I know you have ocs for resuce team and exploresr, but that leads me to ask, do you have any for gates or super? Extra notes on these teams:

Darcy and Clara both come from worlds beyond the one TPiaG is set in. Clara belongs to the mainline Pokémon world. Darcy belongs to a world where Pokémon don’t exist at all.

Bennett uses his seashell as more of a discus and shield than a blade.

Darcy has a hard time being vulnerable and holds others at arms’ length emotionally, despite being very chipper and open.

Bennett’s father is a dewott and his mother is an intelleon.

Darcy is SUPER into organization and cleaning. Bennett, despite being a very tidy person himself, will purposefully leave messes around for Darcy so she has something to get excited about cleaning up.

Bennett is a shiny Pokémon.

Clara sees Eve as a younger sister. She would do anything to keep her safe and see her smile.

Eve, upon being introduced to the human concept of keychains by Clara, has taken up the hobby of making keychains as handmade gifts for her partner.

Clara enjoys keeping a planner with lots of notes scribbled down about the events of the day. She loves to write in fancy calligraphy in it.

Eve struggles to fall asleep at night, and Clara will make up nonsensical stories for her to listen to whenever she wakes up from a nightmare. Eve thinks Clara is a master storyteller, and while Clara does enjoy writing, she’s not making up the stories on the spot— she’s actually just reciting the plot of a fanfic she made for her world’s version of Warrior Cats.

Nobody knows what’s going on with Eve, but the one thing they know for certain is that that piplup kid is absolutely NOT neurotypical.

Infinity Nikki - Swordsmith Ruins

Infinity Nikki - Swordsmith Ruins

note: this encompasses like all of the ruins around the swordsmith ruins as well as the dungeon I put them all together because it seemed like more work to separate them and also they're all related to the swordsmith ruins anyway.

Summary: Ancient Tales of a Sword Knight chronicles a sword knight and the legends that inspired him. The only one i could find was about a prince who used the power of The Dark to get his revenge and was able to circumvent the curse at the last moment. The author doesn't believe this is proper revenge since the prince used The Dark. The prince is also said to be an undying knight now so I do wonder if we'll run into him at some point. System inspection log details the problem with the iron squirrel statues being unable to tell friend from foe and that Captain Kuroda will need to find a way to fix this after the war (this obviously never happened). The new members diary details a knight-in-training catching Kuroda feeding Chigda Delicious Wishing Orbs, and that Knight Huerta sews the uniforms for the Faewish Knights herself. The note from an unknown Faewish Sprite tells about a retired belief in Kuroda and how that faith was repaid with a "vile ritual".

Ancient Tales of a Sword Knight: Preface I never intended to write this preface for the chronicle of swords, despite dedicating my life to documenting all I know about them and the fascinating anecdotes I've collected. This book could easily be called my life's work. However, I find it unnecessary for modern readers to comment on the famous swords and heroes chronicled herein, for these tales belong to the age of gods, blood, and fire.

Yet, Knight Amelia, who guarded Cicia alongside me, insisted that I share my thoughts here. She argued that my achievements in battling The Dark could add depth to this work, encouraging others to delve into its pages. In this age of strife between light and dark, if takes of ancient swords can inspire bravery and the will to fight, compelling others to draw their blades and defend this world as descendants of the gods, then it would be a wonderful thing indeed. Thus, I have agreed to offer my reflections, hoping they will help readers interpret these tales through the lens of my own experiences.

This book records the deeds of over a dozen well-known swordsmen and their swords. These tales spurred me in my training and urged me to strive for greater heights, accompanying me on my journey to becoming the Sacred Knight who stood against The Dark. However, as glorious as these deeds may seem, one must recognize that the journeys had twists and turns that led the characters through some very dark places, and that it's greatly advised to think critically when learning from their examples.

Furthermore, one must not place too much emphasis on the role the sword plays in a knight's endeavors. It is the knight who gives soul to the sword. Before the "Sacred Blade" was forged, I had already slain The Dark plaguing the Silken Lake with an unremarkable sword. It was because of my accomplishment that The Wishing One rewarded me with a divine miracle, guiding me to join His descendants in the Wishing Woods in their effort to destroy the Desperate Vine and vanquish The Dark. It was then that I forged that unparalleled blade of hope with the help of the Faewish Sprites. I therefore believe that there's no sword more sacred than a knight's chivalrous spirit.

