I had a fic request !! I adore your writing sm I loved the soft cute moments with hotch and the reader eee :)
I’ve really been wanting to read pre!relationship hotch x reader or early on when they start showing more care for one another, if the reader is not feeling well or might be coming down with a cold and hotch gets the chance to take care of them in quiet ways! bonus points if he’s being subtle in front of the team, but much more caring in private aaaa I am melting
If you feel like it!! I’ll just be scrolling thru all your works now :)

Tumblr media
It had started as a dull throb at your temple. It was easy to ignore; you’d had headaches like these your whole life. But as the hours stretched on, the pain only intensified. It had spread to your limbs, making your skin feel too warm and your head too foggy.
You weren’t sick, not really. At least that’s what you kept telling yourself. You’d push through it. It was probably just the office AC running too cold or just stress from unending paperwork. Either way, you didn’t have time for it.
Which is why you tried to ignore the slight shiver racking through your body as you reached for yet another file.
“Are you all right?”
Hotch. Damn.
Were you that obvious?
You blink up at him, feeling like you’d got caught with your hand in the cookie jar. He was standing just beside your desk, arms crossed. His posture was utterly relaxed, but his gaze was sharp, assessing. His expression was unreadable to most, but you’d learned his subtleties. His Hotch-isms, as you’d dubbed it.
“I’m fine,” you mumble. Too defensive.
Hotch didn’t look too convinced.
You clear your throat nervously, pushing through the scratchiness and offering him a small smile, hoping that would get him off your back. “Just a little tired, Hotch.”
There was a pause. Not long, but you could feel the weight of his scrutiny. Then, without a word, Hotch left. With a sigh of relief, you turn back to your report, forcing yourself to focus on the words. Eventually, one page blurred into the next, the steady scratch of your pen filling your ears. It was almost enough to lull you into a rhythm, your body switching to autopilot.
That was, until a very familiar presence returned to your desk.
You glance up as Hotch places something down beside your elbow— a cup of tea, steam curling up from the rim.
It was chamomile, made just the way you liked it.  “You—”
Your wings curl around the cup, warmth seeping into your skin. You hadn’t asked for this. Hadn’t even thought about it. But as you lift the cup, inhaling the familiar scent, the realisation settles.
Aaron had seen you make it once, late at night on the jet, after a gruelling week-long case. You’d thought everyone else was asleep, so you’d allowed yourself the small comfort of your ritual—quiet, familiar, something just for you. But he’d noticed. And somehow, he had remembered.
You swallow past the lump in your throat.
Hotch didn’t wait to hear whatever you had been about to say.
“Drink it,” he commands, voice slipping into the space between your thoughts. Then, as if he hadn’t just caught you completely off guard, he turned and walked away again.
You stare after him for a minute too long, a warmth spreading through you that has nothing to do with the tea.
Subtle.
But not to you.
The rest of the day, you caught things— small, almost imperceptible. The way he passed you a tissue before you realised you needed one. The way his voice softened when he told you, “Go home. Get some rest.”
————————
By the time you made it home, you were struggling to keep your eyes open. The air in your apartment was still, save for a faint hum coming from your heater. You kick off your shoes by the door, making no effort to line them up on the shoe rack. You were a tidy person by nature, but tonight you couldn’t care less.
All you wanted was the warmth of your bed.
You drift towards your bed, pulling one of your heavier blankets around yourself. You sink down into your bed with a slow exhale, your body releasing some of the tension you had been carrying all day. You curl into yourself, slowly lowering your head against your pillows. You let your eyes flutter shut, willing sleep to take over.
Then, cruelly, your doorbell rang.
Maybe they’d go away if you ignored the door. But the bell rang again, the insistent tone tearing through your haze. Frowning, you sit up slowly. No one ever came over this late. Dragging yourself to your feet, you shuffle over to the door, the blanket still draped over your shoulders like a sorry cape. When you finally drag the door open, you freeze.
Aaron Hotchner.
The last person you’d expected to see. Standing in your doorway. Holding a bag with what looked like a robot on it.
What on earth? Maybe this was the hallucination stage of your fever.
You blink at him, slow and disoriented.
“Aaron?”
His expression was unreadable, but there was something soft in the way he looked at you—something close to amusement, something fond. “You shouldn’t be so surprised.”
“I—” Your voice came out rough, throat tight with exhaustion. You swallow against it, staring at him like he might disappear if you blinked too hard. Moving slightly to let him in, you ask, “What are you doing here?”
He gestures vaguely towards the bag. “I didn’t know if you had anything at home. Figured soup was a safe bet. I even stole Jack’s lunch bag for you.”
You stare at it, then back at him.
For a second, you didn’t move. Your brain wasn’t functioning.
Warmth bloomed in your chest, too overwhelming, too much for how tired you felt.
“You didn’t have to do that,” you murmur, voice quieter now.
Hotch met your gaze, steady and unwavering. “I know.”
The words sat between you, heavy with things unsaid.
