Synastry Observation 🕯️

Please don't take this as astrological facts. These are more my experience and perspective. The whole chart and aspects must also be considered.

👥 As much as I love a good moon in the 11th, I do recall every person showing some sort of over interest in my longterm goals and who I am friends with. It kinds gives they feel some type of way about the friends you make or can get very personally offended by the way you go after your goals and even the community you’re in. Of course more with affliction and squares to your eighth.

👥 I always recommend if looking into synastry for families/generational curses/childhood trauma/familial bonds to look at their Lilith energy between each other. My family member who birthed me has their Lilith retrin my 12th house. I always think they are trying to have power over me subconsciously or questioning my mental health (12 house). Over all a hidden opp at times but very dedicated and nosey on what plans or how to crack your code.

👥 Saturn in the 8th house is oppressive in synastry in many ways if not balanced. I find these individuals are pocketwatchers to your debt towards them even when they give it comes with some resentment.

👥 Yes that mans venus is touching exactly on your mars, I think your attracted and may want to you know. Yes your venus is touching their mars … yes they want you or maybe they have thought about it. In context to most sexual and relationship area this aspect creates the right tension. It is not as direct as mars wanting you in the first house it is a take you out to dinner first kind of fuck you.

👥 Mars in the 1st house either wants to fuck you, compete with you or argue, fight with you or just all of the above. At some point 🤷🏾‍♀️ to some degree maybe so.

👥 Uranus in the 9th may feel estranged to your dreams/goals/ideologies. They may come from a different religion that may demonize or judge your beliefs. They feel your way of life is a revolution to their own. It either tears you down or feels welcomed by its difference.

👥 If your parent has their neptune in your 10th house of Career/Legacy/Who your parents want you to be/Your social status...I do feel for the way they project and want to control you. Very controlling of the narrative of who you want to be. They project their own failures and need to do what they never got to do. 👥 10th house synastry is superficial. If I were to say anything else. No matter the placement, they all manifest this differently but in the same energy. 👥 As much as that Moon/Mars is gonna draw you is as much as it’s gonna fuck you over....you will be annoyed by what drew you in 😬. And the thing with this placement that I picked up on is that they don’t have a care in the world either, they can rarely get embarrassed or they just simply don’t care what they do and who sees them. This is a very lucky placement so your spouse can generally have luck with anything they they do, they can have luck in the most simple of things and they may not even realise that it’s lucky because it happens to them all the time so they don’t even second guess it.

They can develop a lot of luck when they are working on themselves and being mindful and bettering their mental health and so forth. They can tend to have luck when they travel, seek a religion or have faith in anything. Rating my astrology placements (and yours... maybe)

Cancer venus- 8/10 I feel like I feel this one quite strongly. I fall in love (or the idea of it lol) quite quickly and I can really romanticise people. I can't always tell if I am in love with someone or just really admire them platonically, which is a bit confusing ngl. I can never have a crush on more than one person at once. I have so much empathy and love for my friends and I'd genuinely do anything for them. I think there is so much beauty in longing and just emotions in general. ALSO I am obsessed with the friends to lovers trope.

Gemini rising- 9/10 Honestly if it wasn't for this placement I'd be the biggest freaking recluse ever. I literally have to give my opinion/share my experiences on everything especially online lol. I find socialising very exciting. My mind is all over the place and I have so many conflicting thoughts at once. Very adaptable, good at blending in with social situations. Having a broad knowledge of a lot of things is helpful too but sometimes I struggle when it gets too specific. I luuuurve being percieved as witty and funny. Sometimes I find it difficult to calm down or to focus on one thing. ALWAYS losing, dropping, forgetting stuff. INDECISIVE AF and childish in a good way.

4h Stellium- (sun, mars, mercury, jupiter) 6/10 Honestly have a love/hate thing with this one. I have such a weird relationship w/ my family, especially extended family. I love my home and I feel deeply connected to it, especially that I've lived in the same house all my life. My home is a sanctury to me and I want it to be as cozy as possible. Being an only child, it has always been my dream to grow up and have a fairly big family, 3-4 kids.