Ancient Tales of a Sword Knight: The Broken Blade "The Broken Blade," said to be the sword wielded by the famous Headless Knight in ancient times. Once a crown prince of a small kingdom, the Headless Knight lost everything to an enemy kingdom. The Dark tempted him with the promise of restoring his reign, a promise made under false pretenses. In his desperation, the crown prince accepted The Dark's offer. And so, it granted him a sword with destructive powers and commanded him to take the life of the enemy kingdom's king. Inscribed upon the blade was The Dark's curse "This blade must draw blood once unsheathed. Its wielder will become the cruelest monster when the sword's thirst is satisfied."

The crown Prince infiltrated the capital of the enemy kingdom with the sword and plunged it into the tyrant's chest. As blood flowed along the blade, the crown prince felt the curse consuming his mind. In a moment of clarity, he shattered the blade and cleaved off his own head with its broken edge, lifting The Dark's curse at the same moment it was fulfilled. According to legend, the crown prince became an undying martyr at that moment, crafting a suit of armor with an ancient design. Some claim to have encountered this enigmatic knight in the wilderness, where he has saved them from The Dark with his damaged sword. His suit of armor remains empty, and his head remains nowhere to be found. As tales of his righteous deeds spread, people began to share legends of him and his sword, which was given the name, "The Broken Blade."

Written Note: How was it proper revenge when he used the power of The Dark? It was mere luck that the Headless Knight didn't become a monster. I must remember to never put an ounce of trust in The Dark and its false promises. To vanquish The Dark. one must rely on the light within and possess an iron will.

Full-System Inspection Log Before Battle Day Maintenance Item: Iron Squirrel Guardian Statue

Maintenance Details: Testing the statue's enemy identification function, target-locking speed, and tracking of moving targets.

Maintenance Results:

After incorporating the latest Whim mechanism, the Iron Squirrle's gaze has finally reached the desired accuracy.

The outer shell will undergo final reinforcement before dawn. The objective is that even if the last Iron Squirrel disappears from Miraland, the Iron Squirrels Statue will remain forever, guarding the swordsmith.

As for the flaw of being unable to distinguish between friend and foe, that can only be addressed after the war, with Captain Kuroda finding a solution. Fortunately, our Faewish Knights are well-trained and can nimbly avoid this issue. As for the forces of The Dark, they will surely suffer heavy causalities!

New Member's Diary Today marks my first day with the Paladins. Although the Esselings have been causing chaos everywhere lately, and my parents are a bit concerned that, as a rookie, I might not be up to the challenge, all I feel is excitement! After all, my captain is none other than the legendary Kuroda. the Faewish Sprite stylist I've admired since the day I first woke! He's just as the rumors say-- powerful and with a sharp temper -- but without a doubt, a fantastic captain. When Chigda and I reported in, he got punished for not wearing the uniform and had to fly fifty laps. But I accidentally saw something--I caught a glimpse of Captain Kuroda looking grumpy, and secretly handing him a massive Delicious Wishing Orb.

Today, the captain took us to meet the commander--the renowned Knight Huerta! Her armor gleamed like the sun, and when the light hit my head, I could only stand there staring in aw. Dad, mom, I've been chosen! Knight Huerta believes that after a bit more training, I'll be ready to become a vanguard soldier and face the Esselings head-on! And every vanguard soldier, even reserves like me, gets to wear Faewish Sprite-sized armor, crafted by Knight Huerta herself. I heard she has two entire cabinets filled with collectibles just our size, all sewn together by her own hands, stitch by stitch. So, making armor like this for us will be a walk in the park for her! With a commander like her, I feel completely at ease. Whether it's the Desperate Vines or the Dark, I'm ready to charge forward with all the courage I can muster!

Note from an Unknown Faewish Sprite Captain Kuroda would absolutely never do such a thing. He has always been the most upright and devout. How could he possibly steal the sacred relics left behind by the The Wishing One?

Although I've been retired for many years due to being injured, and no longer spend my days side by side with the captain, we fought together for so long that I know him very well, and I know for sure that he would never change.

Chigda refused to listen to my defense. Well, it makes sense. After all, he's the one who benefits the most from it. Becoming the new Wish Master… he's always been very ambitious.

I never imagined that the next time I would see the captain, it would be under such circumstances. To come up with such a vile ritual, and using children as bait--I fear the future Wish Master may commit even more outrageous acts.

