• Azul didn't want to be cruel, no, that would be so insulting! An honor student like him? Cheat and blackmail? Haha! Oh, like aren't you any different. He hated you. No... He loathed even mentioning you.
• How could someone in his dorm, who's in lower status, be this much of a threat to him? You are the epitome of a behaved and well-mannered model student. Not only that, you have grades and intelligence far higher than anyone in class. Possibly surpassing Azul's. Now that is what's bothering him.
• The way you don't even need time to study about a certain subject for you already memorized the contents beforehand. The way you made zero effort during the physical activities in class for you already have learned sports. The way you just stood there quietly and minding your own business was enough for teachers to call you a model student... Azul despised that. He despised you.

BadGenius! Yuu: "I guess it can't be helped. Sorry for the misunderstanding, guys."

• The test was going to be hard, you knew it. All you did was help a classmate with their homework in exchange for money. When they finally understand the material, they gave you a suggestion – to start your own business. That business specifically involved memorizing answers in a much more simpler way. In fact, you don't need to memorize all of them, they just wait and you'll provide it. Even during the test, under watchful eyes.
• The Ramshackle Ghosts were kind enough to let you stay in the rundown dormitory. They also did you a favor of bringing an old unused piano, but it still works despite the harsh conditions. Your friends wondered why you brought them here to teach them piano lessons late at night instead of studying for the exam tomorrow. The students- or rather clients you have gathered, have asked you for tons of help that you can't teach all of them at the same time. So you just came up with an alternative.
BadGenius! Yuu: "Look, see this piano? I'll make small sequences of a song and you'll have to memorize all of it. At least four of them since the other half of the test is in multiple choice form."
Deuce: "......."
Ace: "....Hah?"
Grim: "Fnyagh... I thought you said there won't be any memorizing!"
BadGenius! Yuu: "There won't be any memorizing. Just familiarize the sounds. We will be given one hour to finish the test, yes? And we can't finish it at the same time. So I came up with a solution... The first half of the test paper will contain enumeration, identification, and a few equations. You will have to memorize only the first half of the test... The other half of the test paper will contain multiple choice questions, which means you'll be choosing which is the right answer."
• The students listened intently to your plan, some were yawning from how long your explanation is. You intend to wrap this up quickly so that all of you will at least have a decent amount of rest.
BadGenius! Yuu: "If you're either done answering the first half or not, wait until the long arm of the clock hits twelve. I'll automatically provide answers for you in the other half of the paper to write down during the test. Do not to tilt or turn your head in my direction. Just carefully listen to the tapping of my fingers on the desk. Memorize the sound sequence like the one I will play on this piano. And then identify which one is A, B, C, or D."
Random Octavinelle Student: "Ohh! I think I get it now 😮!"
Random Scarabia Student: "This is waaay more easier than signing a contract with Azul 😯!"
Random Pomefiore Student: "What if we'll get caught looking though 😰?"
Random Savanaclaw Student: "They just told you, DO NOT LOOK, JUST LISTEN. You're such an airhead šŸ˜‘."

BadGenius! Yuu: "They won't. I've tried it before on the classroom desks. Each desk give a clear sound. I've also cut the tips of of my fingernails to adjust the sound of the tapping. Here's an example..."
• You made yourself comfortable on a chair and thought of a simple song to play on the piano keys. You decided to play Für Elise by Beethoven and then tapped your fingers on the wood for comparison. Not a lot of people know about the song so it should be safe if the teacher doesn't recognize it.
BadGenius! Yuu: "The highest pitch is A.... This one is B.... This is C..... And lastly, the lowest pitch is D....."
• The students listened and observed the simple sequences. Their eyes lit up by how easy the sounds can be memorized. Soon, they were able to recognize each of them with their eyes closed. However, Grim and ADeuce were struggling.
BadGenius! Yuu: "Alright, now that you've familiarized the sequences, let's discuss the seating arrangements."
Deuce: "Huh?! There's more?!"
BadGenius! Yuu: "Yes. Everyone's level of hearing varies from person to person depending on the distance. If we can't hear the sounds correctly in case another student coughs or sneezes, we'll write the wrong answers."
Deuce: "U-Umm... I guess that makes sense."
BadGenius! Yuu: "There's also a drawback, we're gonna have to wake up early to occupy the seats before the others. Okay, now everybody grab your chairs. We'll start with... You. Since you're a beastman, your hearing is better."
Random Savanaclaw Student: "Naturally 😌."
BadGenius! Yuu: "So you'll be a bit farther from me tooo... There.... And you..."
Random Pomefiore Student: "Eh... Me 😧?"
BadGenius! Yuu: "Yes, you. You didn't hear me when I said not to turn or tilt your head during the exam, so obviously you'll be sitting near me.... Riiight here."
• As you begin placing everyone to their order of seating arrangements accordingly with everyone finally agreeing with you, the ADeuce and Grim were completely having trouble to understand and were left behind. They exited the lounge and went outside.
Ace: "... Did you get any of that?"
Deuce: "Yeah... no."
Grim: "Fnyagh... I thought this was gonna be easy."
Deuce: "It is easy. Just memorize the sounds. There's only four of them!"
Ace: "They'll only provide HALF of the test. We still have to do the other half on our own."
Deuce: "Hey, it's the least we could do. They've made the effort to arrange all of this so we might as well lift ourselves up."
Grim: "Great. I thought there wouldn't be any familiarizing cuz I thought they'll give the answers for the entire thing, not half of it! Fnyagh... It's too hard!"
Deuce: "I think they said something about our answers in the first half combined with the memorized other will equal to a passing score."
Ace: "If we can get it right! We don't have enough time to memorize the answers in the first half!"
Deuce: "Why don't we stop complaining and at least try--"

