the MV is STUNNINGGG omg it's just so beautiful. the lore is loreinggggg it's all so connected and wonderful. And yeah the general vibes are perfect with it the vintage lighting and camera and the coming of age vibes theyre so wonderful. I don't absolutely Love the song itself, i find myself being picky about some production choices, but the vibes are right and it rly matches the stunning MV so it's all good!

the funny thing about secret is that its not unlike a monsta x song .. so i'm headcannoning that they wrote another song called secret for monsta x and went ... maybe we'll give it to vity SJGJS. it's a banger tho its just super fun and groovy! and then horizon..... my rubyyyyy. It's stunning AND they're going to perform it on music bank tomorrow so it'll be his first song to get on a music show! i'm so excited. I frankly think it should've been the title...but i'm super biased jsdjdf. but anyway it matches the vibes of the lore and the now or never mv super well it's perfect in this album! it's definitely my fav of the three it's beautiful he's written some gorgeous parts for each member :'(

the lore is back full swing since before rtk into this album its just all so consistent it's so nice! they have such a nice concept of the youthful coming of age running around vibes and then astronomy vibes and the marketing matches, the aesthetics match, the sound matches its just all lovely!! AND how consistent they are with the members representative colours and words and the number 9 everywhere... you can just tell a lot of creative care was put into everything! they're not half-assing anything concept wise and it's so lovelyyyy

As if Gangle's day wasn't already bad enough...some Gloinks appeared out of nowhere and stole her comedy mask.

She was rightfully upset, especially as she recalls Caine casually mentioning that those pesky shapes tend to run wild from time to time throughout the digital circus.

That was also an indication that something else was creating new Gloinks. Not the Queen, as she became abstracted, but another creature like it.

Much to Gangle's dismay, nobody wanted to help her retrieve her beloved mask considering what happened during the first "Gather the Gloinks" adventure. All the performers--Zooble especially--preferred staying away from the nest at all costs.

Yet she couldn't.

Jax made a passing comment that she didn't have the guts to go down there by herself....and that gave her enough motivation to do exactly that.

She was done being so afraid.

Knowing the Gloink Queen was gone did give her some peace of mind, albeit not a whole lot. For all she knew, something far worse could have taken up residence in her place..

But nevertheless, she bravely descended the escalators, bidding a momentary farewell to the safety of the above-ground section of the circus-

Only to have instant regrets as a growl resounded through the dark cave, echoing off the gem-embedded walls.

She squeaked in fear, wanting to run back upstairs and forget about this whole thing...but she forced herself to press on, looking around at all the Gloinks who were seemingly minding their own business.

She could always take the easy way out: hiding in her room, accepting her old mask is gone forever, and crafting a new mask in its place.

Not today, though.

Today she was going to prove Jax wrong and become the bravest-

"Waahh!!" Nearly tripping over a Gloink, Gangle skidded to a stop and watched a mini parade of them bouncing towards something, the line leader carrying her mask.

She could only freeze in terror upon realizing that "something" was you:

Another monster similar to the Gloink Queen--with different colors and patterns and half as many eyes. You looked utterly terrifying as you slithered around, checking on some newly-produced Gloinks.

'Okay, maybe they won't see me...get it together, Gangle!!' Huffing, she shook her head, trying to hype herself up. 'You'll be fine. Just be firm and tell them you want-'

"A nongloinkian..made of strings? Interesting."

"Eek!!" She flinched, seeing every single one of your eyes staring down at her. You didn't seem angry at her intrusion, but she was utterly terrified right now.

"Come here. I won't bite." Your voice rumbled, and she had no choice but to listen to you...lest she suffered the same fate as Zooble.

Tears dripped from her tragedy mask as her legs shakily carried her closer to you, noticing some Gloinks hobbling behind her in case she thought about turning back.

There was no escaping you now.

'Oh god, this is where I die...or turn into a Gloink forever. Does anyone realize I'm gone? Would they even care if I-?'

"My Gloinks love to steal everything in sight, but I believe they wrongfully took something of yours."

