Exactly one year ago today, we lost Jason David Frank. Of all celebrity deaths in the past few years, his hit me the hardest. JDF was not just the star of Power Rangers, but a member martial arts hall of fame, and a man I admired deeply since childhood. Even now, it’s hard to accept that he’s gone.

Rest in Peace Tommy. Wherever you are, may the power protect you. ⚡️🕯️

Just watched the Power Rangers episode of Max’s Hollywood Demons.

…..GaadddDammmmnnn…..so much I didn’t know as a long time fan. JDF had some deep ass issues….what a shame. He meant so much to so many.

As for Thuy, she didn’t wear her seatbelt, which likely ended her life from the car crash.

Glad they mentioned Austin St. John catching a charge for his covid relief fraud bullshit. Dude is one of those MAGA Christian shitheads that will never cop to any of his bullshit. I believe he beat the charge in the end, but fuck that man. I love his character to death, but the actor is nothing like Jason Scott. A Ranger doesn’t do fraud while telling people “they’re not living how the Bible says they should be living”—words I heard from his own mouth at Rangerstop Orlando 2019. Ok, ya thievin’ shit! 😂

様々に感じることのあった２回目の能登支援活動でした

１月１３日から１６日まで能登に行ってしました。その時に感じたことを通信にまとめました。

▲昨年３月末以来の現地入り、緊張しながら能登に向かいました。和倉温泉には新しい店も出来ていました���、温泉街の再開は見通せな��状況でした。輪島市内中心部は倒壊家屋が手付かずで残っているところが多く、壊れて放置された湘南ナンバーの車が目に飛び込んできました

▲昨年９月の豪雨災害の爪痕が多く残されていました。土砂を被った「白米千枚田」の本来の美しさから程遠い状態に呆然としました。「わたしらは地震だけだったが豪雨で被害にあった方が気の毒で仕方がない。ほんとに大変だと思う」と切々と語ったＡさんの言葉が心に残っています

▲病院や市役所への通院同行の支援活動に取り組みました。どの人も一人暮らしであちこちに病気がありますが、自分なりに組み立てながら生活されていました。複雑でわかにくい制度に悩まされる姿からは、そもそもの制度設計の問題や合理的配慮を徹底すべきだと感じました

▲福祉事業所訪問では、人員不足があり仕事も減る中で踏ん張っている仲間とスタッフの姿に励まされました。仮設朝市で買物をした時に、「遠い所から応援に来てくれてありがとう」と声をかけてくれました。被災者の言葉に耳を傾けることが、もっとも大事なことだと改めて感じました

▲その他にも複層的な課題を抱える事例に接する機会がありました。権利に基づく支援のためには権利に基づく法制度が必要で、社会保障・社会福祉制度を普段から使いやすい仕組みに整えることが大事だと感じています。支援活動は９月末まで続きますが、再度能登を訪れようと思います

追記…帰阪した翌日１８日に映画「港に灯がともる」を観ました。阪神淡路大震災をベースに復興・ＰＴＳＤ・在日韓国人の方の抱える問題などのテーマが盛り込まれ、一つひとつが深く胸に突き刺さりました。中々言葉に出来ませんが、自分と社会に問いかけたいと思いました。

【追記📝】

今日から久しぶりの九州・福岡、きょうされんの研修会に参加します。終わった後は大学の先輩に会って泊めてもらい、翌日は大分の友だちのところに行って大阪に戻ります。久しぶりに再会をとても楽しみにしています😊

Don't mind me as I just cry over Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. This Show, These Cbaracters, The Actors. It all means so much to me. It was an amazing part of my childhood. And I was so happy to fall in love with the series again. It helped me through a hard time in my life.

With the anniversary of JDF's passing coming up. It's made me realize that I didn't let myself grieve his loss. He was a big staple of my childhood, and Tommy as a character really helped me out. So I am finally letting myself cry and show how much I care.
