How to Choose Quality Cell Phone Parts for Repairs: Guide for Repair Shops
This guide covers key parts from OLED screens to charging ports — with practical tips for sourcing dependable inventory for brands like Apple, Samsung, Moto, LG, Google, Microsoft, OnePlus, and more.
OLED Screens: Prioritize Touch Sensitivity and Display Accuracy
Display replacements are high-frequency, high-stakes repairs. Poor screens can result in ghost touches, low brightness, or inaccurate color rendering. Ensure you’re sourcing OLED screens compatible with flagship models from Apple (iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14 series), Samsung Galaxy models, and Google Pixel phones.
Look for parts that offer consistent color calibration, strong adhesive kits, and durable flex cables — features that simplify installation and deliver premium screen performance.
Batteries: Prioritize Safety and Capacity Consistency
A failing battery is one of the most common issues customers report. Replacement units should include short-circuit protection, consistent capacity, and be pre-tested for charge cycles. Look for batteries designed specifically for iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Moto G Series, LG ThinQ, Google Pixel, and OnePlus devices.
Choosing the right battery improves both safety and client satisfaction.
Cameras: Ensure Clarity and Compatibility
Camera modules must match OEM specs for image processing and autofocus performance. Blurry images or slow focus can lead to unhappy returns. Ensure your cameras are compatible with devices such as iPhone 12 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S22, Google Pixel 7, and more.
Check for specifications such as lens quality, sensor calibration, and stabilization support.
Charging Ports: Focus on Long-Term Durability
A faulty charging port is disruptive and frustrating for users. Opt for charging ports that include reinforced contact pins and precision solder points. Compatibility across Apple Lightning, USB-C (Samsung, OnePlus, Pixel), and Micro-USB (Moto, LG) is essential.
These ports should meet daily wear demands and pass electrical performance standards.
Back Glass Panels: Aesthetics Meet Functionality
Back glass replacements are vital for structural integrity and resale value. Poor quality panels lead to poor adhesion and misalignment. Prioritize models with pre-applied adhesive and laser-precision cutouts for Apple, Samsung, Google, Microsoft Surface Duo, and others.
A stocked inventory of cosmetic parts for major brands will speed up repairs and boost revenue.
Supplier Support: Returns, Shipping & Responsiveness
Even the best parts may need replacements. Make sure your wholesale supplier offers:
Same-day or next-day shipping
Hassle-free returns
Real-time support via email or phone
This is especially critical for bulk orders of wholesale phone parts serving a multi-brand repair workflow.
Build Repair Confidence with the Right Supplier
Success in mobile repair hinges on reliability — both in workmanship and parts quality. From iPhone screens to OnePlus batteries, every component you use reinforces your brand’s credibility. Working with a trusted wholesale supplier lets you stock tested, compatible parts for all major brands — boosting service quality and operational speed.