In the vast Wishing Woods, only the Swordsmith Ruins still hold the captain's presence. Sacred Knight, if you witness this unjust tragedy, please cast down your light and dispel the darkness that lingers here.

Thoughts on the Unknown

This is… new.

Albedo paces around the bizarre rift that had formed, each angle a new look into… somewhere. Somewhere he had not seen before. Or… not that he could recall, anyhow.

It was new. He had done endless research, of countless varieties but… each experiment had its place. A place he understood.

This? This was out of his expertise - but also, not out of his learning yet - not likely out of understanding, at least.

Each glimpse promises a shimmering glimpse… a reflection - a refraction? He could not tell.

It… makes him feel somewhat melancholic. He could paint this - this… aberration of the world, cut open and laid bare to… whatever laid beyond, but he didn’t know if it would last long enough.

Why it had formulated here, of all places, was also a question Albedo desired an answer to. His research camp was hardly a place of note, save for anyone but him and Sucrose, so this placement could have been for any sort of reason. Mere chance, some form of divine willing for him alone… he couldn’t possibly know. But what he did know was that this was something he could not ignore.

“...”

A snowflake falls, twirling, into the gaping maw of… everythingness and nothingness, before disappearing, fizzled out, robbed of whatever form of snow it would take as a collective, trekking into infinity on its own.

…The snowflake was like him, in a way. Cut away from most of society. Though he was by choice, not the happenstance that brought the snowflake through the aether. And unlike the snowflake, which would likely wither and melt away wherever it ended… he thrived in this way, separated. It let him focus on his works, it let him save energy for his experiments (or cleaning after whatever rubble Klee left behind,) and let him work on his final assignment. He… supposed it would be better if he had his Master back, that was the goal, but… also, his goal was to do this alone, to prove it to her. She claimed she had nothing left to teach him. He could do this alone - and, well, with his assistant. His life as it was now was good - to achieve his goal, he would always aspire, but… this was not as bad as it could be.

“...Hmm.”

The rift pulsates, pulling his attention, before lulling him back into melancholic thought.

It reminded him of a simpler past - before he was curious, before he studied, when it was him and his master, simply braving dungeons, and coming back out… before the world became so much more open. So much more for him to prove.

It had never been an easy past. But it made him strong. He may not have the same physical potency as others, but his strengths came in his whole self, body and mind. He had to be strong - she would never have let him stay, should he fail. He was made to be who he was, not by some genetic chance. Made.

And working as he did now only honed it. His blade was rarely tested as much, sure, but his mind was doubly sharp for it. He had honed alchemical skills that would put any other alive to shame. And, yet… he still was not at her level yet. Nor at the level to accomplish his last assignment.

“Perhaps I should test…”

His hand buries into the snow-caked soil beneath him, and the floral construct he had called on for a long, long time now came into being, a small distance from the rift. The central crystalline structure reflects the impossible shapes of the rift.

A small burst of Geo energy pulsates from within, and, like the snowflake, is pulled in, from the cusp of something, into nothing.

“Understood. Hmm…”

He quickly aims to dissipate the lotus, eyes drawn to the rift once more…

Each glimpse gave him a new cause to pause, to think. He really should draw it, if it lasts long enough…

Perhaps that would elicit the same effect. Would make it easier to focus on his research, if his thoughts would be left behind as such.

“...”

His thoughts wander, once more, as he stares into each fragment of… something, on the other side.

Would his art be all that he was known for? Albedo was unlikely to die - at least so far, his body had yet to falter, this far on. But his alchemical work was far from a field that many would recall, were his form to eventually waver. Sure, those in the field would recall it, study it in their own right, like he did those from even before his time…

But, if he could imagine, his art would be his legacy, more than his main work. That… was somewhat disappointing to think about, so Albedo refocuses himself.

He still needed to figure out what this even…

Wait.

“No!”

The rift begins to shrink, at a steady, constant pace. He couldn’t risk it left to become nothing, not when there was so much potential to it!

On an instinctual action, he sticks an arm within - his non-dominant one, in case it proved to sever it. Thankfully, the rift halted its state…

And began to grow once more. To its former size, then, even further. It nearly overtakes his arm in its entirety, before…

The world feels to draw far, then close again, then, in a quick barrage on his senses, sights and sounds he has never witnessed, tastes and smells unlike any before… he slowly comes to.