Deuce: "H-HUH?! GUYS, DID YOU SEE THAT?!"
Grim: "See what?"
Ace: "How can you even see anything? It's dark out here."
Deuce: "I could've sworn...!"
• Before Deuce can finish his sentence, you called out to them to get inside so you can properly seat them. Ace and Grim walked back with Deuce following behind. The boy glanced outside last time and went in the dorm. He could've swore he saw a flicker of something shiny...

Jade: "That was close one."
Floyd: "Eh~ so little Shrimpy wanna play games, huh Jade?"
Jade: "It seems so. I think it's time to report back to Azul, wouldn't you say?"
Floyd: "Yeah~ I'm gettin' bored."
• Unknowing to the students inside, a certain pair of eels cackled quietly, they've come to enjoy observing you but sadly this espionage has to end. Satisfied that they've gathered enough evidence, they shut the video camera, its lens shining in the dark, and left.

• Azul was in a spiral. Getting paranoid by the minute, constantly overthinking things. Counting the contracts again and again did not help at all. But at the same time, he's getting impatient. Azul has to admit, he's come to like you and admires how your efforts made you come this far, but he likes the title of honor student more.
Floyd: "Azuuuul~ we're baaaack~!!"
Jade: "We're back."
Azul: "Good. Now where is it?"
Jade: "Oya? Is that how you thank us right after doing the work for you?"
Azul: "It doesn't matter now give it."
Floyd: "uughh, fiiine~!"
Jade: "How selfish of you, Azul 😊."
Floyd: "Yeah, how selfish~"
Azul: "Shut it."
• Jade handed over the video camera to Azul. The man snatched it and sat down. He rewind the footage from the day he ordered the Tweels to spy on you to the night before the exam. Jade and Floyd watched as a growing smile plastered itself on Azul's face. After the video ends, he let out a hysterical laugh. The twins grinned to themselves. Oh, this is going to be fun, they think.
Azul: "...ha... haha.... AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! FINALLY! NOW I'LL GET RID OF THEM ONCE AND FOR ALL!!! AHAHAHAHA!! EVERYTHING. WILL. BE. MINE!!!"
• Azul never should have given you that advice in the first place. Never in a thousand years did he think you would act that fast and now you've become a hindrance to his plans. It was a miscalculation, a big one. And he'll stop at nothing to bring you down. He needs to get rid of you before all of his own efforts go down the drain.
• Now what shall we do about those friends of yours, hm? How unfair of you to leave them out of your studies. Why don't he give them a hand?

The bourgeois rhetoric attempts to conceal the real culprit that hinders the utilization of this immense technological potential in the interest of social prosperity. Bourgeois analyses present the development of technology either as a danger or as a miraculous solution to our problems.
Both the demonization of technology and the utopian, deterministic expectation of social prosperity that will supposedly result automatically from technological progress, are two sides of the same unhistorical and erroneous theoretical approach.
The main question is who and for whose interests determines the orientation, development and utilization of new technologies. Behind AI lie the choices of human intelligence and the particular class interests it serves.

Similarly, regardless of whether we examine the era of the steam engine or the age of the intelligent robot, technology under capitalism was, is and will be a means of producing surplus value and a means of control and repression in the hands of capital’s power. Marx had also documented the role of machines in increasing the productivity of labour, making commodities cheaper and increasing the degree of exploitation. He had already highlighted in his work Grundrisse that the development of fixed capital indicates to what degree general social knowledge has become a direct force of production. Capital determines not only the use of technology but also the orientation and priorities of its development always driven by profit.