I've got a Samsung A13 (released 2022) and use Google Pay every day. All you have to do is press the indicator next to "NFC and contactless payments" to turn the function on or off. It also has a 50mp front camera. The iPhone 11 (released 2019) has a 12mp front camera.
Maybe you got the model number of the Samsung confused cause it's actually a really nice phone? Just a bit big with a 6.4 inch screen.
maybe I do have it confused because hers def doesn’t have a contactless payment option but I’m not a Samsung person. I did Google it that specific evening when we were out and the bar we’d chosen turned out to be cashless and she was like “oh shit!!!” and I was like “why don’t you just use Google Pay?” and she was like “I don’t have that” and I did look it up then because I thought maybe it could be set up - if not there and then like in life obviously as I say most people need that function??? - and it said her phone can’t do that so then I said “that’s fine I’ve got this” because as I did say she paid me back immediately like she isn’t broke she just only took cash and her (very useless) phone and the camera she always takes lol out with her. I may be wrong on the model number but I’m not gonna text her to check because that’s a weird thing to out of the blue ask someone yk? 😂👌🏼
PS I just looked at Joe’s photo dump and that’s not an 11, it’s an 11 Pro. That actually is much better in the 14. The 14 Pro can do a ton of shit that the 11 Pro cannot but I think because the jump from the regular models (which are what we, as in my partner and I, have) to the Pros are generally quite big actually like mine has two back cameras and the Pros have 3. That said, the differences are also either camera related (11 Pro to 11 is a jump but 11 Pro to 14 Pro is a leap) which again like unless it makes you happy or is your job isn’t really nb, an always on display (which idk that I’d want tbh but when I eventually upgrade when this one dies its natural death or I get over it I’ll have to learn to live with), it’s a lot faster (which again is cool if you work from it or if it makes you happy but how fast do you need your phone to be like realistically?), it has a thing called Dynamic Island which again idk that I need but I’ll one day have to live with lol and w/e, and it is compatible with a whole range of other thingies like wireless chargers (that one is very cool - my partner’s iPad has that and it’s a dope function. Not enough for me to go buy a new phone but I do like the wireless charging idea). It also has a better screen protective thingie but that doesn’t seem useful to me because I’d still stick another one over anyway because I drop my phone a lot and sure I belieb this one is better but I don’t trust wasted Nat and a phone with no screen protector on it. Like I’m pretty confident I’d still be able to fuck it up and then I’d rather get a new stick on one for $20 max like the fanciest ones available than go back to the istore to replace the whole ass screen (which I have had to do before on previous phones lol even with screen protectors but this 11 has lasted since I think 2020 or 2021 albeit through several covers and screen protectors).

DJI Osmo Mobile 3 review

DJI is popularly known as a manufacturer of drones and handheld stabilizers for cameras. Even though it recently entered the field of action cameras with the Osmo Action, its strengths remain in the production of high-quality gimbals for smartphones and cameras. The most recent launch was Osmo Mobile 3, the handheld stabilizer for 3rd generation smartphones. This 3-axis gimbal is a great tool for content creation, especially if your phone doesn't have the best electronic or optical stabilization. The Osmo Mobile 3 gets some nice improvements over its predecessor. It is now foldable to improve mobility. has better ergonomics; and has new shortcuts and gestures. We've been using the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 for about a week now, and here's what we think of it.
DJI Osmo Mobile 3 design and features
The Osmo Mobile 3 is available in India as a standalone device for Rs. 8,999 or as a "combo" for Rs. 10,999, which includes a hard carrying case and an Osmo Grip tripod. The latter does not add extra height to the gimbal, but has foldable feet so that when closed, it can be used as an extended handle or as a normal tripod. The Osmo Mobile 3 weighs only 405 g and is therefore quite light. The handle and most parts of the gimbal itself are made of plastic, but the quality is very good. The handle is covered with plenty of rubber to additionally support the sweaty palms. The arm of the gimbal can now be folded to make it easier to carry. You can even attach a phone to it when folded, which is convenient. With the 3-axis stabilization, you can perform tilting, rolling and swiveling movements while recording. The main buttons are located on the front of the handle. This includes a multi-directional joystick and buttons for recording and switching between the recording modes (& # 39; M & # 39;). There is a zoom control on the left and a USB Type-C port for charging on the right.

The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 has ergonomically placed buttons on the handle The Osmo Mobile 3 also has a full-size USB Type-A port on the handle in case you need to charge your phone while recording. Finally, we have an ergonomically placed release button on the back of the handle that can be used to reset the position of the phone. Depending on the number of clicks, the sport mode can also be activated and the tilt axis locked, and you can switch between the rear and front cameras of your phone. The Osmo Mobile 3 has a standard tripod mount on the bottom, so you can attach it to any tripod for time-lapse photography, or use the included tripod when you buy the combo package. The packaging contains a basic quick guide, a USB-C cable, a wrist strap and a soft storage bag. We received the combination package for review, which also contains the housing and the tripod. The hard shell case is of good quality and stiff enough to provide good protection. We only wish it was big enough to accommodate the tripod.

