Toku anon: (recently revived by the power of epic new Cravity album)
The MV looks fantastic! The lighting! The atmospheres! The lore potential!
But also: bro is that another Secret song for the Starship Secret Playlist I see? (With Monsta X enlisted somebody else had to take up the mantle of Songs Named Secret)
So what are your thoughts on the songs? I still have to listen to the rest of the album, but I absolutely love the title track.
hello toku anon!!!
the MV is STUNNINGGG omg it's just so beautiful. the lore is loreinggggg it's all so connected and wonderful. And yeah the general vibes are perfect with it the vintage lighting and camera and the coming of age vibes theyre so wonderful. I don't absolutely Love the song itself, i find myself being picky about some production choices, but the vibes are right and it rly matches the stunning MV so it's all good!
YES ANOTHER SECRET sjfhsd cryinggg i have a collection forming:
the funny thing about secret is that its not unlike a monsta x song .. so i'm headcannoning that they wrote another song called secret for monsta x and went ... maybe we'll give it to vity SJGJS. it's a banger tho its just super fun and groovy! and then horizon..... my rubyyyyy. It's stunning AND they're going to perform it on music bank tomorrow so it'll be his first song to get on a music show! i'm so excited. I frankly think it should've been the title...but i'm super biased jsdjdf. but anyway it matches the vibes of the lore and the now or never mv super well it's perfect in this album! it's definitely my fav of the three it's beautiful he's written some gorgeous parts for each member :'(
the lore is back full swing since before rtk into this album its just all so consistent it's so nice! they have such a nice concept of the youthful coming of age running around vibes and then astronomy vibes and the marketing matches, the aesthetics match, the sound matches its just all lovely!! AND how consistent they are with the members representative colours and words and the number 9 everywhere... you can just tell a lot of creative care was put into everything! they're not half-assing anything concept wise and it's so lovelyyyy

i am So Well about your kuon/hoeru stuff thank u for the food . do u have any........ headcanons or additions to their relationship , im curious to hear . we are such a small group of freaks (positive)
ahaha sorry when you said a small group I just imagined a group gathering at tea time talking about favorite brocon fics/HCs/happenings with one another. Does such commune of freaks exist in the toku fandom T_T)? If so let me iiiiiiiin *rattling cage bars*
Anyway,
Thank you thank youuu anon for enjoying my food!! This is my first sentai rodeo so im always worried about not drawing/depicting/characterizing/whatever-ing them so you and anyone else enjoying my gozyu stuff means a lot to meeeee T_T
Now i say that but um.. So all of these are exaggerated well enough to cater to my gozyu brocon needs LMAO so if its OOC..... i bow deeply to say sowwy
Tumblr media
(thoughts, words, stuff below read more)
+ they're codependent. Back then, and even now (but Hoeru's growing out of it. Kuon isn't) idk what their home life is like to make them be like that tho so uhm *insert bullshit reason*
+ they have a skewed sense of what's normal/appropriate between brothers. Probably weren't reprimanded/corrected as kids so they just kept doing it. What's sweet as kids is kinda weird now as adults~ idk something like having no sense of personal space or boundaries.
I like this one cz i can just imagine hoeru sharing smth he did with kuon to the gozyu team and everyone's just in shock with their kind of brotherly love mmcmfmd
Very delusional scenario but if they still got along after reuniting as adults, they'd probably take baths together ❤️ Though hoeru's starting to mature so he'd probably say smth like how this is smth they shouldn't be doing but kuon coerces him to stay in the bath longer with him anyway~
Sorry really vague and no concrete examples (can't think of one for brothers-to-brothers, only for sisters-to-sisters mfmfmd) but you get my point right 🥹?
+ Kuon's feelings, worries, and thoughts abt his brother were warped to be super intense after the No One World abduction
examples:
- that thing where older siblings feel a little sad when they notice how much their younger sib is growing and starting to want to be independent -> warping to -> Kuon not wanting Hoeru to leave him AT ALL
- that familial love for your sibling -> sick kind of love and obsession for hoeru. ("Hoeru's my love, my hope, my puppet" uhm! Ok!! Whatever you say Mr. Freaky!)
