In the meantime, here's Lord Egalmoth with Huor as the lord shows off his fancy towers and views to the young one! I had a really strong image in my head of Egalmoth, given that his heraldry involves the rainbow, so I knew he was going to have layers of colourful cloth. He also has the specific jewels of his heraldry shaped as orbs hanging from his layers XD I really like how it all turned out!

As you tidied up the studio you glanced over at your boyfriend, Rafayel, who was currently yelling at someone over the phone. It was most likely Thomas, he was the only one Rafayel ever got mad at. Your boyfriend was normally calm, and riding the waves of life with a smile. But he took his art seriously.

“I don’t care, just find them!” Rafayel says as he hangs up the phone. He plops down on the couch, laying down and looking up at the ceiling.

“Honey?” You ask gently. “What happened?”

“They lost the entire collection. The truck is gone, they can’t find it,” Rafayel says bleakly.

“Oh my gosh-“ You sit next to him. “Honey, I’m so sorry,”

“I don’t have time to mope,” He sighs and stands. “I need to go have a virtual meeting with the gallery director about the lighting. The lighting for the paintings that won’t be there,”

Normally his sarcastic comments make you chuckle, but his face was giving away his true mood. Rafayel heads to his desk to get on the video call, and you're left stumped. You could go to the showcase and find the paintings, but you're sure that there's already so many staff looking. You could make food, but Rafayel needed more that a quick hit of food induced dopamine. Rafayel needed a solution.

You grab a nearby blank canvas. It was a small canvas, 10 x 8, but you weren't sure you could get anything bigger done in time. While Rafayel normally does oil glazing in his paintings, he had other paints. You settle on acrylics, their fast drying time being the better option.

You get to work, making something, anything that can hang in the showcase on Rafayel's behalf. An abstract painting with lines and curves, splatters, you put your love of him into every stroke.

As soon as it's done, you grab a hair dryer. You blast it on high, trying to get it to dry so you can seal it. Before you can, Rafayel comes in.

"Cutie-?" He tilts his head, looking at you quizzically. "What are you doing?"

"I made you something," You turn it around slowly. "It's not done yet, so don't judge.."

He looks it up and down, opening his mouth and then closing it. It's as if he cant find the words to describe the feeling in his heart.

"You made this for me?" He says quietly. His eyes are full of adoration as he looks over at you.

"Yes," You look down and mumble. "I thought it might be a good replacement for the work that went missing. I know its nothing like what you made, and its not big, and-"

"I love it," He cuts you off with a hug. "Its perfect, wonderful even!"

You sink into the hug sighing softly. Seeing him in a better mood makes your heart melt.

"You really have the best ideas, Cutie," He smiles, kissing your forehead. "I'll make it the center of my collection at the showcase! But wait, they cant keep this one, it's got to come back and be hung up here! I'll find the perfect place and buy a spot light!"

"Wait- the center? I thought they were all gone?"

"Oh yeah, they found all the paintings," He smiles cheerily at you. "But I'm not really worried about them."

Almost all of this is repurposed from something else I was trying to work out for myself, before finding one single line of a codex entry that answered my question but I had somehow skipped every time prior to now. I figured it might still be a useful reference post for someone, so I reformatted, cut some stuff, and added some stuff.

As of the quest, Coffee with the Crows, Antiva as a whole is still occupied by the Antaam.

"Now we have Qunari in control of all Antiva. Treviso is like their favorite toy. They flaunt the occupation here, showing off how they took charge of our poor, lawless people for their own good. I know you [Lucanis] just got out and too much has happened already, but we still have work to do."

2. The King of Antiva is still free, not under house arrest or a hostage, etc. However, he is not currently assisting with the resistance towards Qunari occupation.

Teia (Codex): We aren't required to give His Majesty a point-by-point, but he's your blood, Viago. It is a courtesy to let him know we are going to war."

Ivenci: "Without you, the king would be forced to deal with this mess. To give proper power to real officials."

Teia: People are desperate. We need to arrange shipments of water from further inland. Viago : (snorts) Maybe the king can be convinced to build an aqueduct—if we involve his favorite sculptors. Teia : It is not a bad time to ask him for aid. Viago : (sighs) I'll go.

3. The Antaam started by invading Antiva and northern Rivain, then used that as a launch point to conquer half of the rest of northern Thedas.

When the Antaam invaded the South, the people there were completely unprepared. Antiva and northern Rivain were overrun quickly, with the invaders pushing down through the Green Dales to the Minanter River, leaving only the southernmost of the Free Marches spared. From there, the Antaam pushed west, overpowering Tevinter magic with gaatlok cannons and brute strength until the defenders finally held at Vyrantium. Nevarra was spared, likely due to the Antaam fears of necromancy and unwillingness to attack until Tevinter was conquered, but almost half of northern Thedas fell to Antaam rule in just a few years...