Capricorn moon- 7/10 Sometimes I wish I was more able to be soft. I am very nurturing but in my own way. So loyal and steady and reliable and strong but people don't always appreciate these things. Emotional nurturance growing up was almost non existent. Very sensitive underneath. This placement is kind of like an armour. I have to say though, although I am very dedicated to my work and use it to avoid my feelings, I have never met a capricorn moon that wants a corporate job and is the stereotypical 'workaholic'. We're actually susceptible to getting burnt out pretty easily. Very cautious even when I was a kid, hate taking risks. The pessimistic thing is absolutely true though, we're just good at hiding it.

2h venus and saturn- 8/10 I have never really had to worry about money which is great. Tricky relationship w/ food for most of my life but I really do love it and use it as a comfort.

8h moon- 5/10 This is a placement that everyone knows sucks. And yeah it kinda does especially as a child. Financial and physical support, big inheritance from family but basically no emotional support at all (+ capricorn so you can imagine). Guilt and other very heavy emotions imposed by family. BUT I do feel like this is a very baddass placement. I can feel the energy of people and places without even having the words to describe it. I have become very good at knowing who is good for me and who is not. I can always see things coming ages before it happens. Doesn't mean I listen to it though LOL so I am always disappointed but never surprised.

Leo mercury (retrograde) 6/10 Oh man. Having mercury retrograde is interesting. Leo mercuries are funny and bright and communicate with 'flare' I feel like. And while I do this to a certain extent, it can get a bit convoluted along the way. I am a pretty entertaining storyteller, I talk fast, I am pretty dramatic (outwardly at least) and I love making people laugh and love talking. I dislike small talk, I just kind of find it boring and pointless and kind of uncomfortable at times but I can do it fairly well, its not like I don't know how to, I would just prefer not to. (I feel like being a gemini rising kind of counteracts some of the issues I have with mercury being rx in my chart). Im very introspective but I think about myself way too much, too much internal jumbled dialogue, like pls just SHUT UP. Growing up I LOVED being on stage and I would still probably be doing it had life not taken me down a different path.

# astrology confessions 2 ₊˚⊹ ᰔ

Hii again :) This might just turn into a series because, honestly, I’m a total nerd for astrology and tarot. Now that I’ve learned a bit more about reading birth charts and the cards, I’d love to share my thoughts with others.

As I mentioned in my last confessions, I enjoy analyzing the birth charts of famous people I admire. I usually just check their sun signs, but I’m thinking about diving deeper into other placements too. Just for context, I recently graduated with a degree in communications and am now pursuing a postgrad in filmmaking, focusing on screenwriting and directing. So, naturally, I started looking up the sun signs of famous directors.

Of course, I know astrology isn’t scientifically proven, and there are countless factors to consider in both filmmaking and astrology. But I can’t help but find it fascinating how certain signs seem to fit so well with the personalities and creative styles of these filmmakers. My initial research was pretty general, but I noticed a strong pattern: many of the most successful and heavily marketed directors are fire signs—especially aries and leo, with a few sags in the mix—as well as libras. And honestly, it makes so much sense. Fire signs and libras really fit that classic image of a director of bold, charismatic, commanding the room, larger-than-life storytellers who thrive in the spotlight.

As a scorpio, I was kinda curious to find more water sign representation in filmmaking. That’s when I discovered that Jordan Peele and Sean Baker are both pisces (love them!). And it just fits—you can really feel their sensitivity in their work. Peele, with his dreamy yet grounded storytelling, and Sean, who turns the everyday lives of marginalized people into something deeply cinematic.

Just out of curiosity, I also looked up Sofia Coppola and Wes Anderson (love them too!), and it turns out they’re both taureans. Again, it's just perfect—their meticulous attention to aesthetics, their dedication to creating visually stunning films, and that earthy sense of beauty and order that taurus embodies.

Now, you might be wondering (or not!) if I found any directors who share my sun sign. And the answer is yes—Martin Scorsese is actually a scorpio sun and pisces moon, just like me! The funny thing is, he’s not actually my favorite director, nor has he made my favorite films, but I deeply admire and respect his work. I can see those placements reflected in his storytelling—the dark, intense atmosphere, the exploration of life’s darker aspects, and the way his films feel like real life is being told in a way that it could only belong in fiction.

I just love seeing my different obsessions all coming together! It’s fascinating how each director infuses their unique creative vision with a bit of themselves. And as an aspiring filmmaker, I hope that one day, even if just in the smallest way, I can create something that reflects my own perspective of life and creative vision to the world just like them.

