Time was a blur when you spend it in a cell. Aemond had come to that conclusion in the last … well, he really had no idea how many days it had been actually. He sat on the floor, staring at the stone walls around him, or he slept. During his waking hours, he found himselfwondering just how long they’d keep him there before bringing him out to face death. Because he had no illusions about this. The moment he had crawled himself out of the lake, Aemond had known things were going to turn sour for him.

Somehow he’d hoped his own men would find him, they’d take him to safety and they would try again la- … No, they couldn’t try again later. Vhagar … He’d looked back at the lake, knowing his dragon was down there somewhere, under the surface of the lake that seemed so deceptively motionless. It had swallowed her up and it was a small miracle that he hadn’t been dragged along. But then again, he had fought so hard that his muscles and lungs had burned with the need of oxygen before he’d finally reached the shore.

Now, stuck in this cell, he knew it’d been foolish to think his own men would be the first upon him. Of course with his luck it’d been the enemy, the blacks. What had surprised him was that instead of simply executing him right there and then, he’d been taken back and put into a cell to wait for judgement. Judgement … as if it could be anything but death for someone like him? After all, they looked at him and saw nothing but a traitor, a kinslayer, … a monster.

Sighing, he closed his eye, and pulled his knees up against his chest. One thing he knew for sure ... when they came for him, he wasn't going to go down easily. He did not intend to simply kneel or roll over or whatever they wanted of him. He would fight, he would take as many with him as he could. And yes, they'd taken his sword and he was weakened by lack of moving around and eating properly, but he didn't care. He would give them hell, even if just for killing Vhagar ... a pain he still couldn't quite allow himself to linger on, not while he was there at least, in the hands of the enemy.

On a normal basis, you never really get a chance to interact with most of Charlie's associates. Sure, there were a couple who would come in and out of the house on occasion, but they were usually only there for meetings with your husband, and they never stayed for long. You were itching to see what Charlie's job was like, who he worked with, what kind of jobs he deals with on a daily basis, but no matter how much you begged him, Charlie refused to allow you to accompany him at work, reminding you that he didn't want to risk your safety even the slightest bit. It seemed like you would forever remain in the dark about his work...

...Until one day, he caved.

You aren't sure why he did so. Neither is Charlie. All you know is that one day, while cuddling up to him on your shared bed, he brings up a conference he's hosting the next day with some of his highest ranking associates. You don't think much of it, Charlie usually lets you know whenever he has a big meeting coming up, just so you don't wonder where he is, but what you do think much of is when he pauses for a moment, taking in a deep breath before reluctantly asking you if you want to accompany him.

Obviously you say yes, over the moon that you're finally being allowed to see the inner workings of Charlie's job. He reminds you that you'll be surrounded by bodyguards the whole time, and obviously, he's going to be keeping an eye on you himself, but you don't care. You're just happy to finally see what goes on in Charlie's day to day life. He also warns you that upsetting topics (murder, drugs, that kind of stuff), might come up,but you reassure him that you'll be fine, you can handle yourself.

The next day, he's more on edge than normal. He's making sure all the body guards tasked with keeping you safe are there, armed, and in good enough shape to protect you if need be. You think it's a bit overkill, but Charlie isn't taking chances. You are going to be in a room full of extremely dangerous individuals after all, although none of them would dare do anything in Charlie's presence.

He stays next to you the entire time, from the car ride, to the building where the meeting is being held. A couple of his associates are already there, milling about in the conference room, conversing with each other while they wait for the meeting to start. They all quiet down as Charlie enters the room, hardly noticing you at all, standing rigid and at attention as Charlie makes his rounds, introducing you to each member. They're polite, treating you cordially as you meet them, but you can tell they're tense, probably because they don't want to say something that will get them in trouble, or seem overly friendly with you.

Well...except for one person, that is.

You can tell on of the ladies present is a little different from the rest as soon as you and your husband approach her. For starters, she's very well dressed, almost overly so, a blood red dress hugging her curves as it flowed down he legs, ending near her ankles. Her hair was a nice shade of blond, and you can tell she had curled it before putting it up, letting a couple ringlets spiral down her neck while the rest stayed in a well-tamed updo. You could tell she had a lot of makeup on, but it didn't look as ridiculous as one might think. In fact, she looked positively radiant, and it was fairly obvious that she knew how attractive she looked.

You were immediately jealous. Not like you had much reason to be, Charlie hadn't looked in her direction once since entering the room, but... you couldn't help but worry. You were suddenly very aware of how plain you must look, at least in comparison to her. Charlie had decked you out in expensive clothing and jewelry, as he always did when you two went anywhere, but even with all of that, you felt insignificant next to this lady. Plus, she looked like she had been born into, or at the very least currently had, a shit ton of wealth. And, well... you hadn't. Normally, you would have never cared, but now...

Eventually, you two ended up in front of her. She doesn't seem nearly as scared of Charlie as the rest of the people present, chatting with him casually, as if he were her friend, not her boss. She tries to compliment him multiple times, batting her clearly fake eyelashes at him, but he either doesn't notice or doesn't care, saying nothing in return and instead moving to introduce you to her. Her name is Catherine Cecil, you find out, but she doesn't seem all that interested in you, giving you a quick up and down look before going right back to taking with Charlie.

Or, at least, she tried to go back to talking to Charlie. But he had only approached her to introduce the two of you, and now that you two clearly had nothing to say to each other, he moved on, bringing you with him as you approach the next mafia member.

You feel a little bad for her, but more than that, you feel a little smug. It became clear from your brief interaction that she likes Charlie far more than your comfortable with, so for Charlie to walk away from her as soon as he could? Especially after the way she looked at you? It felt nice. Really nice.

But you couldn't shake the feeling that you were inferior to her. That she would have been a better wife to your husband than you. I mean, she was a part of the same job as him, right? Not only that, but she clearly had a lot of money, just like him, and if she was this high ranking in the mafia, that must mean she has some serious skills you don't know about.

You didn't have anything. You were just a regular person, you didn't know how to fight, or how to kill, or how to hack into technology on a wim. You didn't know how to smuggle, or how to gather data, or how to do any of the other necessary jobs required to be a part of the mafia. Compared to all these people, you were nothing, the least extraordinary in the room. You don't know what Charlie saw in you, or why he was still with you in the first place.

Before you could dwell on it anymore though, the last of the associates entered, and without further delay, the meeting started.

Charlie sat at the head of the table, but he had pulled up a chair next to him for you, motioning for you to sit down with him while your guards stood behind the two of you. It seemed a little off for you, someone with no significance to the mafia, to be sitting at the head of the table, but you didn't want to argue with your husband, instead sitting down beside him.

Most of the meeting was confusing and boring for you. You had no idea what anyone was talking about and you weren't about to ask, so you remained blissfully unaware of what was going on, losing yourself inside your head while trying your hardest to look interested. Charlie hadn't been speaking much, letting his associates lay out their updates and talk amongst themselves, only interjecting when he needed to. Each person took their turn presenting what they needed to, giving Charlie the rundown of whatever it was they were talking about before listening intently to his next orders for them. Each of them were in charge of something different, but it might as well have been all the same to you, the different business deals and jobs blending together in your head.

But then it was Catherine's turn, and all of a sudden, the meeting got much more interesting.

