh, Sas is demanding Isaac to apologize for Does Oskar-the-Squirrel have BFF competition?
Isaac is refusing because the thing with Nigel is new.
Well, Hetty at least thanked Basement Ghost. Progress for Hetty!
Meanwhile with Spying, Jay ended up putting it together.
So the show the other ghosts are watching brings up loyalty to friends. Sas and Hetty are pretty much passive-aggressively guilt-tripping Isaac.
You know what, the conflict wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be.
Omg Thor likes watching ants as well. These boys are bonding. YAY BONDING!
And I forgot about the Complaining Guests. Oops.
“Tom and Debbie suck,” - Jay who said it so passionately. Also Alberta agrees and we all know Alberta is always right.
Oh Trevor has rushed in to say they don’t like Sam’s perfume (and he doesn’t agree with them). Backstory for perfume: Sam’s mum gave it to her before she passed and there’s only a little amount left so Sam uses it sparingly.
Jay was already upset at the constant negativity to Sam but now he’s mad.
Jay is marching out. What is he going to do?
“And her voice is mellifluous,” - Jay. Did he finish a crossword puzzle again?
The guests have got to be wondering how Jay and Sam know about their complaints.
Oooooooooh, it turns out the guests thought the yelp reviews were anonymous. Omg the other review that Jay-and-Sam read was the wife’s sister’s place. Omg.
Okay, the guests left five-star reviews and claimed that their yelp account was hacked. Jay asks if this will be the last time Sam uses the ghosts behind his back - so is that going to be an oncoming plot thread? Who knows?
Now excuse me, I’m off to read that fic of Nigel and Thor watching ants.

Another (possible) unpopular opinion
I kinda want the finale to have something Issac/Nissac related?? Idk, I just like having them as the finale.
I know it's a big criticism that "Isaac gets too many episodes" but also...he's my fav so I'm really biased lmao. I also just like the repetition of it? I'm just a big Isaac fan, and if nigel's in it- you better BELIEVE I'm eating that shit up.
We don't get many Nigel focused episodes, so the best I can do is a Nisaac one. I'll take what I can get yk?
(Hoping s5 or 6 let the shed ghosts get a main plot line- just them, no Isaac, just them 🙏)

I think they said something about the finale being a full house, and since it will be partly about Isaac's book being promoted, I expect Nigel to be there at least. And maybe the other shed ghosts as well.
But I do hope we will see them a bit sooner.
Guh youre right, Nigel is prob gonna be there since the finale always expend on Nisaac
But I do wish we see Jenkins too, pls I need my weirdo back

JenChris is so funny and I hope they go with it instead of just getting rid of Chris when Nisaac get together, he's a hilarious character to me and I hope we see more of him.
I'm imagining that Chris keeps flirting with Jenkins but Jenkins is so focused on Nigel that it's all going over his head. Chris will be blatantly obvious, just short of asking him out, and Jenkins is like 'yeah whatever, where's Nigel??'
Then he finally gets a clue that the hot dinostripper is into him and just has No Idea what to do with that information. He's been so obsessed with Nigel for so many years he has no idea what to do about someone else being into Him.
I think it would be funny to see Jenkins try to figure out what to do about someone being into him first instead of pining after a guy who doesn't really want him - suddenly faced with being genuinely desired instead of being a rebound/second choice.
As for Chris, I want to see him click with all the other ghosts and think Isaac's cool and all but there's just something up with this other guy that intrigues him. Jenkins will say some weird shit and Chris is like 'oh I can't Not fuck him'
Anyway I hope Chris becomes a recurring character even if he doesn't get with Jenkins but it would be so good if they did and I hope there's content for JenChris even if they don't get together cause it's such a crackship it works perfectly
Thanks for liking Jenchris!!!! Your hc are so funny, I love that!!
I also think that Jenkins is overfocused on Nigel he doesnt realize Chris is interested and when he realizes hes super confused bc hes never been the first choice for hundred of years!!
Even if Jenchris has little chance of being canon, I do rlly start to enjoy the ship and talk abt it with everyone here!! Thank you guys so much for liking this funny ship I made up!!!

