I know we keep joking that one day they're gonna say that the reason Audrey's such a bitch is because of something Chloé did as a baby therefore Chloé is the one to blame but I feel like more realistically, and keeping in line with the fact that for some reason they really said a parent isn't responsible for how their child grows up, I think they'd probably go with Audrey being like "I never meant for her to learn any of my bad behavior" as if children don't just immitate what they see even without being told anything.
Cause they did essentially say Andre was never a bad role model so Audrey "my actions towards my daughter aren't abuse according to the writers" Bourgeois clearly also isn't a bad role model /sarcasm
oh well remember, Andre never did anything 'bad' now! At least nothing that wasn't spurred by him bowing down to Chloé's wants so therefore it's /her/ fault not his even though he's a grown ass man who could've put his foot down!
So clearly all of Audrey's actions are love! She's just soooooo tsundere and bad at names she just really wants the best for Chloé!

something i think goes overlooked when exploring the dynamic amami and ouma develop over the coarse of the first chapter is that ouma and amami are both parentized children. both of them are the heads and main/primary caretakers of a very very large family that depends on them specifically to keep them out of danger- their dynamics in their friendship quite literally exist because they are wish fulfilling eachothers parentized roles. ouma gets to exist not as a leader or parent but as a trickster, someone who relies on others, someone who watches from above, he doesn't have to be on his best behavior around rantarou, and he can trust rantarou to take care of him if needed. amami on the other hand falls back into the pattern he seems to like most, parental, paternal, often he is reduced to nothing but his looks, what he can bring sexually to the table. with ouma he gets to be something more than that, not just a caretaker but a translator, a needed piece in oumas story.
further more, i believe most of oumas behaviors can be better understood when you understand that he himself is also a parentized child. this is where his dual dynamic is created, as a parentized child you are taught that you must control your peers behavior, that you are the only one with authority and you need to regularly excersize that authority to ensure they're on the right path, and that their failures are your own failures. the parentized child doesn't get to be a child themselves, which can often lead to two routes, one like rantarou where the child grows up too fast ditching any semblence of what they deem as "Childish", or they can go in the opposite direction and immitate the childish behavior they were denied of. Ouma has a desire to give up control, to let other people handle the situation for him so he can relax and actually enjoy himself without being high strung, but that's not possible for him, due to his need to excersize authority and viewing the others failures as his own- especially considering the stakes of failure, being death. i believe this is also why ouma talks about the deaths the way he does- he doesn't believe in the dychotomy of innocent and blackened, instead he believes they are ALL guilty, but especially himself.

i saw a tiktok last night that perfectly encapsulated what i'm talking about and it was a woman who was sick and feverish and she was taking the time to complain ab straight couples and ask women things about their husbands. and the first "blunt" question she asked was why do all of your husbands pack fine motor skills. she then proceeded to immitate them struggling to put on chapstick, struggling to eat, and then went on a tangent about how literally no men have good hand writing and if she ever saw a man with good hand writing she'd say "wow you have the hand writing of a teenage girl!!!"
and this is exactly what i mean when i say there is no space for disabled men, there isn't any fucking breathing room. you can't do jack shit about anything because you can hide your symptoms as much as possible according to society and then even after that you're still needled at for literal fine motor skills which need to be taught to children for them to develop them in the first place which parents don't fucking do. it just reminds me about how theres like. nowhere to go with disability. because i doubt these men would feel even more embarrassed if you told them. thats how my dad was he had all these noticable weird traits (speech impediment, monotropic interests, no social behavior, lack of motor skills) and my mom made fun of him with her friends constantly, WE made fun of him with our mom. and when you do that and then you tell yhese men hey actually its something intrinsic and unavoidable and tied to your existance they flip the fuck out because they literally think youre telling them that they deserve the abuze theyre getting and its easier to view it as a man thing or an unlabeled thing because then they can at least defend themswlves
i really dont know how to fix these situations. they make me so upset. everyones disabled everyone has a disability in one way or another and we live in such a violent society that forces people to deny it and project it on others.
an autistic woman who is unclean and obsessed with my little pony is someone in need of help or "correction" where as an autistic man who is unclean and obsessed with my little pony is a pseudopedophile.