For starters, she spent way too much time trying to provoke a response from Charlie, whether it be complimenting him (again), or asking him questions that had absolutely nothing to do with whatever she was meant to be reporting to him. This went on for several minutes, and you could tell the other people in the room were getting fed up with it, giving each other exasperated looks as she spoke. One or two of them even covered their mouths briefly, clearly trying to stifle a laugh.

You had to admit, it was a little funny, seeing how desperate she was for Charlie's attention, but it was less humorous to you than the others, considering it was your husband she was flirting with. You had more stakes in this game than the rest of them did.

Despite your jealousy, you couldn't do anything. You couldn't say anything either. This wasn't the time to interrupt, especially with a such a fickle feeling such as jealousy, so all you could really do was sit there, playing with your hands and breathing deeply as you tried to keep yourself under control.

Thankfully, it seemed Charlie had had enough of her antics as well, because he sharply interected, asking her to get to the point of her presentation quickly and then shut up. He used a tone he'd never dared use with you before, which made you feel a little better, if only slightly.

You hoped that would be the end of her flirting, but unfortunately, you were wrong.

Catherine seemed a little disappointed, but she continued on, recovering from Charlie's snappy tone almost instantly. She did as Charlie asked, moving on to her report without any more delay, but instead of moving on completely from her obsession with Charlie, she simply changed tactics, moving on from complimenting him, to shading you.

Obviously she would never dare say anything outright to you, she wasn't stupid enough to do that, but whenever the opportunity arose, she would insult you without naming you directly, staring you down with a smirk as she spoke.

"Of course, I wouldn't let such low lives touch the money I had earned from the deal, there's no way to trust them! Desperate people like that are only after one thing: Money. They don't care about anything else!"

" I knew she wasn't worth my time from the second I met her. Nobody with class would ever approach me so boldly. Besides, she lacked the skills and appearance needed for the job. Honestly, I can't believe anyone like that could possible get entangled with people like us."

"You can always tell who doesn't know what they're doing by how they dress. People without any talent or worth are just so...plain!"

It was obvious she was talking about you, her glaces to you as she spoke making that abundantly clear. You knew she knew she would never get away with insulting you directly in front of Charlie, but if she did it subtly enough, she probably could get away with it scot free.

Your eyes felt like they were burning, tears of rage and shame threatening to bubble up to the surface. You hated her, you hated that she had the audacity to insult you to you face. You hated how open she was about wanting your husband, and you hated how you couldn't do anything about it except gaze downwards at your lap, fighting away the tears that you could feel coming up.

Suddenly, you could feel Charlie's hand on your arm. You looked towards him, but he was still facing forward, his expression as stoic as ever.

"S/0," he starts, his voice icy calm. "Would you mind stepping out and grabbing my bag? I seem to have left it in the car."

You gladly accepted his ask, nodding your head and getting up without a word. Your guards follow you out the door, shielding you from the view of the others in the room as you depart, and you breathe a sigh of relief, happy to be out of that room. You make your way to the car, walking out the door and onto the asphalt. You get the car, grab the bag, and walk back to the meeting room slowly, taking your time in returning. You really don't want to see Catherine again, so you'll take as much time as you need.

To your surprise, however, when you return to the meeting room, Catherine is nowhere to be found. The seat she was in was empty, and it didn't appear like she was anywhere else in the room. So where...?

Charlie saw where you were gazing. "Oh, don't worry about Ms. Cecil," he said calmly. He reached out his hand and you approached, and you handed him the bag you were carrying. "She was behaving in a less than professional manner, so I sent her home. We won't be seeing her for the rest of this meeting."

As confused as you were, you also felt a wave of relief. She couldn't torment you if she wasn't present, so you didn't have any real reason to care much about where she'd gone. You sat back down, and the meeting progressed as normal, this time without any hiccups.

On the way out, Charlie seemed more touchy than normal. He normally walked with his arm in yours, but this time, he wrapped his arm right around your waist, pulling you close to him as the two of you exited the building. The physical contact felt nice after all that had gone down, and if his associates noticed anything was wrong, well, they didn't dare say anything.

The second the car doors close, Charlie's all over you. He can't keep his hands to himself, you'll be lucky if both of you can keep your pants on until you get back home. The poor chauffeur has to listen to the two of you as he drives, but neither of you care. It's a nice ego boost after everything Catherine said, and as you two continue to get lost in each other, you quickly forget anything and everything that she said to you.

That night is gonna be a long one for you. Charlie is hellbent on keeping you as close to him as possible, even when your cleaning up after all your...activities. He's surprisingly tender with you, not that he'd ever be anywhere near rough with you, reminding you every couple of minutes how much he loves you. It makes you feel good to know your husband loves you, despite the beautiful people he works with.

As you go to bed that night, you hold Charlie close to you, kissing him softly before drifting off, a small smile on your face.

Headcannons BEN Drowned.

Starters first he died at the age of 14 and I do personally think he is the same case as Sally, he does not age nor physically nor mentally. We all know that Ben basically "controls" the electronics. I always liked to imagine that when he wants to be alone he just goes inside an electronic and hangs out there.

When it comes to personality, he is very bubbly but sarcastic as hell if that makes sense. Extroverted, very extroverted. Likes to pull harmless and actually funny pranks on the others in the manor.

His appearance will always be the one of a 14 year old. I think he has blonde hair but with faded dark green ends, that would look so cool. For fashion sense literally dresses for comfort not style. T shirt and jorts and some cartoon socks (can you tell that this is how I dressed at 14 yrs)

For friends he would totally be best friends with Jeff and silver. I think the whole fandom settled down on that one. I also the relationship between him and Sally brotherly. Shipping them is fucking weird. Also unpopular opinion, best friends with Nina. Like I totally see Ben being into scene/emo stuff and Nina just telling him about the politics and style. (I feel like everyone would be friends w Nina, can y'all tell I have a fav girl)

Spends time playing video games but every time someone says he's addicted to them and angel loses its wings. I feel like he would print posters and put them up his wall while listening to music or just draw. Likes to go to random trees and carve things into them like his name or anything to be honest.

Speaking of music he is totally into Pierce the veil, like I do view him as the type of person to listen to electronic music but Pierce the veil goes with anything. I don't know ANYTHING about music genres so I'm gonna name any electronic bands😿

When it comes to killing I think he would drive his victims insane but when he wants to do it quick I just think he would electrocute them.

Never liked being a proxy but there isn't anything he can do about it. Honestly I don't think anyone likes being a proxy but most, like him, accepted their fate but still dream that one day maybe they'll be free.

How is he treated in the fandom?

From the very beginning when I joined this fandom in 2016 I saw people going crazy over Ben drowned. And I understand, it was 2016 and everything was very unrestricted, not a safe space for kids and teens and you would see some fucked up shit on the internet on a daily basis but I feel like now that we grew as a fandom and grew mentally we can all agree Ben isn't treated how he should be. He is a great character and very good written. His original story, BEN, where he gets stuck in Majoras mask and it was an ARG and nobody knew it wasn't real was so well done. But ts clear that Ben and BEN are both children, no matter of which one we speak.

First, he's a child, he shouldn't be shipped with anyone. It first started with Sally. There are so many wrong things here, in Sally's original story she dies at 8 years old and Ben at 12 (in my AU he is 14, no big difference) , that's a huge gap. Secondly why ship minors.

