one of my favourite things to contemplate about the sashanne dynamic development/change is the fact that their roles are flipped upside down pre-amphibia to wartwood resistance arc.

pre-amphibia and s1 anne is such a fucking loser. she is literally so insecure and just takes whatever she gets, never hoping for more, she allows sasha to walk over her, humiliate her and boss her around. she is lowkey floating thru life and hoping it will all work out in the end eventually without putting in any effort for it ever to do so. she relies on sasha to protect her and stand up for herself. she's a ball of nerves and can never say no to something she doesnt feel comfortable doing and buries everything into the back of her subconscious because she doesnt want to provoke any unnecessary fights

pre-amphibia, s1-s2 sasha, on the other hand, is opinionated and cocky. shes the "idgaf" typa girl who gets what she wants even if she has to cut her own arm off to prove a point. she's bold and smug and always crosses other people's boundaries because she just automatically assumes they'll be okay with it and suck it up for her sake. she's controlling and if something doesnt go her way for just a few hours, she'll throw a hissy fit until the other party gives in and cracks under the pressure of her manipulations. she knows she's better than you and she won't be afraid to show it. yeah maybe she's overcompensating for something, maybe she's just trying to conceal her fears but when it really comes down to it? externally, she's a fucking wild force to be dealing with and rest assured, if you cross her you are dead. she has anger issues so severe its a wonder how she hasnt set herself on fire at some point

and then, suddenly, it's the other way around. s3b sasha is awkward, fidgety, fussy, she's afraid of her own shadow in the sense that she feels immense amount of guilt and doesnt want to fall back into her old habits again. shes trying her best to please anne as much as she can and she tiptoes around everything so hard you can't help but feel bad for her.

sure, she still has a mild form of anger issues, and to be fair, she was sorta pushy in commander anne trying to do "damage control" if you look at it from a different perspective, but. she's kinda a mess. especially in turning point. she literally ugly sobs reading anne's journal and realizing just how much her past actions have hurt her. she goes to sleep in the barn on bare chunks of hay because she just feels so horrible about herself.

anne is the opposite. she feels more comfortable about herself, she has goals, she knows that her families (both adoptive and biological) got her back and she finally learns to own up to her mistakes and accept responsibility. she's scared, she doesnt know what's going to happen tomorrow or even today, but most importantly is that she likes who she sees in the mirror now. she can always fall back on herself because she feels confident enough to do so and she wont take no shit.

so its a veeeery hilarious dichotomy to see them interact during the resistance era. now anne is the one who has to give a little nudge to sasha to move them forward together. she's the one who has to convince sash to take the helm once again and she isnt afraid to speak up her mind if she doesnt agree with her at the moment.

sasha's lenient, tries to hide how she feels all in favour of making anne more "comfortable" and hangs onto her every word. she's unsure and she so desperately wants to show that she's changed, she ends up tripping on her own feet.

i wonder how anne felt about this new side of sasha. her friend was kinda her idol, the cool strong one her whole life, the kid that protected her & marcy at the swings quite literally first time they met and she was her "follower", slinking in her shadows and quietly supporting whatever sasha wants to do next even at her own expense. and then anne has to be the one to take the reins because clearly sasha isn't in the right headspace now to do so.

same with sasha. she was used to the fact that anne agreed with whatever she said, but you see that anne is ready to take her down a peg if she ever deems it necessary to do so. she's generally just outspoken and expressive. she has sudden anger outbursts because she just feels so worried for others. maybe anne doesnt need her anymore like she used to, maybe she can protect herself now, including but not limited to from sasha herself

idk guys. its neat. it really is. and i wish there was more sashanne introspective resistance arc fanfic expanding on that idea cuz when they finally reunite both of them are completely different people, so even though they may have used to be friends in the past and shared history and know all the deets about the other, they dont know this new person. at all. not in the slightest. having to settle in with this vastly dissimilar relationship they got going on in comparison to the previous, all in the middle of a fucking war. it's like stopping talking to one of your childhood best friends in elementary and randomly renewing your friendship in college. you two have grown and evolved so much that really, all you know is their name.

it's both an exhilirating and a melancholic experience at once.

That entire thing really did not land for me and took me extremely out of the episode ngl. The way it is framed and later on referenced on warwick's delusion flashbacks (IN MY OPINION) seemed to suggest that their mom was embroiled in an unrequited love triangle with these two and i could feel my brain leaking out of my ears because, to get back to a previously mentioned problem; it makes the world feel really, really limited. Like there's 10 real people surrounded by a population of NPCs. The idea of silco/vander as singlehandedly responsible for a 'revolution' that has no lineage beyond themselves is already laughable but?? they frame it as if vander could legit have been vi's dad?? he picks the name?? and that he is maybe seething in rage at silco because he was the reason she died??? huh? whuh? what in all of the wattpad fanfiction. not to mention... it makes silco constant attempts to kill vi in s1 seem contradictory and nonsensical. His motivations???????????

