I have a perhaps personal ask, and at the same time struggling with how to phrase it. I've been looking into making an interactive story myself, however, I... cannot code. For the life of me. I can tell one hell of a story, but coding it beyond my grasp, and the system I currently use, while it ought to be simple enough even someone like me could do so, isn't exactly working for how I want it to. Do you perhaps know anything anywhere that I might start looking for someone who would be willing to work with me? I am so sorry if this is a bothersome ask.

I'm probably not the best person for advice on this, because I've never been in that situation before. I've put some thoughts under the cut, with the caveat that only a small portion of them actually address the question you've asked, with the majority being related but perhaps not helpful for you, depending.
So, I think where you'd go to find a coding person depends on what language you're using. If it's ChoiceScript, probably the forums. If it's Twine... I honestly don't know. Maybe the subreddit, though you'll want to double-check that such requests are not against the rules there.
I sincerely doubt you'll have an easy time finding someone, though. Most folks who code in the systems used for IF are IF authors who taught themselves the coding techniques in order to tell their own stories, not someone else's.
That said, and this is the part you can ignore, because you know yourself better than I do, but... I'm pretty sure you can learn to code. It's not easy, necessarily, and it doesn't come intuitively to everyone, but there are resources out there to help you. Again, this will depend on what system you're using, but the CS forums are very useful for figuring out CS (as is the wiki, once you know enough to parse it). For Twine, there are loads of archived posts on their forums and on the subreddit for specific questions, but for general ones, the documentation for your preferred program (e.g. SugarCube), the Twine Cookbook, and similar resources will break things down into smaller, more digestible chunks. I personally recommend the Twine Grimoire (volumes 1 and 2), for basic interface aesthetics, once you get to that point.
Here on tumblr, @/nyhelism, @/cerberus-writes, @/manonamora-if, @/idrellegames, and others have all answered questions about Twine coding or even in some cases made templates that take a lot of the work out of it. Most have a masterpost regarding things they've answered about Twine or made for others' use, but be sure to check that they're currently accepting coding questions before sending them any, of course.
Learning to code may be slow and incremental, and lots of people manage better if they start with a small project just to learn how to do the basic things in their language of choice. I'd really recommend figuring out what you need your game to be able to do, and learning those functions one by one—it's less overwhelming than trying to tackle everything at once while also writing a huge project.
If all else fails, my most esoteric suggestion is to familiarize yourself with the basic principles of symbolic logic. I took a class in it as part of my degree, and have since also taught that class, and I think understanding things like the logic of conditionals (if statements) as they're used in coding (rather than natural language) really gave me a leg up in learning to code. Not that I'm an expert, but I know enough to make a basic game, at least.
Most (all?) of these things should be findable with a google search; I know there are at least some Twine tutorials on youtube as well, though I'm unsure of CS or any of the languages I'm less familiar with, like Ink, etc.
I do apologize that the section where I encourage you to do the thing you don't think you can do is longer than the one where I answered your actual question, but that's the part I might actually have something useful to say about. If you're absolutely certain you can't do it, I'm sorry for banging on about it, but if you're not sure or on the fence, maybe give it another go before trying to find another person. I've seen a lot of writers looking for coders in the past, but maybe only once was a coder offering their services to writers (and that was a long time ago).

Might of the Meek Devlog #1 - Better Late Than Never
I've been meaning to do small updates and devlogs for my game for like, forever. So I'm biting the bullet now.
What is Might of the Meek?
Might of the Meek is an incremental game me and Brynn (@brynnticus) been working on for the past few months. It's a game where you play as a God of the meek, using creatures to gather power, while shaping how you intend to grow as the game progresses.
Progression comes in the form of your Skill Tree, and at the start of the game you'll get different minions, each with their own strengths to play into on the Skill Tree, if you so choose.
Prototype for a barebones clicker is actually done! It clicks, you can buy minions, and the whole thing Works. Very very few passive nodes on the tree are also added and is functional (Basically the system is done, I just have to code in all the passives)
Other features have also been added, such as the rarity and tier system for minions. There's plans for more systems, such as abilities and trinkets, that will come later in the timeline.
So here's the priority list for code:
-Getting all the minions done
RNG for a minion's rarity and tier has been made. Right now all that's left is the passive minions have when they're Epic or Legendary rarity.
-Skill Tree
Part of the core loop of this clicker. So pretty important
-Prestiege & Trinket system
Core progression to finish the main game loop
-On Fire System & Crits
Stuff to spice up clicking, and to call on for passives
-Ability System
Planned to be a card-based system, this one is the final touch to finish what I'd call a 1.0 release.
Currently all artwork is done by Brynn while all code is done by me in Godot. I might post more of Brynn's art soon as the current UI is temp UI. It's inspired by Minecraft, since it's a style we found hard to replicate with AI in a horrendously AI asset saturated market (mobile)
In other code-related logging. Save and Load is a constant spectre on this game and I've been continuously doing and redoing my approach with it. It's horrendous and I hate it, but for now it works. We'll see if it still does every devlog onward.