After the Sally incident it went along with Jeff which is more fucking worse. Not only that Ben is 12, Jeff is 20+. That is wrong on so many levels and I'm sure you're mature enough to know and I don't need to list down every fucking reason.

After Jeff, came silver. Which I don't know much about silver so I don't know if this is problematic or not. I'm not gonna put my opinion on this just wanted to include him too since he is apart of this too.

How people viewed him

Literally nothing changed when it comes to how people view him. There are only 2 ways, you either see him as k1nk1 and perverted or as a stoner and a crack head. What the fuck. I don't think I ever met someone who does NOT think of him like that, it's trully sickening and weird. And it has always been like this. It's a huge problem that sadly the people in the fandom choose to ignore rather than speak about it and try to fix it. A problem won't fix itself if no ones speaks no one speaks up about it, and not just one person, more.

Excuses

Many people use excuses when talking about why they go crazy over Ben. I don't believe there is any excuse, you're just weird for doing that. The only excuse that seems KINDA valid is being the same age as him, I can't say anything at that but 15+ and still having a crush on Ben? No. Just no.

When you're the same age as the character, I can't say anything but older than that specific character? It's just wrong, in any way. People, especially adults, need to stop having crushes on characters younger than them or that are literally minors.

(Deku looks up to superheroes so even in a Universe where Super Heroes aren't the Norm, He should be more willing to be a Hero unlike Marinette (Though I'm not sure if Deku can tolerate Chloe like Bakugo however) but the latter I don't think would even want to accept being All Might Successor yet alone able to handle Bakugo as well but what do you think?)

While I don't personally like how this question is worded (Izuku and Marinette both have their virtues and vices that both help and hinder them in their respective roles), it's interesting enough to actually make me want to answer

Now for starters, it has to to acknowledged these two shows are from different cultures (France and Japan respectively), and as such, how the protags handled their respective bully character is reflective of that, as well as how they act and how their universes operate. However, for the sake of this question, I'm going to treat this as if both worlds are culture blind.

On Izuku's end, I'm going to be frank and say that he probably would not have handled Chloe situation better nor worse than Marinette did. Despite everything Bakugou did to him (including the infamous "Swandive" scene), Izuku never hated/resented him (had complicated feelings, yes, but none of them were resentful as far as I remember) and still held a lot of admiration for him at the end of the day - but that's mostly because Bakugou is also his rival and they're childhood friends, as well as being highly empathetic and stubborn. He'd likely try his damnedest to understand while Chloe hates him, and he would have tried like Marinette to help Chloe reconcile with Audrey because has no clue what's going on behind the scene (though I think once it was clear Audrey obviously held no love for her own child, he'd probably do similar as with Todoroki during the sports festival and try getting Chloe to be her own person/stop focusing on her mom). How effective all this would be really depends on how close the two are and how strong a rebar bar was used to keep TA locked in whatever closet you stuff him in for this AU because Izuku and Chloe really don't have any crossover in terms of interests/hobbies (outside of maybe heroes). I think he'd probably be okay with the Miraclass, but only have like, two or three people he was close to (Likely Juleka and Nathaniel due to having similar temperaments), and he and Adrien could be good friends if effort was put forth and they talked (I imagine he wouldn't have jumped to conclusions about the gum thing), and might have some success in turning Lila because he'd be smarter about confronting her on the lying. He and Alya would be such good nerd buddies. I can genuinely see them sitting in each others rooms trading comics and having "who's stronger" debates

As for the Ladybug...Yeah, no. Izuku would do poorly with Tikki. Kid's smart as they come and adaptive, but he lack the functional creativity that the Ladybug Miraculous needs from its holders regarding the Lucky Charms (though he'd be a lot better at interpreting the more abstract ones), especially if it works similarly to Marinette in that they're seemingly random (maybe if it was like Mister Bug in that he could whichever one he wants, it'd be a different story). In addition, Tikki would not mesh well with him, (particularly if we're talking pre-character development!Izuku) because the kid needs someone willing to be harsh/upfront with him like All Might was during the beach training, and Tikki I think would just be much too willing to baby him. Izuku is also a pretty direct person when it comes to combat and the Ladybug requires being more indirect/handsoff. While he wouldn't end up returning it on that first day/trading it off to Alya like Marinette did, he'd likely have a horrible time of it. Honestly, if I was going to give Izuku a Miraculous, I'd go for either the Ox (very direct/powerhouse and would stop the canon bone-breaking), Tiger (Similar reasoning as Ox+Roarr would be very similar to AM for him), or Dragon (requires actually considering what element works best with battle, and I think he'd be pretty strategic with it).

On Marinette's end...I actually think she'd do better in the BNHA world, but also poorer.

In regards to Bakugou, I think any bullying would get cut off at the knee because unlike with "Derision" and because we've reinforced the rebar, Tom and Sabine would be able actually go to Mitsuki and Masaru after hearing about stuff like the playground and remove Marinette from his presence if things didn't improve. I imagine unlike with Izuku, Marinette would take all of Bakugou's behavior/threats at face value and just...stop talking to him. No reconciling or understanding, just bitter/petty remarks and open mockery like she does with Chloe in canon (She'd also likely air-out their dirtylaundry first day of class, would would have consequences™ for both of them she isn't considering). She'd get along well with the 1A girls, but not enough to say they'd be a girl squad. I think she and Mina would be similar to her and Alya in canon because the latter would notice how withdraw she is and immediately work her magic to help her out. I also think she and Yuuga would be good friends since he knows french and they'd likely share interests in fashion (would make his betrayal hurt a lot too). She'd likely develop a celebrity crush on Todoroki like she did with Adrien, but he'd be less nicer about it since this is EarlyRoki and the subsequent fallout would both end the crush outright and make her reevaluate her behavior.

I also doubt her parents would care that much that Mari is quirkless (Headcanon that Tom would have a wolf-body quirk and Sabine would be able to temporarily turn her skin metal, or quirks that help with baking), but Marinette herself would likely be self-conscious about it, especially when she spent her childhood mocked for it by someone she considered a friend. It'd likely make her more willing to take OFA TBH, especially since unlike MLB, Marinette not only would be given time to adjust and actually learn about what she's getting into, she'd also have her mentor readily available to actually ask things of (and who would admit when he's lacking in resources/information for her and direct her to ore experience people). Also, unlike with the LB miraculous, Marinette misusing OFA would have actual physical consequences on her, so she'd learn that lesson a lot quicker.

Usually I never rely on merch stuff for predictions even if they have the hz logo, but this one lineup set to release in july really has me curious because of how specific it is to current events. All the mons are at the exact evo stage they’re currently in (sometimes they use the hz logo and have the starters fully evolved) and cap + lucario are specifically the ones we know. Pawmont would’ve been a random addition but we know it’s returning with Nemona next ep and we did just get a scene with umbreon at the end of last ep.

Where i’m going with this is that it’s clearly reflecting current/upcoming episodes, so with ceruledge’s presence that probably means amethio will show up soon? I had been expecting him next ep considering the writer for the ep + introducing him around the halfway mark is probably the best timing for him. That and we did just get stuff to do with Friede, so it’d make sense if he’s soon after. Scream tail also makes me hopeful we’re getting another Sango appearance… with the explorers being public figures now it makes sense that they’d be allowed to show up more instead of just at the arc climax.