In some ways.. it is still resource exploitation now but Worse and in a time-ticking bomb sort of way that absolutely breaks the idea of Piltover using hextech for decades at a time. Im curious to see if that will be referenced in game content now bc it legitimately has shattered the timeline. I think its once again unnecessary and sacrifices a lot of good stuff for mid hand-wringing. But yeah. P/Z as presented in arcane has had so much personality sapped out of it. a whole roster of characters who might get completely rebooted for no good reason.

TBH i wouldn't really worry about this because i think if anyone is getting a new sex scene its going to be cait/vi makeup or hatesex. Sky is a plot convenience; her existence for the show's entire runtime is an accessory that they couldn't even bother fleshing out. The definition of the not-gays.

My reasoning is that if they were going to do any of that we would have already seen her do these things, more things, in the scenes she already appears in; but as always she is a static 3D model lounging in the background. (Related: this might be because she is Literally Not Real and the hexcore is just making up a faint mimicry who can only say 1 word.) Their time budget is really messy this season and i just don't see them wasting More time like that. They don't care for sky. never did! She's just a way to avoid letting viktor be an ideologue glorious evolutionist.

We already know internally some of the animators & art team like jayvik & there's even a few for-fun outside of the company interviews w/ crew expressing a preference to jv on a personal level ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the more the script tries to push it as nonromantic the more coded these scenes get. In terms of actual interaction i think a lot is going to depend on whatever the hell happens in episode 6 because their screentime is REALLY low and im unsure act3 can pull off another timeskip. So much left dangling.

IDGAF about meljay and i've never cared about meljay i think it is the culpirit of not-gays #1 so its hilarious how that shit literally didn't matter. The entire noxus storyline is a can of worms i would have thrown in the garbage and have no interest in. Still, in realistic terms, there is a 50/50 chance this season ends with jayce married 2 kids 1 dog 1/2 parrot moving out to noxus and saying 'heh, i never liked piltover anyway' and they'll play it like we're supposed to clap because nothing matters

if i was in charge we'd get full frontal jayvik stigmata scissoring write that down. I still hope if we can manifest 1 thing it is a good fight scene with some choking on it

Let's talk about Netflix's Devil May Cry, and Why it was hot garbage.

Devil may cry Netflix is a 6/10 at best and I'm being super fucking generous

NOTE: Before anyone says :" devil may cry doesn't have enough material" I'd like to kindly tell you to stfu because you obviously know nothing about DMC, we have short novels, and two mangas, but some egotistical fuck decided to make his own for zero reason other than his ego, the first novel would have made an amazing introduction to Dante. visions of V would have been a wonderful choice, it had backstory, it had a unique character, it had emotions, and cool fights.

Now before I get into my points I'm just gonna say that the dialogue was generally awful, some one liners were nice, but they made me feel like they think we're stupid, and it really pissed me off how trashy it was.

Now the animation was ok the fight scenes were nice, I hate the cgi very much tho, I do not understand why they insist on it, it looks like rubbish

Episode 6 was nice, I liked how they portrayed lady's backstory, I liked the silence, but I did not like the shift in art style

while the art was good, bunny's side had me forgetting that I am watching devil may cry! not to mention that the story itself is ehh but ill get to that

if you have read the devil may cry manga you will know (spoilers you can skip to next point) that the bunny is connected to Arkham himself, with the 2 backstories playing back to back I thought we were gonna reach the point where that is explained but instead they made something entirely new, adn the way they connected it to lady was by making her the bunny's nemesis

Which brings me to my next point

WHY IS LADY THE MAIN CHARACTER OH MY GOD

the story was always about Dante and his brother, no matter how u look at it, its about these two siblings, Now lady while not being an mc she was always so fuckign cool and badass, her character was amazing from the get-go, you did not have to make her the mc, and make her the "girlboss" SHE WAS ALWAYS A GIRLBOSS but on her own terms, not working for the fukcing military, she was driven by her emotions, she is human, a very cool one, but human nonetheless, they had to make her oh so nonchalant and yeah I'm so badass and cool idgaf attitude ... they butchered my girl, shes one of the coolest female characters in video games, she was never an accessory to Dante, her character was great as it was, also I really disliked her voice and how she says fuck every wee minute ??? it sounds so lame too

Dante is barely there hes a side character for some fucking reason, sure he is sick in fights but that was about it.

And whats with this PHYSICS shit, why are you tryna explain teh demon shit with science?? my god i cringed so hard a that stuff, you don't need to make sense of it,

and this whole refugee demon bullshit is absolute ass, it was unnecessary, we have demons they eat humans its cool af, demons are scary, and we shoot them.

Making it so that its not demons no no its just some oppressed race with big scawy monsters, oh and sparda doomed his people to shits, my god they made sparda look like such an awful piece of shit, they took what's so special about his affinity to humanity, and rendered the demon race (makaians) as the good guys they made the demons

anthropomorphic except for the big bad scary looking monstrous demons, I do not understand why this change was made, but I know for certain it was awful.