If found in 3rd, 6th, 9th or 12th house you’ll likely think deeply about how you should approach the needs of your partner, where the 2nd, 4th and 8th will take in the emotions of their partners. 1st, 5th, 10th and 11th will try to be proactive and take initiative.

- Fire Mars are very passionate lovers and if they make a close positive aspect to Venus, Moon or Pluto it can be a very empowering experience for them.

- Jupiter in 5th makes a very playful lover who likes to have little jokes and share silly things with their partner.

-Jupiter can also show where you can use your charm to get results so for example a Gemini who is naturally a good communicator will be able to charm others with their words whereas Pisces may charm them with their imagination.

- Saturn will show you where you feel you’re being restricted in love or lack a discipline. With Sagittarius here you may struggle to settle down but with Cancer here you may fall in love too deep, too quickly.

As promised (long ago), here is my birth chart analysis of my beloveds; James and Lily. I only did the canonical placements. Without an exact birth time we can’t know what houses each placement falls under and we don’t know their rising signs. I have my guesses for risings but I didn’t want to bore you all with my musings and theories. I hope you have as much fun reading this as I did writing it <3 So! Without further ado…

James

Aries sun:

The sun represents the self, and the ego, it is where people really shine. The sun loves to be in Aries. These people shine ever so brightly. Aries is a fire sign they are impulsive, headstrong, and energetic. Fire signs tend to be honest to a fault and are often seen as a little bit cut throat or brutal. They are firm in their beliefs and are not easily swayed once they have made up their minds. Aries marks the beginning of spring which makes sense as Aries people tend to spring into action. Aries, along with being exalted by the sun’s energy, is also ruled by mars! Mars (named for the Roman God of war…Ares to the Greeks) rules over aggression, and passion. For James as a character I think this all fits ever so perfectly.

Aries moon:

Double Aries, double the chaos. The moon rules over our emotions and our inner world. It’s how we care for ourselves and others. We see time and time again James caring for others by a sense of strong loyalty. He makes his mind up about a person and will dedicate himself to them with pure, blinding, loyalty and courage. Never swaying from his belief in their character. James’ emotions are strong and fiery and expresses it in bursts of loud emotions. He cannot love or hate quietly. He does not like to be still in his feelings. Her wit and intellect is unmatched. It’s on a whole other level. This working with her Capricorn Mars makes her intellectualism a driving force. Often priding herself in her ability to think outside the box. She is quick witted and logical in her communication. People with an Aquarius Mars are kinda wacky geniuses or mad scientist types. I think of Lily over her cauldron with her hair all messy. I think of her saying she’d rather date the giant squid as a very Aquarian insult that encapsulates her Mercury placement perfectly.

Capricorns are the businessmen/father figure of the stars. working with pendulums

now, theoretically pendulums could be anything, however I recommend something uniform (ish) in shape and fairly weighty. you need to be able to discern when your pendulum is just moving because of the wind, and when it's moving to tell you something. some good examples are crystals, raw or cut, and metal. look out for resin and glass dupes as these do not work as well

i've seen a few theories on how pendulums work, whether they have their own spiritual energy to move themselves or if they can stimulate your muscles just subtly enough to move them in the right directions. either way, don't worry too much about your own interference here. more often than not, you'll be able to tell when they're moving on their own and when it's just shaky hands/wind

HOW TO START

first of all, find a pendulum that speaks to you. then ask it if it's willing to work with you

second, i usually like to cleanse my pendulums, but not too hardcore. just some salt, selenite or herbs will do the trick here, we're looking to wash other people's hands off here, not the actual spirit of the thing

then, when you first start speaking with your pendulum, you want to tackle the conversations with something in between a "you work for me" and "you work with me" vibe. still ask permission before someone else touches it, before you take pictures, etc. i've even known people to ask before using them at all. whatever you think is right

again, it's very important you talk to your pendulums before you decide because sometimes they don't wanna be tied down

HOW TO INCORPORATE A PENDULUM INTO YOUR PRACTICE

in tarot:

1) after shuffling, separate your deck into a number of piles, have your pendulum choose which pile you should read from (this is especially useful for very broad or general readings)