But what interests me most is the charcadet. There isn’t one in the op, so I don’t think it’ll belong to a character of the day? If we got an amethio flashback I guess it could be there because of his charcadet, but flashbacks this arc so far have been more to do with what everyone’s been up to during the timeskip, so i expect him to follow this pattern too.

That does make me speculate we could be getting another new character? An amarouge has yet to appear in the series, and with how much the merch likes to emphasise it, it would feel weird to me if it’s left out of the whole series. ofc the box legendaries also haven’t appeared, but i chalk that up to them already having stories in the game so there’s little point in including them in the anime. If we do get a new character I also wonder if this person has been around Amethio during the timeskip? it makes a lot of sense to make whoever has the amarouge have some sort of connection to Amethio. I think it’d be pretty cute if they went down a student-mentor bond for them considering charcadet is literally a soldier in training. It would also add pretty nicely to Amethio and Friede’s parallels, we’ve seen both Liko and Roy take on qualities of Friede this arc so I think it follows that Amethio will too? Something also about the theme of generations in hz… we have Ult who already sort of does this role where he’s new to everything and so sees Liko and Roy as role models, it wouldn’t surprise me if they really want to hammer in the theme with someone whose new to being a trainer entirely.

This is all just speculation on my part tho lol. Grabbing charcadet by its tiny shoulders and shaking it. who are you. why are you in the reoccurring character lineup. what is your narrative purpose.

Lady Whistledown here. I'm laughing that stuck, but I will take it. Literally, no one important just ended up there. The readers' digest version for those who didn't see the original goes like this.

In the beginning, it was all fun, and games and delusions of grandeur were written till E6, really.

That's when the Buck Tommy kind of flat lined, and what was shown was meh. Then they were desperately praying there would be on on screen pledge of commitment to shut us up before the season ended. Never happened. Pretty much all of the speculation came from paying for Lous Cameos. They built stories around them. Heavily used his cameo wearing the medal when he said they were "thriving." We all know they literally had one scene after that. Then Lou had to shut down his account, and now they were in a drought.

So they moved along into speculation territory for weeks until Oliver's live. Before then, we received their ire. We were bullies and harassing Lou ext. In the live, he basically grimaced and ignored the Buck Tommy question and smiled and blushed at Buddie. Have to remember with, in the same time frame, we had Ryan basically say so you know Buck and Eddie during an interview non 911 related, but also the old Lou interview started circulating again. The one where he basically says they called me last minute to kiss one of them and that he was basically called in to work out Bucks kinks as a starter relationship.

Clearly, this caused panic in the BT PR room!!

But it was weird because after Oliver's recent life, that's when they turned on him. Because now they had to confront why he had never posted about Tommy, followed Lou and only posted Eddie. I have seen that happen in other fandoms, but it's usually by main characters. Not a random side character. So my point is if Oliver continues as is, BTS starts popping up no Lou, Ryan, and Oliver promo. They are turning on Oliver if he doesn't promote BT. They already did and that was just the first trial by fire.

Since then, though, like any good conspiracy type behavior, it's like they forgot they were mad and never mentioned Oliver's expressions during it. Or the fact he seems to not care about the pairing.

They are back in delusional land. Some delusions include.... It's good Chris will be gone because it provides space for Buck to detach from Eddie, and we get more Tommy. Tommy will be more main character LI and involved with the team. Huge chance Tommy finally comes clean to Buck he was into Eddie before, and Buck being so loving invites Eddie to join them. Eddie secretly pines for Tommy. Tommy taking over father roles for both Eddie and Buck because clearly they need his help. Also sexual fantasies clearly written by straight people.

But mark my words... If it keeps going with no sign of Lou, Tommy, or Oliver acknowledging BT, it will because of us and Oliver. If that happens, I will, of course, message you.

And if people really want to know I am happy to always report back the gossip...

But if that was long winded as hell and you skipped to the bottom.. Yes, they turned on Oliver (behind closed doors) because his live was the first chance since the cameos to get anything. And he said let them eat cake....

Okay, but seriously, do they realize how cameo works or do they think Lou was just saying those things because he felt like it? When you pay for those videos, you send him a message that prompts him. He was saying what they paid him to say. I'm...... I'm glad to know they are also unhappy with the way the relationship has been treated, I feel vindicated.

Also the way they also agree Tommy looked more interested in Eddie and are creating their own delusions on top of Eddie pining for Tommy? I don't even want to think about Tommy being a better parent, that one just makes me want to pick a fight. Interesting to know they are having the three-way fantasies in private while completely turning on Eddie out here.

Honestly, the chaos that will happen once filming starts is not something I'm looking forward to, because there won't be the level of content they want and that will 10000000% make them more feral. Especially considering the way Oliver is on our side, and even with bt on the making the promotion of s7 leaned HEAVILY on Oliver and Ryan together. And it worked. So it will probably happen again. And given how small Tommy's role was in the back half of the season, him not being around all that much is the more plausible scenario. And well, publicly turning on Oliver is not gonna get the reaction they think it will, so that's gonna be interesting for sure.

No matter how many Lithuania, Poland, Baltics or Lietpol or anything within whatever this category is, I WILL NEVER GET TIRED OF IT! the hit of dopamine I get when I see a new art from you just makes me feel overjoyed. As an (not professional teen) artist I love the way you color your characters, I’m always mesmerized by it and I don’t think I’ll get tired of your art anytime soon at all. As soon as I saw it I was like “OMG! OMG!” And the energy I felt, I feel like your depiction of them always is so interesting to me however you depict them and the latest art is so so so cute, I love cute stuff too. I now got the motivation to draw but oh god I wish I could draw comics cause I’m still at the level where I’m not sure how to…

Wow thank you!! What a nice thing to say. It makes me very happy you like the characterization tbh, because everytime I draw them I have like 6 moments where I'm like is that OOC? Are they too silly? So that's reassuring to hear haha. It's so cool you found motivation to draw after seeing the comic?! Like I'm inspired by so many artists and a piece I drew beeing partly an inspiration to somebody else is the specialest thing to me ;v; thanks for that! Comics are as so many other things a matter of practice imo. There was a time where I went I can never do that, like my comic tag is still called comic attempts which is kinda telling about how much faith I had in my work back then.

Very much unasked for, but I'm going to ramble a bit a lot about what I think is helpful when starting a comic (imo) under the cut haha.

The essential part to get started can be broken down to three things, which are, at least to me, Idea, panel set up and then obviously drawing the action.

Writing a comic just for the sake of writing a comic never works for me. I need to have at least a rough idea to get going. This can vary from a specific punchline, to just a single image or action I consider fun to draw. It's helpful to write/sketch your ideas down, which is probably the most art teacher advice ever, but what can I say, it works imo. Be it a piece of dialogue that you came up with or just a single expression, just safe it somewhere and you have a base to work with! It doesn't even have to look fancy at all.

See that little Lud (like you can't even recognize it as Lud) stick figure on the bottom left there? This was my starting point for the lipstick comic together with some random bits of dialogue which are barely readable I guess so I typed them in the image description :D

As soon as you notice one image isn't enough to show what you want to show it's time to consider making a comic (like even two panels can be a comic for starters I think).

