On the contrary, it really was easy to miss someone like Sia. Speaking of the Sianach, he was standing behind them and waiting for the two to end their talk.

Follower jumped and his feather fluffed up as he quickly turned around to pull out his sword but he calmed down when he realized it was Sia.

The mere presence of a Sianach can be felt. A cursed being radiated so much of its energy you could cut it with a knife through the air.

-> Deep within the castle of Blackrock was a massive alchemy room. Cauldrons, potion bottles and all sorts of ingredients were neatly organized by organic, non-organic and whatever else an alchemist would have. -> A couple of demons could be seen moving about the space, chattering away and mixing potions together. The kingdom of Blackrock was known for its magic, it's ghouls and goblins. Magic, the advancement of magic was their goal. -> A couple cells could be seen within the space as well, each empty except for one.... One that held a familiar weredemon inside. -> His fur was fluffed up as much as it could, eyes wide and pupils slit so far that it looked like he didn't even have them, more so looked like pure black pools of fear. He was chained up, his wrists and ankles bound together and a metal muzzle over his face. These fucks even took off his clothing too, leaving him as a helpless shivering animal.

Thunder didn't mean it that way. She's not so great with words. She was just genuinely wondering.

Sia took the floaty anyway. Her player (@eberronm) described it as one of those classic duck floaties, but it's a black kenku instead.

The Tin Mug is a fairly short choice-game where you play as a tin mug, on its birthday. It is a fairly linear story, with the binary choices leading to the same ending. The game is maybe more meant for children, but it's enjoyable nonetheless.

Spoilers ahead. It is recommended to play the game first. The review is based on my understanding/reading of the story.

Though it is your birthday - as a tin mug - you are faced with many challenges: fancier china and crockery looking down on you for being so cheep, rowdy children not caring much for things, and well... the lack of birthday wishes. Through trials and tribulations, things take a charming turn, leading to a well deserved send-off. It is simple but hits the mark. Good deeds always pay off.

And had cute illustrations to accompany the text!

While it was very cute, I struggled most with the program used for this game. Strand is a parser-choice hybrid format (though it uses only the choice mechanic here), where the formatting of the text leave to be desired. - For longer passages, the program would force you to scroll back to the top of the added text to pick the story up from your last choice. This was particularly egregious when illustrations were added through the new bits of text. - As for the illustrations, their scaling didn't quite work, covering often too much of the page, forcing you to zoom out to get it in full. - Often, the dialogue would be formatted in ways that made it difficult to distinguish who was speaking when, as the speaker would change multiple times within one line/paragraph.

It is an entry with lots of heart, but needs a little tweaking still.

Among the swarm of serious, scary and strenuous entries, it is nice to find sweet and soft ones to balance it out. Like Esther’s, The Tin Mug is a short children story with a lovely heart. The Tin Mug uses his birthday to do some good deeds :slight_smile:

While it was very cute, I had some issues with it (I think most of them are related to the program used):

The way the dialog was formatted made it often difficult to distinguish between speakers (some line/paragraphs would change speaker multiple times).

After some options, the text would move so far up, that you had to scroll to catch up. It mainly happened when new chapter started and when an illustration you appear.

In a similar vein, I feel like the game would benefit from breaks between chapters by starting a new page altogether.

Aside from the last illustration, I think the pictures are too large. I had to zoom out for some of them to get it in full.

Your choices make very little difference. There is a slight variation in the text, but the story is very much a straight line.

Overall, a fun cute play.

The forest got darker, colder and wetter the more the hellhound got closer to the Graveyard. It was dark and black. Fog was scattered around…

Although a flash of red could be seen it looked like…a tent? Something was cooking too…

a/n; just thinking about jihoon soft launching his s/o.

jihoon's footsteps echo through the cold building and he's met with bows from everyone walking past him. he acknowledges them, bowing back with a stern visage.

his expensive black bag is strung on his shoulder and he walks with ease, confidence oozing with his presence. to anyone who is not aware of his romanticistic nature, he's the cold, grumpy producer who hasn't touched a woman in years.

entering the elevator, he presses the floor button and leans against the panel. but before the doors could close, someone enters the elevator cab. jihoon sighs inwardly, looking at the person.

soonyoung, one of the choreographers in the company. and jihoon is pretty sure he shits rainbows 'cause how the hell can a person always be this cheerful?

he sighs internally, expecting for a social interaction to be thrown towards his face but soonyoung only bows and stands a few feet away from him.