2) after shuffling, lay out a series of individual cards that you feel drawn to. then have your pendulum choose individual cards (this is especially useful if you're doing a reading for someone else, since you can have the recipient hold the pendulum that chooses the cards)

with deity work:

1) have them represent an altar or space dedicated to your deity. this might not serve any practical use, but a guardian for an altar is never a bad thing

2) dedicate it to a deity and attempt communication with them. this can be iffy for some people, depending on your beliefs. in my eyes, a god does not have to be one corporeal being, having to dedicate their singular consciousness to a singular task as a human does. gods are multifaceted, primordial beings that have fingers in many different pots, so to speak. therefore, it is not outside the realm of possibility to communicate with a deity in this way, since moving a pendulum to say yes or no isn't all that deeply personal. REMEMBER, if you do this, the pendulum's spirit is still there, and you are more than capable of separating a pendulum from a deity or communicating with the two separately OR harming the pendulum while trying some risky business with a deity

WHAT TO DO WITH THEM IN THE MEAN TIME

when i'm not using them, i like to keep my pendulums hung up on my altar space, overlooking my room. however, i DO NOT keep them in direct sun because the crystals will fade with exposure to UV. sometimes i'll bring them out to the window during a full moon though

some other ideas would be:

-in a window that doesn't receive much direct sunlight

-in mesh baggies (so they don't get tangled or lost) on your altar

-hung on a wall, thumbtacks are useful for this

-if you only have one or two, it's not outside of the realm of possibility to carry them around with you. some pendulums really enjoy this too

-with your other crystals, as long as they're separated enough so that they won't get tangled or lost

I have some opinions about Nepeta i wanna share during these wee hours of the morning!

Nepeta is becoming a sleeper favorite as i try to reanalyze Homestuck in different contexts. This is for a lot of reasons but mainly for my own interpretation of Nepeta as a stand in for characters in fandom who are the subject of endless debates about their characterization.

Whether its characters being infantalized because of their kindness and naivety like Papyrus or even Woobiefied like Vriska and even Karkat to a degree, if a character in a fandom has a kind heart or tragic backstory (or even both) the fans who like them can become blind to the possibility that the can be held responsible for their actions or can make mature or rational decisions. And while I personally understand the reflex of trying to justify why you like a morally dubious character or holding a character close as an example of kindness and morality it often ends up neutering your ability to enjoy nuance in characters.

I LOVE Vriska and Eridan because they are uniquely shitty due to their circumstances they are a product of their upbringing and struggles so when Vriskas attempts to be good for selfish reasonsor Eridan ends up rejecting his own potential for goodness in favor of revenge and self loathing fueled violence it paints a very deep and satisfying character that when analyzed gives the reader a lot to appreciate. How this ties into Nepeta for me is this, when you can only view a character in a certain way either rigid purist or apologist a character like Nepeta becomes nearly invisible to you, she is written in such a way where she becomes above the concept of debates regarding her character.

As a Heart player she is a very forwardly unique character and proud of it. She lets you know what she is about almost immediately and is refreshingly uncomplicated about it, it’s all right there on the tin. Her role in the comic is minimal and while this would be a detriment in most contexts when looking at her from the lens of fandom this works in her favor. You get everything you need to know about her at once and if you like her she becomes an open canvas for interpretation, can she smoke catnip? Yea sure! Would it be out of character for her to fujoshi-out over a shipping chart upon discovering Gamzee may have flush feelings for Tavros? Absolutely not! How about a more serious possibly messy exploration of her moirallegience with Equius? YES YES YES she is a very dedicated moirail!

I feel that while this has been a tad bit rambling it’s enough to open up a conversation about Nepeta being a great canvas for fandom. No the possibilities aren’t infinite but its really hard to get her wrong, you either attach to her immediately or shes not exactly your thing and thats okay! Those who do latch onto her and appreciate what she brings will do her justice enough, shes a simple and fun character who can be adapted and explored by the fans in a way the comic never did and thats a gift when it comes to Homestuck.