The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 combo bundle contains a carrying case and the Osmo Grip
DJI Osmo Mobile 3 performance
Before switching on this device, you have to open it, which is very easy thanks to the spring-loaded arm. Thanks to carefully placed grooves and latches, the arms of the gimbal snap into place when folded so that it does not accidentally unfold. The gimbal must be activated before you can insert your phone into the terminal. To do this, you need to download and log in to the DJI Mimo app, which is available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. As soon as you have gone through the setup process, which also checks and downloads all available firmware updates for the gimbal, you can use Osmo Mobile 3. The gimbal automatically tries to center the installed phone. However, you can also manually adjust the position by holding the tilt motor. You can also calibrate the position and angle of the phone using an option in the Mimo app. The Osmo Mobile 3 is compatible with most of today's popular cell phones, but not all functions are available for all cell phones. For example, slow motion videos and 60fps videos in the Mimo app are currently only available on iPhones. 4K recording is not yet available on some Android phones like the Realme X2 Pro (review), but on others like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (review). Even if your phone is not in the list, you can still use all the basic functions of the app. Hopefully we should see better support in future releases. We tested the Osmo Mobile 3 with a variety of mobile phones such as the Redmi Note 8 (test), the Realme X2 Pro Master Edition, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the Apple iPhone 11 Pro. The holder for the phone is also cleverly designed so that it does not come into contact with one of the buttons and you can really center it. We noticed that all of the phones we tested got quite warm after using the Mimo app for a long time and the batteries were quickly discharged as a result. If you are not taking pictures, turn off the screen or put the gimbal into standby to save power for both devices. With Osmo Mobile 3, you can record professional-looking, stabilized videos with little effort. This is particularly useful on phones that don't have electronic stabilization or don't do a good job. With the Redmi Note 8, for example, 4K videos are recorded in good quality without stabilization during the day. The Osmo Mobile 3 fixes this problem and makes an otherwise unusable video clip look like it was recorded with a much more expensive phone. We even tried recording a video while zooming in, which causes blurring even with tiny movements. The gimbal made a big difference even while walking. If you have a high-end phone with optical stabilization, taking photos in low light is still a challenge. A stabilizer for such situations is noticeable in the end result.

The DJI Mimo app offers good functions for recording and controlling the Osmo Mobile 3 In addition to standard photos and videos, the Mimo app also offers other recording modes and functions. You can use it to record professional-looking time-lapse videos in which you can set the path that the gimbal follows for the duration of the time-lapse. Hyperlapse videos are also possible, and we really liked the end results even with a cheap phone like the Redmi Note 8. In story mode, you can easily create short stories. All you have to do is select a template and follow the instructions to record short clips that are then automatically merged with transitions, on-screen text and music. You also have the option of instantly sharing these clips on social platforms. For panoramas, you can choose a 180-degree shot or a wider shot that captures a lot more angles. With the latter, however, the end result didn't always look good, and we occasionally noticed inconsistencies in sewing. In addition, the gimbal of the Osmo Mobile 3 can only be rotated to a limited extent so that you cannot take 360-degree photos or panoramas on it.

A 3x3 panorama that was combined with the Redmi Note 8 by the DJI Mimo app The Osmo Mobile 3 also has ActiveTrack 3.0, which is available via the Mimo app. You can select the object you want to follow through the viewfinder. The gimbal tracks it automatically to make sure it's always in the center of the frame. It worked very well with people, but not so much with fast moving objects. There is a sport mode that can be activated by pressing and holding the shutter button twice. This enables an active tracking of the object in the middle of the frame and increases the speed of the motors so that the gimbal can swivel and tilt faster. ActiveTrack 3.0 can also be activated by showing the camera a palm or a V-sign. However, this must be activated in the settings of the app. Other gestures include double tapping the mode button to rotate the phone horizontally or vertically. and triple-tap the shutter button to switch between the front and rear cameras. You can also activate the quick menu, which allows you to use the joystick to navigate through all shooting modes so that you never have to reach for your phone's screen. DJI specifies a battery life of up to 15 hours. We noticed that the battery life is actually around 10 hours in actual use, which is still not a bad thing. We believe that this should be more than enough runtime for everything you will be filming at the same time. The Osmo Mobile 3 can be used while charging, so you can use it for longer. It took approximately two and a half hours to fully charge when connected to a 10W adapter.

