As some people who have been following me or known me for awhile on here, I had a big shock yesterday. One of my favorite bands decided to leave for their own peace of mind.

I would like to say it now that I fully support Patty and I have nothing but love and respect for him. When I needed someone most, this band was here- literally. The night IWTHAB came out was one of the worst of my life and let me tell you, that album helped.

I found the band As It Is later than most people but they helped me more than some. They were part of my url for awhile on here, and they were my everything for a good 2-3 years. I was fortunate enough to see them live when Ali was still a part of the band and they were amazing, one of the best concerts I've seen.

It's hard to quite put in words what this loss is doing to me, because I knew it was coming. Nothing good lasts forever and I hope Patty finds a better place to be creative; whether he decides to share that with the public or not.

I met Patty, Ali, and Ronnie. All of them. I won a contest and got to video chat them. Ronnie and Ali were the only ones there, but they were some of the sweetest people ever. Ali was very soft spoken and funny, but Ronnie really took charge and made a connection with everyone so easily. But then I met Patty after the concert I had. Determined to meet him at least once, I waited till after the show.

Patty took a photo with me then went to the other people- he didn't seem at all bothered to be taking extra time to talk with the fans and he was so gentle with all of them. After he was done with the rest of the fans, I was still there because I simply couldn't leave, and I got to talk to him for a bit. When I tell you he was one of the nicest people I've ever met that isn't even an exaggeration. He was so kind and patient while I was stumbling over words, and while we didn't hug because of covid restrictions at the time- I left feeling completely satisfied and happy.

How do I say goodbye to something that was once a best friend? Even still, I'm their #2 top listener on Spotify and they take up space on the walls of my room. I think it's time to realize in my life that just because someone isn't always there doesn't quite mean they're gone. So farewell to As It Is, a best friend of mine. I'll see you guys around <3

Hi! I'm just so excited about As it is so I needed to talk about it lol

I'm so happy they're actually back!! I still can't believe it, and they're going to play the full Never happy album in Slam Dunk!! It's also nice to see them all post again, and to have Ben on the band accounts

Also idk if anyone's noticed. I saw the band didn't follow Ronnie on IG anymore but I know that doesn't mean anything, so I don't want to assume stuff. I'm just curious why he's not coming back (possibly they wanted the original line up, or maybe he was busy with other projects?). What do you think?

Anyway I'm so happy people are talking about As it is and that they're getting a lot of attention these days!! It feels like 2015, I love it

playing Never Happy in full at Slam Dunk!!! please! catch me crying in south american. but it makes me so fucking happy. actually, Patty and Ronnie said they were in the works of a south american tour right before the hiatus so i'm hopeful now.

speaking of Ronnie… yeah, i was wondering about him too. i was expecting him to be excited about it and re-post like, “so proud of my mfb!” or something. i didn't actually check they weren't following him on social media, but i don't think anything bad happened, he's always been a busy bee, he's probably just focused on his own projects. also, i think logistically it was always complicated since Ronnie is american and seems very attatched to his family and friends there, so having to travel back and forth couldn't have been easy on him. i'll miss him though, he was such a joyful addition to the band, my sunshine man <3

it's very, very exciting to see the fandom come back to life. i feel like we're thawning. it's been blow after blow since 2018. first Ben left, then Foley, then we lost Ali… then after the IWTHAB tour there were these long months of radio silence which inevitably ended up with Patty announcing the hiatus… which lasted barely like what? 8 months? it felt like a thousand years, i missed them so much!

but now the original lineup is back together! it's all so fucking exciting and cool and i can't wait to see what they have in store for us!

PS. sbsolutely not a bother to get asks about As It Is coming back! i love it. please, keep 'em coming :)

Other anon YES IM SO EXCITED!! I can’t wait!! Honestly I wish awsten had stayed in his lane here with warped bands because I am 1000000000000% more excited for IWTHAB and Elsewhere than I was for GH and that makes me sad because I loved parx first. And these two will prob live up to my excitement too.

yeah honestly not even in a sonic way like im totally ok w parxs sound changing and evolving, they werent even rly pop punk at all when entertainment came out and they got grouped in w these other warped tour bands?? but like WHYYY did u fight so hard to distance urself and paint them all as beneath you LOLLLLL how many fans got into you from bands like set it off state champs neck deep bvb don broco greyscale ETC ETC ETC??? LIKE A TON?? probably most of the ones who didnt already get into u from mcr like……… sure you dont SOUND like a pop punk band but it was so stupid to like disavow them and alienate the audience your connection to them brought u lol