You reach for the bag, and your fingers brush his. He didn’t pull away immediately. The touch
lingered, warm and deliberate, before he finally stepped towards your living room.
“Sit,” he instructs, voice gentle but firm. “Eat. And try to get some sleep.”
You huff a quiet laugh, shaking your head as you pull the soup out.
“You take care of everyone like this?” you tease, reaching for bowls and cutlery.
Something flickered across his face—something private, something just for you.
“Not quite like this,” he admitted.
And just like that, the cold didn’t seem so bad anymore.

I'd like to request Velvette and/or Camilla with an assistant reader who has a crush on them, and one day they get hit in the head and suddenly they can't filter their horny/romantic thoughts about their crush/boss when speaking.
"Yes ma'am, I'll get that to you within the hour. By Lucifer, you're thicker than a bowl of oatmeal."
"I'll call the supplier right now. I'd forego a week's pay just to get a kiss from you."
Stuff like that. And it just comes out nonchalantly and without rhyme or reason throughout the day.
As much as I love Carmilla Carmine, I gotta go with my favorite Vee, Velvette!!
Tumblr media
Brain damaged
Velvette x reader
Warnings: reader is uh, very silly, also reader has glasses for no other reason than the fact I was listening to confessions of a rotten girl with Hatsune Miku while writing the first half so take that as you will, ending is a little rushed because I was about to pass out.
Also this started out as a oneshot but I got stuck in the middle so it kinda faded into headcanons my apologies for the wonky formatting!!! I think this could classify as a drabble+ headcanons??
Tumblr media
You were an average sinner, didn't do anything particularly in life to get down here, you went to work and you came home at the end of the day, ate, browsed the Internet and slept.
Nothing special, if you could say there was something that made you stand out from the rest was that you were one of the Vee's, specifically Velvette's assistant, one that's been with her for years and still has yet to be replaced or worse.
Although that may soon change since during your time off you had a horrible accident involving a turf war and long story short you were the lucky victim of a concussion!
You didn't go to the hospital because, while being Velvette's assistant actually gave you great health insurance, you were late because your favorite webcomic finally updated and you were not missing it because of some concussion.
This will be a decision you come to regret because once you returned to work all your inside thoughts became outside thoughts!
Whether you realized that or not.
The first instance of this was you waltzing into work at the crack of dawn, Velvette was a busy woman who valued her beauty sleep, so for her to get that sleep others must sacrifice theirs.
Oddly enough today she was up and about the same as you, so as her assistant you followed her around with your notepad.
This is when the first accident came about.
"Can you believe the nerve of that fucker? Who does he think he is?! What do you think [Name]?"
"I think that if I were to die I'd like it to be by your hands,"
"What."
"What?"
Going from shit talking someone to your assistant to them telling you that they would like to die by your hands was jarring, Velvette immediately sent you off to grab her coffee and you not even realizing what you had said just skipped away to grab her coffee.
Maybe this was a once-off incident, maybe she had misheard you in her precaffeinated state.
It was NOT.
Tumblr media
You handed her files? "Here are your files Miss Velvette," "Great, anything else?" "I'd like to bury my face in your chest but other than that no, I'll take my leave now."
Honestly that should've gotten you reported to HR but the Vee's don't really have an HR department, it's actually just five Niffty size sinners in a trenchcoat.
You accidentally brushed hands? "I have been blessed."
You fall down the stairs and she's standing over you? "Oh, an angel?"
That one actually got you kicked.
Velvette's not... Mad...
Mostly because she finds you quite cute, like a little silly thing.
She is REALLY CONFUSED THOUGH BECAUSE???? you've never been like this before??? And you don't seem to be realizing what you're saying????
She decides to Uno reverse you.
"Anything else you need me to do for you?" You ask handing her lunch or something,
"You can sit on my lap."
Cue you spiraling
Tumblr media
Cue the rest of the day where you'd blurt out something and she'd retort in kind.
Your coworkers are confused for the most part because??? The last time someone tried this they uh...
Let's just say the Vee's swap employees.
anyways cue the end of the work day where Velvette ends up taking you on a date because??? You're flirting with her and she's reciprocating so obviously the next time is to take you out.
Eventually in true cartoon fashion you get another concussion and everything just swaps back, your inside thoughts are back to being your inside thoughts but you did get a girlfriend out of your concussions!!
She did drag you to the hospital though because you had TWO concussions!!
Your job may or may not be in jeopardy though because you're dating your boss and uh.... That's kinda messy soooooooo good luck with that!!
Tumblr media
Good evening folks!! I do hope you enjoyed!! Happy Valentine's day! Whether you're spending this day with a loved one, family, friends or by yourself I hope you have a wonderful day, and remember if you like chocolate it's supposed to go on sale soon, I want caramel chocolates :]

On OCs vs Reader-inserts (a long, rambling, train of thought post)
@hollandorks gave my fic a lovely shout out the other day, urging people to read it even though a lot of fans of DD/Marvel are weird about OCs, and it got me wondering...why?