Demons are supposed to terrify you, and I will not forgive what they have done to our bosses

Cavaliere Angelo if you look at him in dmc5, is over twice of Dante's height, in the anime he was regular sized, they gave him the Arlong treatment except Arlong was A PERSON AND NOT ANIAMTED, when that enforcer died with his sword she said " an energy sword" which first of all is so fuckign stupid and cringe, secondly if you mention it's an "energy sword" follow up on that? what did we see from Cavaliere Angelo? he was unbelievably lame it broke my heart, my guy couldn't even cut down an elevator door what???? we didn't see his cool lightening attacks, Dante's fight with him was mediocre as fuck, they truly threw Cavaliere Angelo's stature and prestige down the drain.

Agni & Rudra had their heads on their swords when you fought them in dmc3, while they kept their yappy nature, they weren't even as close as to how funny they were in DMC3, and again they weren't cool enough, they felt like accessories to rabbit.

overall, Demons didn't feel as scary as they should be.

The underworlds design was nothing special, it brought me no anxiety (which it should) like the game did, there was a sense of terror from the environment of the underworld in the games and the environment in general, the urge to get out and fear of the unknown, while in the anime it was just "bad air pollution wooo" yeah you're very deep to include pollution, I should give you a star sticker on your ass.

I think in general the music choices were peak but I wasn't a fan of the devil trigger cover, also the fact that Dante has his own theme, and don't tell me "oh but it was at that moment when he triggered his devil trigger bla bla" yeah well it's still Nero's theme...

I also dont like how the show ended, lady is stupid I guess lmfao, Idk what ways are they plotting to ruin the Alpha and the Omega himself.

I just kinda wanna pretend like this adaptation never happened but I know people will talk about it and watch it so I don't know if I should hope for the best for the next season or just not care at all, because I feel like they can't redeem it at this point

may this post find every avemujica fan in good faith idk all my commentary on the anime after episode 11 got blown out of proportion to the point that i got called illiterate multiple times by different people which is very funny because i am someone who always preaches about media literacy... so i am here to make myself clear on everything. why i think what i think and in general why i am so disappointed

my main problem stems with the fact that they made uika and sakiko RELATED. firstly, i have to state that i quite liked uisaki before episode 11 got aired. in fact uika was my favorite character in avemujica. i enjoyed their dynamic and it was very interesting. to me personally, i clearly saw their relationship as something that was romantically coded based off uika's behavior towards sakiko. uika is very clearly obsessed with sakiko and that obsession stems out of love (and trauma and mental illness). from the lyrics of imprisoned xii and to hugging sakiko's preformance outfit and sleeping next to it as if its a pillow and other cases, it was all obsessive behavior because uika loves sakiko, she wants to bind herself to her forever. many people like me thought that it was romantic love and even if it wasnt romantic, seeing how uika acted towards sakiko and then learning that they are related (aka aunt and niece) makes it so weird. i think i have full right to be upset. my complaints come from the fact that they could have handled this so much better and written it in a different way. the genealogy between sakiko and uika just popped out of nowhere and was very much unnecessary.

saying that the anime was always meant to be weird and uncomfortable doesnt help it. when you frame their relationship this way and then turn around and make it incestuous cant be written off as uika just being mentally ill. incest is a very sensitive topic to many people such as myself for example, so this plot point just was unexpected to me and made me feel upset just because of how it was handled.

what makes it all worse is that we know that the writters can do a good job, take mutsumi/mortis and her excellent representation of disassociative personality disorder or take the whole mygo anime for example. its not like they cant write well, hell even in that episode, uika's identity crisis and everything connected to her sister was so interesting, we could have had that twist as itself as we already had uika twin/sister theories circulating from start so it would have made sense at least and further developed her.

queercoding, queerbaiting and then dropping the incest on everyone was vile. it wouldnt have been as bad if they hadnt built this brick by brick just to crash it down. you think uika being related to sakiko added any depth to her character? it sure as hell didnt. and i will keep on thinking this way until its explicitly said that uika lied about something idgaf. "uika is an unreliable narrator" okay then she better be lying about being related to sakiko idk, uika already was a terrifying and interesting character without being sakiko's aunt. this isnt about media literacy, its about being uncomfortable with incest and the fact that people are condemning others for feeling this way is insane. incest just made uika lame and all the other people defending it lamer like i dont know go stand in the corner with your incest ship and think about it

i hope this isnt my last thoughts on this, well until the anime ends that is. which is in two episodes.. i will remain of this opinion most likely until uika proves the whole weaver of lies thing and if its stated that she isnt related to sakiko then great! will i still like uisaki? no and it doesnt mean that i dont like ave mujica or bandori anymore and that i am leaving the fandom. no i am not. just because of incest i will not stop liking the franchise or ave mujica i will just promptly ignore the incest and not pay attention to it or engage with anything relate to it for my own good. it just left a bitter taste in my mouth and i decided to state how i felt, i could have never guessed that people would get offended...