One of the essential parts is that usually a comic manages to show the passage of time and therefor depicts an action. So before you plan any further it's good to figure out which action(s) you want your comic to show, based the ideas you wrote/sketched down. Try to put it into words if that helps, like 'Character A reacts positively to Characters B's new hairslyle', or 'Character A hugs Character B and they are flustered about it' (maybe start with something simple even if it seems uneventful at first :D)

After you roughly know what your comic is about you can go on to the panel set up. For me it's always best to figure out how the comic starts and how it ends at very first because I tend to get lost otherwise. If you've got a panel or expression you desperately want to incorporate keep it in mind so it adds up with your start and end point. As the author you decide what the comic emphasizes on and where you want to direct the readers vision, which is the fun part imo :D

sketch down a few panels and try to adjust them. You can always change and discard them again, no need to make it pretty, just do stick figures if you like. Here is an example from the Liet and Lat dad comic. This particular sketch emphasizes on expressions, because their expressions where the most important silly part about it to me. Try to keep in mind what you'd like to show or what type of joke you want to make while doing your panel set up drafts.

Even with everything in mind this can be difficult though. So what always helps me is to imagine some type of grid to keep the pages balanced. Like if I do a comic with several panels on a canvas, I go by the rule of only deviding the canvas (say A4) into three parts at maximum horizontally as well as vertically. (Of course how you do it is completely up to you, there are great examples with more panels and crazier panel set ups, but especially at first I figured one tends to enthusiastically throw in panel after panel and then ends up with something hard to work with.)

I hope the idea comes across a little, like you can adjust the sizes or shapes of the panels (square, rectanglular, trapezoid etc.) as you wish, do only one or two panels in a row but try to keep it at 3 at maximum if you want something easy and clear to start with c:

It's also completely fine to not do the set up from scratch and maybe use a guide or references if that makes it easier for you! Here are some free to use examples. Looking at other comic pages and focusing on the panel set up of those can also help to come up with your own variations imo :D

The shape and size of the panels should at best be directed by the action. Like I said you guide the readers vision and present what's important. You could for example choose a big canvas to get an overview over the room the action takes place in, or devide movement into several panels to focus on what a character does. To get the hang of this is once again a matter of practice though. The more often you do it and the more examples you look at, the easier it gets imo :) start with something you deem super easy (maybe two or three panels or a single reaction to something only) and go a little more crazy with each comic idea.

keep in mind that the reader should at best get what's going on though (I struggled with that several times already and nothing is as sad than to post something and get a bunch of confused comments/tags afterwards no offense though, that's not the readers fault 99% of the time 😅). To prevent this it sometimes helps to look at your comic while hiding the dialogue imo. Like dialogue (if you choose to have it) of course is a set part of your comic as well, but if you only even roughly get what happens, or are able to set a specific mood without it you're on a safe side. You can also show your comic to a friend and let them explain it to you afterwards to see if your point came across. :D Kudos to my sister here.

Don't forget to put down the rough dialogue at the panel set up part already though! It's frustrating if you have to puzzle the speechbubbles in at the end and block half of your comic composition :c Plus speechbubbles also help to adjust the reading flow a little and can hide parts that are hard to draw but shhh.

Incorporate things you're looking foward to draw to keep you motivated. (That's a very me problem tbh) and take breaks and reread the thing to see if the pacing is too fast or slow.

DayMiiAwn And The Magic Railroad (Director's Cut)

I feel I'm one of the few people who really likes the Magic Railroad Deleted Storylines. Here are some random thoughts on it.

For starters P.T. Boomer wasn't at all what I expected, but I enjoyed him none the less. It was weird how Doug Lennox delivered certain lines ("It's gonna be mine, all mine" is just begging to be said in an over-the-top maniacal voice), but there was a lot of restraint to the performance that made the character feel more real and menacing. He was basically just the aged-up version of how a playground bully would behave in this kind of movie, and I think it adds some relatability to the dynamic between him and Burnett. This is more a personal note, but I find characters (not just villains in specific) who are willing to carelessly destroy other people's belongings to be deeply upsetting, so watching him stroll through Burnett's garden and punching Mr. Conductor's flower basket might have really scared me as a kid, which I'm not saying is a bad thing. Funnily, I think the general character trait of disrespecting nature is pretty good for Boomer. It could be a nice additional subtext to the movie, if the steam engines themselves weren't so bad for the environment.

I don't really mind the lack of engine characters. Before the workprint and deleted storylines released, I was only really interested in the missing Sodor scenes, but when these things released with so little to offer, I took the time to really watch these new human scenes, and I think together they make a perfectly compelling story about familial discourse. Burnett is the grandfather. In Lily's eyes, that means he's supposed to be a warm, welcoming figure. But ever since the love of his life passed away, Burnett has become a recluse, contacted only by his far away family and his occasional errand boy Patch. Lily no longer enjoys visiting her grandpa, but if finally forced when her father is away on business and her mother is about to give birth. She crafts him a friendship bracelet, which her grandma taught her to make, in the hopes that it will finally cheer him up. Despite how mature Lily makes herself out to be, she still maintains a childish mentality about the whole thing, that because Burnett is the grandpa, he's supposed to remain a consistently positive presence. When Lily does arrive, she shares a deathly quiet dinner with her grandpa, in what is probably the least cheerful scene filmed for the movie. Afterward, she shows Burnett the bracelet and tries in vain to put it on him. Burnett pushes her away. Lily goes to bed, and only after she's gone is Burnett willing to let his grief show. The next day, Lily tries to casually bring up the subject of her grandma, and Burnett plays dumb. Sick of trying to connect with him, Lily storms off to where she ends up meeting Patch. It's good to know why she looked so pissed off in the finished movie.

Patch is hardworking, loyal, and deeply respects his elders like Billy and Burnett. Though he comes off as kind of a blank slate in the final movie, in the deleted scenes he's one of the nicest characters in the movie. Just his willingness to maintain long, wistful stories from old men proves that he has the patience of a saint. He's just a good, old fashioned country boy who's willing to help anyone. He brings Lily to Shining Time Station, then leaves for a while to do one of his many errands. And when he returns Lily is missing. Patch has shown interest in the mysterious before, but he's never shown any awareness of the magical properties of Shining Time, so when Lily simply disappears, he doesn't know what to think, leading to my favorite Cody McMains performance in the whole movie, where he sounds genuinely distraught by everything that's taken place. Something I find interesting is how Burnett's grief over his wife and his grief over Lady are treated as two wholly different plotlines, one pertaining more to Lily and the other pertaining to Boomer. Patch sits in the middle of both conflicts, and it's a little awkward watching him juggle all the different roles he needs to fill. Most noteworthy is the scene where he shamefully admits to Burnett that he doesn't know where Lily is. That Burnett put his trust in Patch, and Patch failed him. Surprisingly, Burnett isn't angry, but as he quietly walks away, Patch then flip-flops to questioning him about the lost engine, and even gets sort of interrogative with him, when he was just apologizing to him a moment ago. Then Boomer shows up, and tries to bribe Patch for information in what's actually a kind of creepy scene. Here is where Patch shows him true colors. He stands by Burnett and refuses Boomer's offer, and it's the most firm he's ever been with someone. Here we get the complete version of Lady's backstory, which was senselessly chopped in half in the final version of the film. Presenting the big reveal scene in two separate halves makes Patch visiting Burnett in his secret workshop look like a common occurrence, and doesn't really achieve the same impact the scene was written with the intent to have.