I'm the opposite, to be honest - I find it really difficult to get into reader fics, which I wish wasn't the case. There are sooooo many more of those stories here and on AO3, and I feel like I'm really missing out. I just find the format so jarring, which I think is a product of my long fanfic/book-reading history.
Backstory time:
I started reading fanfic at the ripe old age of 14, during the height of the original X-files run (which should tell you how old I am!). In fact, the first stories I read were printed in a fanzine that used to get delivered to my house! In the actual mail. On actual paper!
Eventually I found Gossamer.org and I would stay up way too late every night in my bedroom, sitting at my PC reading every single fic available, trying to hide the sound of the computer whirring and my chair creaking so my mum wouldn't know what I was up to.
And they were all mulder/scully fics. No one else was allowed to come between them (Diana Fowley can fuck off and die). I don't even know if people were writing Mulder/reader fics back then, but I certainly never found any.
Fast forward to my next ship, which was Olicity from Arrow. It was far too long between obsessions, but an obsession it became. I got back into reading fanfics after YEARS. I even started writing! But it was all Olicity, all the time. Reader fics just weren't on my radar.
Until Spiderman (Garfield version), then Daredevil. Both characters I found fascinating, but where the canon relationships just didn't do it for me. I found myself wanting to read stories of them with someone new, someone interesting...but the majority were this weird thing called a Reader-insert fic, which my old ass hadn't even come across before.
I made the mistake of trying some that had the y/n thing, and NOPE. Not for me - pulled me right out of the story. And I know a lot of authors don't use that convention, but I still find it difficult to get into them. Maybe because I never actually relate to the reader - I'm not able to insert myself, because it's not me. It's not my life, or the way I would act, or the job that I have. I keep reading the stories thinking, 'why isn't this just an OC?'
Or maybe its not the reader thing, but the 2nd person POV thing. Every fanfic I'd previously read - and every novel I've ever read (and I've read A LOT!) - were either 1st or 3rd person, so it's weird reading from a different POV after all these years.
So is that it? Am I just an old dog who can't be taught new tricks?
Do I lack the imagination to become the 'reader'?
Does anyone else have this problem?
Please tell me how I can learn to enjoy reader fics! Give me your recs for the best stories ever with that format, or just tell me to get over myself and go read something.
Convert me, please!!

In which we try to do something with the Patreon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm gonna try something tomorrow: the first of the month is when the Patreon billing cycle starts, so on Sunday (October 1st), I'll open a $5 level. (Right now I just have a $1 level with tumbleweed rolling by as a tip jar sort of thing.) There, you'll be able to see Effort Posts, you know, the essay-length things about vampires or perfume or music, or anything else that strikes me, early. At least 24 hours early, in a handy PDF file, and also, I can see if people like the piece before I post it here on Tumblr. Some personal pieces may stay Patreon-only, depending on the topic (do I want Tumblr at large commenting on my genealogical research? Probably not!), so there's also that. Similar things I've already posted are the Varney recaps, Donna Summer and Disco Demolition Night, Sparking Joy (Jean Patou, 1930), or my retelling of Tiny Moist Hand, so that's the kind of thing you'd see early.
That up there, in screenshot preview format, is a two-part (true) story called "I Grew Up in a Haunted House and I Didn't Notice"; it's about 5300 words all told. (Question: would you rather have the pdf in the larger font size, which I found easier to read on mobile, or the standard 12 pt, both shown above?)
After a day or so, I'll put the story here as two normal tumblr posts. So you will be able to see them here, but if you want to know how tf I could have been haunted and not known it and then my sister said I had it all wrong anyway, you can see it tomorrow on Patreon Dot Com Slash Cleolinda.
What I would also like to do is start posting weekend links as free/public posts on Sundays--kind of like a newsletter you can get whether you chip anything in or not. I'm more concerned with people knowing where I am while all these social media platforms crumble into the sea, honestly. I'll also archive some older posts as PDFs as well, although that might take a minute, so there'll be a back catalogue to browse.
As we go along, I'd like to see if I can either record some readings or just do short (under five minutes) voice posts, but I would also want to type up transcripts for those, so I need to get a feel for how much time that takes. I miss doing podcasts, although I deeply need to get a new headset. And some Throat Coat. I'm already looking over the two short Halloween stories from Livejournal that people mentioned, the ones I read aloud years ago; I'll repost those as we get further into October, and I have some posts about scary movies in the works. And you'd get those delivered to your inbox rather than them be solely awash on the waves of Tumblr.
Anyway, I'll reblog this tomorrow once the $5 level goes live, but I thought I'd get some feedback a bit in advance.

PSA: Free Software
Reading this may really save your time, privacy, and money! Reblog or share to spread awareness!
Folks often use software that’s expensive and sometimes even inferior because they don’t know there are alternatives. So to those unfamiliar: basically, free and open-source (FOSS) or "libre" software is free to use and anyone can access the original code to make their own version or work on fixing problems.
That does not mean anyone can randomly add a virus and give it to everyone—any respectable libre project has checks in place to make sure changes to the official version are good! Libre software is typically developed by communities who really care about the quality of the software as a goal in itself.