"H-Huh?" Confused, Gangle looked to see the line leader approaching her with something she treasured more than all of her anime drawings and manga.

Her comedy mask.

"You're...not going to eat it?" She picked it up, not finding a single chip or crack in the ceramic texture. Then she gazed back up at you. "Thank you, but I um...thought you guys hated anyone who wasn't a Gloink.."

".....oh, uh...not me." You shook your head. "It's the queen who did. She thought everything had to be Gloink. I wanted us all to live in harmony. I tried to persuade her...but she never budged. I thought we had enough Gloinks to go around...but she was never satisfied. So with her gone, you have nothing to fear."

"I see..th-thank you again." With a meek nod, Gangle put her mask back on, which took effective almost immediately as she grinned and hopped in place. "You are too kind! How could I ever repay you o'mighty Gloink?"

You blinked, feeling flattered by her compliment. "You may call me [y/n]...for some reason, it's a name I hold near and dear to me. I'm not expecting any repayments, but...I do wish for a small change."

"Like what?"

"Maybe...seeing the upstairs? This nest gets lonely even with all these Gloinks to keep me company. But I could use a real friend." You gazed back down at her. "And I can tell you need one, too."

Once again, you've surprised her..as she stopped jumping and thought about your request for a few moments. "That would be nice..a real friend. I could talk to Caine and see about getting you upstairs. Maybe you can meet my um..fellow performers at dinner?"

Your eyes lit up. "You mean that?"

"I do! But you must promise not to steal any of Zooble's parts."

"I promise you that...um...."

"Oh! I'm Gangle, by the way." She chuckled.

"Gangle....Gangle..." You took a few moments to register the name into your brain, before your toothy smile returned. "Very well, then..go."

"Gangle? Making friends? That's as impossible as finding an exit."

"Is it an NPC? Or someone absent from today's musical number?"

"Do they like insects??"

"Guys, guys..don't worry. They're really friendly!" Gangle smiled at the other performers as they all gathered around the dinner table. She had gotten such a huge confidence boost ever since her meeting with you, and she was excited to introduce them to you!

Yet the more they pressed about this matter, the more nervous she became.

Even with her comedy mask still on, anxiety was seeping through as she rubber her ribbon hands together. "So um..just as a heads up, they're big so don't be scared if-"

"How big are we talking?" Zooble raised an eyebrow. "It's not some giant monster from one of those anime things you watch, is it?"

"No, but-"

"Hello, colorful cast of nongloinkians."

All at once, everybody fell silent upon seeing you rounding the corner, your large snakelike body slinking towards the table.

You had just enough room to squeeze your head between Gangle and Pomni--the former smiling and patting your snout in greeting, and the latter looking absolutely horrified.

"U-Um..Gangle.." She stuttered. "You do realize this is-"

"Oh don't worry, Pomni. This is [y/n]. They're nothing like the Gloink Queen. They just wanted to coexist with us, but it was hard when they were down in that cave all alone...so Caine allowed them to come upstairs!" The ribbon beamed proudly.

Everyone was certainly caught off-guard by her optimistic attitude, given they haven't seen her wear that mask in a long time. But a few smiled, glad to see her genuinely happy.

Although of course..the moment was short-lived.

"...pfft haha! Are you kidding me, Gangs? You just got yourself a big ol' pet!"

You and the others looked at Jax, who was shaking his head and kicking his feet back onto the table. "Man, you must feel really lonely to find a friend in something like that."

"Jax, that's very rude." Ragatha warned. "Gangle did nothing to you. Why are you always picking on her?"

"I mean..it's cool she tamed a giant Gloink. It could bring something new to our adventures...but I think she forgot the part where these things despise everyone who's not like-"

"Sure, little rabbit..go ahead and talk as if I'm not here.."

Tensing for a moment, Jax's gaze darted to your hostile glare. "You don't scare me, ya know....but you sure are scaring the rest of my pals." He jerked a thumb towards the trembling Kinger and Pomni, as well as the concerned Ragatha and Zooble.

You paid no mind to them, however.

