“Oh my god, you guys really didn’t have to come over,” yn says, rummaging through her closet in a frantic attempt to find something to wear. Kai chuckles from the corner of the room, shaking his head. “bro you need all the help you can get. Whatever you’re doing to scare these guys off, it’s definitely working.”

Meanwhile, Juyeon is casually snacking on whatever he could find in yns fridge, seemingly unfazed by the chaos in the room. Yumi, who’s also digging through yns closet, suddenly stops and gasps. “yn! Look! Wear this! It’s perfect!” she exclaims, holding up a black off the shoulder top and a cute dark wash mini skirt “pfft is that even going to fit on her, I haven’t seen her wear that shirt since forever” wonbin says next to juyeon whos also snacking on the same thing

yn glares at wonbin and then glances at the mess of clothes scattered all over the room. “I don’t know if this is going to fit, ugh it doesn’t even look like it can go over my head bro” “Trust me,” Yumi says, grinning. “At this point, you’ve got nothing to lose nini” “wow thanks for all the support my loving friends who have gotten me into this situation in the first place” yn says laying on the floor making a snow angel with all her clothes on the floor.

“oh my god can you try it on already we don’t have all day” juyeon says rummaging through her fridge even more trying to find her secret stash of food. yn noticing “yea i will if you can get your fat fingers away from my fridge” juyeon gasps loudly “cmonnnn nini go try it on” yumi forces her to get up and pushes her towards her bathroom door. “ok fine but if i look like a hot mess im not coming out” “OH CMONN THATS THE FUN PART” kai yells from his corner and wonbin nodding silently from the kitchen counter.

“Oh my god, is she seriously still laying on the floor?” Juyeon calls out from the kitchen counter, voice muffled by the fridge door as he digs through it, clearly trying to find yns secret stash of snacks. “We’re starving, and you’re still deciding if that shirt fits? Just get it over with already!” yn groans from the floor “I swear, youre worse than my mom. stop nagging me lee juyeon!! I’ll try it on when I want to gosh”

“Ugh, don’t act like we’re the problem here,” wonbin teases, walking toward the bathroom door. “The only thing slowing this down is you. Just try it on! I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone take so long to put on a shirt.” juyeon complains like theres no tomorrow as yumi gently pushes yn towards the bathroom door and wonbin opening the door for them. Kai pipes up from the couch, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “Yeah, honestly, you’ve got this yn. It’s just a shirt and a skirt, not like you’re reinventing the wheel.”

Wonbin, sitting lazily at the floor infront of the bathroom door with a snack, chuckles. “Do you think she’s gonna come out wearing it or just get stuck halfway through? ‘Cause that seems more likely.” yumi smacks his shoulders “stop making fun of my baby and go and get me some of whatever your eating im hungry too” wonbin winces in pain but still gets up annoyed while sticking his tongue at her. “boy if you don’t put that fat tongue back in ur mouth”

“hey guys it fits i think?” yn calls back, her voice muffled as she struggles with the shirt. “But if I come out looking like a hot mess, it’s all your fault and im never trusting u bitches again”

“Oh, we know it’s gonna be a hot mess,” Kai says with a loud laugh.

“You’re the worst huening kai.” yelling from the bathroom

After a couple of minutes, yn emerges slowly from the bathroom, standing awkwardly in the doorway with her arms crossed like she’s waiting for the inevitable onslaught of teasing. The room goes dead silent for a moment. And then, as expected, it erupts.

“Oh my god, she actually did it,” Kai says, snickering like it’s the best thing he’s seen all week. “Who let you out of your cave yn?”

Juyeon takes one look and just bursts out laughing. “Okay, hold up. Did someone spike your water? What happened to chopped yn??” YN rolls her eyes. “It’s just a shirt and a skirt. Stop acting like I’m wearing a ballgown.”