- Younger siblings being your responsibility. You're their teacher, their second parent, their most available guide (eldest child in an Asian household things ❤️) -> Hoeru grew up to have beliefs that dont align with Kuon's. Kuon thinks he is misguided and wrong. He's the only one that can set him right.
+ As kids, Kuon's praises and sweet touches would be like liquid gold to hoeru. Even if they have a weird relationship now, I'm pretty sure if Kuon praised him, Hoeru would feel like putty inside. It's hard to break off from old wants 🫶
+ not an HC but do you know the whole thing the mom and daughter in EEAAO had? The daughter in the "Alpha universe" was pushed to the limit to be excellent that she became a nihilist and wants to destroy the universe. She seeks out for her mom in this one universe who is awful at everything because she has the greatest potential (the whole "you suck so much that you have nowhere to go but up" thing) and is the only one capable of foiling her universe-ending plans.
The womanfailure mom = Hoeru
The powerful nihilist daughter = Kuon
Do you see the vision? Mfmfmfmfmdmd
~~~
This got long sorry!!! I hope you got what you asked from me Anon Q_Q it's probably unoriginal lbr pretty sure some other 5head fan already said these things about the tono brothers in like, a more comprehensible way ahahzhshzhs but still thank you for reading up to this point u_u lemme know what you think! If you got some HCs share em!
hi!!!! i'm a ryuseitaiP that would like to get into tokusatsu but don't know how to start.... would you offer any advice?
Hello, sorry that I'm late but thank you for this question! I'd be excited to answer with my thoughts, since I feel a lot of Ryuseitai fans (and Wonderland x Showtime fans) would enjoy tokusatsu. I strongly believe there is a toku show for everyone, so here's my lengthy overview. This applies to anyone who wants to get into the genre but doesn't know where to start.
I'll briefly define things: tokusatsu is a broad genre, meaning special effects, and it's an umbrella term for any special effect superhero show that involves live-action. Therefore, there are different franchises of shows out there that fall under tokusatsu, which include Kamen Rider, Super Sentai (it inspired Power Rangers in America), Ultraman, Godzilla, Metal Hero, Garo, etc. For Ultraman/Godzilla, both mention kaiju, which you probably remember being mentioned in a Ryuseitai story: kaiju refers to an enormous monster, where Ultraman (who combats in a huge, similarly-sized suit) fights these kaiju. Meanwhile, Godzilla is the name of a specific kaiju. Super Sentai focuses on a colored group of rangers fighting together, Kamen Rider shows more individualistic stories of heroes as its title refers to its main character, Garo explores darker themes, etc.
Unfortunately, many of the franchises are not properly serialized outside of Japan, but translators have made these shows more available to an international audience.
One important note: if you looked up, say, Kamen Rider's Wikipedia page, you'll see 36 listed Kamen Riders. They're separated by eras (Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa, time periods based on the reigns of Japanese emperors), where Reiwa is the most recent. You do not need to watch them in order; you can start from any era you want. This applies to all franchises: each season is standalone, and you can start from any. Concepts or ideas might repeat, but you'll grasp them. The anniversary shows reference past shows (e.g., Kamen Rider Decade, Kamen Rider Zi-O), but this is an exception. Personally, I don't recommend starting on an anniversary season, but if you're fine with spoilers and want to see what multiple shows are like, then I've heard of people who started from Decade as an intro to Rider.
Newcomers tend to like watching the newer ones first, before delving into older shows. I have a preference for Heisei/Showa era Kamen Rider seasons and Reiwa era Super Sentai seasons, as those are the two franchises I watch most. Even so, newer shows tend to be more progressive, and the modern setting has brought in fresh concepts that I recommend checking out. I started with Reiwa-era shows before Showa, but you can watch whatever appeals to you first.
To answer the question of where to watch it, I recommend tok/uzilla or tok/ufun (slashing just in case). Some older series are available on the Internet Archive, or you can torrent episodes. (If anyone would like a personal guide on torrenting, you can message me. I follow people back.) For Ultraman, their shows have recently been made more readily available for an international audience -- currently, Ultraman Arc is airing for free on their channel, so I recommend checking it out!
The website collection can seem daunting, so here's a quick summary of Sentai and Kamen Rider and my personal recs. If you want to know more about Ultraman as well, message me, since this post was getting too long.
