i've been feeling so normal (not true) about so high school and initially it was because she sounds so much like fearless taylor on this track (most likely intentional) and then it hits you... this IS the girl who wrote debut and fearless... entire albums about not feeling so high school in high school... and then there is suburban legends and all the times she uses the word precocious and i knew everything when i was young and when she was six in frigid water and there's nothing like a mad woman (what a shame she went mad), but she gets to reclaim her youth a little in this with all her past lives creeping up on all the words she says in the song... how she sings the chorus almost reluctantly and timidly... it's so ♡