"Oh, but you should be scared of me the most, rabbit." You sneered lowly, making yourself look bigger as you continued staring him down. "If what your doll friend says is true...then heed this warning: if you dare upset my new friend Gangle, you will face the wrath of my Gloinks. We will not turn you into Gloink, but we will ensure every precious item you hold dearly is consumed to make more Gloinks who will watch your every move. You will not eat nor sleep without feeling our presence all around. And we will take...and take...and TAKE until you have nothing left but those silly overalls. Are we clear?"

There was a long pause as Jax froze in his seat, for once looking genuinely terrified of your threat..although when he realized everyone else was staring, too, he brushed off the fear he felt. "Yeah sure..whatever you say, [y/n]." He then checked his imaginary watch, standing up. "I got a hot date somewhere so.....c'ya."

And with that he dashed off, leaving a cloud of bunny-shaped dust in his wake.

"Good riddance.." You huffed as you curled around his chair, looking to Gangle. "Was that good? Was I intimidating enough?"

"....y-yeah.."

"Oh no, what's wrong?" Concern flashed over your face upon seeing her tearing up. "I didn't mean to frighten you, I'm-"

"N-No..these are..happy tears.." Sniffling, she wiped the blue marks off her ceramic cheeks, giving you a big smile of reassurance. "Thank you for defending me.."

"...you're welcome." You smiled back in relief, glancing at the other performers. "Well..I hope I didn't make any of you nongloinkians lose your appetites. Eat."

"W-Well..we don't exactly need to eat." Kinger muttered. "This food's just for show. For simulation!"

"Ah, I see.."

"Can you promise your Gloink buddies won't try kidnapping me again?" Zooble asked, fidgeting with her pincher hand. "That was f---ing hell to go through....but by all means take Jax if you want. Nobody will miss him."

"Dualy noted." Nodding, you looked back at Gangle, who gave you a thumbs-up (or at least, the best thumbs-up she could muster given her ribbons), and you suddenly felt extremely welcomed by everyone here.

It was nice to finally leave the nest.

hi!! I was thinking about making an Outsiders ask blog but idk where to start and like what character to do- do you have any advice?

HELLO!!! one. DO IT!! oh lord they're so much fun!! (n if you do drop the @ cause I LOVE supportin my fellow ask blog lovelies!!) I'll leave a couple tips n tricks I've picked up!!

1.) have. fun. this is not a 9-5! don't feel like you have to answer asks you don't enjoy! don't feel like you have to be active everyday! if you aren't havin a good time stop. take a lil break. reevaluate. come back! (IF you enjoy it again!) this ain't gonna feel relevant when your first startin out but it's REAL important!

2.) havin a shtick makes it real silly n you can work that into your asks!! (I have a mailbox for mine n all the asks are 'letters'!)

3.) make a pinned post with your relevant lore n REAL clear guidelines! don't want to deal with ships? or aus? or ocs? make that clear (mostly to save yourself a bit of a headache!)

4.) as for characters pick the one you like/ feel the most comfy/ would enjoy the most!! for me I know I'd get bored/ frustrated writin on character so I left it open so I could answer for them all!!

5.) don't feel bad about adaptin your blog as you go!! I started not havin scene writin but found I liked it so adapted into some of my asks! changin as you go is half the fun!

6.) havin different fonts/ colors for each person makes understandin a LOT easier!!

7.) engage might be slow/ varied. do NOT be discouraged love. here's a real important piece of advice. if you have three people who want to engage n send in asks n constantly interact with the inbox/ posts it is INFINITLY better then a hundred people who just like. n keep at it. those few WILL come!!

8.) you don't always need asks!! feel free to do character posts without the ask that set a scene n usually people will bounce off that!!