There are libre alternatives to many well-known programs that do everything an average user needs (find out more under the cut!) for free with no DRM, license keys, or subscriptions.
Using libre software when possible is an easy way to fight against and free yourself from corporate greed while actually being more convenient in many cases! If you need an app to do something, perhaps try searching online for things like:
foss [whatever it is]
libre [whatever it is]
open source [whatever it is]
Feel free to recommend more libre software in the tags, replies, comments, or whatever you freaks like to do!
Some Libre Software I Personally Enjoy…
LibreOffice
LibreOffice is an office suite, much like Microsoft Office. It includes equivalents for apps like Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, which can view and edit files created for those apps.
Tumblr media
I can't say I've used it much myself yet. I do not personally like using office software except when I have to for school.
OpenShot
OpenShot Video Editor is, as the name suggests, a video editing program. It has industry-standard features like splicing, layering, transitions, and greenscreen.
Tumblr media
I've only made one video with it so far, but I'm already very happy with it. I had already paid for a video editor (Cyberlink PowerDirector Pro), but I needed to reinstall it and I didn't remember how. Out of desperation, I searched up "FOSS video editor" and I'm so glad I did. There's no launcher, there's no promotion of other apps and asset packs—it's just a video editor with a normal installer.
GIMP
GNU Image Manipulation Program is an image editor, much like Photoshop. Originally created for Linux but also available for Windows and MacOS, it provides plenty of functionality for editing images. It is a bit unintuitive to learn at first, though.
Tumblr media
I've used it to create and modify images for years, including logos, really bad traceover art, and Minecraft textures. It doesn't have certain advanced tech like AI paint-in, but it has served my purposes well and it might just work for yours!
(Be sure to go to Windows > Dockable Dialogs > Colors. I have no idea why that's not enabled by default.)
Audacity
Audacity is an audio editing program. It can record, load, splice, and layer audio files and apply effects to them.
Tumblr media
Audacity is another program I've used for a long time. It is not designed to compose music, but it is great for podcasts, simple edits, and loading legacy MS Paint to hear cool noises.
7-Zip
7-Zip is a file manager and archive tool. It supports many archive types including ZIP, RAR, TAR, and its own format, 7Z. It can view and modify the contents of archives, encrypt and decrypt archives, and all that good stuff.
Tumblr media
Personally, I use 7-Zip to look inside JAR files for Minecraft reasons. I must admit that its UI is ugly.
Firefox
Firefox is an internet browser, much like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Safari. While browsers are free, many of them include tracking or other anti-consumer practices. For example, Google plans to release an update to Chromium (the base that most browsers are built from these days) that makes ad blockers less effective by removing the APIs they currently rely on.
Tumblr media
Aside from fighting monopolies, benefits include: support for animated themes (the one in the picture is Purple Night Theme), good ad blockers forever, an (albeit hidden) compact UI option (available on about:config), and a cute fox icon.
uBlock Origin
As far as I know, uBlock Origin is one of the best ad blockers there is.
Tumblr media
I was on a sketchy website with my brother, and he was using Opera GX's ad blocker. Much of the time when he clicked on anything, it would take us to a random sponsored page. I suggested that he try uBlock Origin, and with uBlock Origin, that didn't happen anymore.
Linux
Linux is a kernel, but the term is often used to refer to operating systems (much like Windows or MacOS) built on it. There are many different Linux-based operating systems (or "distros") to choose from, but apps made for Linux usually work on most popular distros. You can also use many normally Windows-only apps on Linux through compatibility layers like WINE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't have all four of these, so the images are from Wikipedia. I tried to show a variety of Linux distros made for different kinds of users.
If you want to replace your operating system, I recommend being very careful because you can end up breaking things. Many computer manufacturers don't care about supporting Linux, meaning that things may not work (Nvidia graphic cards notoriously have issues on Linux, for example).
Personally, I tried installing Pop!_OS on a laptop, and the sound output mysteriously doesn't work. I may try switching to Arch Linux, since it is extremely customizable and I might be able to experiment until I find a configuration where the audio works.
Many Linux distros offer "Live USB" functionality, which works as both a demo and an installer. You should thoroughly test your distro on a Live USB session before you actually install it to be absolutely sure that everything works. Even if it seems fine, you should probably look into dual-booting with your existing operating system, just in case you need it for some reason.
Happy computering!

how to block tags on ao3 permanently (for both mobile and desktop):
1) if you don't already use firefox as your browser, download and switch to it. there's a ton of tutorials out there on it and it's super easy to move your bookmarks and such over, so i won't go into detail on that here. (links: desktop - ios - android).
2) download and add tampermonkey to your extensions.
3) download ao3 savior and ao3 savior config. when you click install script, it should open up a second window with tampermonkey, where you will click install again.
4) the scripts will download really fast. once you're done, check if they downloaded by clicking on the tampermonkey icon on your browser, and then the dashboard. it should show your installed scripts now!
5) restart your browser (close all tabs and/or just close firefox if you're on mobile).