4. Although the Antaam still hold all of Antiva, they have struggled with supply chains as none of their support teams defected with them. They have been reliant on seizing the resources of occupied territories, presenting a possible weakness.

It is also important to note that the Antaam fought alone. With little in the way of supply lines or experts in food production—the craftspeople and strategic experts who would normally support them had not broken from the Qun when the Antaam did—the invaders needed to attack to keep eating. When they encountered resistance that would have forced a siege, the Antaam invasion stalled. The kithshoks who wished only to conquer now had to learn to rule the lands they would claim.

Lucanis: The Crows may have something. The Antaam are moving large quantities of supplies out of the city. Weapons, armor, gaatlok…And food. About half our remaining provisions. Enough to feed the Antaam navy.

Civilian 1: You went to the physician? Civilian 2 : She stitched it well enough. Gave me what she could to ward infection. Civilian 2 : What she could? Civilian 1 : The Antaam confiscated half her supplies. Said they need it for their army.

5. Josephine Montilyet's family and their estate in Antiva City appear to be safe, and potentially operating somewhat normally . Antiva City is also the capital where the King reigns.

6. Teia and Viago have left behind their home territories of Rialto and Salle to join with Caterina in Treviso.

It's unknown if the presence of the Cantori Diamond predates the occupation, but this might mean they are choosing to show a united front in the city most threatened or most symbolic and move outward from there to then retake their own territories.

Possibly this is a deliberate alliance due to Teia, Viago, and Caterina being three of the four Talons to survive the initial attempt to sell Antiva out to the Antaam by a rival House.

This might also be supported by the unimplemented Codex Entry: Many Houses, One Roost. However, many things in the game files were struck on purpose, or contradict the final canon.

7. The Antaam control the port in Treviso, limiting the availability of supplies. However, they don't entirely restrict entering ships, instead taking a "cut" of the foodstuffs they do permit.

Rivain at least is working to send supplies through anyway.

Treviso has always been a free port. Even the Merchant Princes respect this. Their fortunes exist because we trade and work where we will. So of course, the first act of the Antaam invasion was to blockade our trading ships with their dreadnoughts

Crow Prisoner: The Antaam kept me alive so they could use me to trick Rivain into sending more supplies....Thank you for your timely arrival. I'll get the supplies to Treviso… and pay back the Antaam there.

8. The Antaam across nations aren't working together, but have broken into smaller bands. Any coordination seems to be from the Evanuris.

The Butcher seems primarily occupied with Treviso, so we have no information about who is occupying the rest of Antiva or any alliances they might have.

Evidence: Warlords of the Antaam

It is easy to think that the Antaam broke from the Qunari as one, but the reality is that of a vase shattering into countless shards, each broken in its own way, reflecting the warlord who now leads each kith. Some, like the Butcher in Treviso, use their new freedom to indulge in cultures long forbidden to them. Others, like Ataashok (Dragon King) or Isskatari (Master Killer) in Rivain, reject foreign cultures and either lean on the trappings of the Antaam or invent a heritage to inspire the loyalty of their soldiers. What seems consistent among the Antaam warlords is cruelty, from Baqounasaar (Flaming Wind), whose ships terrorize the northern coast, to Kashtaar (Jewel-Taker), whose kith have become a bandit army in the mountains outside Marothius.

about a year ago i was mutuals with @/fukit-im-bucket we weren't friends but we were friendly, ya know? then one day outta nowhere he blocked me and in the main fandom tags vagueposted about how he was soooo sad to learn a long time mutual was a secret proshipper and he felt soooo gross for ever having interacted with that disgusting person. the person who informed me of the post let me know she didn't publicly use my name but was DMing people who asked so like. i was kinda bitter about being maintag vagued and called a disgusting person, but i was thankful she didn't name me directly at least so i move on with my life

this May i start planning a rerun of Dimple Week. i announce it on the blog, i post prompts, and a few days after i posted prompts it occurred to me i could crosspost to my twt and bsky. since those sites run off hashtags i could just drop prompts and a tag for people to use and wouldn't have to run a dedicated account. i go on twt and start looking up the commonly used mp100/Dimple tags and because twitter's block function Doesn't Fucking Work i see a post from Prince announcing dates and prompts for an alt Dimple week created specifically because of me

i don't own the concept of "running a character themed prompt event" but this felt really shitty. organizing an identical event because my cooties are so bad people can't even stand that i like the same character as them. after this i did seriously consider not running Dimple Week because if my involvement was making people so uncomfortable what's even the point. i hate the idea of upsetting people just trying to have fun, but i decided that since Prince was running theirs in twt and insta and on different dates i'd just keep mine as is to Tumblr

there was literally no reason for this. no one was asking Prince why he wasn't doing Dimple week, he dropped this on the first day instead of any point before or after, and he's suddenly offering to host on on Tumblr as well as twt and insta. we all know how nebulous the term "proshipper" can be so not offering literally any details lets people fill in the blanks for what possible evil thing i could've done. i do not have a secret alt where i "endorse and create proship content" i'm very open about my ships and the sort of stuff i like to make (and in fact there are a handful of posts i've made that Prince would've had to have been actively ignoring my tags/artistic intent to not realize were ship posts) i don't force my ships onto anyone or try to secretly sneak them in to works/convos/events