Contrary to bourgeois propaganda, this technological development sharpens the contradictions of the capitalist mode of production and constitutes the continuous attack of bourgeois policy on workers’ rights a one-way street.
As we know from Marxist political economy, the higher the level of technical development of production, the higher the ratio of the means of production to labour power in the production process, the higher the technical and organic composition of capital, the greater the tendency for the rate of profit to fall. We must not forget that the source of exploitation, the source of surplus value and capitalist profit is the unpaid labour time of the wage-workers, the unpaid labour over and above the value of their labour power, which is appropriated by the capitalist. Only living labour power, not robots, creates surplus value.

Capital takes advantage of the new technological possibilities which allow it to increase in practice the daily working time, irrespective of the time that workers spend in their workplace and the legal working hours, and at the same time to intensify labour. It exploits the surge in unemployment to generalize flexible labour relations.

A look at the current EU practice is enough to enlighten us. The EU staffs claim to have enshrined a European Area of Freedom, Security and Justice. What is happening in practice? In the name of security and counter-terrorism, they have legally enshrined the full digital profiling and processing of our personal data as well as preventive surveillance and intervention.
The AI act’s regulations on artificial intelligence are similar. The real rules of the new framework are in fact the exceptions and the downplaying of dangers.
In the name of public safety and counter-terrorism, biometric identification such as the analysis of our voice and our movement in public places are an exception to the rule. France has already become the first EU Member State with legislation allowing the use of biometric monitoring in public places in the name of safeguarding the security of the Olympic Games.
In the name of entrepreneurship, the workplaces in companies and factories are exempt from the bans.

I tend not to do a whole lot with the high ranking or well known nazis, except Heydrich.
However, I figured I would do Ernst Kaltenbrunner because I don't see a whole lot of him on Tumblr.
Kaltenbrunner, was a coward and a dedicated nazi. I also believe he wasn't the brightest of bulbs.
Anyway, enough of that. Let's get on to this bag.
Ernst Kaltenbrunner was an Austrian, high-ranking SS official during the Nazi era, and major perpetrator of the Holocaust. After the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich in 1942, and a brief period under Heinrich Himmler, Kaltenbrunner was the third Chief of the Reich Security Main Office (RSHA), which included the offices of Gestapo, Kripo and SD, from January 1943 until the end of World War II in Europe.
Kaltenbrunner joined the Nazi Party in 1930 and the SS in 1931, and by 1935 he was considered a leader of the Austrian SS. In 1938, he assisted in the Anschluss and was given command of the SS and police force in Austria. In January 1943, Kaltenbrunner was appointed chief of the RSHA, succeeding Reinhard Heydrich, who was assassinated in May 1942.
A committed antisemite, Kaltenbrunner played a pivotal role in orchestrating the Holocaust and Nazi genocide intensified under his leadership. He oversaw the coordination of security and law enforcement agencies involved in widespread extermination, the suppression of resistance movements in occupied territories, extensive arrests, deportations, and executions. He was the highest-ranking member of the SS to face trial (Himmler having died of suicide in May 1945) at the Nuremberg trials, where he was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Kaltenbrunner was sentenced to death, and was executed by hanging on 16 October 1946.
It was said that even Himmler feared him, as Kaltenbrunner was an intimidating figure with 1.94m (6'4½") in height, facial scars, and volatile temper. Kaltenbrunner was also a longtime friend of Otto Skorzeny and recommended him for many secret missions, allowing Skorzeny to become one of Hitler's favourite agents.
Kaltenbrunner also allegedly headed Operation Long Jump, an alleged plan to assassinate Stalin, Churchill, and Roosevelt in Tehran in 1943.
However, what made him more interesting was after WWII.
After a standoff and being arrested by US troops, Kaltenbrunner claimed to be a doctor and offered a false name. However, upon their arrival back to town his last mistress, Countess Gisela von Westarp, and the wife (Iris) of his adjutant Arthur Scheidler chanced to spot the men being led away; the ladies called out to both men and embraced them. This action resulted in their identification and arrest by U.S. troops. Oops?
During the initial stages of the Nuremberg trials, Kaltenbrunner was absent because of two episodes of subarachnoid hemorrhage, which required several weeks of recovery time. After his health improved, the tribunal denied his request for pardon.
When he was released from a military hospital he pleaded not guilty to the charges of the indictment against him. Kaltenbrunner said all decrees and legal documents that bore his signature were "rubber-stamped" and filed by his adjutant(s). He also said Gestapo Chief Heinrich Müller had illegally affixed his signature to numerous documents in question.
I mentioned he was a coward, right? OK, good.
Kaltenbrunner argued in his defence that his position as RSHA chief existed only theoretically and said he was only active in matters of espionage and intelligence. He maintained that Himmler, as his superior, was the person culpable for the atrocities committed during his tenure as chief of the RSHA.
Kaltenbrunner also asserted that he had no knowledge of the Final Solution before 1943 and went on to claim that he protested against the ill-treatment of the Jews to Himmler and Hitler. Further denials from Kaltenbrunner included statements that he knew nothing of the Commissar Order and that he never visited Mauthausen concentration camp, despite documentation of his visit. At one point, Kaltenbrunner went so far as to avow that he was responsible for bringing the Final Solution to an end. In response to his denials, people in the courtroom laughed.
There are pictures of him at one or more of the camps, for the record.
Kaltenbrunner was executed on 16 October 1946, around 1:15 am, in Nuremberg. His body, like those of the other nine executed men and that of Hermann Gƶring, was cremated at the Eastern Cemetery in Munich and the ashes were scattered in a tributary of the River Isa.
There are a few changing stories about the man, such as the facial scars. I've seen it reported as scars from mensur fencing and others saying it was from a car accident. There is also the combination of the two. Also, that he said it was from fencing but that was a lie and they were from a car accident. Who knows. Like with most history from the 20th century and earlier, there is always a certain part that is somewhat suspect.
You can always tell how committed a person is to their "religion" by how well they stand up for it in the face of defeat. Cowards.