The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 works with almost any phone, but some features of the Mimo app are only available on some models judgment The DJI Osmo 3 is an incredibly entertaining device and a must for any serious content creator. Even for casual users, it is a very practical accessory when you are on vacation or just like to make home videos. The best part is that it is easy to use and even videos recorded with an inexpensive smartphone can look more professional. We love how compact it gets when folded up. The subject tracking function works well for people. and the Mimo app offers useful shooting modes. We hope that DJI updates the app to support more resolutions and frame rates on a wider range of Android phones. The starting price of Rs. 8,999 is very good considering the performance and functions that this device offers. We recommend putting a bit more money in the combo package, as the case is a must if you travel a lot and the tripod is very convenient for time-lapse photography. Price: Case 8,999 (base model); Case 10,999 (combo model) benefits Comfortable and portable Very good stabilization Easy to use Useful companion app Decent battery life disadvantage Object tracking could be better Read the full article

Lifeproof Cases
The latest new iPhones have high levels of dust and water resistance and have done so since the iPhone 8 and later. Glass panels are used in their build for looks as well as for wireless charging. The LifeProof brand has four type or styles of cases that further improve the level of protection. These type are as follows: Fre, Next, Slam, Flip. LifeProof Fre has a front screen protector and also has more seals for extra waterproof protection. The protection is up to two meters for an hour. Flip is the new Flip wallet case option. The new LifeProof Next is the mid range protective case of the LifeProof brand. The LifeProof Slam case will give just drop protection while the Next case has been designed to be dropproof, dirtproof, and snowproof.
You can pick up a LifeProof Fre case from us at the Cleveland Markets on Sundays. This case comes with an integrated front screen protector. More seals are in the case and this leads to improved waterproof protection of up to two meters for an hour.
If your iPhone goes with you to the pool or to the beach or the pool or if you seem to have half of your outdoor life in the rain you’ll need the want full protection for your iPhone, that the Fre case provides. The additional interior O-ring seals, as well as the front plastic cover bring the dust and water resistance to IP68 with MIL-STD 810G drop protection.
The LifeProof Fre comes in quite a few different colour types: Night Lite (all black with lime green highlights), Drop In (mint, gray, and lime green), Wipeout (couple shades of mint and pink highlights), Chakra (purples and pink), Banzai (blues and lime green), and Fire Run (reds and gray highlights).
There is a clear window on the back of the Fre case for the Apple logo and wireless charging and Apple Pay work perfectly fine with your iPhone in this case.
Lifeproof Next
The new LifeProof Next is the mid-level model of the LifeProof brand with the LifeProof Slam focused just on drop protection. The Next is manufactured so that it is be drop proof, dirt proof, and also snowproof (not that we get much snow in the Redland Shire).
The Next case has two pieces that clip tightly together to seal in your iPhone. The case’s back is made of a hard, rigid clear plastic and this extends up to all four sides to hold your phone in place without any ability to move.
The Next case’s front piece is clear plastic and features coloured softer material that fits over the top of your iPhone. Simply place the iPhone into the back piece and then the top part easily clips into place. The coloured material is available different colours to help you customise and stand out: black, gray, mint, as well as pink. There’s small toggle for the ringer switch .
Lifeproof Next has raised buttons for the volume and right side button with a door covering the Lightning charging port. There is no cover on the front of this case if you need protection for the screen, then buy the Fre case you can use a glass screen protector.
The Next case is a slim protective case proving that you do not need to double the thickness of the iphone to have an outstanding level of protection.
Lifeproof’s Slam
LifeProof SLAM is LifeProof’s cheapest case. Slam is slim and is drop-rated to two metres (that’s 6.6ft in the old measurements). Slam is one of the toughest cases and it allows you to show the colour of your iPhone.
Slamis one of the thinnest cases that weʼve come across for the iPhone and it also has style with the clear back showing off the colour of your Rose Gold iPhone 8 Plus for example.
Lifeproof Flip Wallet
The Flip Wallet case from Lifeproof flips around the idea of the wallet case as this heavy-duty case is not a typical wallet style of case. Indeed there there is a wallet flap that flips, but it does not close to cover over the screen as other wallet cases do.
And if you’re the kind of person who likes slim cases, you’re probably better off with a Casemate Wallet folio case or another type of case as the LifeProof wallet is bulky. Lifeproof are renound for their very protective cases. And this protectiontakes priority over mere looks with LifeProof cases.
The Flip Wallet case is a new style of case, and it is only currently available for the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro, as well as the iPone 11 Pro Max. It is available in three colurs: Dark Night (Black/Grey), Cement Surfer (Blue/Slate), Water Lily (Light Blue/Green).
As stated previously rather having your typical wallet folio style, Lifeproof’s case features a thick back that flips open and closed.
The case’s fabric flap has slots for card and another longer slot behind them for cash. Don’t want to overstuff this flap, or else it will not hold shut.
The flap has a large cut out to for the camera module. And you are able to flip the flap all the way around and use it as a kickstand for watching videos. This works well at a variety of angles.
This is the Lifeproof range of cases for the iPhone. But click here to read more about different types and brands of cases for your iPhone.