As a fairly new Homestuck, ive just beginning to understand how its narrative simultaneously walks hand in hand with and left an unmistakable impression on fandom as a whole. I picked up the habit of combing over the really rich narrative and equally rich characters to try and understand it better with hopes to feel the spark i felt picking up the series for the first time all over again when i attempt to create something for myself. hi! I'm in a Discord for a Roblox rhythm game (Rap Ability Test), and someone asked if "I WON'T LET YOU GO HOME" could be charted and playable. I would also like to extend this question with regards to the rest of the soundtrack, but understand if only select songs would be permitted for this. since I make some community charts for the game, I wanted to look around and see if there's been a precedent set, and I found this ask that you answered a few months ago:

since I imagine a Taiko client would need the songs to be downloadable to be played, and Roblox games handle things through online servers instead of direct downloads, I wanted to reach out on that person's behalf and ask if you would be okay with this. the game itself is free, has some gacha systems for cosmetic items separate from the core gameplay, and has a dedicated subsection of its songlist for community-made charts. if you let the community chart the soundtrack, it would be in that community chart section and not the main song list; furthermore, the song menu allows the devs to link back to social media accounts directly to credit the composers, and their name appears when a player starts the song as well.

while charters would need to use a file for the song to make charts, the music would not be downloadable once added in-game. I am not directly affiliated with the dev team behind the game, but community charters are expected to get permission for the songs they chart themselves, and since I don't know if the person who asked has a Tumblr, I figured I would send an ask about this while I was looking. the game can be found here, if you would like to vet it before answering:

Unfortunately it's going to be a no, simply because of licensing issues. Giving Roblox license to distribute our work even in a limited capacity, without a formal licensing agreement between us, isn't something that we feel comfortable doing.

Like you pointed out, this isn't the first time we've gotten an ask like this, and we've even had other developers reach out to us privately for similar requests. We are HUGE fans of rhythm games here at the studio and would love to make something like this a reality, so we're going to propose a few solutions here:

If any company involved in a rhythm game would like to reach out in an official capacity to license the rights to the ISAT OST we would be happy to have that conversation, pending approval of the author @insertdisc5 .

If that doesn't work out we would actually love to write original music for a rhythm game, again pending formal licensing from the dev/distributor.

We can invest in creating a free album specifically designed for rhythm games if there is an interest and enough community support, assuming the other options don't pan out.

in one of your last posts you seemed to imply that the multiverse exists inside the timeline, but ive always read it as the opposite, the timeline inside the universe that would explain why the trolls can pick any time from the humans universe to talk to them but cant have private conversations with their own futute/past selves, its not an inherent part of trollian, they are just outside the human timeline (the memos are still trollian being time fucky) dont know if that makes any difference but its a thought also i realize the tag may be unecessary due to my quirk, but its too late to stop now

Originally, my assumption was that each timeline contained a duplicate of the entire multiverse. Doomed timelines don't seem to let you communicate with other universes/dimensions, though, so they don't need to contain other sectors of reality. I'm currently of the opinion that doomed timelines only contain an instance of the dimension they were doomed in. The only timeline which contains the entire multiverse is the Alpha.

This mechanic keeps doomed timelines simple, but in-universe, I don't know why it exists. Much like the Alpha itself, it's a mystery I can only speculate about.

Tavros is barely a presence on the Land he's ostensibly the hero of, and all of his actions are being dictated by a third party who can physically control his body. This third party does not acknowledge or respect Tavros's own desires, effectively forcing him to play the game in a way that she personally approves of.

See, I'd probably find old fandom theories absolutely fascinating to analyze. I'd love to know how closely my ideas align with those of the early Homestuck fandom, and whether I'm saying anything really out-of-pocket. My analysis of Sollux's ~ATH script was apparently an original theory, and it's honestly one my proudest moments.

But that's also sort of the problem, isn't it? If I dive too deeply into other people's fan theories, they'll start to affect my own - and if I'm introduced to a really compelling fan theory, it could end up replacing any homegrown theories that I could have developed in lieu of it. If someone had send me a well-reasoned ~ATH theory before I did my own analysis, I'd probably have been less motivated to make the analysis in the first place. After all, many of my questions would already have been answered by a clever theory I just read.

People are free to send me their own off-the-cuff opinions on what's happening in the comic, or their own takes on any meta I write. I get a lot of asks like that, and they're some of my favorites.

Obviously there's a fine line here, and whether a given ask is a theory or just an opinion is a little subjective - but in my opinion, the influence that asks and submissions have had on my analysis has been relatively minor. I don't think many of my theories have been spawned from an ask, or killed by one.

