Another cool underrated animal I was wqs reminded of! The Fossa! A cat-like carnivore from Madagascar which is more closely related to a mongoose than an actual cat. Aka the closest living animal equivalent of your Mewsona!

This might come as no surprise… But yes, I love fossas! I’ve known about them for years (learned about them from the game Zoo Hospital, of all things), but they’ve always been just a background element of my mind. I wouldn’t mind making a Mew or ‘two based on one someday. ^^

anya would be a bird of some kind i think, perhaps she is a bird that lives in the cold. not a penguin though. but perhaps a puffin. She plucks her feathers out with her beak when she's stressed. Daisuke helps her clear out her pin feathers when she can't reach them i think.

jimmy could be a ferret or mongoose, an omnivore of some sort. maybe even a sparrow or finch. something you could throw or kick at high speeds easily. He could be punted like a football.

curly could be a hedgehog. actually wait no that doesnt make sense. hes probably something mammalian though. im curly's #1 hater sorry ill leave his fursona up to you. Actually no i think he's a fish. Yellow perch or a small bass. And that would make Jimmy a catfish. Or a gar. I like them being fish together.

swansea is a wild boar. not into him as a human (same with daisuke) but if he's a boar furry my dick would get so hard it would turn into solid stone like a man under medusa's gaze. oh but also imagine. Fat, furry beer belly perfectly resting in the arch of your back while you ride him.

let me know your thoughts on their furry species, I'm curious to hear your reasoning and choices. I am operating on very vague knowledge of these characters so this is probably inaccurate.

Still, catfish jimmy is so clear in my mind now, I think yellow perch Curly has to be real as well. and otter daisuke. Anya could be a corvid but i feel thats a little too basic for her. I also see her being a wild rabbit or hare of some kind. But she has such strong bird vibes in my mind, im not sure. Maybe she'd be a puffin and belgian hare hybrid. Like a griffin but for rabbits instead of lions.

I feel like we talked about similar topics every now and then, so for this post to not sound very repetitive I thought that I’m going to make it more difficult for myself and actually give everyone a couple of animals. I also tried not to be too obvious, but I’m not going to not call the Leeches eels…

Also there is no equality there, some guys have more animals than others :( Sorry!!

Riddle –  a hedgehog, a mouse, a house finch… he just feels like a loud little bird sometimes lol He’s small but he could bite or prick or peck you. Of course, he is also a goldfishie..!

Ace – a fox, a red panda, a red cat. Always getting in trouble, but still pretty independent and sly, but also ekekek’ing happily when fed and spoiled. Capricious but also an idiot.

Deuce – a jack rabbit, a dog (a mutt), a rat… I don’t know he just feels like someone who could be a great and dear friend if you let him into your life <3 He is a little bit wild, but also easily tamable.

Cater – a ferret, a parrot (not sure which one), a husky-golden retriever mix. Kind of obnoxious and loud at times, but so incredibly magicammable! At the first glance at least, but he really needs an owner that understands him.

Trey – a bear, a badger, a turtle. Once again, Floyd’s nickname feels like it works perfectly for how chill he is… but he could still somewhat dangerous, even if he looks cute and cuddly.

Leona – a lion (shocking), a maine coon (is this cheating?), a panda. I don’t know man, he’s just here to relax, even if it bites him in the ass sometimes… but maine coons are supposed to be good hunters, so!

Ruggie – a hyena, a magpie, a raccoon. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure – he is excellent at finding stuff that he wants and taking it without anyone noticing.

Jack – a wolf, a kangaroo, an irbis.  Sorry, he is such a pup it’s very difficult to think about anything else, but… don’t provoke this guy!! He’ll fuck you up!

Azul – an octopus, a Turkish angora cat, a ram. Very careful and anxious, but also gracious and smart… and super stubborn and scary when angry!!! Also, angoras love to swim! And have the most gorgeous blue eyes.

Jade – an eel, a scorpion... But I also want to acknowledge dolphins because of…certain shenanigans that they do… anyways, this one is a huge DANGER sign. Anything venomous feels pretty much like him.

Floyd – an eel, a shark, a husky-wolf mix. Once again, the first two are pretty obvious, but he is also a wild fluffy beast running around and yelling… when he feels like it. When he doesn’t, he is super lazy and gets very angry when bothered.

Kalim – a mongoose, a puppy (can’t even give you a breed, just a puppy, something super expensive though), a parakeet parrot. A mongoose is just too ironic not to pick, but he is also super friendly, excited and sociable! And colourful, of course. Always the center of all the attention.

Jamil – a snake (viper/cobra), a chameleon and a caracal cat. Once again, cautious, independent, ready to attack but very sneaky about it. Also very gorgeous looking, it’s difficult to look away even if you know it’s dangerous…

Vil – a peacock, a show dog with tons of medals and awards, a horse. Speaking of gorgeous… Truly a magnificent creature that knows his own worth. Perfectly fit, perfectly pampered and groomed, but also has quite the temper.