What’s in my Bag
This is the most asked question I get. So, I thought that since I recently finished 11 days up in the Canadian Rockies, in the dead of Winter, I’d share what was in my bag, and why.
First, I needed a bag that I could carry, that would stand up to the rigors of the cold AND would protect my gear. For these types of trips, my go to is the Tamrac Expedition 9X. No longer made, this is a staple in my collection for the above the reasons.

Bodies
Knowing I was going to be doing some heavy astrophotography and landscapes, I took two Sony ar7iii’s, and one Sony a9.
I always travel with an extra body because you never know what might happen. It’s also nice to have a spare body in case my primary is being used for a time-lapse or video. Additionally, the ability to have a different lens on each is great in rough environments when I would rather not expose my sensor to elements with a lens change (like the snow blown frozen lake for example). The Scout motto still rings true: Be Prepared.
What? An a9? Yup.
As a sports photographer, I always have a fast body\lens combo with me as you NEVER know when you’ll need it. Once, and ONLY once - I traveled and regretted not having the right gear with me. I vowed to never let that happen again.
With the ar7iii, I get incredible resolution, use and functionality. With my a9, I had speed.
Go Pro Hero 6:
I just love having a small, compact video tool that can take a quick snap. During times fo waiting, I can transfer and edit directly on my iPhone, ready to post at days end.
Lens
I did some research and made sure I had a great wide open lens for my astrophotography efforts. My Sony 24mm didn’t arrive in time - (it came the day after I left), so I opted for the Zeiss 18mm Batis. Stunningly sharp, this lens never left a body. I had no idea how light this lens was. It feels as if there was nothing there - but oh the images. Simply stunning!
I also brought the Sony G Master 16-35mm, which offered flexibility, tack sharp images across the range of focal lengths and was light.
Just as a precaution, I added the Sony 24-105 F/4 to my bag. There is something about having one lens to cover virtually everything. I think this is a holdover from my days with Nikon. None the less, I enjoyed having it as it provided a small measure of peace of mind.
I mentioned above that I brought the a9. There was no way I was carrying my 400 f/2.8, but I added the 100-400mm, and was I ever glad I did! Compact, light and with incredible reach, I was ready for anything the trip through at us - camera wise.
I gave careful consideration to both my 24-70mm and the 70-200mm, f/2.8’s. Knowing I had a sports event I had to covert the day I returned meant I opted to keep these safe and at home.
Lights
The original plan had us heading up to Jasper to shoot the ice caves. Unfortunately, the weather had other pans as we had over 50cm of snow, closing the road after the Saskatchewan crossing. My vision was to use the Sony HVL-F60RM’s, blog with Honl Lighting gels to create an otherworldly scene.
I also brought along the Westcott Ice Light, again planning to use it to creatively add light to the scene.
Honl Light gels, in rool-ups. I have over 64 colors at my disposal in easy to use gels. If you haven’t seen these, visit Honl Lighting. Dave developed these after his years as a correspondent and it shows. Killer gear, great effects.

