Upgrade to IBM MAS - Migration from EAM to IBM MAS 
Upgrading to IBM MAS is crucial as Maximo Version 7.6 nears its "End of Service" in September 2025.

Dr. Marjorie Lee Browne (September 19, 1914 - October 19, 1979) was a prominent mathematician and educator who, in 1949, became only the third African American woman to earn a doctorate in her field. She was born in Memphis to Mary Taylor Lee and Lawrence Johnson Lee. She won the Memphis City Women’s Tennis Singles Championship and two years later graduated from LeMoyne High School.
She received her BA in Mathematics from Howard University, graduating Cum Laude. She taught for a while at Gilbert Academy in New Orleans. She graduated from the University of Michigan where she received her MA. She taught full-time during the school year at Wiley College while attending the University of Michigan during her summer breaks. She completed her dissertation and received her Ph.D.
She joined the faculty at North Carolina College. She worked as a principal investigator, coordinator of the mathematics section, and lecturer for the Summer Institute for Secondary School Science and Mathematics Teachers.
She taught both undergraduate and graduate courses, wrote proposals for equipment, and obtained grants for scholarships from Shell, IBM, and other major corporations. The Ford Foundation awarded her a fellowship to study combination topology at Cambridge University. She was a National Science Foundation Faculty Fellow studying numerical analysis at UCLA. She received a $60,000 grant from IBM to set up an electronic digital computer center at North Carolina College.
She was the first recipient of the W.W. Rankin Memorial Award for Excellence in Mathematics Education. She used her money to provide financial aid to many gifted young people so they could pursue their educations. She established summer institutes to provide continuing education in mathematics for high school teachers.
She was a member of the Women’s Research Society, the American Mathematical Society, and the Mathematical Association of America. Seu nome vem do Rei Viking Harald "Bluetooth" Gormsson, famoso por unificar a Dinamarca e a Noruega no século X.
A ideia do Bluetooth nasceu na década de 1990, quando a empresa sueca de telecomunicações Ericsson procurava uma maneira de conectar dispositivos sem necessidade de cabos. Em 1994, o engenheiro Jaap Haartsen desenvolveu a especificação básica para a tecnologia, que permitiria a transmissão de dados a curta distância utilizando ondas de rádio.
Em 1998, Ericsson, juntamente com IBM, Intel, Nokia e Toshiba, formaram o Grupo de Interesse Especial Bluetooth (SIG) para desenvolver e promover a tecnologia. Em 1999, foi lançada a primeira versão oficial do Bluetooth.
As letras "H" e "B" de Harald Bluetooth são representadas pelas runas Hagall ( ᚼ) e Bjarkan ( ᛒ). Combinando-as, criou o icônico símbolo Bluetooth que vemos hoje. Esta união de runas não só homenageia o rei viking, mas também simboliza a missão da tecnologia Bluetooth de conectar e unificar dispositivos de diferentes tipos e marcas.

TJ2 - "The Little Robot That Might" (1994) by Jonathan Connell, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, and Mark C. Torrance, MIT AI Lab, Cambridge, MA. TJ is a Motorola HC6811 based robot built by Jon Connell, on loan to the MIT AI Lab for Mark Torrance’s research on Natural Communication with Robots. TJ makes it simpler for people to communicate with mobile robots using natural language. It can be taught the names and locations of places in simple typewritten English, and then answer questions and navigate to them in real time. Robots have a radically different way of perceiving the world because of their impoverished sensory capabilities and TJ aims to bridge that gap.

William Henry Gates III, es un empresario, informático y filántropo estadounidense, nacido en Seattle, Washington en octubre de 1955.
Conocido mundialmente por haber formado junto con Paul Allen la empresa Microsoft.
Su padre era un destacado abogado y su madre profesora en la universidad de Washington y directora de un banco.
Estudió hasta el sexto grado en una escuela pública y posteriormente en una escuela privada de elite en Seattle. Es en esta escuela, en donde Bill conoció a Paul Allen quien más tarde seria su socio.
El 4 de abril de 1975, siendo aun un estudiante en la Universidad de Harvard, crea la empresa de software Microsoft. En ese mismo año, abandonó la escuela y se trasladó a la sede de MITS, una compañía americana de electronica, para pactar con esa empresa la cesión del 50% del lenguaje de computadora BASIC, quien después del tiempo serviría de base para el desarrollo de un lenguaje de programación dirigido a eventos denominado Visual Basic, del cual Microsoft utilizaría para simplificar el ambiente de desarrollo de aplicaciones desde 1998 hasta 2008.
Bill Gates presionando a quien seria luego su competidor Apple, logró tener acceso a la compañía para mejorar sus hojas de cálculo y otros programas. 
Consciente de la importancia del entorno gráfico que había mostrado Apple, de quien la interfaz gráfica y el uso del “ratón” fueron desarrollados en su sistema operativo Lisa, Gates, logró obtener legalmente el entorno gráfico y del ratón e incorporarlo directamente a su software Windows, volviéndose competidor directo de Macintosh años más tarde.
En 1980, ya como presidente de Microsoft, se reunió con altos ejecutivos de IBM y consiguió venderles su sistema operativo DOS, dejando para la propia compañía Microsoft, los derechos de la licencia y el mantenimiento, así como con la facultad de vender el mismo sistema operativo a otras compañías, volviéndose el software mas utilizado en todos los ordenadores personales del mundo y volviendo a Gates uno de los hombrea mas ricos del planeta.
En junio de 2008, Gates, abandona sus labores al frente de Microsoft, dedicado su tiempo a la Fundación Bill y Melinda Gates.
En mayo de 2021, anunció el fin de su matrimonio con Melinda Gates, después de 27 años de matrimonio.
Desde 2007 Bill Gates ocupaba el segundo lugar en la lista anual de las mayores fortunas personales realizada por la revista Forbes, detrás del empresario mexicano Carlos Slim.