Ugh. The trailer for The Materialists just dropped (and I am so excited) and already I've had to block a bunch of people saying annoying stuff about Chris. Mostly in the realm of 'Ew why would you pick him over Pedro' 'Pedro looks/is so much better than Chris' (even some gross comments about choosing a rich guy over a waiter. Apparently being one makes you undesirable). Like, if you're a fan of Pedro Pascal, Idgaf, good for you he seems like a sweetheart. But it's not necessary to shit on one guy to prop the other up. Especially over a romcom. Whoever Dakota's character chooses, that doesn't say anything about either guy, just the characters. Please just go enjoy the movie without this stuff. (And by comparison, ever Chris fan I've seen has only talked about how good he looks or how excited they are for the movie. It says a lot). I really am looking forward to this movie though, Chris really does look good in it. Though I worry we're not going to survive it lol

I've got some things to say abt the latest episode of Tell Me Lies, as well as some fans of the show.

Firstly, I just want to say that Stephen IS Shakespeare's Iago.

1) I really hope Bree finds out Lucy was the girl Evan cheated on her with in the future storyline, bc this group of friends needs to just never be together anymore.

2) Oliver was always an opp, from day one, no matter how hot his actor is (and trust I have been both side eyeing and involuntarily gushing at their scenes for a while). "Boys" are the worst at any age; he's a prime example of that but Bree doesn't know that yet. 45x19 is never the move, esp when the older's married.

The reason why Bree keeps telling people abt Oliver is bc she doesn't want to feel guilty or under a moral pressure abt it when she's in the affair to feel like she is desirable/worthy of attention when her friends barely do anything to really know/care for her & she felt her relationship w/Evan didn't have enough reciprocated emotional investment. Which is ironic bc Oliver is certainly not giving that despite how she feels he sorta "picks" her over Marianne by choosing to spend time w/her, validating her feelings abt Evan/her friends. Despite him saying he won't leave his marriage for her.

He's playing a push-pull game to keep her wanting more: the ring, "why wouldn't we?", etc. HE travels to some NE "village" for Thanksgiving with rich white folks and she lives in the dorms. He is still using her, this is and never will be an "equal" relationship.

3) idgaf abt the possibility that Diana is trying to swerve Steven by lashing at Lucy, it will always be an amoral, unnecessary, unethical move when Steven PUBLICLY & VISIBLY in front of both their friends was & HAS BEEN trying to rile Lucy/Leo up.

4) Diana thus 100% deserved that slap, esp when Lucy was the one who put her onto to the Steven-Macy and *she* didn't believe Lucy at first. Lucy is the one who's enabled Diana--IF she is trying to get away from Steven now--to plan in the 1st place, & she goes & does this?

Nah, let's hold Diana accountable for her actions as you (a lot of people) have been holding Lucy accountable for hers! She was a coward bc even if she is doing this to get away from Steven and she is as smart as people say she is, if she is actually pretty good at social manipulation, it's still amoral to tell the victim he was the real problem and invited abuse (a girl younger than Diana [20-22] herself, who also took Steven back when he cheated on her and put her down for months and is currently still doing so), is not the NECESSARY move when we see the same dude publicly try to harass Leo and Lucy in front of the friends who will not check Steven.

5) This is also the same reason why I am annoyed & disappointed w/Pippa even though he was the only one to at least say something abt & TO Steven in the situation. How are you going to stand there, witness Steven try to get Leo to go wild on him not once but TWICE, hear Lucy tell you abt Steven getting to her, hear him say she "embarrassed" herself at that lunch table (Steven had been trying to break them up for ages!), see Lucy stay away from Steve the best she could until not only he but his sister criticize her for being "psycho" (against Steven, not her behavior towards others, Sadie thought Lucy was being "crazy" on Steven),...see Diana wrongly assign all the fault on Lucy...then say you can't "believe" Lucy slapped her?

Not only do we know & you saw Steven be emotionally abusive to Diana (& I am sure she wouldn't say the same if Diana slapped another girl saying that), you slapped Steven yourself?!!! Under the guise of a game, but everyone understood what you did! Leo fist-pumped you for it?! All bc you have a crush on Diana, you're willing to ignore how Diana is literally victim-blaming while she herself "makes it easy" for Steven to hurt her time and time again.

6) And I'm red in rage over the Lucy getting blamed and this idea of victimhood or victimlessness bc it's all abt the principle of the thing: yes there are many women who will sacrifice their dignity for male validation (like Diana, not just Steven but her dad), & Lucy was one of them when she had been dating Steven...but this is the point of the show! MANY women are like Lucy and Diana and Pippa. MOST women have at one point in their prepubescence to dating lives have sold other women/girls out, blamed other girls, to believed or vilified women trying to defend themselves in a sea of men-protectors, etc. bc out world has made it very clear that, for a time, these actions will at least move negative male predation away from them or get them social "favors" for it, or some sort of validation the same society denies young girls and women. Gain back what is lost.

It's still women's jobs to reflect and stop that behavior in ourselves as we grow. At least Future!pool-Lucy is not throwing another girl under the bus as she tries to get back at Steven for his wedding speech, even as she is choosing to react to more of his bullshit at the age of 25-27! We hold Future!Lucy accountable for not taking the opp to protect her own peace...but not Diana when she's actively making Lucy out to be the bad guy in a situation where she definitely wasn't?! Making her out to be the "crazy" ex and weaponizing her slapping her against her for her own needs?