Progress Update #42
I just remembered that I made this banner for my devlogs, so it's time to bring it back.
First, I want to acknowledge the recent influx of new followers my dev blog received. Thank you so much for taking an interest in my dinky little project. As for my old followers, thank you for sticking with me this long thus far. It's a long journey, but the finish line looms ever closer than before.
In my last update, I planned to finish coding Ch2 of Steeped in You. That...did not happen.
I released Starset Prism in its prototype stage, thinking that'll be the end of my perfectionism. Unfortunately, my first release and all of its flaws continued to live in my head rent-free. That compounded with the fact that I couldn't figure out the save/load was driving me mad.
As a result, I ended up pouring my efforts into making a visual novel template. The idea is to get to a point where I can just replace game assets between each project and get started much more quickly. Of course, I'll have to rearrange things between each game to give it a unique flair, but it'll still be faster than coding from scratch or having to copy/paste.
Currently, I have most everything set up. I have all the screens (Title, Save/Load, Configuration, VN Reading) but Extras coded. Everything that I had working before, such as music and sfx channels, are in this template. Still no skip capability, but there is auto functionality. Most importantly, there is finally a save/load system!!

I even figured out how to solve my weird volume slider problem. Previously, the slider would go in the opposite direction of the mouse. As it turns out, the solution was stupidly simple.
The code I had only works with positive numbers. Sound, at least in digital applications, is typically expressed as 0 dB as the loudest to -80 dB before it becomes imperceptible to the human ear. I couldn't set the slider from 0 to 80 because it'll horrendously distort the sound. And if I set the slider from -80 to 0...well, it has the opposite sliding effect.
I was doing all sorts of crazy code to try and make this work, and they all resulted in the slider maxing out and remaining fixed in place. As it turned out, all I had to do was change the range from 0 to 1, and make each increment 0.01 instead.

Truly...is there not a more buffoonish resolution to all of this? Now, this problem isn't completely perfect because the slider isn't proportional to the sound outputted compared to what I had before. Though the "correct way" is to do it logarithmically aka what I have now, I don't think it's as intuitive as a linear method.
But at this point, I'm simply relieved that the appearance matches the function, and I'm not going to be blowing out anyone's ear drums with horrible crackling.

The overall VN template still has a bunch of small weird issues. So here's my task list.
🔘 Implement Extras screen. Include features like CGs, Credits, Music Box.
🔘 Set up animation transitions between the Title and other menus.
🔘 Add persistent variables (to unlock CGs).
🔘 Figure out how to prevent the text from advancing when clicking onto menu buttons in-game.
🔘 Make menu transitions more smooth. At the moment, quitting the game to go to the main menu appears to stall the entire process and can only be cleared by navigating to another menu (like Save/Load or Configuration).
After the VN template is complete, the most natural thing is to transfer my existing progress over.
I've been sorting through my sound effects collection for Steeped in You, so I figured I might as well give that treatment to Starset Prism too. So please look forward to Starset Prism 2.0 very soon, featuring a sorely needed save/load system and extra polish!
A month ago, I requested time off from my day job to go on vacation. As of now, that's next week. I was planning to do game dev...but I haven't been very kind to myself in the mad rush to complete the VN template, and now I need to be wrung out like a sopping towel. And catch up on my sleep debt. Oh geez, the sleep debt I've accrued.
I'm feeling pretty disheartened too about Tumblr's decision to sell user data to train generative AI models. There are so many obstacles in game dev already. I don't want to have to worry about throwing my game assets through Nightshade and Glaze before posting my work online either. I'm glad there are methods to combat AI scraping, but I don't think that the software available is up to snuff yet.
For starters, it takes far too long to process an image on the highest setting, somewhere around ~45 minutes. That's 90 minutes total to go through both Nightshade and Glaze. That's just a single image. All of my devlogs have at least three images or more. A simple task suddenly becomes extremely cumbersome.
The software also takes up precious storage space on my computer, not to mention the processing power while it's running. The resulting image is also full of artifacts, and it's just so...ugly.
I understand that nothing worth doing is easy, but if this is the hurdle I have to go through every time I need to update my devlog? It's so much easier to not post, and that's hardly an acceptable option. At the very least, there needs to be a web version. Ideally, one that can apply Nightshade and Glaze at once to help relieve the pain of these extra steps.
So yeah, I think I'm going to take some of that time to rest. Of course, since I'm a workaholic, I won't be able to stay from game dev for the entire week. My optimistic goal is to finish the VN template and transfer Starset Prism over. It'd be nice to have Steeped in You transfer over too, but I know the deal now about making ambitious plans.

