Looking in the notes of my posts, I didn't realise everyone in this fandom liked math so much. But a very mention of the number 4, and everyone likes square numbers and math puns. Go figure.

it is ok to enjoy things you like to watch/read and engage with. there is nothing to be ashamed of in that regard. also dandadan is extremely tame and literally i feel like people blow its themes WAY out of proportion.

“there are teens in their underpants!!! or naked sometimes!!” i think this may be controversial to say but im about to blow your mind….. the fact that there are teens in their undies or even naked doesnt equate to sexualization! we arent supposed to find those scenes sexy. we are supposed to be either embarrassed for them (like the scene where okarun and momo are caught in the hallway), or its played for laughs. never is it meant to be taken in a “sexy” kind of way. like we arent really given a lot of male gaze scenes of momo or aira, and when okarun is naked/in his undergarments, its often played EXCLUSIVELY for comedic effect

i think you all are genuinely afraid to be cancelled/shunned just for liking a fictional/animated show that features partial nudity of 16-17 year olds. and that is a little sad to me! if you like the show for its storytelling and characters and whatnot, then go ahead and like it!!!!

I'm not completely sure what these are and I'm quite curious as to learn more since what iv heard of so far, it sounds like a compelling story.

Alrighty, I'll try to answer this the best I can... didn't know I talked about these things that much...

Basically underverse is an ongoing series based on Undertale and a BUNCH of aus!! An au just means Alternate Universe, for instance underswap, it swaps the character roles, or Outertale, where instead of underground they're all in SPACE!! Not sure if you're familiar with these, but in short an au can just change anything and everything of the original universe, the setting, character roles, designs - everything!!

Underverse has its own story and plot, it introduces a new au too, with new characters like Cross and Xgaster. It's like a freaking anime even!!? I watched it a while back on YouTube, here's a link to the first episode!! (Well, the first one I watched, 0.0, there's also XTale which I HIGHLY recommend watching as well, you can find it all on Jakei's channel!!!) ;D

And all the other aus, I mostly read comics or found art and looked up about it. That's how I found out about TS!UNDERSWAP and Undertale Yellow!! Both fantastic fangames!! Seriously, check them out, that's the way I found about them and a BUNCH more, there's so much out there if you look!!!

Yes underverse is SO good!! You'll have a BLAST watching it all!! I'm actually thinking of rewatching it, now that I understand the aus a bit more... XD

Idea that bandanna dee reminds dedede of Box Dee

Hm… I’m assuming you meant to say Bow Dee, anon? If so, then I can kinda see why you’d think that.

While I wouldn’t call it a one-to-one comparison (Bow is a bit more impulsive and abrasive, while Bandee can be nervous and kind-hearted to a fault), there are definitely some parallels you can draw between them: the energetic personality, the love of adventure, the courage to stand up to danger despite the odds, etc. Dedede doesn’t get to see Bow as often in the future - busy with their duties aboard the Halberd after earning the title of Sailor Dee - but I think he’d still pick up on these similarities regardless, having grown up with one and practically helped raise the other (or so he boasts).

On one hand, it’s probably nostalgic for him to see glimpses of his old friends in the young spearwielder - smart and skilled (and a little skittish) like his father, brave and joyful (and a little reckless) like his godparent. It’s like little reminders of his youth, the adventures had and memories made, living on in the next generation.

But, on the other hand, he might feel a pang of dread. “Oh great - now there’s two of them.”

Headcanon, that while there is a rather large height difference between Ozzie and Ed, that is no problem because Oz is an incredible kisser. All in the "knees going week" way but literally. lmao someone said that dan da dan doesn't have enough material for bl ships because yujinobu tatsu actually knows how to write female characters since he was told to read a lot of shoujo to understand how to do it. and that ohba should follow the same example instead of inserting incel messages in his mangas because he got upset people shipped his male characters together

and honestly? yeah. also i think the editor helps A LOT, since ddd's editor is the same editor of fujimoto's chainsaw man and tatsuda's spyxfamily.

despite what men with zero comprehensive skills say, I do believe fujimoto's female characters are well written and key parts of the plot considering more than half of the cast in csm is female and the most powerful characters too. ohba could NEVER write an Asa Mitaka. NEVER. She's the embodiment of a female teenager who's very implied to be neurodivergent. Asa Mitaka is by far one of the best female characters written by a man in shounen. If Denji is relatable for men, Asa is for women. And I don't fucking understand how fujimoto DID THAT. he understands women more than I do.

I think the case of Fujimoto's female characters and his incredible understanding of girlhood is because he consumes a lot of media with different portrays of women. Fujimoto's great love for movies may be the thing that helps him a lot. Also the fact that ROLEPLAYING AS HIS NONEXISTENT LIL SISTER IN TWITTER may help too. and that he wants women to step on him. I will never stop talking about Fujimoto because part of me HATES him and part of me deeply admires him. I just want to open his brain and see how it works because I want mine to be like that tOo