This is a little different, though, because it's part of a theory that was crowdsourced over several years. It doesn't sound like something that could be inferred by an individual, so I'm not sure if it's something an individual liveblogger should necessarily know about? If I start crowdsourcing my analysis, my theories will be less Wertsearch and more fandom consensus, and I don't think I'd enjoy that as much.

I really want to know, but I think I'll enjoy the liveblog more if I don't. When I finish the comic, I'll gleefully analyze any fan theory that anyone sends me - but for now, I'll just have to wonder, and come up with theories of my own!

Yeah, we've really been getting into it with Vriska lately. I've enjoyed trying to explain and predict her actions, and I'm glad people don't think I'm going overboard when trying to analyze her.

When a character does something interesting, I don't like to move on until I have a theory about why they did it. Sure, it may be refuted later, but it needs to be something that's consistent with what I currently know about their personality.

Vriska takes a particularly long time to puzzle out in this way. Her motivations are derived from a complex web (lol) of factors, including Scratch, Spidermom, her rivalry with Terezi, her horrendous relationship with Tavros, classism, teenage hormones, quadrant politics, highblood society and the Alternian culture of violence. They all inform her decisions, and any combination of them could have been the catalyst for the latest Vriska Incident.

I want characters to make sense to me, and Vriska is written to deliberately challenge my attempt to achieve this. Her meta is fun to write, so I'm glad it's also fun to read!

...is more than a random jumble of middle names and surnames. I know it looks overwhelming, but do me a favor. Read it once more, slowly. Sound it out in your head. Actually follow every single word.

This is more than a name. It's history—of so many people more than just him.

The rough translation:

Yeezumon the Star-Mapper; son of Ramnawa; daughter of Khesha; daughter of Modreya the Divider

Yeezumon earned the honorific "the Star-Mapper" for his achievements as a professional mapmaker. Not only did Yeezumon learn to read and write (as exceptionally few ifrit or humans in this time do), but he has been charting every landmark of An-Nadr over his centuries as a navigator, using the stars as a compass. In a time where doing so is both incredibly challenging and dangerous, he has mapped out huge swaths of the desert and its surrounding "coastlines" where greenery and life follows the winding rivers at its edge.

It is because of him, and a handful of other people like him, that sandships are able to transverse the deserts safely.

Yeezumon's great grandmother also has an honorific that gets carried along in his name. There was a massive famine during Modreya's lifetime (just after the ifrit were freed from Solomon), and she was the city official whose responsibility was to divide food rations amongst her people. "The Divider" was a title given to her in honor of her dedication to making sure EVERY person, regardless of poverty or class, had enough food to survive. She was incredibly well loved, and her name is still remembered to this day, almost three thousand years later.

After their honorifics, something else might stand out; ifrit bloodlines are solely matrilineal. There are a great many reasons for this, but the biggest is how common polyamory is in their culture. True monogamy is almost unheard of among ifrit, and relationships that even come close are exceptionally rare.

"The Husbands" earned their title because it is outright bizarre for two ifrit to have been together as long as they have. When you live to be a millennium old, it's accepted that the people you're closest with will eventually grow and change so much over the centuries that you're no longer compatible. And there's nothing wrong with it! That kind of growth is seen as a good and completely natural thing, and animosity between ex-lovers is far from the norm. People stay together for as long as they fit, then make their own way apart when they no longer do. Marriage is almost unheard of.

That being said, Yeezumon and Ifyaa are weirdos. Not only have they been together for most of their lives, but these two get married to each other over again every time they come across a culture that does it a different way. They've been married about thirty times and counting, with no plans to stop. Even then, they aren't monogamous—they still have other partners both alone and together. [Sorry Nadi, you're still out of luck.]

But lineage is matrilineal because frankly, not only would be it nearly impossible to keep track of who the sire may be, but to the ifrit? It simply doesn't matter.

Ifrit have such an impossible time conceiving children that when one is born, entire cities erupt into celebrations that last for DAYS. Every child is raised with their entire community as a family. While most will travel with their mother if she ever moves to a new city, the need for more detailed lineages just don't exist. After their mother, they belong to the People as much as to their sire. And on that note....