Wonbin raises an eyebrow, still munching on his snack. “Not gonna lie, though. You actually kind of look like huzz but no glaze cause your still chopped” “I’m just so glad you think I look like chopped huzz” YN says dryly, giving him a playful shove. “Really boosts my self-esteem.”

Yumi, arms crossed and grinning mischievously, steps forward. “I literally told u guys this was THE fit. like cmon now” “Oh, for sure,” Kai chimes in. “next time can you dress me. I want to look unrecognizable too.”

Juyeon snorts. “honestly, I’m kind of impressed. I didn’t think you could manage this without looking like you just stepped out of a disaster movie.” YN shoots them all a look. “Yeah, keep laughing. I’ll just make sure you don’t get any snacks next time we hang out Lee juyeon.”

“Hey, don’t threaten me im the one who landed u on yet another date” juyeon says, holding up his bag of chips.

“You’re literally the worst one to play the Cupid role omg” YN scoffs, hands on her hips.

“youre all grown up now!!! guys she’s grown up so fast” Kai throws his hands in the air dramatically, like he’s being hit with a wave of sudden emotion. “Look at you! How do you go from our little baby to suddenly ready for marriage ”

Yn glares at him, fighting back a grin. “You guys are lucky I even let you guys in here to “help” me. You’re getting one look, and then youre all leaving.”

“my nini baby all grown up,” Yumi teases, “but just remember—you can’t run away from us. We’ll be sure to remind you of this moment forever.”

“Yeah,” Wonbin says, leaning back in the kitchen chair, “you look cute, but don’t get used to it. You’ve got the nonchalant persona to maintain.”

Yn crosses her arms, giving them all a look of mock seriousness. “Alright, I’ll leave the nonchalant part to you guys. You can keep it.” The teasing continues as she heads out, but before she can fully close the door she hears juyeon scream “CAN WE EAT YOUR RAMEN!” yn rolls her eyes and peeps her head through the door “yes but only two packs you guys can share, and I’ll know if you eat more than one. I WILL KNOW.”

Can we get headcanons on WHY theyd break up? Also do you think any of the pastas would cheat?!

I shall keep this one more short and sweet since the last two posts really hold a lot of the answers

so why’d you guys break up?

Toby:

If he breaks up with you: It’s because you did something absolutely unforgivable. eg. cheated, kept a big lie from him and he found out, undermined/made fun of his trauma

If you break up with him: It’s probably because his love is suffocating. It’s cute at first, the way he wants to spend every waking hour of the day with you, the way he’s so protective of you. but, it’ll come at the cost of your freedom. he’s insecure to a fault, and it always comes back to bite him.

Jack:

If he breaks up with you: It’s because he believes he’s doing you more harm than good. In his eyes, you’re sabotaging yourself by being with him instead of some nice, normal - human - man. He thinks he’s doing you a favour.

If you break up with him: It’s because he’s a tough nut to crack. Trying to get into Jack’s mind is like trying to kick down an iron door. The allure of the silent, aloof type can only last for so long.

Brian:

If he breaks up with you: It’s because he can’t handle the work/life balance. He tried to take a shot, tried to fall back into the motions of having a normal life - but it all just feels like a sham. Probably swears off dating completely afterwards.

If you break up with him: It’s because it always feels like he’s hiding something. Like he’s biting his tongue. All that honey sweet charm just a sticky trap that caught you like a fly. He’ll never admit that he’s hiding something from you, but you just know he is. You can’t take the stress from constantly second guessing everything he says.

Tim:

If he breaks up with you: His reasoning is quite similar to Jack’s. He feels like he’s doing you a disservice by keeping you around. By letting you fall deeper and deeper in love with someone who finds it easier to show violence than affection. He’s sure you’ll thank him in the future.

If you break up with him: It’s because you thought you could fix him, and you couldn’t. You truly hoped that maybe your love could patch his wounds and coax out the man buried deep down. You couldn’t, and it’s too tiring to keep trying.