Super Sentai: Super Sentai first aired in 1975 as Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. Sentai is based on a squadron of rangers in suits who face off an antagonist, while learning how to cooperate, although they're typically very dysfunctional in the process. To summarize Gorenger, a terrorist group called the Black Cross Army serves as the enemy, and EAGLE scientists have sent five soldiers to defeat the Black Cross, giving them powers. There tend to be antagonists that are readily defined in Sentai that heroes work together to defeat, with varying levels of worldbuilding depending on the show. Early shows established common tropes in sentai: most notably, the red ranger is the leader, as Akaranger is in Gorenger, who ends up being a driving force for the others. Others include the black ranger's tendency to be an elusive character with secrets, the pink ranger being the sole girl, the red ranger often clashing with the blue ranger in ideals, the wildcard sixth ranger in a five-ranger team, and other common patterns. However, these tropes experience more subversion over time as newer shows come out, including switching up what colors the rangers are assigned, having more female rangers on the team, changes in how the suits look and making them appear more unique, and exploring subject matters that are historically/politically relevant at the time they were released (which applies to all shows here, not just sentai). Sentai transformation sequences often use a device to transform, which has gotten more creative, and there are combined mechas of the rangers fighting together.
Sentai recommendations
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger (2023) -> A personal favorite of mine, noted for its inclusion of a gender non-conforming character, Rita (the purple ranger). The viewer is plunged into a fantasy setting of clashing kingdoms and the tyranny of the king of Shugoddam. The main character, Gira (our red ranger), is a boisterous young man who has a large heart and always helps the other kids at the orphanage. He takes up the mantle in challenging the current king due to wanting better for Shugoddam, and inadvertently ends up on a team with the other kings of the other kingdoms after using the Royal Arms. While the rangers don't get along initially, subject to egocentrism surrounding their kingdoms, they come together to fight evil. The characterization and worldbuilding in this show are strong.
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers (2022) -> This show takes place in a modern setting, following the life of 17-year-old mangaka Haruka Kitou after she is accused of plagiarism and is forced to transform into the yellow ranger. She is thrust into a world of fighting off Hitotsuki, monsters who are born from strong human desires that end up overtaking these humans if they become too strong (kind of like Miraculous Ladybug. Sorry.) This group of rangers don't get along, and Haruka takes a while to even find out who the red ranger, a mailman named Tarou Momoi, even is. The family themes and humorous concepts make this a fun show to watch.
Ressha Sentai ToQger (2014) -> Its strong focus on the rangers all being childhood friends makes it stand out, with the team attempting to recover their lost memories together after they were stolen by the "Shadow Line," a railway that seeks to consume all of the light in the world. The show emphasizes the importance of Imagination, which is needed in order to see the Rainbow Line, which first recruits the five ToQgers. It has a simpler yet unified theme, centered on the uncovering of their past bonds.
Kamen Rider: The original Kamen Rider aired in 1971, telling the story of Takeshi Hongo, a young man who was experimented on by Shocker and was partially transformed into a grasshopper. He ends up using his superhuman powers for good in order to defeat Shocker. While sentai literally means fighting squadron, kamen rider is otherwise known as masked rider, referencing the fact that the original Kamen Rider was a lone hero who rode around on a motorcycle to defeat evil, all while being a supposed "part monster" themself who might even be feared by others. Note that this series does not accentuate a team like Super Sentai does, and a lot of the older Kamen Rider seasons only had one single masked rider who was focused on, while it is more common for there to be established primary, secondary, tertiary, etc. riders in newer shows. While both sentai and rider have transformations, rider has more individual rider forms (where there are often "upgraded" and "final" forms as the heroes become more powerful throughout the show). The transformation occurs with a belt, where the hero also says henshin (transform). Shows with multiple Kamen Riders are more likely to clash, where Kamen Rider Ryuki is probably the greatest epitome of this concept. Overall, Rider is more individual-based than Sentai. This isn't to say one is necessarily more "deep" than the other, and sentai also often features characters not getting along, but they just have different structures.
Kamen Rider Recommendations
Kamen Rider W (2009) -> A Kamen Rider with the unique theme of having two characters, Shotaro and Philip, transform together to become Kamen Rider W. Shotaro is a detective who is working with Philip to investigate strange crimes that have been occurring as of late in Fuuto. It has a heavy mystery and story-based element, and is a well-balanced show to start with.