O livro é bem interessante mas, às vezes, a verborragia do personagem principal, tocado por drogas, medicamentos e álcool cansa um pouco. Sua fixação com a escrita, seus problemas com a família judia, sua incapacidade de se ligar emocionalmente por muito tempo às mulheres “de sua vida”, o processo de transformação da vida em ficção são os temas que fazem fundo a essa vida atormentada. Como diz a capa são 3 romances e um epílogo – o personagem é o mesmo, mas as situações vão mudando bastante.
Interessante a descrição dele da “via crucis” para descobrir como curar dores que o atormentavam, descrição essa que acho que muita gente vai se identificar...
“Desde que as dores haviam começado para valer, dezoito meses antes, ele esperara a vez de ser atendido no consultório de três ortopedistas, dois neurologistas, um fisioterapeuta, um reumatologista, um radiologista, um osteopata, um vitaminoterapeuta, um acupunturista e agora o analista. O acupunturista espetara nele doze agulhas em quinze ocasiões diferentes, cento e oitenta agulhas no total, sem que nenhuma delas tivesse algum efeito... O vitaminoterapeuta aplicou-lhe uma série de cinco injeções de vitamina B12. O osteopata suspendeu sua caixa torácica com um safanão, quase arrancou fora seus braços e fez seu pescoço estalar violentamente para um lado e para outro. O fisioterapeuta o tratou com bolsas de água quente, ultrassom e massagem. Um ortopedista optou por injeções locais de anestésicos e disse para ele jogar fora a Olivetti e comprar a IBM; o seguinte, tendo informado a Zuckerman que também era escritor, ainda que não de “best sellers”, examinou-o deitado, em pé e curvado e, depois que Zuckerman havia se vestido mandou-o embora do consultório, anunciando a recepcionista que não queria mais perder tempo com hipocondríacos naquela semana. O terceito ortopedista receitou um banho quente de vinte minutos todas as manhãs, seguidos de uma série de exercícios de alongamento....O primeiro neurologista que viu as radiografias disse que queria ter uma coluna em tão boas condições quanto a dele; o segundo recomendou hospitalização: duas semana de tração para aliviar a pressão num disco cervical – se não a pior experiência de Zuckerman na vida, de longe a mais humilhante.
Foi a profunda depressão suscitada pelos oito dias de tração cervical – e pela ideia de deixar como está para ver como é que fica – que o fez correr para o psicanalista. “
“Porém ele não era um homem doente – estava combatendo a imagem de si mesmo como doente. Todos os pensamentos e emoções capturados pelo egoísmo da dor, a dor dando voltas e mais voltas em torno de si mesma, diminuindo menos o isolamento – primeiro é a dor que esvaia o mundo, depois é o esforço que a ente faz para derrota-la. Nós fizemos o deserto florescer, e vender laranjas, flores e vegetais em todo o mundo.
Israel enviou seus próprios satélites para o espaço! Três satélites ao mesmo tempo!
Estamos orgulhosos de estar no mesmo ranking que:
· Estados Unidos, que tem 250 milhões de habitantes,
· A Rússia, que tem 200 milhões de habitantes

Used Infra as a code to upgrade Maximo from 7.6.0.9 to 7.6.1.2.
IaC allowed instance spin-up for auto scaling. This automation reduces the time to spin up and execute the new environment and addresses multi-AWS availability zone deployment latency.
Used AWS DMS for data migration and schema conversion.
IaC spun the DR environment on demand to reduce database replication (DR) infrastructure and expense. DR capabilities update data in availability zone and DR area.
Achieved data exchange across applications using IBM Cloud Pak for Data and standardized integration using IBM Cloud Pak for Integration components.
Solution components
Maximum Enterprise Application Management (EAM) has a 3-tier design with these components:
HTTP/Web Tier and Application Tier using IBM WebSphere and HIS installed EC2 instance under private subnet for application security.
Database Tier uses AWS Oracle RDS with replication for DR under private subnet.
AWS best practices were used to configure VPC with public and private subnets.
Application servers and deployment manager were autoscaled by Auto Scaling Group. 
Maximum web-based UI resolution for external access using AWS Route 53.
WAF was the initial line of defense against web exploits.
Integration of Terraform and CFT IaC scripts provided autoscaling architecture.