This goes to show that our society/the internet still will approve male violence in any form--even encourage it, with Leo vs Steven (this instance is kinda valid, but you should know what I'm getting at)--before they ever let a woman REFLEXIVELY lose some bit of restraint and react/defend herself.

Past!Lucy was not even horrible to Diana nor Steven before epi 6; she was trying to stay away & live her life w/Leo & the others. Yeah, she's emotionally immature before and after Steven, but:

a) she is actually "worse" AFTER Steven and if he didn't exist or had approached her with all his damn negging, she likely could have done better for herself as she grew in this college environment when, once more, bc Steven was so horrible to her she developed a hyperawareness towards possible psychological threats from intimate partners or other kinds...esp with how her mother tried to make her to be the wrong party, talking abt "your dad would be so upset with you" when she slept with his best friend as he died and way before that! Lucy was kinds set up for more ish bc her mother created the expectations for that.

b) Past! & Future!Steven goes/went out of his way, unprovoked, to make her feel she was always the one doing wrong when he creates most of all his own issues: Macy, inviting the freshmen girls he hunted for in the first place, cheating on Diana, telling his gfs their hormones & periods make them insufferable, manipulating Wrigley AND his brother Iago-style , etc.

Steven is out here literally trying to ruin people's day bc he has never had one himself. How is Lucy mean to be so perfectly composed 100% of the time?!!! No, things will always give, plus she is 19/was 18.

7) Which is why I don't fuck w/Max even though Leo also cites how Lucy uses people's worst things against them (which, again, is her doing reactive mistreatment bc she, form Steven, now reflexively anticipates people using/lying/manipulating her).

Leo at least HAS to stay away from toxicity bc of his own anger issues & abusive past form his dad & his reliance on the only thing that made him relatively safe...ironically, very similar to Lucy. I wish he had clocked both this AND how Lucy is more reacting in the face of having not much support form the peanut gallery, but I get it, it simply isn't their time. I loved them together, and despite him not telling Lucy about his ex cheating w/Steven when he knows she is so triggered and afraid of any scenario like manipulation, saying that its "unimportant" I also think there is a chance that they could have tackled it with how good they were communicating otherwise. How good he was at that aside form this thing.

Max, however, has no background to be telling Lucy to "forget" Steven kiking up with him in the 4th or 5th episode, I forget. Esp when she herself asked him why he is doing said kiking knowing what she told him abt Steven...talking abt "people changed". Also we have seen no real consideration of what I have described all along: that Steven is the issue, and that maybe instead of "forgiving" him and giving him a pass, just suggest she stay away from him and not engage with Steven yourself for her to be able to actually "forget" him, as YOU say!

No, we don't dismiss our partner's upset bc we're upset they haven't "forgiven & forgot"; that in itself is not very "mature".

And no, I don't think that her FUTURE/present!pool-move licenses Past!Steven, present/future!Max, whoever, to give her past-self flack.

Yes, at the older age you must realize that sometimes you've got to be the one to make an end of things or have built up some thicker skin to generate some peace as you're not even in the same spaces anymore like you were in college when the guy truly was making life hell enough for you to drop a class.

Yes, the pool scene shows she has little progress than she should. That in no way negates how Steven hasn't either, he's just now even better at hiding his crazy...I mean that damn speech?

Yes, we the audience know that Steven is slighting both Lucy & Diana with his whole "find the right one to do the work for"; but people like Max don't. People who don't bother to internalize and observe people beyond the surface and at their own convenience.

Steven also says he was the idiot (notice how he makes it abt him), there is enough for some inattentive, inexperienced, distracted, or ignorant people to take it as if he's being self-effacing...but no, he *ended* his speech w/that dig. This and the sales comment abt her "as long as you're happy" (when we already heard him say to Diana that he basically thinks working in sales is "beneath" him). HE hasn't changed, not one bit. He will always try to get his lick in, as present/future!Pippa says he will and has not ever "changed".

Again, I can't exactly "hate" Lucy for the pool scene even as I am exasperated with her for it. I hate discrepancies like these where one ends up "hating" the wrong person the most, makes me misanthropic (not just misandirist).

Last Notes...

So, real life-wise, yeah, Future!Lucy, stop, just remove yourself from those group of so-called "friends" AND Max and get some therapy. Otherwise, you're just choosing to be toxic. Yes, the letter about Drew was much, but that is more misguided defending a dead girl who shouldn't have died. The way she went about it was concerning, but not unfoundly malicious. Yeah, her telling Steven abt Lydia's personal shit was terrible of her and maybe it's bc she had many experiences from Lydia actually doing as she did with that stupid poop comment to embarrass her. That was shitty, but I am also not going to remove the described possibility abt Lydia when we know Lydia is perhaps the biggest pick-me to ever pick me in this entire cast and is def jealous of Lucy. I think it's important to note that Lucy one time punched Lydia's ex when he basically cheated on her publicly or something along those lines. And, as Lucy says, she was trying to take care of Steven the way she thought she was (as some people will say Diana might be trying to while getting back at Lucy).