Cody:

If he breaks up with you: It’s because he can’t give you the time he knows you crave. He’s too consumed in his work. Appreciative of your presence, but reluctant to pull himself out of the lab in favour of catering to you. He knows you don’t deserve that.

If you break up with him: It’s for the exact same reason. He’s just barely there. Barely around, both mentally and physically. Even if he lets you into the lab with him, he’s often so engrossed in his tasks he barely acknowledges you. It’s exhausting to constantly be begging for his attention.

Habit:

If he breaks up with you: It’s just because he grew bored. He never loved you like you loved him, he just found you entertaining and easy to play with. But once you grow accustomed to him - once you start welcoming the pain instead of cowering away from him - it’s not as fun. Like a broken doll.

If you break up with him (or try to lol): There’s a laundry list of reasons. The psychological torment, the way he treats you more like a toy than a partner, the violence, his apathy towards anything and everything - including your emotions. It was only a matter of time until you broke.

and then would any of them cheat? hmmmmm. I really can’t picture any of them cheating on this list except for habit probs. MAYBE. MAYBE! Brian but it would definitely just be a one time drunk lapse of judgement where he immediately goes “oh fuck.” when he sobers up. he is simply too charming. if you catch him on a bad night he might be privy to give in.

It’s cute, adorable even. You’re trying so hard to get his attention, yet, all because you didn’t want to ask for it, you resort to pull a petty prank like this.

“I’m telling you; I can beat everyone in LOS. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy!”

“I believe you, I believe you. I can totally see it.”

It’s been ten minutes since you and that one guy talked, you working behind the seven-eleven cashier for today while the other is simply a customer. The signs are there: the strained smile, faux enthusiasm in your voice. Yet, despite how uninterested you are in the guy, you did your best to cling on to him. Something you rarely do, even to him, your own boyfriend.

Intending to see how much longer your shenanigans will go, Hyuk continues watching while slurping on his Pocari Sweat. Occasionally, his phone would buzz and he’d tap on his screen, tugging on his bottom lip as he reads over the text Wooin sends him.

It’s when he’s about to deal with Wooin’s temper for not texting back, the guy leaves. Then an hour later, your shift ends.

“Did you have fun talking to him?” Outside of the store, he nuzzles the crook of your neck, his arms wrapping themselves around your shoulders.

“I mean, it’s nice chatting with someone from another crew and getting to know them.” You shrug.

Instantly his grip tightens, eyes impossibly blanker.

…So, that’s how it’s going to be, huh.

Being the good boyfriend he is, he gives exactly what you want.  His full attention is on you for the rest of day and night, not once letting you in every sense to where, the next day, people were constantly looking at you when you appear in a quarter zip, constantly tugging up the zipper and looking sleep deprived while Hyuk, standing next to you, seemed more refreshed than ever. It was also, not coincidental that a certain someone from yesterday gets toyed around and taken down during the race Hyuk, surprisingly, personally volunteers to enter.

Wooin:

His smirk never disappears; eyes wide and pupils constrict and snake-like. Across the club, you’re laughing at something some loser tells you, looking as if you’re having so much fun. It might’ve been more believable that you are if your eyes had some light in them or, at least, you stop glancing at him. But what did the other know, too dumb to even realize you’ve been faking it from the very start.

His finger continues tapping on the bar counter, taking sips of his drink time-to-time as he waits it out.

You could’ve told him you wanted him to yourself for the day.  The things he needed to do today are things that can get pushed back to tomorrow –say the word, he would’ve done it. But, it’s funny really. You often whine how he’s so clingy, telling him to let go only for you to stay attached to someone who you don’t care about for over an hour.

Suddenly, there’s loud laughter in the corner you’re sitting in.

“Okay, that was a pretty good joke.”

“Yeah? Well, there’s more where that came from. Drop your number and you can hear the rest of them.”

…Forget watching, maybe he should really do it. Show the guy that you’re taken in the flashiest way. It’ll probably piss you off but consequences be damned when the guy can’t take a hint-where are you going now?