Addison headcanon infodump
I'm a huge slut for xenobiology & xenosociology and over the last couple of weeks I acquired a few headcanons so why not infodump about them! Quite a lot of biology jargon here. These aren't in any particular order but I'll try to keep them organized somewhat:
It ended up being too long so i gotta slap a read more on this bitch
Ad-slots: addisons are based on ad slots, the banners on the margins of web pages. For this reason, they don't choose what they advertise; just how advertisers simply buy ad slots in websites, addisons just feel a certain calling to advertise something specific. They can't change what they advertise, which might fuck over addisons who got stuck with lousy product, like exploding cars.
Bird-aligned behavior: while they're nowhere near similar to birds in appearance (as opposed to swatchlings, who absolutely are), addisons have some bird-like behavior, specifically nest building instincts, egg-laying and the ability to immitate other things. More on that later.
Funky mannequin people: addisons have a mesoskeleton that's quite literally a ball-jointed mannequin with a ventriloquist dummy-like head. Their organs are protected inside it and it gives their body shape, and it's coated by a layer of fat (for insulation) and a layer of thick, opaque silicone, which is what gives them their characteristic colors. They have hair pretty much in the same patterns and textures as humans would, but it's always the same color of their skin.
Red cheeks: every addison has red markings on their cheekbones, but their silicone skin covers it up, and you can only see at the very most a darker spot. White addisons have a slightly more transluscent skin due to being, well, white, and therefore the red markings appear as rosy cheeks. Quite adorable.
Voicebox & speech patterns: instead of regular vocal chords, they have a voicebox (not unlike a doll, yeah) on the back of their throats, that allows them not only to reproduce sounds that aren't their regular voice (think like a parrot), but it also gives them the ability to insert hyperlinks to various ads and products while they speak. While it's something they can tune out, it's natural and satisfying for an addison to insert hyperlinks in keywords or key phrases when they're talking. If they're surprised or overcome with emotion, their hyperlinks might break or malfunction.
Nesting: one of their most bird-like behavior is nesting; while swatchlings and other bird monsters might prefer wider, elaborate nests, addisons have an instinct that favors tight walled nests, and can and often will sleep sitting up leaning against something surrounded with blankets, in a pile/burrito. They develop an instinct to build nests when they are about to lay eggs, usually with blankets and pillows. Beds that are built for the needs of addisons often look like as if a cylinder was cut in quarters, with long curved walls to support their heads, like a divan. Comfy!
Ad-lings: addisons reproduce by laying eggs in batches, between 1 and 6 eggs, and from the eggs (I guess you could call them pipis, sure) hatch ad-lings (or ad-sons), which is what you'd call a young/adolescent addison. They take a really long time to achieve maturity (think like if a person was considered a kid/teen until they were like, 26), and because of how much dedication ad-lings require from their progenitors the egg-laying parent usually becomes barren after laying their brood. They're highly social, especially with their siblings, and as they grow up they develop a sales pitching method, which they like testing out on their family and friends a lot (ad-lings and adult addisons don't mind them much, but other darkeners may find it a huge hassle).
Gender? I hardly know 'er: addisons don't have secondary sex characteristics, which means that besides the actual reproductive system they have little to no characteristics that would differentiate between sexes. Because of that, addisons play fast and loose with gender identity, gender presentation and pronouns, usually just choosing one set of pronouns for themselves and that's pretty much it.
I think those are the ones I have so far? Let me know what you think! I love those fucking ad creatures so much <3

Hey! I was wondering if you could do promt #3 for Hyde x reader? (Love your story telling btw)
I (fake) love you - Steven Hyde x reader
a\n: this somehow ended up as a fake dating au but i’m not mad
trigger warnings: cursing, weed mentioning, Hyde and reader are pretending to “do it” as Kelso would say, i’d say it has some angst and fluff but nithing too extreme.
I was always good at reading people. Normally, I could talk to someone for 5 minutes and know everything there is to know about them, for example, the first time I met Michael Kelso, I knew immediately he’s dependable, loyal and likes to be pushed around. Most people thinks it’s his lack of smarts that makes it easy to manipulate him, but the truth is he just seeks attention, he grew up in such a big family, and as just another sandwich kid, he never got that much attention. He’s more than just a good-looking, brainless goofball.
Eric Forman? Smart kid, heart of gold. His father crashed his self esteem and his belief he has no worth sunk so deep into his brain he’s not even trying to prove it wrong. He’s not just a nerdy smart-ass, too bad he’s scared of his potential.