Perhaps Lucy and Steven are a pair who drag everyone around them, with Lucy sending that letter (Wrigley's accident, Drew's mental dive) and also having slept w/Evan & that also having lead to Bree getting w/Oliver. However, Bree wasn't forced to sleep w/Oliver even as she searches for validation form him she's missing from Evan and her friends. And Wrigley having allowed his mates to harass Pippa, having joined other boys/men in inviting only freshmen girls who he later says are a "curse", when he's the one who suggested this stupid ass game for this group of people (we don't nearly give enough flack for this when this basically set up the entire evening along w/Steven's bullshit, but apparently we will give Lucy flack for the pool scene above all else). Evan not only cheating but making Bree feel she's crazy for questioning his overcompensation, then getting mad when she wouldn't give him the time of day when she's really just distracted, then him stringing along the girl I don't remember the name of. All of these people are quite capable of creating their own drama and hurting each other without Lucy, esp with how they refuse to let Steven go or pay attention and hold him accountable, go ALL the way with him.

I think that a present popular audience feeling that Lucy is somehow "close" to Steven's level and type of toxicity are themselves serving to protect mal predation and bad acting. Something these "friends" are doing, ironically.

So I will always have the most smoke for Stephen & the other men....THE MOST. As I also ream Lydia Pippa, Bree, Diana....not just Lucy, as it appears people have and continue to do. Stephen is the un"fix"able provoker, Lucy may almost always respond or seek out to compete but that is more because she is highly, immaturely lost. Stephen is not and never was lost in her impulsivity that is discouraged more often than Stephen is simply bc of expectations of girls over males. There is no grace I can afford to Stephen who CHOOSES AND STRATEGIZES to be an active menace to everyone around him, god awful mother or not. Lucy needs someone to level with her without being a complete hypocrite or uncognizant of abuse and misogyny themselves so they can remain as observant as possible. Stephen needs jail or exile. Lucy's problems stem from an extreme sense of low self worth; Stephen is insistent on destroying others to make room for himself. They are not the same and do not have the potential for the same, esp separated and Lucy somehow forced to look inward. Remember, IAGO, and unlike Othello, Lucy's story isn't done yet, if the writers continue to write well.

I love this damn show so much. i wouldn't be friends or even acquaintances with any of them, yes inclu Lucy & Wrigley.

Reasons We Love Top Tanin

Earlier today I posted a breakdown of the scenes in which Top was SA, now I wanna give him some love because Top Tanin is a sweetheart damnit!

Also, what I said in my other post applies here too, we can discuss Top as a character, but blatant and random hate is unnecessary.

With that being said, here’s a list of Top’s best qualities:

1. His confidence! The first thing I loved about Top was how confident he was, you can tell just by the way he walks that he knows he’s the hottest guy in the room. Not to mention how sure he was in his pursuit of Mew, he never let himself get discouraged and always had an air of easy confidence no matter what.

2. How slow to anger he is, without being a pushover. We’ve seen Top get berated on more than one occasion, and he’s never been shown as angry in most of these confrontations. Besides looking slightly annoyed, he’s usually seen as being calm and sometimes even amused.

3. His quick remarks and comebacks. As I said, Top is no pushover! He’ll let people go on about whatever they feel, but not for too long, and he especially won’t ever let them think they have the upper hand. I love how he gets when people try and behave as though they’re above him, he always knocks them down a few pegs (as he should).

4. The pride he takes in looking his best. Top is well dressed, well groomed, and he just seems to take the best care of himself. He has a routine that he seems to do religiously, and he always dresses his best which adds to that air of confidence he carries around. Like I said before, he knows he’s the hottest in the room, and that comes from his own knowledge that he takes good care of himself. (I need a Top focused episode so I can watch his everyday routines in detail)

5. His general idgaf-ness. Top is not the type to get involved in drama, or care about what other people are doing. He’s not a gossip, and he stays in his own business until someone drags him into their own. We don’t see him pay attention to rumors spread by others, most likely because he knows how untrue they can be, but also because he doesn’t care enough to pay attention to it.

6. His willingness to grow and be better. Top is not resistant to change, he can evaluate his life, see what’s not working, and actually do something about it. If he’s wrong, he says he’s wrong without any excuses and holds himself accountable. When his boyfriend explained why he wasn’t comfortable with him doing drugs, he listened and decided to stop asap. He never went back on that, even if maybe he’s been tempted. That just shows that he’s always willing to hear genuine criticism and use it as a way to grow. Anyway I can talk for days about this so let’s move on!

7. How artistic he is! Top is a very creative guy it’s amazing, he’s constantly shown to be a talented artist. Every time we saw Top with Mew, he was drawing and being the artist boyfriend everyone begs for. I also love the fact that we were able to see him in his element at the hostel, the scenes were brief but they definitely showed how serious Top takes his artistry as far as his career is concerned.