Ifyaa's full name follows the same pattern:

Though the ifrit don't have an equivalent of such a word, Ifyaa was more or less what humans would consider an orphan. His mother left when he was a very young boy, and the people of his city all took him in as one of their own. The entire city became his family. He carries their name in reverence, and will often shorten his own name to Ifyaa al-Mantiqi ibn Aisara-Qshek unless the need otherwise arises.

oh God. y’all really want me to talk til i’m blue in the face huh?

disclaimer: this chart reading is limited, as lando has not shared his birth time and because of that, i can’t know his rising sign. if i had to guess, it feels like his chart ruler is either mercury (gemini/virgo) or venus (taurus/libra) but that’s just my initial thought, purely based on vibes. i’ll do my reading with no rising sign, as i would rather be ill-informed than flat out wrong.

first thing first, holy fuck there’s a lot of mars and saturn influence. like, there is so much of both. this is not uncommon for an athlete’s chart, as when we think of mars, we think of action and when we think saturn, we think of discipline. his sun and mercury are both in scorpio, moon and mars are in capricorn, and his libra is in venus. his saturn is in taurus, and although saturn is a more outer planet and it moves very slowly, i will talk a bit on his saturn because it is so fucking prevalent in his chart. it aspects three of his major placements.

we’ll start with basics, with his scorpio sun. we all know the stereotypes for scorpio suns (moody, possessive liars) so i won’t talk too much about those traits. your sun sign is supposed to frame your approach or perspective, and scorpio is a fixed sign ruled by mars — the planet of action, strategy, ambition; the physical means with which you use to achieve your goals. lando’s incredibly dedicated and incredibly passionate about what he does, we know this. he’s got a strong loyalty to his beliefs. he is firm and uncompromising about the convinctions he holds as true. scorpio also rules the subconscious or unknown, which means that the sun is not necessarily comfortable here but lando exhibits scorpio sun behavior clearly and constantly. this is in part because his sun and mercury are conjunct — there are very few degrees separating them and they are working in tandem with one another.

mercury in a birth chart represents communication - it shapes the way you communicate with the world and express yourself entirely. in scorpio, it means he’s a very intuitive, observant communicator. one of the most interesting landoisms is how receptive he is to the other person in the conversation, especially when it comes to his self-perception and how he alters that, as i talked about previously. a ‘more traditional’ sun conjunct mercury individual is able to communicate a more unified approach in how they share themselves with others. there’s an alignment or harmony with the things they say/believe and the things they do. lando’s mercury is in retrograde, which means things are not as straightforward for him. a planet in retrograde is just a planet moving in the opposite of it’s intended direction — meaning, it will sometimes do the opposite of what it’s intended to do. his style of communication is not as direct as one might traditionally see with this aspect. adding to that, his mercury is in the sign of scorpio, which represents the unknown/subconscious. he can come across as contradictory, or confusing. in the aforementioned post i said (from his perspective) people are dedicated to misunderstanding him — this is what i mean. what he communicates, lando intends as genuine. But what you interpret could be entirely the opposite of what of he intended. just because lando is frank and direct, does not mean that he’s clear or forthcoming. this is maybe why people have a hard time discerning what he means most of the time — it’s hard to know when he’s joking and when he’s serious, when he’s lying and when he’s telling the truth.

his sun also opposes his saturn. saturn represents a lot of things astrologically; control, discipline, consequences, structure, obligation. an opposition is when two planets are 180 degrees from one another — representing two opposing facets of the same ideal in a way. for him to be most successful, he has to find balance. this is maybe where that struggle for control i talked about before comes from, and it’s a huge part of why he’s overly self-critical. lando has always held himself to impossible expectations, and struggles most with his own disappointment when he fails to meet those goals. (even if they were maybe not achievable goals in the first place.) it’s important for him not to sabotage himself in this regard, because other parts of his chart actually set him up well to achieve his goals. shame and self-doubt could be the biggest thief of all his joy and success.

since we’re talking saturn, let’s get into his capricorn moon and mars. his moon and his mars are conjunct, and additionally, his sun sextiles both of these placements. (a sextile is often a favorable aspect, it means there’s 60 degrees of separation between the two placements, leading to a complementary relationship with them — bringing balance or harmony, in this case.)