Solution Blade A sword that can directly affect the Mystery Labyrinth. A Solution Key can be set onto it.
Q A materialization of a mystery and building block of the Mystery Labyrinth. It possesses no intelligence.
Spiritism Melami's Forte. One's own body is used as a medium to summon the soul of a deceased person.
However, Melami must wear the clothes the deceased wore in life, meaning the ability is unusable if there's a sizing mismatch.

Shin Sekai Yori and the Fear of the Unknown
Shin Sekai Yori by A-1 Pictures (2012 – 2013) was the latest feature in my anime exploration. The visuals of the show were excellent, especially the way that the animators played with light. Scenes set at dusk with dynamic skies and silhouetted features captured the look, but more importantly the feel of twilight. Scenes at night and in caves captured the way that space closes in on you when light wanes adding drama and suspense to the story.

Shin Sekai Yori is more than just pretty pictures. The series comments insightfully on deep issues including class dynamics, power and what it means to be human. Another prominent theme addressed in the series is fear – specifically fear of the unknown. There are some dangers that are easy to understand. Tigers are deadly, driving above the speed limit increases risk and certain places at certain times have higher risk for crime. However, when violence erupts in places, times and at the hands of those we don’t expect primal fears activate as society tires to understand why something so horrible could happen.
The anxieties surrounding unexplainable violence in real life Japan are mirrored in Shin Sekai Yori. Episode 4 reveals that the start of the disruption in social order after people were discovering to use their cantus was sparked by ā€œBoy Aā€, a young child who went on a killing spree, breaking into homes and committing brutal crimes. This a reference to the crimes committed by Shōnen A, a young murderer in actual Japan in the late 1990’s (Arai, 2000). Both events shook society and in the universe of Shin Sekai Yori strong action was taken eventually culminating genetically modifying humanity to have an automatic physical response that prevents them from harming others.
Possibly more terrifying than unexpected violence is when the actions that we take to control the situation are not completely effective. In Shin Sekai Yori, some children, known as Fiends, are immune to their genetically imposed killing instincts. SSY’s main character Saki learns the truth about Fiends when she is told the story of a young boy who is obsessed with dark ideas. One day the boy goes on a massacre. His lack of restraint coupled with the rest of societies physical limitation from harming him is a worst case scenario of an out of control threat. Eventually the killer is defeated, but even stronger measures are taken to attempt to eliminate the chances that someone will develop into a Fiend. Anyone even remotely displaying troublesome traits will be eliminated. It mostly works, but the show struggles with the idea of the cost of these measures. How many innocent lives are lost in the pursuit of public safety? What is the acceptable margin of error when trying to prevent a catastrophe?

This dilhemma exists in the real world too. One example is how artificial intelligence and machine vision are already being used to identify possible school shooters. Max Zahn’s ABC News article Can Artificial Intelligence Help Stop Mass Shootings? discusses the use and reaction to these types of systems. Fortunately a key difference exists between these systems and the pre-emptive action taken by society in SSY. The systems being used today only flag actions as a response to an attack already happening. The article mentions that some are concerned about innocent people being flagged as threats. Someone’s life being tainted by a false identification is a valid concern. However, the problem isn’t that the data is being collected or analyzed in an automated way, it’s society’s reaction to the data that is collected. Instead of using the surveillance data to punish, it should be used to intervene and help people before the turn to violence. The solution isn’t punishing an individual, it’s creating systemic fixes.