6) reopen your browser and go to tampermoney's dashboard again, where you can see your installed scripts.
7) click edit on the ao3 config *savior* script. the icon should look like a square and pencil.
8) scroll down until you find the tagBlacklist part. there are already three tags added there as an example (['dobby', 'jar jar binks', '*mimes']).
9) get rid of those and add in your own tags, making sure they match the same format as the examples. asterisks work as ANYTHING, meaning that if you never wanted to see [any character]/reader again, you would put '*reader' as a tag. this would also include anything like 'strong!reader' or 'male!reader' though, so be careful with how you word it. here is an example of what my blacklisted tags look like:
tagBlacklist: ['Harry Potter *', 'Reader-Insert', '*Reader', 'Reader*', 'Dean Winchester', 'Sam Winchester'],
10) if you wanted to exclude every [any character]/reader fic again EXCEPT for a certain pairing or fandom, then you'll head over to the tagWhitelist section. here, any tags you add will always make a work shown, even if they contain tags from your your blacklist. you can also do this with authors in the authorWhitelist section!
11) decide if you want to see when a fic is blocked for you/if you want to see why a fic is blocked. if you just want the fics to be hidden without any warning, then change showReasons and showPlaceholders to true. if not, leave it as is.
12) put // in front of any of the sections that you don't want to mess with right now. for instance, if you don't have any authors you want to blacklist, put // in front of authorBlacklist to make sure it doesn't run the examples for now. you can always get rid of the // later on if you want to add something and make it run again.
12) click on file, then save. go over to ao3 and check if the tags you have blocked are hidden. if they're not, move to the next step.
13) if the tags you have muted are still showing up, try changing them a little. for instance, 'harry potter - j.k. rowling' fics kept showing up for me until i changed it to just 'harry potter *'. you should also try restarting your computer/phone to see if that works. if nothing works even after trial and error, feel free to dm me and i'll try to help you out personally!
14) enjoy never having to filter out anything you hate ever again (unless you come across a new tag that you want to add to your block list) :>
the og tutorial i made some tweaks to is here. credits to the author of that one! <3

What the WtA Index is, and what it can do for you!
So alright. What on earth is this Index? What's it going to be any good for? Let's find out!
Legacy WtA is big. It stretches thirty years, four editions, and my list of pertinent sources for the game (not even complete yet!) numbers over 200. Newer books are easily searched if you have a PDF, but older ones not so much - especially if the subject you're looking for is referred to in oblique ways that don't provide a handy key search term. And even with the newer PDFs, you gotta know to even check in the first place!
So I've been trawling through the books, keeping page numbers about subjects as they arise. As an example, here's the current entry for "Ahroun", an admittedly very simple subject with frequent mentions:
Tumblr media
Holy moly! Of course, they're not all that huge. You get entries with only one source, or cute little ones like this:
Tumblr media
For anyone working on a W:tA project, the benefits should be pretty clear. Finding obscure references will be considerably easier. That's my goal - to offer a powerful resource to talented creators for the (very flawed) game that I love so dearly.
Now, the index is far from ready for release. I have many more books to process, and a lot of choices to make about how to organize entries, what terms to file certain things under, and formatting. So while I'll offer these glimpses behind the scenes as to what the index looks like, I don't release the files - yet. Someday!
So what good is it doing you in the meantime? Well, I won't let you go rummaging through the index yourself just yet, but I'll happily rummage through it for you, making reference pulls for a given subject. Here's an example of references to Wales that I made for someone. Currently not a lot there in the books I've indexed (I imagine this'll get a lot longer once I hit Tribebook: Fianna Revised!) but it's easy to update as I go. If there's a subject you're looking for references to, feel free to let me know in an ask or message here on tumblr and I'll get to it when I'm between books!
Also, because I have been ordered to do this, and because of the capitalist hellscape, here's my tip jar. Note that tips are neither required nor expected for doing reference pulls, just appreciated!

It's been a while since I published it, so I wanna share the PDF version of my 2 Tsukiyami doujinshi that's printed some years ago
Both is Koumyou Sanzo x Ukoku Sanzo ship book, and warning about some violence, blood, dark stuff, the.. standard Saiyuki warning I guess.
Language: English. I'm not native English speaker, so I apologize if the dialog sounds weird.
Read from LEFT to RIGHT

[1] THE NIGHT IS STILL YOUNG
Is the collection from comics I draw in 2018 until 2021. Originally my comics were drawn for web (vertical) format. It's separate stories and overall theme is dark. !! Warning for a R18 chapter. It's my first book so it's still a bit messy~
** Book 1 PDF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qeV2Psvw5u0gM7P1XQFD-3D68QSdHEUW/view?usp=drive_link
[2] BENEATH THIS SKY
Is doujinshi published in 2022, another solo anthology about Tsukiyami relationship in [Four Season] Theme, the stories are all connected. Overall lighter theme because I was terrified after rereading how dark first book was, some Chinese culture references and Teresa Teng's song (lol)
This book very much have implied meaning with dialog, it might be a bit hard to notice the hints, but it's all about Koumyou relationship with Ukoku, between a colleague, also a mentor, maybe friends, or maybe closer than friends, in metaphor of Four Seasons - Born in Spring, Grow in Summer, Reaped in Autumn, Stored in Winter, and its relevancy to current chapter's festival. For example, Qingming festival (festival of tomb-sweeping, to reverence one's ancestors) in Spring, Quifen in Autumn (Midautumn festival to gather with friends and family, to eat moon cake together in happy occassion). Please see notes in the end for short description about what actually referenced in the chapter
Bonus R18 chapter is not planned, it's just me having naughty impulse.