Kamen Rider OOO (2010) -> I unfortunately don't know a lot about this show versus the others, but friends have said good things about it, and it serves well as a starter. It is focused on themes of greed, where the main antagonists are literally referred to as "Greeed." It centers on Eiji, who is consistently traveling to escape past tragedy, and he is first given a belt by Ankh, a Greeed himself, to transform into a Kamen Rider. A lot of the story and intentions of the characters unfold over time, and the dynamics are very well-written.
Kamen Rider Revice (2021) -> A very family-based Rider that centers around the Igarashi family, where all three of the Igarashi siblings each become Riders while the family overcomes their personal turmoil together in the process. It is centered around the concept of "inner demons" and overcoming them, except in the literal sense where the main character, Ikki Igarashi, literally has a contract with his inner demon in order to fight evil. The "Revice Driver" is a device that resembles the original Rider belt that is used to oppose Deadmans. This also occurs in a more modern setting.
Shin Kamen Rider -> This is not actually a seasonal Kamen Rider, but a movie. It's a modernized take on the story of the original Kamen Rider from 1971. While these movies were created to commemorate the show, Shin Kamen Rider serves as a good introduction to the series. I feel like it's best to go blind, so I won't say too much, but the special effects are genuinely amazing here, and it delves into darker territory while showing the raw emotions of the characters.
Kamen Rider Build and Ryuki are also some of my top favorites. I didn't include them in the bigger list, but feel free to check them out too (I like too many riders). I mostly didn't include Build because it's very plot-heavy to the point that I somewhat like it better as a second Rider to watch than a first, but I still highly recommend it because its storywriting is genuinely amazing, with themes surrounding the use of science for good vs. evil and even commentary on war. While I haven't finished Ryuki, I also recommend it for its concept of Kamen Riders battling one another, the mystery elements, and the character dynamics, especially between Shinji, Ren, and Yui.
Don't feel limited by my suggestions: I recommend looking at the Wikipedia pages of the franchises, reading the summaries for different seasons, and picking which one you'd like to check out. Browse the websites and try multiple things! I hope this was able to help with starting out.
what does the land of light look like?
So it's been probably depicted differently in Showa era Ultraman (which I haven't watched) but I did watch Ultraman Zero's (and Belial's!) debut movie (Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy The Movie) and they show it. The wiki has pictures so I'm grabbing them from there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, as you can see, it's a glowing green planet. And everything's made of green glowing/reflective crystal. All the buildings, everything. The land masses seem to be floating on the sky, which is an interesting choice? But it's not at all what I was thinking before watching this movie.
It's stated that the Land of Light used to look like / was similar to Earth but now it isn't. It actually made me a bit sad there was (at least not featured) any other life form but them, no fauna or flora.
im pretty sure i followed u for proseka ages ago but everytime u post/rb kamen rider stuff i get more and more intrigued.. do u have recs for which installment i should start w if i wanna get into the franchise??
!!1 Oh boy do I always :)
If you want to stick with the Legal route to watch things, your options are the original 1971 series, Kuuga, Ryuki, Zero-One or Geats. All are free to watch on Tubi at no cost and are subbed in English (and if Tubi doesn't work for you then Tokushoutsu, the company that subbed them with the rights to distribution, has their own site to watch as well.)
Out of those options specifically, I would recommend Ryuki. That was my first rider and it holds up as one of the best of the whole franchise to this day, and is a very good entry to show you the genre norms of both Kamen Rider as a series and tokusatsu as a genre. After that I'd say find which of those listed series piques your interest most and go from there. Every series is self contained outside of the seasonal crossover movies (which are always optional) so you can pick whichever you want to watch and you'll be fine :)
Now if you're willing to go the fansub way of watching things, I can recommend other series. (And if you are willing, feel free to dm me and I can pass some links your way, I won't post them publicly so that they don't get taken down.)