8. How he cares for his significant other. We all know Top is #1 in the boyfriend department, and I don’t think that’s something that’s new! I’m pretty sure that although his past relationship(s) have been brief, he has taken care of them and met whatever needs they have. A good example of this is the fact he learned about how Mew gets his experiences from books and decided to take him on all these new, and creative adventures/dates to help him have real life experiences. He definitely will adjust to his partners needs in other to make sure they’re always fulfilled and happy.

9. How gentle he is. Top Tanin is a gentle guy okay? He’s definitely someone who would rather use soft touches than rough ones. He rarely raises his voice, he speaks softly but with enough assertiveness to make you listen, and he talks to his boyfriend so sweetly.

10. Him being a blatant sweetheart! I started this post just to talk about this, Top Tanin is the world’s sweetheart. He’s kind to people he doesn’t know without expecting anything in return. The way he would constantly reassure Mew? Sometimes he’d do it subtlety, other times it was obvious. When he gave Nick that advice about staying away from Boston, look he definitely had no reason for doing that, other than him just being a sweetheart. His active listening, he always gives his full attention even when he may not like what’s being said.

So what did we learn? Top Tanin is a Sweetheart, with some pretty likeable (cough loveable cough) qualities! These qualities should be appreciated more in my opinion! More people should see how good this guy is! I’m screaming this from the rooftops constantly, let’s all scream it together until Top hears us.

i did something i hadn't thought i'd ever do again

i went into the Ted Lasso tag (and on the TL subreddit, why oh why do i do that😬)

i'm a simple person, no inner turmoil for me

overall, idgaf if it happens or not, it's been a year, i have made my peace with whatever used to bother me (i actually had to dig a bit in my head to remember it'd ended last year and not this year, that's how peaceful my head is about it now)

if it does, i'm definitely watching it whatever it's called and whoever's in it; if it's bad, i'm not rewatching it (having a cutoff line like that makes it very easy, just pretend it doesn't exist, the way we do with scrubs s9); if it's good, brilliant, i'll have more to rewatch

but the thing is, the part that did happen already, all the bits of it that i have various feelings and emotions about, lives on my hard drive to be there for me and mine whenever

so how the existence of a new season that's supposedly worse and/or unnecessary ruins the already existing seasons

can those who don't want it, like, simply ... not watch it

i'm not being whatever unflattering adjective you might be thinking, i'm genuinely struggling to understand

i have seen a lot of this with cliffhanger endings and several years' gaps between seasons during which fanon becomes larger, more intelligent and more ambitious (much easier to do ofc when you don't have to actually film the damn stuff) than canon

A trend's sole purpose is marketing

It's like the idea of consumerism has been disguised in the guise of an art form using the idea of fitting in with everyone and keeping up with some code or some sort is necessary to be accepted, if being accepted means looking the same as everyone around me, then to that I say fuck off

Don't get me wrong, I've always admired the ability for expression, but my own pride has always stood in the idea that I'm going to wear whatever the fuck I want any fucking way that I want and IDGAF what anyone else has to say about it

I'm going to be myself, even if the thing that I choose is not fitting in or actively choosing to be boring, then that's exactly what I'll do

I wasn't born into this world to be an indentured slave to capitalism

The idea of uniformity might be pragmatic to some, but it's also a suffocating type of peer pressure that does nothing but promote unnecessary consumerism

Wear this eyeshadow, no you wear the laces like this and they have to be this colour......blah blah fucking blah

If others are able to assign meaning to the things I wear and the way I wear them and the impose it upon as a set of standards, then there's nothing stopping me from doing the same back to them

Look I have adhd audhd? Whatever… it’s how my brain works. I’m a very detailed person in everything that i am. I express myself indepthly because that’s just who I am. It’s to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding or misinformation that’s just how my brain tends to operate even if it’s considered unnecessary at times. I’d rather be understood FULLY than misunderstood as I’ve been misunderstood all my life in every aspect. Idk if it has anything to do with how I grew up or genetics.I grew up in a horrible horrible household where I dealt with abuse (physical, verbal and mental) I also dealt with neglect and other shit I’d rather not mention the details of. To be transparent, ive unpacked a lot of trauma, learned a lot about others and myself and healed a lot within myself. My environment isn’t with my family but im safe happy and healthy. Im alive. Thats all that matters. I know what I want in life and I def know what I deserve and my worth and what and who I want in my life. I’ve grown, changed, evolved, learned from my mistakes and I continue to do so. I spent a large part of my life just surviving and hating myself never being the age I was and learning what not to be as I had plenty of examples of those growing up. I look back at all the people I used to be every year every few months even a few days ago and I notice changes all the time. I do not recognize the person I used to be not at all. And for that I’m forever grateful and proud of myself for how far I’ve come and how much work I’ve accomplished. I know who I am, I’m a good person and I’m true to myself I always will be.

this is just who I am I will explain and over explain it’s just me. I don’t try to do it on purpose. I’m not trying to be anyone I’m not. I don’t live my life to please others I live my life for me. Idgaf if anyone reads the tags or reads anything I say. Whether they care or not. They don’t have to read them. It’s just my writing and it’s nice to express myself. Sometimes I write just for me to look back on and see how much has changed since then and see where I was at the time. Fear is such a beautiful thread to puppet humans~

Hello beautiful souls I hope you are eating healthy, sleeping well, not taking anyone else's shit as you own. However today I really wanted to talk about fear and it's such a strong emotion because it can control you so much.