Donna Pinciotti is the girl who will go far. She’ll make history, i can tell you that. She is passionate, and she will not hesitate to fight over what she sees right, yet will admit if she did you wrong. She grew up in a loving family overall, but she doesn't want to end up like her dad: rich, lazy and stuck in a small town. She’s a big city kind of girl.
Fez is sweet, desperate and eats candy to cope with his loneliness. He’s not afraid of his feminine side, and cares about his looks in a different way then Kelso. He might be weird, and have a tendency to say the most inappropriate things, but he never looks to hurt someone or make them uncomfortable, he just wants to feel loved.
Jackie Burkhart was a bit harder to crack, and her first impression on me was semi-wrong. I could tell she’s more than a spoiled brat, I just didn’t know if it’s in a good way - like, she might be smart and kind, with a broken point of view in the world but she’s willing to look at it from a different point of view. On the other hand, she could be a mean, spoiled brat who’s going to succeed big time by manipulating the hell out of everything around her. Turns out it’s a little bit of both - she’s kind, and she learns the world is not all glitter and unicorns, but she manipulates to get things her way. At least she doesn't make a fuss when she doesn't get what she wanted. Well, not as much.
With all that, there was still one mystery in the little group I found myself a part of: Steven Hyde.I could not tell you a thing about him. I knew the basics - his name, the fact his parents are not there, and that he likes weed, beer and Zeppelin. He hid every sign of emotions behind sarcasm, and had walls taller than anyone i’ve ever met.
I started hanging out with them when I moved here. Kelso made a move on me the second he saw me, and he still tries to this day, but it’s obvious our relationship is strictly platonic and it’s not going to change, even though he thinks it’s better. One time I jokingly agreed and he said, and I quote, “ew, no, you’re like a sister to me”, but he keeps on making sexual advances on me for the sake of the joke.
I quickly befriended the rest of the guys (and girls), and even though i learned to love all of them, there was someone i really loved. Not Kelso, he’s practically my brother, it was Hyde i was so into, but i can’t tell you why. Maybe it was his sense of humor, maybe it was his kind heart or maybe it was the challenge.
“Hey, (y\n), penny for your thoughts?” Donna said, breaking the silence. The TV was on, but it was clear my head is somewhere else. “She’s thinking ‘bout Hyde” Kelso was quick to tease. “Shut up” I growled at him, and suddenly everyone’s focus was on me. Hyde wasn’t there, Kelso might have zero tact, but he would never throw me under the bus, cause he knows i will get into the bus and run over him. It was me and him on the couch, and Donna and Eric across from each other on the chairs as a way to avoid them making out instead of hanging out with their friends. “(y\n), do you want to tell us something?” Eric asks. “I- no, it’s stupid. Kelso is stupid, remember the time he ate a blueberry on a field trip and it ended up being the poisneus one we were warned about when we arrived?” i said, hoping it will drive the attention to tease him and not me. “Oh, that was funny, but not as funny as the time he revealed you have a crush on Hyde” Donna said, “but good try”. I sighed. “Look, it’s not like i’m in love with him or something, he’s just a mystery I want to solve. A mystery with a kind smile and great sense of humor. Look, it’s nothing, Kelso is just obsessed with the idea his best friends will date” i said. “oh, Tell them what you told me, come on! It was hilarious” Kelso said, ignoring the last part of my confession, and when I refused he decided to share my words he did it himself. “God, Kelso, his voice is so hot, i can listen to him for hours even if it’s just the stupid car that runs on water non-sense” He said, immitating a high-pitched voice that didn’t really sound like mine. “That is not what i said” i tried to redeem myself, but Eric and Donna were too busy laughing to hear me. “I just said he’s voice is calming” I kept trying.
“Who’s voice?” Hude asked as he jumped over the couch and took the open spot next to me. “Y-” Kelso started, but i hit his chest, “-our mama” he changed the ending of the word, “BURN!”. “I was talking about the weather guy” I made up, but did I lie? “You’re so weird, man” Hyde sighed, stretching and leaving his hand on the couch. “Well, kelso, we have this thing, you coming?” Donna said, “with Jackie, the double date i can’t believe i agreed to”. Kelso looked confused, “it’s tomorrow”. “No, it’s today” Eric insisted, winking at him and nudging his head at me and hyde. “What? Jackie is going to kill me-” “we won’t tell her you forgot” Donna plays along. I saw right through the act, but kelso really thought he forgot.
He left the basement along with Eric and donna. It wasn’t the first time me and Hyde we’re alone, but usually it was Kelso ditching me and Hyde when the three of us hung out to try and get a girl to sleep with. I’m telling you, one day he’ll get someone pregnant.