Of the series that don't have official English releases but have fansubs, I will ALWAYS recomend OOO. It's a great intro series, it's written by the same writer as Ryuki with amazing lead characters and a well written plot from beginning to end, and ska music for its soundtrack! Seriously if nothing else will convince you to watch OOO please listen to Shu Watanabe (who plays the lead character of Eiji) singing his characters main theme song, it's wonderful :D
Other series outside of those two that I'd recomend based off of personal watching and off of my friends who have seen them are Kabuto, Blade, Wizard and Fourze. But again, if you see any series plot summary that looks like itd be something you'd enjoy, then feel free to try it out. That's the beauty of the franchise tbh you can pick and chose what suits your taste best :)
Toku anon (currently trying to find the new logo): is it the one where they write "Cravity" in the fancy font? I liked the first one though :( the space vibes :( also the first one felt like better logo design
Anyway, I can see why there's concern over how to react. There's probably that worry that Starship thought Serim didn't do enough. But at the same time, fans wouldn't want to express disappointment in a way that throws the new leaders under the bus. Hopefully Serim makes a statement soon to reassure everyone that he's alright with the change.
I also hope they don't stray too far from the original colourful theming, but that's just me, and that's a whole other tangent.
Yes the fancy font! And there's a smaller C that replaces the C with the shooting star (which is genuinely stupid coz luvity also have a logo that matches that one) but yeah :(( and the fact it was introduced to us in a vid that used ai ... it's just all wrong 😭
Yeah it's a tricky situation without any word from the members. Like it would all chill out if serim just made a personal statement now but instead it's pandemonium .... idk why sse would think it's smarter for them to announce it in a post rather than the boys explaining but nvm. Hopefully we still get that.
I mean I hope they don't lose anything 😭 but yeah .. I rly hope they don't try remove every bit of the previous brand like that feels like they're removing me
some more update on their defense of the Vcine
[It’s not a departure from what was established in the show.
Michinaga wasn’t able to convince Keiwa to abandon the dark road he set out on because he felt guilty for setting him down that path in the first place. That no longer applies in this case, especially now that Michinaga is in lock-step with Ace’s ideals. Michinaga using words to calm the kid down shows this growth as a character, not some sort of retcon because they never said “oh Michinaga has always been great with words, he’s got this”.
Dooms Geats being a departure from the Ace we know was already explained in the movie. In the 1000 years that lie between Dooms Geats’ time and the events of the show, Ace lost his faith in humanity after observing them for that period of time. His friends died out so long ago that and nothing really changed. That’s why he has the white hair and blue eyes. He’s become a dispassionate arbiter of human lives. That’s not a retcon because we had never seen Dooms Geats up until this point and our present-day Ace remains the same as always.
The only “retcon” you claim that I can somewhat agree with is the Michinaga being part-Jyamato bit. But even that’s super minor because they can always say that continuous use of the Jyamato buckle results in a permanent physiological change that can’t be reset, only suppressed. Beroba even mentions in the movie that that part of him is never going away. It’s not that big of a deal.]
and the guy who kept on insisting that the vcine was a huge retcon overall is being downvoted to hell lol.
This will be a LONG RANT. Kinda a pity i cant direct this rant at them.
because he felt guilty for setting him down that path in the first place.
And I thought said 'guilt' would be a strong motivation for Bitchy to try THEIR BEST to convince Keiwa to leave the dark side. I dunno blaming Keiwa for ruining the world was Bitchy trying 'hard' to convince Keiwa to leave Jitt and Kekera? I dunno him justifying killing Sara and the other parasite victim as inevitable since they can no longer be saved was bitchy's way of expressing his remorse? I din knoe blandly saying you killed someone's sister was 'great' way to show that one was feeling guilty? Not until being almost killed by Kekera did Bitch ever admit that he was wrong/commited a grave mistake AND SAID SORRY. But apparently that was how some1 supposed to show that they're 'repenting'. Don't tell me Mich's had been reflecting on his wrong doing all these times while still acting an arrogant jerk who did no sin. Cos he sure dont look like it. Like until he accidentally 'killed' Sara and saw how devastated Keiwa was afterwards, that guy didn't seem bothered about the other kills he had committed. Before or after. Did that guy ever think about Sara when he dropped Keiwa to their death during H&H stage? Don't think so.
MichCow couldn't convince Keiwa to escape the dark side because he felt guilty abt Keiwa? You gotta be kidding me. If he was really feeling guilty, he'll do EVERYTHING he could to get Keiwa back... instead of giving up.