Lily leaving to go to Shining Time is when the wedge in her relationship with Burnett is driven the furthest. Burnett knows where Lily went, and in his eyes, it means she doesn't want to be around him. In Lily's eyes, Burnett is just some sad sack who wants to wallow in his own misery, and sees her presence as a burden. Meanwhile, on Sodor, Lily has observed the behaviors of Mr. Conductor and Junior, one a responsible gentleman, the other a party dude, and when they're together, they never stop arguing. Yet, when Junior is abducted, Mr. Conductor is deeply concerned about him, because in the end, they're family, and they love one another unconditionally. When Mr. Conductor explains this to Lily at the campfire, he's not lecturing her, he's simply stating a fact, then asks her opinion. Lily seems to reject the idea momentarily, but slowly realizes there's nothing there to disagree with. She does love her grandfather, no matter what mood he's in. She decides to go home. She reunites with Burnett, and the two finally share a heart-to-heart. Burnett opens up about his grief for Tasha, and manages to tie it back into his failure with Lady. This time, when Burnett shows a slight hesitance to speak, Lily supports him, rather then running away. Lily tightens the bracelet around Burnett's wrist. He doesn't push her away. Tasha and Lady are intrinsically tied. Bringing Lady back also honors Tasha's memory. From here, Burnett is like a different character. Even during the chase scene, where he vicariously confronts Boomer, he seems to have a playful attitude about the whole thing. That's the hidden beauty of the chase scene, I think. Burnett is enjoying it the same way the audience is enjoying it.

In the final movie, we don't see Burnett or Lily again after the transition from the bluebird, but of course, in the workprint and deleted storylines, Lily narrates the story' conclusion, and shows us that after coming home, Burnett was willing to let people into his life again. Inviting the whole family over to visit and reconnecting with Billy Twofeathers. He lived out the rest his days peacefully. Patch, by allying himself with the side of good, not only got to see the sights of Sodor, but would also end up marrying Lily, showing how this strange experience helped him form lifelong bonds. And our protagonist Lily has learned the true value of family. Oh, and Thomas is there too.

never be sorry about saying hello!!!! 🥺 no matter how many times. i love it. 😌 it makes me feel apart of things. 🥹 but you know, your ask made me kinda sit there and have a think. 🧐 mostly bc—everything i wanted to include in The Widening Sky, i included!!! 🥺 all the little moments they would’ve had would’ve been—just that, little moments. 🥺 Reader’s calves burning against the hot, wet rock she’s perched on, waiting for Bakugou to come back from some random errand. Or maybe… napping under the shade of the trees while he splashes about, annoyed that she’s wasting their time together by sleeping. Or paddling in the sea while Bakugou rolls around in the shallows like a bored seal pup.

one thing, though, that like, the fic didn’t have room for was what exactly Bakugou was getting up to, after Reader treks back through the scrub to Grandma’s house. Because Bakugou is first and foremost a warrior, right? like the whole reason they end up meeting is because he’s like, curled away licking at his wounds and fish-cursing lmao. and i’ve always thought that if he had people out there, in the ocean, that they wouldn’t…. stay in one place. humans are everywhere! we have eyes everywhere!! even in like, the waters around their island—it’s not really theirs. and especially not with whatever is polluting it, during the fic. so i think if there were others like Bakugou out there, they’d eventually inch further and further away, hide away on some abandoned stretch of shore along a island too tiny and too important for humans to have cameras or eyes on it. Leaving Bakugou—essentially the vanguard, out on a mission!!! so what i think Reader doesn’t realise, when she’s kicking off her sandals at Grandma’s door and brushing the sand off and getting dinner ready while the TV blares out behind her is that—Bakugou doesn’t just go back to some nice charming little seacave filled with like, seaglass that reflects watercolour lights on the walls. He doesn’t get to go to sleep on a bed of seaweed when Reader’s curling into her pillow, with the window open behind her. He’s out there in the dark, keeping watch for something in the water that shouldn’t be there. Maybe there’s a handful of others with him, all of them spread out. But the point is that he is very much embroiled in something beyond us, and that those like… golden, in-between hours we have with him are stolen, on both our parts. 🌅🌾

tbh, i haven’t given much thought to a reversal situation. 🧐 have you read @/smashboxgirl26’s hidden in the sand? i was thinking about it, after you sent your ask, and did the following doodle for it but like—i think she pulls off quite well the problem that i struggle with, in regards to making Reader the mermaid? like in Smashie’s fic, Bakugou’s returned to an island where he used to holiday as a kid—but it’s different now. He’s a pro hero for starters, and the summer-hours friend he had (you) is missing—gone. writing it from Bakugou’s POV is such a clever way of getting around the question of like, how do you have a mermaid reader-insert where you don’t have to like, write convincingly about them living in the ocean. because!!! idk about the rest of u but it seems like living in the ocean 24/7 would be very scary. and dark. dark!!! anyways my point is i admire how smashie does it. 😌 so highly recommend.

For those of you who've been following me for a while now, there's a good chance you got to experience my journey reading the Remembrance of Earth's Past series last year. I loved Three-Body Problem, but The Dark Forest and Death's End were like pulling teeth. Both books had their very very good moments, but getting through them was a tedious experience I considered giving up on on multiple occasions. I will give it to Cixin Liu tho, I needed to know how the series ended and that alone was the sole reason I pushed towards the finish line. Any author that can make me tough out bad writing for the sake of seeing the end deserves some kind of award (and he won a ton anyway, so).

I approached the Netflix series with zero expectations given their propensity for shitty adaptations (One Piece notwithstanding), but after watching the first episode I was left cautiously optimistic.

Having watched all 8 episode I'm still unsure how to feel about it. I spent most of the series hitting pause to rant at my roommate about it, both positively and negatively.

I had many issues with the books, but some of the more obvious ones came from a writing standpoint. I love hard sci-fi. I could not excuse the sheer length of those final two books. The atrocious treatment of women as objects to romance and use as bartering for the main character. The abysmal MCs (specifically Luo Ji) that made me want to yell to the high heavens due to annoying they were. The lack of human connection between characters.

For books so steeped in sociopolitical and ethical commentaries, the flagrant misogyny and homophobia was eye-rolling. And not even in a "This is Bad" sort of way, just in a "This is So Fucking Boring" kind of way. I cannot speak for the author's biases, because the contents of a book in no way reflects the views of an author or their character.

Where the books shone the brightest were during the battle scenes, the looming dread, genuinely horrific thought experiments.

And, surprisingly? It feels like the people at Netflix thought the same.

I've never watched Game of Thrones but I understood why people were against it from the get-go. That, along with the whole "whitewashing" thing which I consider to be interesting. For starters, you're using whitewashed wrong. Yes, they moved the central story from China to England which was... a fascinating choice, but of the core five (that quickly became the core four), only two of them are white. I'm not saying it was okay for a western adaptation to take a cast and further diversify it, I'm just saying that that's not whitewashing.