The few seconds he takes his eye off of you, you’re already making your way out. Quickly, he goes follows after you, slipping through the crowd with ease and catching up the moment you step out.

“Got bored of that guy?”

“Who the fuck-Wooin?!”  

He snickers, pulling you closer to him with the arm slung around your shoulder.

“If you really wanted my attention, you just needed to say it.”

“Who said that I wanted your attention?”

Long story short, the two of you don’t sleep that night as he makes it his mission to have everyone know you’re taken while letting you know he will always give his time to you.

‘Well there’s a first time for everything! Are you guys texting?’ Mel took a long sip of her own wine. Rose. Mel hated red wine. Samira wasn’t a fan of it either so they alternated white and roses. It was nice.

‘Yeah.’ Samira offered with a blush.

‘Flirty texting?’ Samira blinked owlishly at her suggestion. A long moment stretched between them as Samira considered it. Face cycling through a series of emotions she couldn’t quite catch.

‘Oh god this is weird.’ Samira tucked her leg up under her. Mel couldn’t stop the sad feeling that maybe Samira wasn’t as comfortable with her as she was with Samira.

‘Why? It’s just me.’ She did her best to sound cool and casual. Hoping there wasn’t an inflection or waver of insecurity. Or at least an obvious one.

‘I mean he’s also your attending.’ Samira smiled reassuringly at her. Her ability to read people and kindness amazed Mel every day. But never patronisingly. Just nice.

‘Our attending.’

‘Don’t remind me.’ Mel laughed at Samira’s petulant tone. Her cheeks rosy even in the late evening light. Samira laughed too. A light melodic laugh.

‘Samira no one is going to bat an eyelid at this. I mean everyone has gotten used to you guys flirting over patients.’

It was true People had only been slightly surprised over the comments during PittFest. Not with the walking tension that was Robby and Collins. And the disastrous Santos impaling Garcia. Apparently everyone was slightly into power dynamics. Dana had occasionally made comments about boundaries but then would suggest another betting pool.

‘No we don’t.’ Even to Mel it sounded half hearted.

‘Sustained eye contact over discussing a journal from the 70s.’ Mel adjusted her glasses, enjoying Samira’s bashful smile. The tension had been strong enough for Mel to need to walk away from it. Frank rolling his eyes as she backed out of the room.

‘Oh god. Anyway why do you ask?’

‘Send him some suggestive photos.’ Samira choked loudly. Several wing beats echoed from behind Mel’s head. A few birds had been startled by Samira’s coughing. Becca’s insistence on having a big balcony was one of her best ideas. Ideal for lazy evenings like this.

‘Mel! I can’t do that!’ Samira’s eyes turned full disney princess in how large they were.

‘I’m not suggesting nudes.’ Mel threw her hands up in the air. ‘At least not yet.’ Samira choked again. ‘You have to work your way up to that. Just start with a couple of really stunning ones. That’ll be easy.’ Mel gestured at her from head to toe. ‘You are beautiful and then depending on how he reacts you can ease into some more... fun ones.’

Samira went quiet. For a second Mel worried that she had said something wrong.

(Been a little too much? Her stomach churned. Mel was always Too Much. That no one could ever explain.)

‘Really?’

‘I get the feeling Abbot isn’t an instagram guy....’ Samira shook her head and muttered something under her breath. Something that sounded like ‘such an old man’ but in a cute way. ‘So you need to get him to see you in a non work sense. As lovely as you are in scrubs he still only sees you in work mode. There are many other facets to Samira Mohan.’

‘Oh god I can’t believe I’m agreeing to this.’ Mel clapped a little unable to hide her glee at Samira going with her idea. However reluctantly. Mel picked up her phone. Samira’s eyes widened again.

I can't really recommend Fields of Mistria to people yet bc it's early access and most people I know prefer to wait until the full game has come out, but it's like.... all I'm doing these days.