What a ridiculous joke. (i so need a Spanner react gifs) 😧
Ace lost his faith in humanity after observing them for that period of time.
He’s become a dispassionate arbiter of human lives.
That's just lazy writing. Like are they really saying there won't be any other humans having the same heart as Keiwa Neon Win Hotaro Rinne Spanner etc being born/designed throughout the span of those 1000 years? For the dude who insist on 'Hate the sin and not the sinner' it felt like a regression of Ace character to turn White Ace as evil. Why don't we get a goth Black Ace instead? As in white Ace starting to rot away and leaving the darkness... creating black Ace? Then THAT Ace could go evil for all I care. Or have Suel corrupt Ace from the inside. That made more sense than the whole 'become dispassionate' stuff.
Beroba even mentions in the movie that that part of him is never going away. It’s not that big of a deal.
But it DID go away post-JGP, right?
It's no big deal they said, it's minor. Yet post jyamashin onwards Mich DID act like the part of him that turn Jyamato had completely go away; not the way Daichi's Jyamato healing ability and Jyamato powers remained intact post Keiwa's wish despite losing all the other 'perks' he got from eating the fruit frm his Tree of Knowledge, but more to how Neon's and Kanato and Mario's Jyama-zombification went away post game completion. Also the very fact that this was only mentioned in this v-cine already screams retcon. Like the writing suddenly wanted to make the half jyamato thing relevent again despite forgetting about it for almost the entirety of the Yearning and Creation arc.
they can always say that continuous use of the Jyamato buckle results in a permanent physiological change that can’t be reset, only suppressed.
Thing is.... DOES Mich even use Jyama buckle THAT much to cause perma change? Was Jyama buckle on the same level of Boost Mk II in that sense? There wasn't any mention of that.
'It isn't a big deal' but isn't Jyamato Awaking about Hazuki, Haruki and to an extent Daichi and fam and the cow trying to find their place in the world despite their Jyamato side? So shouldn't the plot about Mich actually still retain his Jyama bit be treated better instead of only mentioning it when its convenient?
Like it'd made more sense if it was established that the true source of Jyamashin's power was due to the Jyama cells and not just the Goddess's powers. Also the whole Jyamashin not effective against Jyama armour n Premiums should've be explained better. Like why is it like that?
And one would've think after being turned into half Jyamato undead the guy could show some empathy/hesitance before taking down the parasite Jyamato (Like how Keiwa hesitated abt attacking Rook, even more since these are actual ppl being turn to Jyamato instead of copying the appearance of their 'fertilizers') but nah... he treat em the same with any other Jyamato. Mich still treat things black and white with the same unfeeling attitude. Heck I'd even buy the reasoning that he refused returning to society post JGP was just him self aware then he's no longer full-human and dont fit in. And not cos he's supposed to be dead. cos then the lead up to JyamaAwaking din feel cheap. But the show not doing that, did they?
Like ppl find it hard to believe how the show treat Neon's mom's change of attitude (which is actually not that much diff either) yet when that happened to Michi suddenly the drastic transition from ass to not!ass was 'believable'. For eg. Mich never really properly show how he changed from wanting ALL Kamen Riders to die/want to crush all KR (cos anyone who accepted the drivers to get the wish are inherently selfish and don't deserve to get their wishes granted) to 'I want to save them from their greed/want to protect other people's happiness. Esp when the guy spent a good part of the earlier arcs acting like it's fine if players get killed in-game by the Jyamato... showing that he DON'T care if other people die as long as he wins and gets the power to crush all KR (in which even THAT wish can also go either direction as much as Keiwa's wish to revive DGP victims can either go bad or good). And even when told that even civillians could be sacrificed despite them not chosing to get involved with the DGP, he still DID NOT CARE as long as he can win his game. Heck, Ace could've gone to help Keiwa reach Sara during the Saboten second run but Mich care more about stealing Ninja away so he can be hero instead. (and cos of that Sara was taken) Is THAT the action of a guy who cared about protecting other people happiness from the start?
So they really believe Mich was so caring about other people's innocent lives (aside frm taking revenge for Tohru) from the very beginning? Since when did Mich cared about other ppl's happiness early on?