That aside, I did like some of the choices that were made from a narrative standpoint. Reshuffling and streamlining events, for one. Removing the whole plot line about Luo Ji hunting down a woman who he invented in his head in order to marry her? I'm not entirely sold on the idea of taking core events and divvying them up between four different people, but I do understand what they're trying to do.

The book series failed at crafting believable and impactful relationships between its human characters, which made the narrative feel hollow and one-dimensional. This adaptation aimed to change this by slapping a band-aid over the issue. Like I said, I'm still unsure of how I feel about this.

A lot of unnecessary stuffing was removed to make a suitable run time, and I say unnecessary because there's really no scenes that are making me go "oh, I wish this had been included". Was some stuff rushed? Yes. The passage of time could have been outlined a little better, but that's a small nitpick on my end.

The scale of things was toned down, and I don't think Netflix has the capability (or budget) to tackle space battles.

Honestly? I don't really see this getting a second season for a variety of reasons, and I'd be okay with that.

It was an "okay" watch, in the end.

Tho, I'm still flabbergasted by the random "gory scary jumpscare" scenes????? Where did those come from??? I don't remember anything like that being in the books but, you know. I've read a lot more books since finishing these, so.

Chemistry with him (Ninovember 2023)

It’s finally time!! I'm so excited to share this fic!! Read it on ao3. Written for @ninovember, these prompts were such a blast! Thanks so much!

Daily updates on ao3 with one chapter per prompt! Adrino meet cute in chemistry class with lots of fluff, some identity shenanigans, and eventual reveal. All my usual vices haha but it's super fun and cute! I’m expecting it to be around 45-50k in the end.

First chapter below the cut (Solo song) 💕

Nino was feeling really, really alone as he walked into his chemistry lecture. The room was massive, easily set up to fit a few hundred students and already half-full. He was immediately overwhelmed by it all.

(He wished he knew why he had to take this class, for starters, because he wasn’t looking forward to it.)

He’d imagined his first day at uni plenty of times, and it never panned out like this. This… kinda sucked. He was all alone, all of his friends at other schools. He picked out a seat in the middle of the lecture hall at random, because it’s not like he’d know anybody in this class. He didn’t know anyone who was already here. He wouldn’t know anyone who came in later.

It wasn’t all that bad. Nino was, unfortunately, kind of used to being alone.

He hadn’t planned for this. He hadn’t planned to come to this uni, knowing no one, having no friends here at all. When he’d committed, so had his (at the time) boyfriend. But his now-ex was someone he definitely didn’t want to see. And, well, since they’d planned to move in together, Nino was now stuck still living at home.

Which kinda sucked, when all his friends got to move out and into their own places, but at least Nino got to still enjoy his mom’s cooking and he was walking distance from his classes.

And he was used to being alone, so he could totally do this. He’d done it before. He could make it through the semester, and maybe even find some new friends, and it’s not like he wouldn’t see all his old friends from lycèe. He could hang out with them. He was still Carapace, so he’d see Marinette and Alya (and Chat Noir, whoever he was) on patrols and during akumas. He’d just be alone in all of his classes. But it would be fine, as long as he kept his head on straight.

It kind of sucked he was taking chemistry, but classes had filled up fast and he needed to take something and his advisor had said the credits would, somehow, count towards his major. It really sucked he was taking it first thing on a Monday morning (and Wednesdays, and Fridays, unfortunately). But he could get through it. He knew he could.

So no more boys. No distractions. He could do this all on his own.

“Is anyone sitting here?”

Nino looked up to find the source of the voice. A blond, green-eyed, absolutely beautiful someone.

Okay. Maybe one distraction.

“It’s all yours,” Nino said.

The man smiled as he sat down next to Nino. “Thanks.” He was almost impossibly handsome, far too put together for a Monday morning lecture, and Nino knew instantly he was in trouble.

(He wasn’t in love with this guy. He’d said all of three words to him.

Except, well, he was maybe a little in love with him and his perfect smile.)

He was kind of familiar, actually, now that Nino thought about it. Like, really familiar. “Do I know you from somewhere?”

“You might’ve seen me on a billboard on your way in. Or maybe in an ad,” the man said with a shrug.

A model? That would explain how Nino knew his face (and how attractive he was), but he couldn’t quite place him still. “Yeah, I’ve definitely seen you before. I can’t remember your name.”

“You’ll get it,” the man said, and then he winked.

Nino was a little speechless, his heart in his throat, but he missed his chance to really say anything else. The man was digging out a notebook and getting ready for class, and Nino didn’t want to interrupt.

“Hey, are you taking the lab for this class?” the man asked.

“Oh, no,” Nino said. “That seemed terrible.”

He laughed a little. “I was gonna ask you where it was, but I guess you’re not the person to ask, huh?”

“Definitely not. Sorry.”

“No worries.” The man offered him a warm smile before turning his attention back to his notebook.

God, what was his name? It was right on the tip of Nino’s tongue. Something with an ‘A’, he was pretty sure. Nino really wanted to keep talking to him, and remembering his name would be a really good excuse to talk.

It didn’t come to him before the professor started talking, though, and then it was definitely too late.

The lecture, thankfully, wasn’t really much of a lecture. It was the first day so there wasn’t much content to be learned, and it meant Nino could think about the person sitting next to him. He’d much rather think about that than listen to the professor read over the syllabus.

He’d definitely seen this guy before. And if he was a model, Marinette had maybe talked about him before. No, Marinette had definitely shown Nino pictures of him before.

He finally remembered after class, when the man had already packed up his things and had started walking away.

“Adrien!” Nino shouted, and he definitely hadn’t meant to say that so loud.

Adrien turned back around, clearly startled.

“Sorry!” Nino said quickly. “I, uh, I just remembered your name.”

Adrien smiled and even laughed a little. “Yeah. That’s me. Do I get to know your name?”

“I’m Nino.”

“Well, Nino,” Adrien said, shifting his bag on his shoulder, “I’ll see you next class?”

“Yeah,” Nino said, suddenly excited to come to his chemistry lecture. “I’ll save you a seat.”

“I’m looking forward to it.” Adrien waved, and Nino was frozen in place watching him go.

Adrien Agreste. That was his name. Nino couldn’t believe the chances of Adrien Agreste being in his lecture, let alone sitting next to him. Maybe chemistry wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Nino almost couldn’t believe it when he found himself looking forward to his next chemistry lecture. It was stupid to be excited about seeing Adrien, but he was. And, hey, he’d take just about anything to make the class more bearable.

He sat in the same seat as last time, and he waited. He wasn’t surprised when he heard his name.

“Nino!” Adrien said excitedly as he walked over, smiling bright.

“Hey, Adrien,” Nino said, smiling right back.

“Thanks for keeping me a seat,” Adrien said. “I can’t believe how many people are in this lecture.”

Most of the seats around them were already taken. Nino would be more than happy to save one next to him for Adrien every day. “I think it’s, like, 300 people.”

“I’d believe it,” Adrien said.

The professor started talking, quieting down the room, and it meant Nino couldn’t talk to Adrien anymore.

He was, obviously, upset about that. He only came to this class to see Adrien. Any learning he might do was not his top priority.