The aesthetic in Mortal Shells is really really good. The entire game is basically set in this cursed forest, within which are 3 dungeons, each dedicated to the worship of one of the Revered.

The fire Dungeon looks normal at first, but it features wide, sweeping halls, with ornamentation and torture apparatuses hanging from the ceiling and tucked into the corners. Fire flickers behind the gaps in the walls. Iron Maidens are leant against random walls, and every corrided is stalked by the burn-scarred Devout who worship the flame.

The further in you get, the more religious and mysterious it appears. Large pits with strange decorative outjuts. Bright light shining down from some impossible source, through a hole in the ceiling. Beds of coals in deep pits around the edges of rooms, turning every path into a balancing act.

The final sanctum, filled with lava flowing down a garguntuan statue of the Revered.

The ice Dungeon starts off like any old Dark Souls catacomb. with little shelves in the walls and winding tunnels, stalked by the undead.

As you get deeper, it gets colder. Ice appears, and the caverns begin to open up. In the central chamber, countless dizzying refractons of brilliant light glitter through the coear blue ice from which the dungeon is hewn. Countless branching tunnels intersect with the grand chamber, yet they all lead right back to where they started. You head ever downwards, fighting through the staggering bodies of lacerated and frostbitten penitents, their flesh studded with self-inflicted wounds and impaled by dozens of sharp blades.

At last, you reach the Martyr's chamber, and behold countless mausoleums and tombs stacked atop each, to dizzying heights. Innumerable bodies lay at rest here, and the very end of the cavern, a great shining blue ice sculpture of the Immaculate, to whom the cult pays their worship.

The last dungeon is the strangest. It makes no pretense of sense or order; from the outset you approach a mysterious black monolith, surrounded by strange flat stones, arranged as toppled dominos. Entering the monument through a narrow path set above an unfathomably deep pit, you find yourself in a room that could not possibly fit inside the exterior. As you walk forwards, you come across a great open space; a courtyard bordered by walls taller and grander than anything you have ever seen before, all of featureless black stone. Great pits mar the floor, and the slabs of obsidianite stone from which this strange place is constructed jut out at random, half toppled or forming ramps to nowhere.

The Seat of Infinity is so large as to require teleporters to traverse, unlike any other location in the game. It is, to be frank, some Destiny 2 bullshit, like the Pyramid ships, or any location associated with Darkness.

You solve puzzles, and mount the grand stairs up to the tower. You ascend that tower, formed of crumbled, featureless stone, and become aware of the fact that the vast majority of this place is hovering implausibly over the void, blocks of utterly still stone cascading off into thin air.

You come across the final sanctum, and find the kest vestiges of sanity have been left long behind. No floor or walls or ceiling are here, merely obsidian platforms suspended in the sky, lit by a brilliant, unceasing golden light. Vast ribbons of cloth manifest through the mist and twist in spirals towards the construct at the end of this improvised obstacle course; a vast library, of countless divine (mad) revelations incribed on great tablets of stone.

So yeah, I think this game looks pretty good.

what is your favourite thing about each of your pcs and why do you enjoy playing them?

Ooh get ready for a hefty reply. I'm gonna cap the list start at where I really got back into dnd, since my characters before this point weren't as deep. Shoutout to Dax Ironbeard, Finnan Tealeaf, and Ling Fai though (yeah I know Ling Fai is one of my npcs but I just really like the name). And as fun and silly as one shot characters can be (lookin at you Klutzy and Waldo and Witchhunter Recruit Binglebangle) they aren't really developed enough to make the list. But here goes!

Oogway: a tortle knowledge cleric from @a-very-angry-woodchuck's Dungeoneers campaign. I liked how level-headed he was, being more interested in exploring than fighting. He made me fall in love with support roles in combat as well.

Gundor of Moonfell, AKA Gary: a human blood hunter/ranger and my second character from @a-very-angry-woodchuck's Dungeoneers campaign. He was a delightfully traumatized shit disturber, and I loved how deep his backstory lore went. I never really realized you could get that into a character up until here. (If only I could have played him for more than 3 sessions... Womp womp)

Nicky Nickson: a fixer from @quantemphys's Cyberpunk Red crew. It was really fun to have such strong ties to an NPC, in this case the pop star Sunny Sun Lee, and seeing that relationship develop.