the moon represents your emotional world, and your inner perception of self. lando’s moon being in capricorn is so fucking fitting. he’s pragmatic, headstrong, defiant, guarded and overly self-critical. capricorn often represents where there is more structure and order in an area of someone’s chart, but the moon is detriment in capricorn. your inner emotional world is a deepily illogical and vulnerable place, and lunar capricorns are people who look to logic and pragmatism to create a sense of order and safety. people with this placement feel things very deeply, though. any feeling too strong for them to understand or control must be suppressed, and if can’t be, they’ll likely throw themselves head-over-foot into whatever goals they have to ignore the feeling anyhow. usually, any attempts to suppress or control emotions they don’t understand lead to the emotions controlling them in ways they don’t recognize. and i mean, i think it’s clear lando does Not enjoy expressing a lot of emotion. (his moon trines his saturn: he takes pride in being able to control and restrain his emotions.) he would much rather come across as cool and unaffected, especially if he doesn’t trust you. trust is a HUGE thing for capricorn moons — very hard to gain, very easy to lose. they usually have a harder time trusting people who are flakier or inconsistent emotionally. i often think of when lando and luisa broke up, and he spent a good few months literally never sitting still. he picked up fucking dj’ing so he had a day job AND a nighttime hobby. or i think of how long it took him a bit more time to really open up and understand daniel, someone that lives a lot in emotional extremes/floats between them frequently.

i’ve already talked a lot about mars, but let’s dig into mars in capricorn right quick. this is sexyyy, to me. capricorn loves to be in mars - it’s all about productivity, and mars loves to take action. he’s incredibly disciplined and goal-oriented but probably doesn’t allow himself to enjoy the fruits of his labor nearly enough. he is headstrong in succeeding anyways. i don’t find him to be showboaty or cocky. rather, he leads more by doing or showing and less by saying. generally, he’s also going to feel more rewarded when he sees the tangible results of the work he’s putting in. he may not be patient, but he is persistent. eventually, he will get there and he will get there his way [mars trines his saturn]. he’s just as determined as he is cautious, and he has an impossible amount of focus for the things he wants to achieve. it’s why failing while learning something new doesn’t scare him off. he doesn’t stop playing golf despite the fact that he’s not great at it — he likes golfing, so he took the time to learn how to do it himself, and there is some level of pride in that. circling back to moon conjunct mars: the things he has passion for, he loves to do and he throws himself into them totally. think of his revolving door of hobbies, how he gets fixated on one for weeks or months at a time and then once the passion dissipates, he moves on to the next one. all the aforementioned warnings of being overly doubtful or self critical still stand but lando has talked about not believing himself but trying anyways. at least twice before! i find that to be a very mars in capricorn sentiment, or a very unique way to use self doubt as a sense of motivation at the least. having the motivation to try something knowing you’re going to fail over and over again comes from nothing but passion, though that’s a very realistic way to look at trying and doing and learning.

and now, let’s talk venus in libra. i think his whole chart is good, but this is one of my favorite placements ever. venus represents your relationships with and to other people. libra is in its domicile (home planet) — it’s comfortable here. a libra venus is someone who might prioritize the traditional pleasures in life: they like beautiful people, places, things and ideas. think him traveling to absurd corners of the world, all his rumored partners being models, all of his cars are customized down to the very smallest details.

people who have venus in libra are charming and affable — most people lando meet end up really liking him. he’s kind, thoughtful and by nature, dedicated to what he considers right, just or fair. libra placements often get painted as a peacemaker, but in the case of libra venus i more see it as them trying to figure out what you need/what the dynamic needs and prioritizing that, to instill balance. think of lando’s dynamic with daniel versus with oscar. daniel was louder and goofier by nature so lando felt he had more of a chance to be quieter and more chilled. oscar was more serious and much more reserved at first, so lando took it upon himself to be a bit louder and sillier. he lead in bridging that gap — so that oscar would eventually feel comfortable enough to do the same. people with venus in libra traditionally enjoy feeling needed, and might look for opportunities to do so. (in my mind’s eye, i’m replaying the video of lando grabbing carlos’ gloves from where carlos set them down, just so he could hand them to carlos put them on.) they need to be cautious and firm with the boundaries they set. people who rely on them too heavily, and offer them nothing in return will cause them to feel great amounts of resentment and distrust. the beauty lives in the balance, babey.