while jihoon feels grateful, he can't help but be a bit disappointed. the horror appalls him, does he want a man pretending to be a tiger to be his friend?

it isn't until that the elevator dings, when soonyoung speaks. a smirk lines his lips with a glint of mischief in his eyes, “nice keychain.”

the younger stares at him, confused as he steps out with a wink. jihoon leans down to look at his bag, and-ah there it is. a hello kitty keychain hangs by one of the zippers.

right then, a text message pops up from you, asking him if he reached safely. a soft smiles graces his features and pink tints his skin.

he sends a text along with a selfie of him. following it up with a 'thank you for the keychain.'

thoughts of you flood his mind. he clears up his schedule to watch the new episodes of an anime with you and also arranges a dinner date with you because he wants to. and a thought of soonyoung being a sexist pops up but is quickly pushed down by the thought of making it official with you.

his smile widens, and a deeper shade of pink tints his cheeks and ears. he doesn't care that anyone may walk through the elevator, and find the senior producer blushing and smiling like a teenager.

he takes a few pictures (with the help of mingyu) and uploads them on his instagram. a picture of him with the bag and the keychain along with a picture of two silhouettes by the han river graces his account.

Is it possible to do the translation in a new post, with a link to the original one at the top? This way you can reblog just the translation, and the post doesn't become too long?

i have considered that but decided against it for a few reasons:

i am no longer doing these translations for myself. i have learned how many people are actually interested in a blog like mine. and so i want to make it easier for these people to find my blog! and reblogging is a lot more effective than posting original posts when it comes to that

if i translate something that means i like it. and i want to give recognition to the person behind it by reblogging their post. and occasionally they will respond or otherwise interact with my translation, which is very fun to see, i can't lie. simply posting a link would not make this possible

reblogging something with its translation makes it super easy to compare the two. you can just glance back and forth. it's especially valuable for the image translations that i do, because i put a lot of effort into making the translated image as similar as possible. posting a link would make it so that you can only see one thing at a time: either the post or the translation. which would be especially cumbersome for users on mobile devices

È particolarmente utile per le traduzioni delle immagini, perché mi impegno molto a rendere l'immagine tradotta quanto più simile possibile. summary: there’s a barely-maintained social media account named “alex” that only seems to interact with you. you don’t think much of it, and neither does he — not until his cover is blown and his real identity is left bare. warnings: age gap (reader is 20 and alex is 26) a/n: a proper smau ! who's excited ! i am ! pls note that everyone is going to be ooc to some degree, i do not know these people and their dynamics irl. we're all just here to have fun :P

CHARACTERS: 01. alex turner - an accomplished musician, alex enjoys all the normal things in his free time — reading, chatting with friends, watching a uni student's youtube channel. completely normal.

02. y/n l/n - in her first year of uni, y/n decided to start up a youtube channel for shits and grins. now in her second year, the channel is by no means viral, but it does have a sizeable following — including that weird burner account. whose is that?

03. alexa chung - alexa knows she's technically an influencer, but she hates the term and she hardly considers herself famous enough to be influencing anyone. really, she'd never seen herself going down this route, but y/n had convinced her to last year. speaking of … who’s the weirdo in y/n’s comments all the time?

04. matt helders - matt's noticed alex has been acting a little strange lately, but he's yet to get a real answer as to why. he can't focus on that, though — they have an album to write!

05. nicholas o'malley - nick isn't sure what's in the air to make alex so strangely happy. it's only really when he's checking his phone, too. a crush, maybe? not really his business (and aren't they too old for crushes?).

06. jamie cook - it's not that jamie doesn't care about ... whatever it is alex is so enamoured with. to some degree, he, too, is curious. however, with deadlines approaching, he finds there are a million other things to put his brainpower towards than his friend's private life.

NOTES: 01. due to ages being shifted around (i was not about to write a 39 year old man pining after a college student), the timeline of am's album releases has also been changed. in this au, they have only released sias, am, tbhc and are currently working on the car. to make it easier for myself to make sense of, sias released when alex was 19, am when alex was 20 (following the one-year gap between wpsia and fwn irl), then am went on hiatus and tlsp released eycte when he was 22, then am came back with tbhc when he was 24, and now they're working on the car when he's 26. cool? cool. 02. despite having a shorter discography, am are still wildly popular in this universe. 03. obviously this au will have serious moments given that it's an x reader and is centered around romance, but it's also just going to be silly goofy at times. we have fun here! 04. this is my first proper full-length smau in a long while so forgive me for any continuity errors or general missteps.