Rocky Gallagher: a raccoonfolk divine soul sorcerer from @quantemphys's Idle Creek campaign. My favourite thing about him was how interwoven he was into the whole big conspiracy plot of the campaign (even getting his sorcerer powers as a result), while staying pretty clueless about it. Having a hint of metaknowledge while playing a less smart character was really really fun. Also his arc from sad janitor living in a soap house to town mayor is maybe my favourite tied up development of any of my characters thus far.

Spike Dynamo, AKA Death Wurm: a solo from @quantemphys's Cyberpunk Red crew. I LOVE the energy he brings to the table: nonchalant, serious, can and will shut down shenanigans, but his intensity is like no one else I've played. He's also so damn good at what he does, and having the vigilante alias is just so cool!! Highlight was almost killing AV in the very first session, though very excited to see how his backstory elements are gonna play out :)))

Jasper Taliesin: a spider from @a-very-angry-woodchuck's Blades in the Dark campaign. My bastard son, my lil manipulator, my pride and joy. I love him for many reasons, but I think the core is how much I enjoy creative solutions. He's always prepared for a problem, is cunning and fast-talking enough to get out of trouble, and knows how to pull a hell of a scam to get what he wants. I'm only limited by what I can come up with, which is especially fun when used to set up your allies. I also liked that his backstory was simple, letting me really discover him, with his actions in the game itself having the greatest impact. Oh and betraying the crew to secure a long-term win was so exciting to play out. He's so close to being a villain with his ends-justify-the-means, but still morally good somehow. Still haven't gotten over his death, even though he PLANNED IT IN ADVANCE GODDAMN

Draco Acid Bloodhowl Infinity: a duergar necromancer from @quantemphys's Aldermoore campaign. We have not seen much from you, but you were still delightful! Playing an angsty character was a challenge but very fun. I also enjoyed being a very flawed character, both selfish and temperamental. Hope to see more of him eventually!

Crazy Moe: a leech from @a-very-angry-woodchuck's Blades in the Dark campaign. If you want chaos, havoc, and destruction, look no further. Moe is as reckless as they come, and really just wants to blow shit up. I love playing him because he feels like a force of nature, and seeing how much damage can be done in just one guest appearance is just *chef's kiss*

Cadence Sarabande: a lurk from @a-very-angry-woodchuck's Blades in the Dark campaign. She's been a really interesting character to play between her lore and her being a 15 year old assassin, but I think the real selling point is her demeanor. So optimistic, so sassy, so naive. I love her dynamics with the rest of the party and the inevitable disagreements that arise from all her opinions. Also the accent is a lot of fun lol

Captain Jaq Bram: a sea dragonborn, leviathan hunter ranger from @lilmissrandom's unnamed campaign. While I've only gotten the joy of playing him for a few sessions, I get to live out my grizzled sea captain fantasy. He's incredibly surly, and he's going very much insane, but still has a soft spot for his crew. I love how obsessive he is toward exclusively hunting sea monsters, and getting to use a custom subclass to really portray that! Confrontations with the party over his alleged misogyny have also been really fun to play out, and I'm super excited to watch his nuances and trauma get investigated.

I'd also like to shout out Voltergeist and Fronk Shoetwos, a pair of very recent creations that I hope will slam dunk their way into my heart.

I was heavily inspired by @creepercraftguy's headcanons on voices for the Danganronpa Another cast so I caved and did my own as well. Who is the Sexiest Fictional Podcast Character? 2024 Edition.

Round 2 saw the introduction of the unscripted characters, as well as first true departures of sixteen scripted characters. Sixteen more scripted characters left the running in Round 2.5. With 15,474 votes across 48 polls in Round 2 and 2,359 votes over 16 polls in Round 2.5, we had some surprises! Lup, Moonshine Cybin, Indrid Cold, and Jonas Spahr all lost their very first polls, despite Lup making it to the quarter finals and Moonshine Cybin making it to the semi-finals last year (both lost to Non-Night Vale Champion Glenn Close), Jonas Spahr and Moonshine Cybin both being submitted twice, and Indrid Cold beating a number of characters in the preliminaries. Meanwhile Kayne, who had the most submissions this year at 8, lost two polls in a row and is now out of the tournament for good. Additionally, a number of contests were decided by single-digit numbers of votes.

Round 3 will be delayed slightly as I undertake a 4000 mile roadtrip to visit friends, family, and of course beloved Tumblr mutuals. Rest assured I will not forget about this tournament.