I get migraines too and hope SO much yours has already faded--they're the worst! Okay, so I'm the anon who suggested that maybe we should lower our expectations where Nisaac is concerned because while the writers will likely feel obligated to shove them back together eventually, they really don't seem interested in showing that Isaac feels regretful or even loved Nigel in the first place. I saw a poll where a fair amount of fans are now hoping Nigel and Isaac both find other people instead and can't blame them. So yeah I wasn't trying to be a downer just kind of preparing us so we won't be as disappointed---I really don't think we're going to get good Nissac stuff until maybe around the season finale, and even then it won't feel very authentic or earned because they've made Isaac so much more of a jerk this season while really acting like he never cared for Nigel at all.
Thanks Anon. Honestly I thought about you right after the episode was over and about how you said the writers weren’t done having Isaac hit new lows, and I feel like I owe you an apology 😅. You were right, and this low is LOW. I really felt like the premise for this episode had so much potential to move Isaac’s story forward and give him meaningful development. Now I feel like…

Isaac is becoming so unrecognizable from the character he was in earlier seasons. Both in his characterization and in how the writers treat him. He feels like this season’s punching bag and he’s so stagnant.
Honestly he feels like he’s now the character that I feared he would be in season 1 when he was first introduced. He was the butt of the joke, perpetual closet case with no room for growth because his sexuality needed to keep being played for laughs. And that’s all I initially expected him to be, like so many other queer characters on television. But what I loved so much about this character is how quickly he subverted those expectations! Season 1 gave him room for development and his growth was so well paced and so heartwarming to watch.
Now it feels like we’re back to before all that. Like the writers can’t let him grow out of being an incompetent jerk because they need to keep playing it for laughs. And the plot of Isaac taking more time to really know himself and what he wants out of love that was set up in the S3 finale has been seemingly abandoned (or at least shelved)
I am so confused by these choices. And I agree with you. I also don’t see a path for a satisfactory ending for nisaac at this point. I’d love to be wrong! I’d love to be pleasantly surprised by next weeks episode and by the rest of the season, but I’m not getting my hopes up again. We’ll see what happens 🤷🏽♀️
I’ll end this here because I’m probably going to end up making a deep dive post about this character anyway.
But yeah Anon

He looked so relieved and joyful and excited to be married to him. I can’t believe that ALL of that just disappeared after Pete’s speech. I expected so much more from season 4.
Y’know what, I’m gonna do some stream of consciousness ranting under the cut here
The little bits and pieces of progress that we got were good. And they almost make me want to overlook all the bad stuff. I thought the nisaac plot in Sad Farnsby was great, as well as the nisaac/Chris plot in St Hetty’s Day. But that’s it. Two good moments in 22 episodes.
Given how much importance Nigel and Isaac had in the plot of the previous 3 seasons, this is such a baffling choice to me.
At the very least, it seems like the groundwork is laid to build something in season 5. I really really hope so. They already hinted at Chris coming back for Halloween. That could create some drama and get things in motion. I’m honestly excited for that.
But (at least for Isaac) this was just a season of wasted potential. And I am also baffled by the choices for his characterization.
I think Primary Source made me angrier than the season 3 finale. It almost feels like there’s a reluctance to tell any story there at all. That episode was about Isaac! About how he saw his own life. That’s such an opportunity to give insight into his character. And what we were told was that he was vacant and vapid. It was literally nothing. If I let myself be a bit dramatic I’d say it feels almost like it’s mocking the audience for expecting characterization. And with the vampire allegory, it feels like he’s being put back in the closet.
I want to talk about this more and I’d love to hear some different perspectives on this. I will do the wise thing and sleep first.
His face when Nigel says he’ll stay. Make it make sense