So speaking from my experience I have been really scared to do soo many things literally like anything because I was raised in an environment where everyone told me what to do, and they would actually get over protective of me. I know it comes from a place of love and care however it has another side to it which is basically I started fearing things so much. And it started controlling me. The reason why I'm sharing this is because if any of you are in a state of constant fear just know that you can let that go. I'll tell you exactly how to do that.

1) Believe in your self, bitch if you won't who else will~

No matter how hard life gets you gotta believe in you and ik it's hard sometimes, easier said than done. Whatsoever trust me, once you believe in yourself I swear to god you would have comparatively less fears.

2)Other people's opinion of you ain't your business ~

God I'm so tired of picking up on other people's opinions as my own and then I'll come back home and realise wait I don't really want to pick this opinion up. Listen everyone has rights to share their opinions and I truly respect it however, in everyone comes you too. Do not just listen or believe in everything you watch on social media or even everyone around you. Especially don't pick up on everyone's opinion please and don't listen to everyone, listen to people and if you don't align with it fine.

3) You do you~

Do your shit it doesn't matter go with flow with your own essence. The only time fear controls you is when you give it power. People are gonna scare you, they're gonna be like, “Omg you have multiple personality disorder ” or , “omg! if you shave your mustache it will grow even more” I have a moustache idgaf I shave it . Who cares? Listen do your thing and don't let unnecessary fear control you so much. You'll get screwed.

Don't let people's suggestion scare you.

Suggestions have no power until you give them the power. I read a quote like this in the book I'm reading i.e. “power of your subconscious mind” shout out to “Dr Joseph Murphy”

Listen your brain does exactly what you make it do, so if you accept a suggestion which is irrational you will act accordingly. Don't do that.

Meditate before sleeping

10 minutes or 5 minutes of meditation done before sleeping helps sooo much or even meditating a little everyday consistently. My therapist always tells me to meditate lol. You know why? Because it keeps you relaxed as well as, when you go in the state of relaxation that's when you brain transforms or creates new signals, it's a huge process however this is as per my knowledge.

Your answer about wandee is so relatable idgaf about yakdee/greatinn like that especially since their characters tire me out, rn theyre still in the denial stage but even when they have intimate moments smth is missing idk. They aren't bad actors nor does it seem theyre uncomfortable with each but they definitely don't have the same intimate energy as jimmysea or earthmix.

That being said thorfluke (not the thorfluke I know but the thorfluke I got) they have me coming back every week. oyei and cher act like an old married couple it's so cute, they definitely have better intimacy than yakdee and their back story? Tragic first meeting to trainer and trainee to lovers (GMM PLS GIVE ME A SPINOFF). I'm more invested in how they're gonna solve their debt issues than yakdee getting together but maybe that's just me

it's actually interesting because i love slow burn, i love pining, i even love obliviousness, i could honestly spend dozens of episodes watching two characters just circling each other without admitting their feelings and simply not get tired of it (phumpeem in we are is currently the perfect example of this), but like you said, i do feel like something is missing when it comes to yakdee. of course part of it is due to the actors, because not even all my favorite tropes could make me like a pairing if the actors themselves can't sell the romance to me, but at the same time great chemistry isn't enough to make a story good (see pondphuwin as morkphi in futs), so i feel like what really makes the difference are the characters and whether the dynamic that's established between them works with who they are. basically all this to say that there's just something in yakdee and their slow burn that does not work out for me, at least in those first two episodes (and in all the gifsets) i've seen ;;;;;;;;

i actually did like the little i've seen of cher and oyei a lot, im always weak for a good established relationship and my favorite part of the first two episodes was indeed oyeicher making fun of yak saying he and dee are fuck buddies, but im kinda terrified at the possibility of the writers messing them up in some way for unnecessary drama, so i think that's also why i've put the show on pause, i guess im just waiting to see how things go

but as i said i do want to give the show a chance, so im definitely gonna catch up with it one of these days and then i'll have a more firm opinion of it!!!!!

what i find interesting, and this is the last thing i'm gonna say about this, is that there’s always some sort of PR gift or something involved. like she goes silent for a while, and then when people speculate and wonder where the hell she is (which is so unnecessary idgaf if she disappeared from the face of the earth) she comes back with a story dump, which makes people analyse the hell out of it. same with the damn restaurant and sighting. she knows that when she posts that, people will come back checking for more. and she is getting the attention by her story views going up.

can we please just collectively agree not to put so much weight into what this dumbfuck is doing? it’s not worth it. she is meaningless. she’s a nobody even if she tries to behave like a superstar.