Prince could've at any point DMed me to clear things up but instead she's vagued about me, made it sound like i'm a creep and a liar, and tried to ostracize me from the fandom for almost a year. i have not interacted with Prince in any why shape or form since she blocked me, but i'm so tired of putting up with her spreading rumors about me. again this isn't a callout, i'm not trying to get Prince canceled or whatever but their behavior is just childish at this point. block as you will and move on with your lives from this whole "this could've been a DM" situation like i'm just trying to do

We have a lot of new-ish faces in this part of my story, and that’s because we’re getting to know Atlas, Asher, and Lex’s friend group! They’re all going to be sticking around for a bit, whether they’ll be background characters or take on more important roles remains to be seen. Either way, I thought it would be a good idea to take a minute to officially introduce them all and tell you how they all know each other.

Now, I say “new-ish” faces because all of these characters were in The Past arc in the last part of my story. Some of them had dialogue, but most were just milling about in the background. The important thing to know is that they’ve all been friends for years and have become a pretty tight-knit little group.

Aside from Atlas, he gets along most with Charlee, Blair, and Kamryn… and apparently, he’s hooking up with Charlee now… I didn’t see that coming, but I love that for them.

Well I've got pretty bad news

I'm not too sure when I'll be posting. I can't make anything right now, art is the only thing I can do but I'm not sure what it is but it's disagreeing with me so I can not make any art. I don't really have anything else I can do so I might just be sleeping until things are normal again, sleeping for months till something works

It's actually depressing but sadly it's out of my control and there's nothing I can do about it.

I wish I could make atleast a small doodle but I can't even get myself to do that either, I'm sorry about that

Yokai to Human Form Tidbit

Ok so there's human designs/ forms for Caspian's yokai friends 1, for fun, and 2, cause there's some situations where it's convenient/just better to have some in human forms (EX: Whisper coming to Caspian's choir concerts and conferences bc his parents are. fairly absent). Everyone has their own opinions on it and stuff and in this post I'ma talk about Baddinyan's!!

So fun little fact he does Not Like being human. This is mostly for body dysphoria adjacent feelings, like all of a sudden he has different hair, no fur, different ear placement, etc. The 'phantom limb' thing tends to happen with his tails, too, which is trippy and kinda uncomfortable. He also hates that a lot of his senses are dulled. smell, hearing, sight (especially in the dark), it makes everything feel kinda hazy and causes him to be a lot more stressed about everything.

Idk maybe I just think it's kinda funny to see a character thrown into a whole new form and reasonably be like. what. the hell this sucks. His easygoing (nice way of me saying his lazy ahh) and usually pretty chill/surprisingly level-headed mood is def worsened when he's constantly feeling skin that doesn't technically belong to him. A form he shouldn't really have.

As a result, he's oftentimes irritable and anxious in this form, with some days being better than others. He typically avoids having to use it unless he needs to though, and refuses to take his glasses off for anything. Has to be bribed with a Chocobar to enma forbid go out in public. He's also less used to it than most due to his extreme aversion to it. He just hates it and everything is physically gross and cloudy and nothing's in the right place and he can't explain why.

Badude, on the other hand, doesn't mind being human! It feels more similar to his body than it does for Baddinyan, and is kind of a fun change of pace every now and then. He's Baddinyan's like. closest friend besides Caspian in this AU, so he's typically who's convincing him to not kill everyone in the room and/or take off the stupid leaf in public lol. Their convos can sometimes go like

"C'mon, it's just until we get outta the store. Don't get your non-existent tails in a twist-"

"Shut up and do nyot remind me right nyeow."

"(Oh it's like. that kind of day whoopsies) Mbmb, we can ditch these nerds and go look at the candy isle or somethin' for a bit..?"

He stinks at comforting people or anything like that but tries. Sometimes. idiots

Feeling like I have to have a (dirty) little secret at all times or I start spiraling. Secretly looking at hentai in public, hiding the marks I got from hurting myself (in a pleasurable way), keeping a weird item in my pocket like a small stuffed animal/baby accessory or a knife or something, secretly not wearing underwear or wearing a chastity belt, wearing a bracelet with questionable words on it like "missing" or "nymph", secretly hurting myself in public usually by over pruning, etc.

On the outside some of these may not seem bad but it is highly questionable in my line of work. Some of these may seem very extreme and unhealthy. But I gotta tell ya, it helps me get through the day by day without my brain making me crash out.