** Book 2 PDF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_82S4E-E0obRL7Z5kKmYQ_YW727UWlnN/view?usp=drive_link
** BONUS R18 CHAPTER (Need Pixiv login): https://www.pixiv.net/artworks/101532942
--
Please DON'T REPOST DON'T REPRINT ANY CONTENT OF THE PDF, I've uploaded MOST of my comics here / Twitter / Pixiv.
Also my tip jar because those two living rent-free, I'd appreciate any good tea I could buy from tip jar haha https://ko-fi.com/adagiospace
Enjoy my delusion about those two.
I love them so much.

Konata: (grinning mischievously) "Guys, prepare to be amazed. I just bought a HUMAN SOUL on eBay!"
Kagami: (staring at her in disbelief) "You WHAT?! You can’t just BUY a soul like it’s some kind of discount keychain! What is wrong with you?!"
Konata: (nodding proudly) "Relax, Kagamin. It’s not like I stole it or anything—it was listed under 'Miscellaneous > Spiritual Goods.' Totally legit. And get this: free shipping!"
Tsukasa: (tilting her head innocently) "But Kona-chan… what does a soul even look like? Is it in a jar? Or maybe it’s invisible?"
Konata: (pretending to think deeply) "Hmm… good question, Tsukasa-chan. The listing said it comes in digital format, so I’m guessing it’s an MP3 file or something."
Kagami: (groaning loudly) "This is insane. First of all, souls aren’t FILES. Second, how do you know it’s real? For all you know, you just wasted twenty bucks on someone’s prank."
Miyuki: (adjusting her glasses thoughtfully) "While the concept of purchasing a soul raises significant ethical questions, it’s also worth noting that digital ownership lacks clear legal frameworks. If disputes arise, enforcing rights over such intangible property would prove challenging."
Konata: (waving dismissively) "Ah, but THAT’S what makes it exciting, Miyuki! No rules, no limits—just pure chaos. Besides, who’s gonna sue me? The soul itself?"
Tsukasa: (giggling softly) "What if the soul likes you, Kona-chan? Like, maybe it’ll follow you around and help you with stuff. Like a guardian angel!"
Konata: (snapping her fingers triumphantly) "Guardian angel, huh? More like my personal assistant. ‘Hey, soul, fetch me a soda.’ ‘Soul, finish my math homework.’ ‘Soul, explain why Kagamin hates fun.’"
Kagami: (throwing up her hands in exasperation) "I don’t hate fun—I hate stupidity! Buying a soul online is like adopting a pet rock and expecting it to fetch sticks. It’s pointless!"
Konata: (grinning slyly) "Pointless? Kagamin, you’re missing the bigger picture. This isn’t just a soul—it’s a conversation starter."
Miyuki: (smiling gently) "While the novelty is undeniable, it’s important to consider the moral implications of commodifying something as profound as a soul. Many cultures view the soul as integral to identity and existence—not merely an object for trade."
Konata: (pretending to ponder dramatically) "Ah, but culture evolves, Miyuki. One day, we’ll all be trading souls like Pokémon cards. Gotta catch ’em all!"
Tsukasa: (clapping excitedly) "Ooh, what if you could trade your soul for another one? Like swapping flavors of ice cream! Maybe yours tastes like chocolate, and mine tastes like strawberry!"
Kagami: (facepalming) "Can we PLEASE talk about something normal for once?"
Konata: (laughing) "Normal is boring, Kagamin. Besides, normal people don’t own their own souls—they rent them. I’m ahead of the curve."

Audio Podcast Editing
In the rapidly growing world of digital content, podcasts have emerged as a powerful medium for storytelling, education, and entertainment. While the content itself holds significant importance, the quality of audio can make or break a podcast. This is where audio podcast editing comes into play. Editing not only refines the sound quality but also enhances the overall listener experience. This article delves into the essentials of audio podcast editing, from basic techniques to advanced tips.
Tumblr media
The Importance of Podcast Editing
Podcast editing is more than just cutting out mistakes or awkward pauses. Here is my profile about services of AUDIO PODCAST EDITING It's about creating a polished product that engages listeners. High-quality audio can establish credibility, maintain audience attention, and improve the accessibility of content. Poor audio quality, on the other hand, can be distracting and may cause listeners to abandon an episode prematurely.