Batteries
All of my cameras have hand held grips, which allows for dual batteries. Still, being winter, I opted to bring four additional batteries - just in case. You can never be too prepared!
Memory Cards
Sony TOUGH & Sony G SD Memory Cards: I exclusively use the Sony TOUGH and ultra-fast Sony G SD memory cards. I’ve yet to have one fail and the read/write speeds do more than keep up with the demands of my cameras and the environments I use them in.
Extra Batteries: One of my favorite upgrades to the Sony α7R III was the inclusion of the newer Sony Z batteries. I’ll often be able to get through a whole day of shooting with my α7R III with just one battery, but it’s still always a good idea to bring along a few spares.
GITZO Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod and A Really Right Stuff Ball Head
Any long exposure photography, astrophotography, time-lapses, etc. – they all require a tripod to alleviate camera shake. This one is great because of its compact size and weight, which is important for travel and long carry. When I need extra weight, I’ll hang my bag from the hook below the center column for added stability.

Assorted Lens Filters from B&W, Hoya and Lee: Primarily polarizing and neutral density filters (and a few step up rings to minimize the number of filters needed for different lens thread sizes) are key ingredients in my kit. These filters help to cut glare, create proper exposures in camera, slow shutter speeds, and so much more.

Apple 15” MacBook Pro
Besides my camera and lenses, this is the next most important element in my kit. All of my post-processing is done in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Apple iPad Pro (2nd Gen)
On long trips, I load up with movies, music and reading material. It’s lighter, fast and so easy to edit a few images during down time and when I don[t have the space for my MBP.
Lacie Rugged Hard DriveI
I travel with multiple hard drives that I store my RAW files and Lightroom catalog on. Even when I’m traveling, I like to keep a backup in case of drive failure. Assuming I have internet access, my computer and drives are also backed up to cloud storage.
Headlamp
Whether it be for lighting a trail, just around camp after dark or helping me find something in my bag when light fades, a headlamp is an integral part of any outdoor photographer’s kit.
Lens Cleaning Kit
Keeping the optics clean is simply essential, especially when I’m subjecting it to some pretty gnarly environments sometimes. I’d much rather spend a few minutes cleaning my lenses and blowing out dust on my sensor ahead of time rather than hours of spot removal in post.
Beanie/Gloves
In cold weather, these are key. I actually can recommend the following if you are headed to extreme cold. Not only were my hands warm, but I was able to use my fingers for fine tuning as well.
Hand Warmers
I use these for either their intended use (keeping my hands warm) or sometimes to keep my batteries warm, helping to extend battery life in cold climates. I also tape several feet of gaffer tape around my tripod legs, so that I can wrap these around my battery grip.
Bose QC-35 Headphones
The best headphones I’ve ever owned, hands down. They’re comfortable for extended wear (long flights, for example) and have incredible noise cancellation, which is key to getting some rest or listening to hours of my electronic Jax, chill and ambient tunes on international flights without being interrupted by engine noise or screaming babies.
Passport
Like my American Express, I never leave home without it (on a trip). I’m not going far without it.
Not many think of this last pieces as essential, but I don’t shoot without it - Insurance.
My company, Taylor & Taylor ROCKS! Anytime I am on the road, I let them know and should anything bad happen, I’m covered. No questions asked. Not to mention my liability coverages exceeds most job requests.
Advil
Sitting on ice, shooting multiple sports, hiking miles into the backcountry - this helps alleviate the aches and pains.