9.) you're gonna feel silly. lean INTO it!! have a good time!!

okay so minions want to serve the most powerful (and evil) guy in the area/time they're in

if they enrolled at yumenosaki prior to the ! era they'd have been looking for a master and might've even worked under shu/valkyrie, who was the top unit at that time

eichi is easily entertained by them

they piss off keito

hiyori is very biased and can tell each minion apart

he names them things like Flowery One and Revolting One

nagisa does not understand what a minion is

tsumugi can fucking communicate in minionese

that's part of the reason natsume hates him so much. he can understand them and talk to them and it's horrifying

if the minions were to see eichi's actual plans on the surface level, that would be enough for them to see as evil

there's also the possibility that some minions might see eichi as "good" and exfine as heroes so they'd turn to serve the eccentrics instead

the minions don't harass rei because he scares them

they think he'd eat them

natsume does not like these little freaks

kanata has fun with them because i'm pretty sure they can't drown

if they can. well rip

chiaki hypes them up :)

but as far as i've seen in the minions franchise they prefer more powerful figures, and the eccentrics at that time were ostracized

and during the ! era trickstar revolution, eichi is definitely more of a villain character so the minions would attempt to help him

and then accidentally screw him over

wataru would love the minions

they're like tomoyas and little watarus to him

tori would absolutely hate them

he punts one when eichi isn't looking

yuzuru is indifferent but he likes having some help

trickstar is Very Conflicted

subaru and the minions would love each other

hokuto despises everything that they stand for

mao is like. huh. ok.

makoto "eek!"s at the sight of one

in !! era, eichi is less of a hero/villain/morally grey guy and just A Girl . at this point the remaining minions under him would either stay or find a new master, possibly gatekeeper

the minions piss him off very effectively

after kohaku beats up gatekeeper or whatever they start to follow him instead

"i imagine [kohaku] showing rinne and rinne shakes one to death or something"

niki would absolutely wonder what they taste like

himeru talks to the minions

Comics thiw eek, with the debut of Absolute Flash ?

dan-lee99 asked: Howdy there! You were probably gonna talk about it at some point anyway but I felt like asking what you thought of Absolute Batman now it's reached the 6th issue end to its first arc. I'm pretty invested in this take on Batman so far :>

Absolute Flash #1 - Of the Absolute books, this is the weakest start for me. Still enjoyable however, but it lacks a big "oh this is still recognizably Wally" the way the first issues for Bats, Wondy, and Supes showed that the core of the characters were still there. I'd been predicting this would be the Bendis/Bagley USM equivalent for the Absolute line and that seems to be the case. I'm betting that Wally won't even get his suit until the end of this first arc, first issue was very decompressed compared to the rest of the line though the Bendis parallels don't stop there. Like Ultimate Peter, Absolute Wally oozes teenage angst, and Lemire has a long track record of loner protagonists. Robles gives a franctic feel to the story with his art, and the teases about the nature of Wally's powers intrigue me. No Speed Force apparently which offers a lot of freedom to change how Flash's powers work.

Barry dying came as no surprise, of course he was going to bite it. But will he stay dead? Seen plenty of speculation that Barry will be the Absolute Zoom or Absolute Black Flash. The symbol on his suit is the reverse of Wally's. I'm hoping to see Hunter Zoloman serve as Absolute Zoom but Barry as the Black Flash would be acceptable for me. Barry is definitely one of the screaming faces we see in red when Wally's powers are fritzing.

Absolute Batman #6 - Mix of "yeah Snyder has still got it" and "yeah Snyder still has all the same flaws" here. Hype moments are as awesome as you could want - Batman dropkicking an evil kid, Batman beating Black Mask's face in with a bowling ball, Batman using his head spikes to stab Black Mask in the eyes. But Snyder's traditional weakness with endings is here too. Black Mask can throw around billions of dollars worth of crypto like it's nothing, but can't afford more than one boat's worth of servers to host his entire method for payment? Alfred orders the plane to take off but then comes out of nowhere at the end to save Bruce from drowning? Feels too convenient. Delivers dumb fun in spades though and that is enough for now.