“What’s with them?” Hyde sighed and got up to get a popsicle. “Who fucking knows?” i replied, trying to think of a way to change the subject. “You saw how Eric pointed at us? Like what, are they trying to get us alone?” Hyde continued, handing me a popsicle as he sat down. “I- yeah” i admitted, “Kelso has this crazy idea, he wants us to date cause we’re both his best friends or something” i explained, leaving out the part i was on board with the idea, and the fact that it was originally mine. “Oh, we should totally prank them!” Hyde said, “like, let’s pretend to date and be the most annoying couple ever”. I looked at him confused. “Like, we can use cutest couple names, ditch them to be alone or just make out in their face constantly” his smile got wider and wider, and I can't say no to that smile. “Sure, yeah, could be fun”.
The next day, I walked in the basement wearing your favourite outfit, ready to annoy the heck out of my friend. The moment you entered the room, Hyde got up and pulled you onto a hug. “Hey, lover boy” I said, kissing him on the lips. We had to practice doing that without laughing. We kissed like, 10 times yesterday when we planned the prank, his reply kept breaking us and we had to do it again. “Hi, apple pai” he said, kissing me one more time. Everyone looked at each other, exchaging “what the fuck?”s with their eyes. Hyde placed his hand on my waist and walked me to the couch, “Steven!” I laughed when he picked me up in bridal style and sat down, resting me in his lap. “God, babe, you look so hot today” Hyde said, sliding his hand down my side, settling on a not too sexual but not that friendly spot on my thigh. It was all planned, and fake, but the blush on my cheeks was as real as it gets. “Well, lover, I wanted to dress up for you” I said, fidgeting with the collar of his shirt. “Uh, guys, what’s going on?” Jackie was the first to speak. “Oh, well, yesterday Kelso, Eric and Donna, pulled a little trick to get me and Hyde together, and it worked” I smiled. “Yeah, guys, thank you so much for helping me get with the most beautiful girl in the world” Hyde agreed, looking at me through his rosy sunglasses. I took them from him. “Hey!” he said, but before he got them back I put them on. I slide them down my nose and look up to him. “That was hot, so i’ll let it slide this time” he said, taking the glasses off of my face. The script we wrote was absolutely perfect.
The days have passed, and soon they turned into weeks, and our little show kept going. I’ll admit, kissing Hyde and ditching the gang to hang out with him (we pretended to leave for a different reason, tho), the fake double dates… it was fun. The longer we pretended to date, the more our couple-y behavior stuck with us, like, one time we met up for a pretend-date and he kissed me when he saw me. I kissed him back, it just felt natural. We got a good laugh out of it, but it happened more than once. I knew I had to ask him to stop this, because my feelings kept growing but he had none, plus I know he kept fooling around cause i’ve seen girls flirting with him, and they always left together.
We were in his room now, pulling another trick. “Oh, lover, yes” i called, trying to sound as breathless as i can. “Oh, buttercup, you're soooo hot” Hyde called, and jumped on his bed, making it creek. I had to really hold my laugh as I joined him.
“Oh, babe, you’re so good” I called, adding some moans in between words. “Nice” he whispered. We heard the door knob being messed with. Hyde was quick to push me down on the bed. He took off his shirt, hinting me to do the same as we got under the sheets. He got on top of me and pushed his lips against mine just as Michael opened the door.
“Dude!’ Steven called and pulled the covers over us as he fell on his back next to me. “Dude, we can hear you, that’s so gross. You two are-” Michael started. “Well, you can just take your hangout somewhere else, Kelso” i said, throwing the first thing I could grab in his face. It was my shirt. “Yeah, we are kind of in the middle, man” Hyde said. The moment Kelso left, Hyde and I started laughing like crazy.
“That was..” i said as he got up. “Yeah, i’m so good” he said, mimicking my breathless voice. “K, give me my shirt back” i said, trying not to look at his bare chest, and not luckily, he was already putting on his shirt. He went up to the door. “Kelso took it” Hyde said, grining. “Well, shit” I sighed, but he had a solution. “Take this” he said, and tossed me a Led Zeppelin shirt. “Thank you, lover boy” I said, staying under the covers. He looked at me, waiting. “Well, turn around, creep” i said, laughing. “As your boyfriend-” he started, but gave up when his eyes met mine, “fine”. He turned around, allowing me to put on his shirt. “You can look now” I said, fixing the shirt. “How do i look?” I asked. “So hot, buttercup” he replied, smirking and wrapping his hands around my waist and kissing me, forgetting that we are not actually dating. “Hyde, we need to break up” the words slip out of my mouth.