It's also jarring to see cow go from thinking that killing Ace was what gonna solve all the problems to 'I believe in Ace' stance. Like since WHEN did he believed that? If he really believed in Ace, Mich should also had faith in Ace who still believed in Keiwa and TRUST that there still good in Keiwa enough that he seriously want to SAVE K-chan. If he really believed in Ace, he wouldn't complain abt why Neon got her core id back despite how he already destroyed it (like some sore loser feeling bitter that Ace didn't only care about him but also care a lot about Keiwa, Neon, Win, Daichi, etc)
Daichi's redemption was at least done slightly better than 'sweep under the rug' bullshit redemption. (As in Daichi taking responsibility in taking care of the Jyamato he helped cultivate post series.) And tat's even without us knowing why Daichi obsess about having all knowledge aside frm being a trivia king.
Lel i rant so much to the point i dunno if I make sense anymore.
Michi acting like he had tons of empathy now and can unabashedly go huggy wuggy felt OOC just like it was weird seeing Kusaka being actual nice to innocent Orphnoch kids.
You know that moment when Arata breaks down crying in High&Low the Worst? I imagine Racles would be like that too if he lets his emotions loose more, he already cracked in the newest episode so there's still a possibility.
AH THANK YOU ANON FINALLY SOMEONE BRINGING UP ABOUT ARATA AND RACLES
but racles being desperate on ep 48 already reminds me of arata's break down after fighting with fujio, both racles and arata are hopeless and trying to do their best alone ;-;
i don't think racles will breaks down more after ep 48, but who knows what will happen tomorrow
hltw and kingoh got different theme and story, but in some other way, arata and fujio's relationship is quite a parallels to racles-gira, both fujio and gira trying to reach their 'big brother', they want to bring them back to the right path ;-;
If Kroos and Mr. Nothing spotted you from across the room and liked your vibes, would you?
Okay, hypothetical.
Let's say that I, drunk with wanderlust, went exploring the Yanese mountainside. In my trip, I end up finding a house in the middle of my wilderness wandering, and looking to perhaps have a roof over my head this wintry eve, I knock on it, only to get launched headfirst into a mysterious town that gets attacked by ink-like monsters every night, only to return to normal every morning, as if nothing had happened.
Now, let's say I refuse to learn a damn thing from my experiences, because famously, I don't know a fucking thing, and thus engage in sundry timeloop shenanigans. It can be assumed I'll spend quite a while there.
After what feels like a couple of years in which I've come be known as the town freak, but only to the individuals that can actually remember or discern what's going on (a very intrigued Saga, a very confused Dawn, and a very irritated Dusk), I see two new faces and I assume, oh! There's still more to learn about this place! Cool! So I rain check that day's activity (construct large hadron collider from teaware and Bitey organs) in order to acquaint myself with these new faces.
THAT's when Kroos and Mr. Everything use their Scouter to check my vibes, and they find them of a most agreeable disposition and panache. The eyebrow rises, the lips smack, and the invitation is loose like the Nue-slaying arrow.
Quoth the anon, "would you?"
Well, see, Kroos is Kroos, she's pretty much a flawless creature so of course I'm fine there. About Mr. Nothing, well, I'm straight, but also, he looks like that, and it's not gay if it gets retconned, I rationalize, so let's have an unforgettable night that never will have been, come morning. I already did the teahouse story teller and most every farmer, coolie, and shopkeeper, might as well.
Then I wake up and I realize I've been made a member of the Midnight Crew, where's the RETCON. The story teller doesn't look at me in the eye. The bedsheets are less like sheets and more like paleolithic era cave art. Nothing's kung fu cumshot made a hole in the wall and killed a stray Bitey. Kroos pulled out toys in shapes and colors we have no names for but with functions and features I am now intimately acquainted with. The memory of being the patty in a bunny and bird sandwich is seared into my mind's retina. Restraint and protection were helpful suggestions kindly ignored. A pop-up in the corner of my vision reads "Several cutscenes will play in sequence". I have a LOT of unusued skill points and I have no idea where they came from. What was formerly a rustic Yan-style bedroom now looks like the toku quarry.
And that's when I realize: Right.
An executive decision has been taken and I'm about to have lore.
So, "would you?"
Would. But watch out.