The Last Days of Lex Luthor #2 - Been years since the last issue so was the second issue worth the wait? I'd tentatively say yes but with some caveats. First, Hitch is the true MVP of this book. His art is fantastic to look at, it's just a pity Waid is failing to take advantage of his talent. Hitch gives us these gorgeous spreads of Atlantis or the LoSH or Superman traversing the cosmos, and you're dying to see him cut loose with a big action scene spread. Instead so many pages are wasted on Waid rehashing Birthright for the people who haven't read it, or using characters as nothing more than screeds about his views on Superman. Waid doesn't even put forth a particularly compelling reason for why Superman shouldn't kill, or even just let Lex die. Arguing that if he kills one person, even a completely unrepentantly evil man like Lex is here, then he'll just keep killing bad guys isn't going to cut it nowadays - and for the love of God Waid, you need to accept that no one is going to find "if you kill this guy then you'll go kill the Joker" as a compelling counterargument since Joker has outdone Satan as evil incarnate to the point Injustice has to make Superman a Nazi to get the audience to not side with him over Batman. Wonder Woman also sucks here as usual for Waid.

Now as for what made it worth the wait? Call me an easily pleased fanboy but the tour of Superman's world was still fun. I liked seeing the Legion again, and them tweaking Lex's nose by pretending not to know who he was amused me. The trip to Atlantis was cool and Lori actually got used in a way that felt like more than Silver Age continuity wank. But what I absolutely loved, the big moment that made it all worth it, was when Clark revealed his secret identity to Lex, a desperate last gamble to try and bridge the gap between himself and Lex... and Lex mocks him for it. Isn't overwhelmed by remorse or feel empathy or even acknowledge their past friendship. Lex immediately picks up that Clark has been torturing himself for letting Lex break bad and twists the knife further: he doesn't regret a damn thing. He enjoys being a villain, he thinks he had a great life, much better than Clark's anyway. Can't help smiling at the sheer psychopathic narcissism on display, that's my favorite smug asshole.

Genuinely was surprised when Brainiac showed up but I should've seen it coming. That statue in issue 1 was obvious set up but I thought Brainiac would merely cameo at most. Instead he's revealed as the true Big Bad! Waid has talked about his ideas for Brainiac before, while I don't expect him to win me away from preferring the Johns/Morrison/Venditti revamped Brainiac, I'm down to see Waid justify why he thinks Brainiac is the foe Superman fears most. If issue 3 is on the same level as issue 2 I think this will sit alongside the World's Finest Magog arcs as a good B-Level Waid Superman story. If it gets back to how great issue 1 was, then it might yet sit in the A-Level alongside Birthright and Kingdom Come.

New Gods #4 - Cagle was born to draw New Gods, not too much plot to chew on this issue, but what a feast for the eyes his art is.

— sorta kinda related to the above, but you never see the level of hype mlm get for wlw. you just.........don't. they're an afterthought. in the context of when people make the gay ships popular, and by default, the women in the media suddenly become "lesbians", it's not because they want to see sapphic rep or content it's just because they want them out of the way of their gay ship. i've spoken about this a lot and even in the past where it like, especially bothered me during the first kill era after it got canceled DESPITE the hype. mlm are more desired than wlw in media. it just is, there's been studies on it and i'll track down an old post i've made before at some point. but it bothers me IMMENSELY. it just comes down to preference for men, to misogyny. and within fandom or rpc spaces, it's always people claiming to want to see more or that they like wlw and they like women but it's not actionable. and in a sorta unfunny, disappointing irony, it's mostly fem - aligned consumers at the crime scene. just ... so many examples of ppl caring only about mlm, with women, and wlw by extension, just an afterthought. not really UNpopular opinion i don't think but def one that disrupts the bubble people live in. i've spoken about this a lot that i'm sure it gets old, but for as long as i'll have to continue to see women pushed aside, i'll keep talking about it.

— if i have to see one more need to get [blank] pregnant "joke", i'll actually start swinging. it was haha sorta kinda funny at first but its actually so borderline disgusting.

— the argument of "i think we have bigger issues than [blank]" is actually so tired. multiple things can be true at the same time. i say this because i've seen the reactions towards those who've made the same statements as i have in the above, and yes, there are worse issues than fetishizers, or whatever else is being discussed, but that doesn't make it less of a problem.

It's hard for Aether to concentrate on his commisons when he felt eyes have been hovering over him behind his back.