“what ? why?” he asked, “i mean, this is the best prank i ever pulled, and the most enjoyable” he said, his lips stretch into his familiar smirk. “Because-” i tried, but couldn’t come up with a good reason other than the truth. “I mean, you have to admit it’s fun” he said, his hands still around my waist. “Well, yeah, but not for the reason you think” i say, and the confused look in his eyes hurts me. “I- Hyde, this is.. Look, I know you’re sleeping around and that’s gonna blow our cover ``I finally find an answer, “you don’t want your friends to think you’re a cheater”. He looked even more confused. “(y\n), i haven’t touched any other girl since we started... this” he replies, pointing at me and at him. “But i saw you-” I insisted. “I couldn’t, every single time” he admits. Taking the sunglasses resting on his cabinet and putting them on. “Why would you do that? You really expect me to think a horny teenager gave up making out, possibly more, with really hot girls because of what? He’s fake dating a random girl?” I laugh sadly. “No, god, (y\n), you are not some random girl” he says, resting his hands on my arms. “Why-” “because i love you!”.
I don’t know who was more surprised at his words - him or me. We stayed quiet. “Are you- are you gonna say anything?” he broke the silence. “How about i’ll do something instead?” i said, taking a step closer to him. As I moved closer, I placed my hands around his neck. “What are yo-” he tried to ask, but I pulled myself up and connected our lips. Even though we kissed before, this time it was different. His lips moved against mine in a mix of relife, passion and love. He tasted like mint, orange flavoured popsicle and weed. “I forgot to mention, I love you too” I said, breaking the kiss. “Whatever man” he said, re-connecting our lips.

@dog/cat owners who bought your pets when they were puppies/kittens: do you worry about them not learning all of the “normal” dog/cat behaviors and immitating some human behaviors because their parents weren’t there to teach them? do you think about the concept of taking an animal away from their parents when they’re essentially babies and renaming yourself as their mom”/“dad”?

This is problematic (Culminating Entry).
Everything I am now is a product of my history with my family. It’s a recurring theme in most blog entries, especially those that tackle family and peers.
It starts off in the dream house drawing wherein I designed a house and only realized after it was drawn that I had not made any accomodations for a family in that house, but I made a guest room for friends staying over. It depicts the part of me that wants nothing to do with my family, and would be more comfortable without them.
My unhealthy relationship with my family had conditioned my mind to associate them with negative thoughts and emotions - to the point where seeing them or even hearing about them brings me to a foul mood. In Bronfenbrenner’s theory, that would mean that my perspective of my family had been so distorted by my negative experiences with them that now I automatically feel negativity towards them. I stereotyped my family basically into something detestable.
In “The Feeling Self” terms, my antecedent for disgust would be my family and my cognitive appraisal of them would be my own history of negative experiences with them. Thus, the behavior or consequence that results from this would be isolation or withdrawal from my family.
That withdrawal is my primary form of self-regulation when it comes to family. But in the absence of positivity in the home, I find an abundance within my peers who, due to the more positive interactions and history I’ve had with them, had become more family than my actual family. And sometimes, this becomes a problem too.
My problematic history with my family had inhibited me from doing and experiencing many things. My id was sort of repressed while growing up and it wasn’t until late high school when I met the best people of my life (and continued to meet more) that I had felt the pleasure of being with a positive group of people. Because of that, I threw my ego out of the window in order to continue satisfying the id that had been repressed for so long. This is why, even while facing heavy deadlines, I can still be seen playing in Techtite with my friends because I absolutely enjoy it. I find it difficult to resist invitations from my friends because of my history with my family.
My overgratification of my friends had manifested itself even in my identity. While I try my best to avoid similarities between me and my family, I do my best to immitate my peers. My moratorium barely happened in adolescence because of the repressive nature of my family. It had only resurfaced in late high school when I had felt the pleasure from experiencing new things. This is why recently I had been trying new things - drinking, sports, smoking, playing games, going out with friends, etc - in order to find which activities best suit me. I recall how a graduating senior in college who was my upperclassman in high school commented how I had completely changed since the last time we’d met. And I still continue changing due to my id driving me to try things with my friends.