Essential Tools for Podcast Editing
Before diving into the editing process, having the right tools is crucial. Here are some popular audio editing software options:
Audacity: A free, open-source software that's perfect for beginners. It offers basic editing features like cutting, trimming, and noise reduction.
Adobe Audition: A professional-grade software with advanced features for detailed editing, mixing, and mastering.
GarageBand: Ideal for Mac users, this intuitive tool is great for recording and basic editing.
Hindenburg Journalist: Designed specifically for podcasters, it offers automatic audio leveling and easy-to-use editing features.
Descript: A modern tool that allows you to edit audio as if you’re editing text, making it incredibly user-friendly.
Basic Editing Techniques
Trimming and Cutting: Remove unnecessary parts like long pauses, filler words (um, uh, like), and off-topic tangents to keep the content concise.
Noise Reduction: Eliminate background noise, hums, and hisses to ensure clarity.
Equalization (EQ): Adjust frequencies to balance the audio, making voices sound fuller and clearer.
Compression: Manage volume levels to ensure consistent sound throughout the episode.
Fading In and Out: Smooth transitions between segments with fade effects to avoid abrupt starts or stops.
Adding Music and Sound Effects: Incorporate intro/outro music and sound effects to enhance the listening experience.
Advanced Editing Techniques
For podcasters looking to elevate their production quality, consider these advanced techniques:
Multitrack Editing: Work with multiple audio tracks simultaneously to fine-tune interviews, discussions, or panel recordings.
De-essing: Reduce harsh "s" sounds that can be jarring to listeners.
Normalization: Adjust the overall volume to meet industry standards, ensuring consistency across episodes.
Dynamic Range Compression: Enhance the clarity of voices, especially in environments with varying loudness.
Audio Restoration: Fix distorted audio, remove clicks, pops, and other imperfections using specialized plugins.
The Editing Workflow
A structured workflow can make the editing process more efficient:
Import Audio: Bring your raw recordings into the editing software.
Organize Tracks: Label and arrange tracks for easy navigation.
Initial Cleanup: Remove obvious mistakes, silences, and background noises.
Detailed Editing: Focus on fine-tuning audio levels, applying EQ, and adding effects.
Review: Listen to the episode from start to finish to catch any missed errors.
Export: Save the final version in a suitable format (usually MP3 for podcasts) with appropriate settings for bitrate and file size.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Over-editing: Removing too many natural pauses can make conversations sound robotic.
Ignoring Audio Levels: Inconsistent volume can frustrate listeners who constantly adjust their device's volume.
Skipping the Final Review: Always listen to the entire episode before publishing to catch unnoticed errors.
Using Excessive Effects: Overuse of reverb, echo, or background music can distract from the main content.
Tips for Efficient Podcast Editing
Use Keyboard Shortcuts: Learn shortcuts in your editing software to speed up the process.
Batch Process: Apply effects and adjustments to multiple files at once when possible.
Invest in Good Equipment: High-quality microphones and recording environments reduce the need for extensive editing.
Create a Template: Set up project templates with pre-configured tracks, effects, and settings to save time.
Stay Organized: Keep your files, audio clips, and project folders well-organized to avoid confusion.
Conclusion
Audio podcast editing is both an art and a science. It requires technical skills, a good ear, and attention to detail. Whether you're a beginner learning the basics or an experienced podcaster aiming for professional-quality sound, the key is continuous practice and experimentation. With the right tools, techniques, and a commitment to quality, you can create engaging, polished podcasts that captivate and grow your audience.

GROUP ETIQUETTE REMINDERS
Hey everyone!
We just wanted to touch base on a few topics regarding etiquette in the group, whether it's on the dashboard or when communicating with the staff team! No one is in trouble, we're just addressing some concerns that have both been brought to us, and others we've noticed on our own!
GENERAL
Please try to branch out and write with characters outside of your cast and friend groups. Doing so goes a long way towards making the group feel more inclusive, and also helps better protect your character slot in the case where someone files a hoarding case against you!
RP ads are a tool for getting interactions but are not obligations. If someone doesn't make a starter for you then that's okay! In the same vein, try not to make an ad if it seems likely you won't be able to fulfill it, and on the opposite end try not to like someone else's RP ad if you don't think you'll be able to reply to the starter. I'm sure we've all been in a situation where we've made a starter that was never replied to and know that it doesn't feel great!
Remember to communicate with your fellow members if something is wrong! If there's something wrong with the starter someone made for you, or someone has done something to make you uncomfortable unknowingly, it's better to let them know than say nothing and let misunderstandings fester!
DASHBOARD
As a reminder: we only allow three OOC posts per hour on a single account (though we are more lenient on Meme Fridays). This includes things like shitposts and posts that border IC and OOC like musings or dash commentary posts that are not formatted as regular RP posts. The dash is shared between all members, and it can be intrusive for some to have a wall of posts from people on the dash that are not IC. If we find members are posting OOC too often, we may tighten this rule in the future.
Because the dashboard is a shared space, please generally keep in mind the accessibility and comfort of other members on the dash. Brightly coloured text or overly busy icons can be an accessibility issue or potentially jarring for some members depending.