Was it an enemy? Not even Piamon sense such a hawk eye vision under him. Like the spotlight of attention.

He heard Paimon saying something about eating at the restaurant since she got a monstrous appetite.

She proceeded ahead while Aether counted his mora with a slight grimace. Still, who is he to deny a Paimon. Then, upon the arrival, he watched Paimon corner herself with piles of macaroons and fonta. The sweet tooth seemed to tempt even Aether to eat some, though he wanted specifically hungry. Paimon stuffed her face saying something with filled up cheeks.

His gaze shifted to the corner, where he felt himself being watched once again. Its nerve wrecking.

They were at a peaceful corner completely invisible to the crowd except the waitress.

Maybe he was paranoid. There's no way someone was that keen to see him, if that's the case they could approach him.

"Paimons gonna order seconds and something spicy for sure"

"H-hey, control yourself and consider the expenses at least"

She waved off. "Fine, fine Paimon will be careful"

She was off, and he sighed, but it was short-lived when a touch of warm breath reached his ear he flinched away. "Well, fancy seeing you here, Aether."

Struggling to look up, the figure sat back down, and it was no doubt Lyney the magician. How did he get here? He could've sworn Lyney wasn't in this restaurant before. He really is a magician.

It's almost as if he asked a penalty question, and Lyney snickered adorably "Why indeed? I just want to pay off a debt I couldn't repay"

Huh? What debt? And was he really expecting payment from Lyney-

"Eek!" He almost shrieked when cold fingers grabbed his bare sides. Thankfully, for Aether, nobody heard it through the loud chatters of other gentlemen. He let out a sigh of wavery relief now.

Hissing desperately, he grabbed those wrists. "N-not hehehere Lyney... I thohohought-!"

"You thought what? I'll not get revenge at the times you least expect?" He manage to break free from the traveller's hold only to pinch his exposed belly.

This drove Aether nuts as he leaned back against the chair, evading those cruel fingers.

Paimon is sure taking her time ordering, and that was suspicious enough, tho that was the least of his worries. He knew Lyney would get revenge, but to come all the way here stalking him and surprising him is a bit much.

"You sure one to talk considering how you keep your sensitive spots in the open"

"Thahahat ihihis wehehell -Ahaha Lynehehehey! Yohohohou!"

There were some suspicious looks in their directions, and it was certainly brief, but Lyney had to stop and avoid getting attention. He took a mere look back only to see Paimon and Lynette having a bargain of their own.

Those two sure have a lot to talk about... Lyney thought with a wry smile.

"Ahahalright thahahats enohohohough!"

In a sudden twist of fate Aether was able to reach over and tickle Lyney's armpits who squeaked in surprise.

"Nohohot thehehere!"

"Like I sahahaid, you were asking for it"

Seems he was more ticklish, but he had to reach for Aethers' sides again just to stop him momentarily.

Though they had a secure corner they were all struggling an evenly matched war. Aether seemed to be having a bit of an advantage with Lyney's sensitivity although he had exposed his vulnerable sides as a price. He felt his own cheeks blush from the thrill.

Lyney being beneath soon pushed forward only to tickle back his ear, which he deduced was sensitive since the beginning.

It was a bit of a wave change as Aether suddenly shrilled, making them both stop from that startled sound.

The crowd definitely heard that but they couldn't tell who it was. They all turned around, even Aether blushed hard while closing his mouth.

Lyney pursed his trembling lips, the cute sound was too hilarious that he lowered his head to hide the giggles.

"Not fair!" He growled now, nudging his side till he flinched away from the playful touch. He shook his head now. "Sohorry thahat sound was... -ahahaha oh my gohohod, I gotta rehehehember thihis"

"I thought I told you guys to talk, not mess around with each other" the calm tone of Lynette made them both look up.