However, I try my best to avoid showing this change to my family, fearing that I’ll be repressed once more. And thus, at home, I act as if I have the same stoic personality I’ve had before to fool them into thinking nothing had changed. Essentially, I’m acting. And I do this to several sets of friends as well, each of them knowing their own me based on their interests that I try to faithfully copy as I desire more to be like them. In other words, I shape my own personality to be more appealing to certain groups of friends. And this shaping has become relatively easy due to my copying of their interests. While reconciliation may be the next step to my separation from my family, I don’t see it happening any time soon.
Thus, this is where I am now: isolating myself from my family and striving to be closer to my friends. Others, however, would say this is normal because my age dictates I should be separating myself from my parents. In my case though, this act of separation came earlier because of my problematic history with my family, and also the fact that my parents were OFWs ever since, which made the replacement of family into peers happen quicker. Early-mid high school, I already found intimacy in the family a difficult concept to understand. And this was because my loyalty was to my peers. I became part of several crowds whose interests I managed to copy in an attempt to form an identity. In college, the experience from intermingling with several crowds and forming a personality from them helped my acting around my peers. I could adapt to various crowds while still satisfying my desires and getting what I want. And my family would know nothing of this.
This is who I am now: a guy who is driven by pleasure around his peers, his true family. And all this happened because of a problematic history with my actual family. This self is a product and a survival mechanism from a series of past conflicts.

Vicky Nguyen KRON 4 NBC News Bay Area Reporter Accused Of Bugging Teen Girl Students For Story
Vicky Nguyen KRON 4 NBC News Bay Area’s Reporter’s alleged to have gone too far in covering the story-of-the moment:
Stories of sexual misconduct are rampant of late, and for good reason: media economics. Online search for content under the term “sexual harassment” are at the highest level ever for that topic in the history of Google Trends.
What that translates to is local news outlets trying to jump on the gossip gravy train and immitating the worst of the National Enquirer in the process: stories about sexual harassment that are not backed by fact but only by innuendo, all the time taking a huge risk of earning a defamation of character lawsuit based on psychological harm. But it’s done all for advertising revenues from ads like the ones that appear on the Vicky Nguyen – KRON 4 News pages associated with the story.
What Vicky Nguyen is accused of doing is going on Twitter in pursuit of comments by teenage girls at Presentation High School, what’s called a “private, Catholic, college preparatory school for girls established in 1962”, and located in Mountain View, Ca. It all started when Kathryn Leehane, a former student, published an essay in The Washington Post reporting her frustration after telling teachers and police in 1990 of an alleged sexual misconduct act done to her and to another female student by an instructor who was not named, and who has since died.
That opinion piece was seen by many students and parents at the same Presentation High School caused two other current students to step forward with a new series of reports – one that the San Jose Mercury News writes was serious enough to call police.
Two Presentation High School teachers were put on paid administrative leave.
As happens quite commonly today with this kind of story and social media, rumor ran far head of facts. Parents called for an investigation and launched an online petition, and out of that came a new round of unfounded accuations. And KRON 4’s Vicky Nguyen.
Trying to get their piece of the story, KRON dispatched Vicky Nguyen to work, and just that she did: first locating, then cyber searching, then tweeting out to contact already scared and confused teenage female students at Presentation High School. Why? Ms. Nguyen, undoubtedly encouraged if not directed by her assignment desk editors, wanted to interview them – many claim without Ms. Nguyen seeking parental consent.
In addition, Ms. Nguyen showed up at the school search of the teenage female students, and also teachers, to interview – on camera and without parents present. Moreover, KRON’s reporting worked to point an accusatory finger at Presentation High School’s Principal Mary Miller. That prompted this email from Ms. Miller to parents and students of her school:
Dear Parents and Students,
I want to bring to your attention to a matter we find improper and disturbing. Within the last 24 hours, Vicky Nguyen (a reporter from NBC Bay Area News) direct messaged at least one of our students asking to speak to them off the record and does not indicate what she would like to discuss. This reporter has also begun following Presentation students on Twitter. We consider this action incredibly unethical and against journalistic integrity and acceptable code of conduct. Attempting to contact minors for interviews without parental consent displays a lack of good judgement and crosses obvious boundaries.
Of course, students are free to speak with the reporter. Parents, we thought you should know what is occurring. We intend to reach out to NBC with a formal complaint. If you find this behavior unacceptable, I encourage you to do the same.
Sincerely,
Mary Miller Principal