Rook – an eagle, a fox, a hound. I feel like it describes Rook pretty much perfectly… An excellent hunter, but also there is something so sneaky about him. But then you look at him and see someone who is very friendly and open-minded, just like a dog! Weirdo…

Epel – a bunny, a chinchilla, a Pomeranian. He would be so mad, but let’s be honest, am I wrong? The last one especially feels like a no-brainer to me: so small and oh so fierce.

Idia – a skittish cat, an anxious borzoi dog, a fallow deer. Somehow both a loner and enjoyer of good company… he is cute and long and kind of both gracious and clumsy at the same time.

Ortho – a dog (Cerberus!), a clione (sorry it’s too cute Floyd is right again), a tiger cub. The last one is probably kind of sudden, maybe I should’ve went with something flying instead, but he does feel like a little pouncing hunter sometimes…

Lilia – a bat, a sugar glider, a shrike. Small, adorable, but oh god how fucking deadly. The more I think about it, the more I think of how much of a shrike he is…

Silver – a jackalope, a unicorn, a hippogriff. All fictional animals because he is just that otherworldly lol Probably isn’t fair to everyone else, so I’ll make it even more unfair and give him three normal animals: a swan, a hare, a deer.

Sebek – a crocodile, a bull, a dog (Doberman or Rottweiler?). He is a such well-disciplined dog, but also stubborn and kind of easy to provoke. Still, he is such a pup sometimes.

Malleus – a monitor lizard, a crow, a panther. The first two are pretty explanatory, but I just couldn’t resist the last one – had to give him a big gorgeous black kitty.

Hiiiiiii first art post I'm sharing publicly! This has been a month in the making but it's so worth it. These are a handful of characters in my OC universe, the Elemental Realm! AKA the Eclectic Chamber, I'm currently going through a name change from elemental realm to eclectic chamber. Don't worry about that.

Italicized names mean those are placeholders while I still try to come up with a better name. For some, those placeholders have been there for years :P whoops

These comprise pretty much all the significant characters I have (with a guideline of appearing in at least 2 stories although there's some exceptions). There are roughly another 100 or so characters that I opted not to include because they're either not as significant, I don't have an interesting design for them, or I just didn't feel like it. Full namedrop behind the read more in case you're interested! Maybe I'll do a part 2 of this in a year or so, who knows.

Quality of infodumping may vary, especially considering I still have to step around spoilers and whatnot, but I'm very interested to show you how these characters have been sculpted in my head over these past several years. coyotes are literally the moment like they are in so many creation stories & trickster stories for a reason. also my grandparents used to have a dog who was half coyote and she was sooo beautiful. i love coyotes <3

i love a good bee there's nothing quite like a good bee it must be said!!! never been stung by a bee gang RISE, we are friends to bees and they know it and they see it

crows & ravens i want to befriend them sooo bad i used to carry around a jar of peanuts in my backpack when i went on a walk so i could give them to the local crows but they literally did not give a fuck 😭

BATS i cannot leave off bats they are so cute and they hang out upside down like the chill fellows they are <3 i aspire to be like the bat

I am curious about them… sorry if it’s been asked already but when were rose/aspen first created? do you have any old(ish) art of them like concept art… i am interested in the process !

i've talked about this briefly but not lately or in depth so i'll go over the whole timeline! rose was created before aspen, and he was originally a zangoose (pokemon) made for an ask blog!

this was (basically) his first design! it's from late 2015 so i was 15 when i drew this. his name comes from a random zangoose gijinka i drew in my sketchbook and never used again but the idea behind his design was just to make a cute kitten zangoose because its called the cat ferret pokemon (even though its clearly supposed to be a mongoose?)

aspen was introduced in july 2016. he was originally a fletchling gijinka because i used to draw, like, every pokemon i had in my copy of pokemon x as a human. but for the blog he was given a regular pokemon design which was actually designed by someone else as part of a giveaway thing

this is my art from september 2017 ^ i ended up rebooting and then shutting down the ask blog due to personal reasons, but rose and aspen always stuck around in my mind. just as humans now

^ these are from 2017-18. first is a fantasy au where aspen is a werebird and rose has plant magic. 2nd one is normal but the story behind his leg being missing in both these is that was my plan for the ask blog but it seemed weird (TO ME AT THE TIME) for aspen and rose to both have amputated limbs so during this era aspen had both arms but one was partially paralyzed/he didnt have full use of it

(2018) this was also the sad era where their backstories were crazy depressing but i wont get into that

(2023) this ^ was post-"oh they are way too sad" realization and they get to be happy normal kids

(2023) redesigns + pokemon au for a full circle moment

(2023? or 24? im not sure) redesigns again. and also where i'll stop because this is getting long and any further updates would basically just be posting recent art which is already on their toyhouse profiles