MushRush SRPG Devlog Aug 10th, 2024
Time for the first update!
READ MORE to see: my production plan, why I'm calling this MushRush, what this week's Golden Duncecap moment was (and how I solved it), and some of THE scrungliest assets.
NOTE: I will be tagging all posts like this with the 'mushrush SRPG' tag, yes even after I figure out a real name for this project
PRODUCTION PLAN
This update will be lacking in screenshots as I was mostly fiddling with the SRPG Plugin suite, locking in a battle/events roadmap for the entirety of the game, and organizing my notes into something more concise. The battle roadmap outlined their purpose (narrative and/or mechanically), if they had something noteworthy in plot or flaovr, their objectives and their failstates, and a rough idea of what visual assets they might require.
There is roughly a total of 33 maps: so far 5 are core/mandatory, 6-7 are optional, the rest are progression. The distribution may change as production goes forward, and the map count may even decrease but I'm absolutely holding myself from exceeding that 33 number as this number does NOT include whatever magic I need to use for towns or 'cutscenes'.
Additionally, I'm holding off on ANY art assets, writing, and such, until the game has a solid mechanical skeleton to be played through. Since there are a maximum of 7 (8 technically, as its sometimes a Unit on the map but has no personality) party members, I'm optimistic about its implementation and testing. I'm also already planning to reuse/upcycle the enemies from Moon-Scarred appropriately. Waste not, want not!
PROJECT NAME/WHY MUSHRUSH?
it's not a spoiler to say this (as it's visually obvious within the first map), but you play as a cleric of a Divine Mushroom and will be carting it around to solve the Undead Problem. I'm fairly bad at titles, so while I know the name Mysilla is important, I can't figure out a snappy game title for it yet, so MushRush will keep things silly. 8)
THIS WEEK'S GOLDEN DUNCECAP MOMENT
The Issue: I encountered my first (and hopefully worst) instance of things breaking where I could not get my template map to run at all- it would completely skip showing the Pre-Battle (win/lose conditions, etc.), (functionally) skip the Battle Preparation Phase (couldn't place any units, but I could 'Start' the battle with 0 usable units) and then enter an infinite loop of the Turn Incrementing even though no Player OR Enemy Turns were occurring.
The problem was so severe and 'unsolvable' that even my basic ass debugging method of putting trigger text to tell me if/when the code was running, would not trigger. After a LONG journey of consulting the demo's documentation- even literally copying the eventing framework, nothing was working.
As I went to reset the Plugins, I noticed that they were in the incorrect order. For context: a (purposeful) function of RPGm is that Plugins have certain priorities and sometimes need a specific order, but when LOADING the plugins into RPGm, it's alphabetical in its folder (because how would IT know what order it's supposed to be in). I fucked up in that I had only remembered to put the core plugin at the top, but loaded the rest alphabetically because I was lazy and had just forgotten this BASIC FUNCTION.
Once the Plugins were organized into their correct order as intended by the Plugins' creator, everything worked as expected. So learn from my mistakes and never forget Rule 0 of RPGm use- check your goddamn Plugin Order FIRST!!

While the broad strokes of the characters are present/set (I'm still figuring out Rogue's clothing, oops), enough details can still change or will later be included to make them less boring, such as how Red/Wizard is an older lady, but there's no point to putting the wrinkles at this stage.

There are many layers of abstraction between what a computer does and what a programmer tells it to do. Ultimately, at the hardware level, there are chip instruction sets that do things like set memory at addresses, increment numbers, and read the contents of memory. Each of these instructions is a number, which the chip can interpret. This is serialized as machine code, which is a way to store a set of instructions as data, which the machine can run.
Above machine code is assembly. This is essentially a human readable version of of machine code (on a line by line basis). Instead of raw numbers interpreted by chips, instructions like "add" are used instead of the number. But it very directly corresponds to what the chips are being told to do. Assemblers can convert the human readable individual assembly lines to machine code. They also can provide a few common pseudo instructions, which are interpreted as a simple set of instructions. Like "moving" data between memory addresses can be converted to the "load value" and "set value" instruction pair.
Above assembly are programming languages. Programming languages no longer describe individual chip instructions. Rather, they describe programmatic concepts, like variables, functions, and looping. A compiler interprets the language into an assembly language. The compiler is not perfect, though. It will make inefficiencies. While it will always produce assembly that does what the programmer codes (unless there is a bug), it is not necessarily the best assembly. But, because programming works are much higher level concepts and is far easier to read, interpret, and debug, it is considered an acceptable tradeoff, especially as memory and RAM have gotten very cheap in the early twenty-first century.
Beyond programming languages, there are libraries. These are reusable sets of code designed to speed up project completion and make matters even easier to understand. A basic coding language might permit setting individual pixels on the monitor, bit by bit. A library could take an image file and display it for you. Again, there can be some suboptimal choices, because libraries are meant to be used in many cases, rather than specific ones. It is common for the code for a library to not be the perfectly optimal code for a specific task, but because it is useful, these inefficiencies are accepted.