Aether sighed. "No wonder, you distracted Paimon, thanks for indulging her"

She smiled cordially, "sure"

Lyney sighed now wiping a tear "If we actuallt had an all out tickle war I'd straight go for the ear"

Frowned as he felt embarrassed, he huffed "Yeah well don't forget you made a similar noise to your thighs so... don't get cocky"

Chuckling at their game play, Lynette watched Paimon arrived with a large serve of meals in each palm. She tossed to the table now gasping in delight "Man this is Paimon's best day ever!"

Lyney anxiously turned to his sister "Uh, sis... might I ask who's paying for all that?"

She casually took out his wallet now, without any proper expression to tease him further, "You, of course... your the magician here"

His heart clutches now, graoning "oh fine"

Aether patted his shoulder with assurance. "Let's split the cost, I kinda owe you too"

every week I think I can't possibly be any more hyped for the next chapter and then each week, the anticipation reaches new heights again. So I can only praise not only your writing in general but also your ability to have all of us on the edge of our seats literally drooling and vibrating with eagerness. I know that it'll be worth the wait every time, so in a way, the extra week sometimes makes me even more excited cause I know it'll be a juicy one lol.

Season 2 Featured on: The SiIvaGunner YTPMV Collab (Eek!).veg

God, man. Season 2 of SiIvaGunner was so cool.

And like, I know that that's what I *always* say when I'm writing about a Season 2 rip, in everything from Patched Plains Fusion Collab to Rippin'! Mashin'! High Quality Grand Prix and the SilvaGunner: Rebooted 1st Anniversary event...but I can't help it! There was just such an energy of excitement, of pure joy permeating throughout the entire season - excitement not just for the Christmas Comeback Crisis, but for how SiIvaGunner was *actually* back, firing on all cylinders. The rips were referencing events we were already nostalgic over, althewhile introducing new jokes in clever, memorable ways - the Inspector Gadget takeover and Become as Gadget will forever stick with me as one of the most engrossing events the channel has ever done.

To put it one way...in my (nostalgia-blinded) eyes, Season 2 was the most "unified" the channel ever felt. We were all invested in every little corner of the channel's ongoings, we were all aware of the origins of and meaning of all the active jokes...that kind of investment and attachment to all the featured jokes felt sort of like if Season 4 Episode 2's Summer Fes had lasted for an entire Season! And while we've certainly got a far wider, far more ambitious output of rips in Season 5 onward in particular, it was that feeling of unification that made rips like ULTRA S+G hit like fucking crazy.

The thing you'll immediately notice when clicking on ULTRA S+G is, of course, the visuals, a full-length parody of the visuals featured in the original ULTRA B+K music video, completely reimagined to feature several of SiIva's own memes from Season 2. The visuals are, of course, in sync with the main joke of the rip, in being a huge meme medley of various sources, most replacing the original song's "bass" and "kick" vocal samples. The resulting sound hits you like several trains throughout the rip, be it the opening of "DEE-DEE-DEE-DEE-DEE ; KAY-KAY-KAY-KAY-KAY!!", the beat-dropping "Miney Crafta"s and "GRAND DAD"s, the midsection covered by the good ol' PSY samples a la One Winged PSYcho - V​.​S. Sepsyrop...and while all that is happening, you're met with visuals that go absolutely above and beyond just parodying the original. It has little references to the events of Season 1, such as the infamous Bean or the Mr. Rental storyline of Mr. Rental [B Side] ~ Out of Options...and, hey - an animation of The Voice Inside Your Head!! What ULTRA S+G conveys above all else is the extent of the journey we had all been on over the course of almost two years, a hype-beyond-belief shot directly into the arm of everything SiIvaGunner embodies.

Kirbio's output on the channel is impressive in its sheer scope, and recently of note arranged one of Season 1's greatest in the form of Return to Collision Clouds. Its likely coincidental, but I enjoy how both that arrangement as late in as Season 7, as well as ULTRA S+G, manage to convey that feeling of the long journey the channel's been on in entirely different ways: Return to Collision Clouds has a sentimental feel to it, wheras ULTRA S+G may as well be hype incarnate. An explosive beginning to the end of Season 2, its the kind of rip that I cannot stop returning to for the memories alone - helped, of course, by the rip itself being an incredible watch and listen.
