A Small Moment Together

Oh my gosh, I've been going through such an art block this month. I am so glad that I was able to draw this! The problem is that my creative juices have run dry, and I get restless and force myself to draw a lot. Honestly, a lot of the time, drawing ends up feeling like an obligation. But I realized that, when I'm not having fun drawing, my drawings turn out to be trash. And, of course, making a bunch of bad drawings does not help the creative juices nor my confidence in my art skills. So, in other words, I'll most likely post less. That way I can focus on things other than drawing. For example, I've been procrastinating on learning the guitar for three years. So I'm going to focus on playing my guitar and making sure I don't get burnt out with my art. I'll draw more once drawing is fun for me again.

Anyhow, I had a lot of fun making this drawing, and I'm happy with how it turned out. Happy Pride, everybody!

ISABEAU!!!

Here's my first (solo) drawing of the fluffy boy! He's just so cute! I had a lot of fun drawing him. I actually used a reference for this one because his design is a bit more complicated than Siffrin's. I decided to take a bit of creative liberty with his design, though. I wanted to make his hair fluffy, and I thought that freckles on his face would be cute. (Also, please ignore the color notes at the top left of the drawing. That's just for future reference.)

He looks kinda feminine, but that's probably because of the eyelashes. But he's keeping them! They look fabulous. Honestly, it probably just looks feminine because masculine characters in cartoonish art styles aren't given eyelashes. But SCREW THAT! GIVE MEN FABULOUS EYELASHES! EVERYONE HAS 'EM! SO WHY NOT?!

In all honesty, I really love how he turned out!

Lastly, the sky kid appearance of this chapter is... me! that's right, it took 850 panels for me to grow the guts to put MY own skykid in MY own story