He ended up not learning all that much even without talking. Adrien took diligent notes next to him, and Nino tried. He did okay for the most part, even, and kind of understood what was going on, but got lost during the last few minutes and couldn’t get himself back on track.

His notes were definitely not going to help him figure this out. But Adrien…

Nino turned to him. “Hey, did you get notes on the last couple slides?” he asked. “I got kinda lost.”

“Oh, yeah,” Adrien said, pushing his notes towards Nino. “You can take a picture if you want. I think I got it all.”

Adrien’s notes were meticulous. Well-organized and in neat handwriting, a thousand times nicer than Nino’s ever were. Nino pulled out his phone to take the picture. “Thanks.”

“Where’s your next class?” Adrien asked as he packed up his things.

“Across campus,” Nino said with a sigh. “In the music building.”

“Music?” Adrien said, clearly surprised.

“My major,” Nino explained.

Adrien just looked more confused. “What are you doing in a chemistry course?”

“I wish I knew,” Nino said with a laugh.

“Fair enough,” Adrien said, laughing with him. “Well, I have a class that way, so I can walk with you.”

“Sure. Thanks.” Nino wasn’t going to question why Adrien wanted to walk with him. He was plenty happy about it. “What’s your major?” he asked as they left the lecture hall.

“I’m not sure yet,” Adrien said. “Physics, maybe? Or I was thinking biochem. I’m just taking a bunch of random classes right now.”

“Well, at least you have a good reason to be in the chem lecture.”

“Yeah. It’s kinda fun.”

“What?” Nino was almost disgusted. “You did not just call chemistry fun.”

“Sure,” Adrien said casually. “I like it.”

“Okay, I’m definitely glad you chose to sit next to me. I’m getting all your notes.”

“I’m happy to share.”

How was Adrien so nice? It was almost unfair. Cute, smart, and unbelievably normal and kind?

Nino knew he was in trouble, and he wasn’t even upset about it.

“Thanks,” he said. “You know, I was really dreading this class before. But maybe I’ll actually pass.”

“I’m sure you will.” Adrien smiled, warm and genuine, and it was clear he meant every word he said. “I have to go that way,” he said, pointing, “but I’ll see you next class.”

“Yeah. See you then.” Nino waved, and he forced himself to keep walking towards his own class, but his mind was not remotely thinking about it.

He was thinking about Adrien.

Adrien, who clearly wanted to talk to him. Adrien the supermodel who Nino was definitely super into. He couldn’t wait to tell his friends about this. He could already hear Alya telling him to slow down, and Marinette encouraging him on.

They had a patrol scheduled for tonight. Nino was looking forward to it.

Mari/Ortho(Reflected Melodies AU)

Bio: Ortho Shroud(Mari) the first one to recover a certain set of memories. Even before Ortho became the way he is now, however it wasn’t all of them, just the set before a certain “incident” took place. He only recalled all of those memories(and I mean ALL of them) much later but even then it was before the other five. Ortho himself will still behave as he normally does, it just for some reason when it came to some of the others at NRC he emits this kinda strange calming aura around him(when he is not ticked off or angry that is). In fact he would sometimes be really kind to others if possible(he even approached Yuu way earlier compared to canon due to Ortho[Mari]feeling sympathetic for the prefect, recalling that [Mari and her little brother including the others……] had technically had no magic so to speak. Especially recognizing the name where Yuu apparently came from[FARAWAY TOWN]). He still sometimes try to at least have small picnics alone, even if he himself is unable eat(for now).[He knows who Idia used to be……how can she not recognize her own little brother Sunny after all], he even sometimes wonder when he can start to learn how to play the piano(again).

However if there was one thing I regretted during that time, it would have been pushing you too hard when it came to practicing for our recital back then. Our time now as Ortho and Idia on the other hand, I got to be the younger sibling this time for starters, and I didn’t think too much of being a perfectionist during it either. Though we both didn’t got to see the outside world being in Styx. I recall being an older sister figure for him and that I believe I smiled quite often when Kel himself around, we both may have not talked with each other as much as when it came to the others in our friend group but he’s just as special as the rest of our friends(I believe the two of us had in interest in sports, Kel with basketball and myself with softball, though I also ended up with a bad knee because of it so I couldn’t exactly play anymore). Though I still recall him and Sunny did something when both myself and Hero weren’t looking. I don’t even know if Aubrey and Basil knew about that one. Random thought aside………I’m sorry for hurting both you and Hero the way I did because of what happened to me. I wish I can apologize to you and Hero. If only I can speak to you both once more in this life”

Aubrey/??? - “Aubrey, she was truly the little sister I never had for me. Being the only girls in our entire friend group. I remember fondly talking about all sorts of girly things. I even remember the both of us talking about dyeing our hair together back then. With hers being pink while I dyed mine purple…………I’m sorry for leaving you the way I did Aubrey. For extremely long and grindy pay 2 win mobile games like this, I am playing until the inevitable brick wall. Most mobile games follow the same pattern: at the start, you’ll get lots of lootboxes thrown at you, you’ll get a bit of premium currency, and progression will be nice and swift to try and “hook” you. Then suddenly, progression stops. To get further, you’ll either need to grind for weeks, or pay money.

In Star Trek Timelines, there’s a random time anomaly messing with time to enable using characters and ships from all of the shows. It’s the go-to plot for Star Trek mobile games because it means more potential for selling stuff. Your mission is to fix the time anomalies, although with a game like this, there is never actually an “ending” as it means the game would be finished, so you know everything you do will fail.

I’ll start by talking about the good thing of Timelines. For starters, the graphics are really nice. Between missions, you get to see your ship in the planetary system the mission is set in, and they all look wonderful (if a bit busy). There’s nothing to actually do with this, it’s just a backdrop to look at, so it’s a bit frivolous and seems like a colossal waste of the nice assets.

Now I’ve finished talking about the good points, it’s on to the bad: this is barely a game. The main gameplay are away missions. Your crew have stats and you pick three for an away mission. You have “choices” in the mission but it just amounts to picking the person with the highest stat. You can’t use the same person on two actions in a row, so sometimes you have to pick the second best stat. That’s the total amount of thinking you use in the game. The writing is so dry and the use of just random versions of characters makes everything feel so unimportant that I found myself not having the energy to read most of the dialogue.

The game is all about collecting, and earning random things. Unless you spend a massive amount of time or money, you’re not going to be able to use the characters you like, it’s just whoever you happen to have. You need multiples of the same character to merge and you need to collect items (randomly) to improve their stats. I reached a point in mission 3 where I simply didn’t have the required stat. The way to continue is to play random old missions until you are randomly given something that will help. I managed to get 10 “premium” lootboxes which gave me a ton of characters…none of them useful. But don’t worry, you can buy specific crew at certain times by buying bundles that go up to £92!!!

I remember playing the beta of this and it had an in-depth combat system. It was a turn-based strategy that was a bit like rock-paper-scissors where your abilities worked against certain abilities, but made your ship vulnerable to others. This system was completely thrown out during the beta and replaced with one where you tap icons when they’ve finished charging. There’s so little thought involved that there’s an autoplay button along with an option to speed up the battles.

Timelines is definitely among the worst of all the Star Trek games. It’s devoid of anything interesting, there’s no gameplay and it’s just a chore repeatedly asking you to give it a ridiculous amount of money.