That said, as we have received asks about these types of things in the past, we do not police things like writing flourishes or icon styles and have no plans on doing so unless the colors are too harsh or it contains things like flashing gifs.
The best we can do is encourage unfollowing or blocking members that make your dashboard an unpleasant experience! It sucks to get blocked, but the only one who can curate your dashboard in the end is you! No one will ever get in trouble for unfollowing or blocking another member for personal comfort.
COMMUNICATION WITH STAFF
We do not reply to asks that are worded in a way that is aggressive or rude, especially if those asks are sent anonymously. This applies to asks directed at us and at your fellow group members, as we will not publish an ask that attacks anyone in the group either.
In general, we cannot respond to complaints or concerns that are sent anonymously if all relevant information isn't included in the ask. For example: if your complaint involves a dash habit that you think is an issue, we need examples of where to look, and specific reasons why you think its an issue. As a result, we encourage sending these types of asks off of anon instead.

its interesting i struggled mightily with my xena watch thru the first time i watched it i think the wide variation of tones and genre can feel kinda jarring when u have no clue where its going and i was watching it for like clips id seen of the operatic romance and epic scope stories and whatever and i kept like counting down til i got to destiny and the quest cuz i really wanted to see the world open up to know more about xenas backstory and of course the kiss i think in some ways the long path of xena alluding to a dark past with nothing concrete to grab onto felt very pointless until that episode and i felt unmoored in early episodes not sure of the trajectory and it was hard to figure out where the show was going since it also doesnt even really adhere to a basic episode structure that it was less predictable of a winning formula like the x files or i mean i didnt like a lot of early buffy but the simple monster of the week format was a lot stronger structurally than a lot of the early defend the random town plots in xena that sorta blend into each other and its at first also not as variable and experimental as star trek or doctor who in concept but once it begins branching out and getting a bit weirder which i mean already in dreamworker they were getting stuff worked out for what the winning formula of the show would be like sins of the past and dreamworker excellent hit rate for the early show but yeah idk i swear no other show have i ever been slower to watch id almost hit long pauses after every season and a half when it felt like the show was too different and i was like not sure how to continue like i think id get attached to certain moments and then it would slip away and i know a lot of people discuss it being hard to watch thru the first time and its so weird cuz i cant even see an echo of why i struggled that first time like on rewatch with the knowledge of where these storylines are going i can see how much the show feels like a puzzle slowly being put together some parts are less harmonious but it honestly has a remarkable level of connection from early season 1 to the rest of the show emotionally and character development wise and im just flying through it having the time of my life tbh... its a show that my love for it has only grown over time i liked it on the first round for sure but i did not really follow the long multi season long emotional strings i see now and plot lines sometimes seemed very confusing or i got lost trying to follow all the threads but i would rewatch various episodes and got more and more attached to them and its interesting the incessant rewatching out of order put the whole show into a really interesting spot where i had this partial vision of the show but sort of forgot just how much every episode even the bad ones had all these important character moments that become so much stronger when watched in order that it builds this beautiful web of things to observe........ literally a show of all time of all tiiiime

Snippet Sunday! What You Cast Out
After an ill-fated rescue landed a small family in their care, the party still has to find a way to protect Tracey from an eldritch abomination that's been sent after her. Don't worry. Billy has a plan.
Billy slid the bag of kibble and a plastic bowl into a canvas knapsack that seemed to be about a hundred years old. For all Gabe knew, it might actually have been that ancient. “My plan was to take Tracey somewhere safe in the morning,” he added. A jar of peanut butter and a loaf of bread joined the kibble. “Well, to take all of you. It hasn't changed, but the Nashes are going to have to come with us.”
“A safehouse?” Gabe asked.
“Not exactly.” Billy's smile was almost as mischievous as Tracey's usually was. “Clean out what you don't need from your bags. We have to take the evidence stuff, but electronics won't do well there and I don't know how long you'll be gone. We'll have to do some hiking, too, so think about weight.”
“Can I at least shower first?” Tracey asked. “Covered in gasoline, you know?”
Billy's smile became a grin. “We all need one, but you can follow Nash. I'll run today's stuff through the laundry when we're all done so we can travel clean, too.”
Tracey didn't bother with a chair for herself. She dropped her backpack onto the sofa next to Pertwee and began bundling her clothes out of the red college bag.
“Your boots are in the pile.” Gabe gestured up at the counter as he pulled his computer out of his own pack. Tracey actually squealed a little bit at that. She almost scrambled over to the box. Pertwee's computer joined Gabe's on the end table, followed by a cell phone charger and a pair of earbuds.
“You are awesome.” Tracey hugged the boots to her chest a bit as soon as she found them, then hesitated. Her face fell a little and she held them out somewhat. “There's still blood on these, isn't there?” Gabe nodded a small apology.
“Iron filings too,” Billy added from the kitchen. Gabe thought that he looked as though he smelled something unpleasant. “Why don't you hold off on those, we'll rinse them off outside before we leave.”
