Part 2

Steve: pov might have been something in the air like anesthesia or something, Jules is very tiny compared to the size of a man. So whatever it was might have been too much for her system to handle.

Sam: pov any idea when she will wake up, Steve says nope but we need to move soon get her to the hospital. Greg already called Donna and team 3 should be here soon to take over the call. Another ambulance is going to take the other 2 officers as a precaution since they went into the building too. The medics suggested they should get checked out as a precaution. The ride to the hospital felt long even though it wasn't. The medics are wheeling her gurney into the trauma room, I'm going with her even if they say I can't. I'm still holding her hand.

Dr. Mitchell: pov what do we have here.

Steve: pov female SRU officer named Jules Callaghan her team was on a hot call at a warehouse once inside she fainted, her teammate Sam was doing CPR outside as I walked over since she wasn't breathing, Mandy gave her narcan because it looked an OD of sorts. From what Sam said it seems like it could have been anesthesia or something in the air because he felt sleepy.

Dr. Mitchell: pov i switch her to our monitors. Nurse fisher, what are her vitals.

Nurse fisher: pov her oxygen levels are still down, and everything else seems to be the same from the vitals the medics gave us. I take some of her blood to test it. We should get the results soon.

Dr. Mitchell: pov does she have any medical conditions.

Sam: pov she was shot a few years ago on a hot call through and through, she was also exposed to anthrax and had a piece of shrapnel hit an artery in her left arm on a different hot call.

Dr. Mitchell: pov we have 2 options for Jules oxygen wise: keep her on the high setting on the oxygen mask or temporarily put her on the breathing tube, she also needs scans to check her neurological function. Her having been exposed to anthrax previously concerns me a lot.

Sam: pov do whatever is best for her. Are the scans because the lack of oxygen could cause long term problems for her.

Dr. Mitchell: pov yes, Nurse fisher can you get the kit for me, once the tube is in place and secured I have her tape it down. A catheter is also inserted since she is unconscious. Constable Braddock is holding Jules's hand. Nurse fisher can you monitor her while i call down and see if the scan room is open. Once that is done she can be moved to the ICU.

Greg: pov Leah is conscious now but out of it, the medics are monitoring her vitals and giving her some extra oxygen to help her breathe better.

Ed: pov Spike is conscious but out of it a little, the medics are monitoring his vitals and giving him extra oxygen.

Greg: pov at the ER I’m told she may have nausea or vomiting and some other symptoms. Hey wordy it's me Greg I just wanted to call and let you know that Spike, Leah and Jules are in the ER.

Wordy: pov how seriously are they injured.

Greg: pov Spike and Leah are okay, they are here for monitoring and some extra oxygen. No update on Jules yet, she was unconscious from what I know and not breathing.

Wordy: pov what happened.

Greg: pov We were on a hot call at a warehouse all of us split up into groups of 2 when all of a sudden Jules fainted inside the warehouse Sam managed to get her outside, Spike and Leah didn't look good either, they think it was some type of anesthesia or some type of drug that makes you sleepy that came through the vents.

Wordy: pov i’m going to talk with my boss and let him know it's an emergency. I should be there soon.

Greg: pov I'm going to call Ed while Leah gets settled in her room.

Ed: pov At the ER Spike is taken to a room to be looked at. The Dr named Moore asks the medics what his condition is. Spike will need to be monitored closely but should be fine. A nurse will get him settled on the general ward. I'm okay but might be a little more tired than normal. Greg calls to see where I am and if I heard anything about Jules.

Greg: pov i'm fine, no update from Sam so I don't know how bad Jules is. I will call/text him now, Leah is being admitted for observation just as a precaution. I called Wordy to let him know what happened. He should be here soon.

Ed: pov glad to hear it's not too bad, Sam hasn't replied to my text either. Let's go to the receptionist desk and ask if they know what room she is in. They should know that info.

Sam: pov there is an opening in the scan room so Jules is being taken down there now I'm allowed to go with her, just not in the scan room I can sit with the technician who is doing the scan.

Greg: pov me and Ed meet up near the reception desk, I just got off the phone with Donna team 3 is on the scene and is clearing the warehouse in protective gear, should no more later. The receptionist's name is Eleanor Jones. I hope she can give us more info. Hi Eleanor my name is Sergeant Greg Parker and I'm looking for info on one of my team members, a constable Jules Callaghan she was brought in earlier.

Eleanor Jones: pov it looks like constable Callaghan was brought in unconscious, barely breathing and symptoms of an OD she is in the scan room at the moment, she should be settled in her room shortly if you want I can give you the directions to the waiting room on that floor. To be continued. ………..

A special Flashpoint fan fiction

In a heartbeat.

Part 1

Spike: pov i arrive early for our workouts and head to the looker room to get dressed in my uniform all the guys from team one are already here. I see Jules and Leah leaving the woman's room in their uniforms as we head to the briefing room to go over the plans for today. Greg got us all coffee since everyone already ate. Looks like we are doing drills in our uniforms today.

Leah: pov after running around a bit in our uniforms, we practice some negotiation drills, then head inside for a water break. Thankfully it's not too hot outside.

Winnie: pov hot call team one gear up hostage situation at an abandoned warehouse, 911 caller says he saw 2 men entered the warehouse and the one had a gun pointed at the other guy.

Greg: pov we quickly get our gear and load the suv. Winnie gave us the address and as much info as she can get. The subject is a tall man about 6ft white average weight with short black hair. The other guy is skinny, a little shorter and also white with long brown hair. Not much to go on, the caller didn't leave his name or number. I will take Spike with me, Ed You can take Leah in your car, Jules can ride with Sam.

Jules: pov Sam how about after shift we order takeout and watch a movie have a nice quiet evening together. There's that new sushi place that opened near us and they do deliver.

Sam: pov sounds good to me.

Ed: pov Greg, Spike found floor plans for the warehouse wow it's big, way to many exits. We don't know where the hostage is so we will have to enter the Building and clear it. How about you and Leah enter through the back, Sam and Jules through the right side, me and Spike can go through the left side and 2 other officers can go through the front. Once the building is clear and we have a visual of the hostage situation then we can get into position. All of us grab our guns from the car.

Jules: pov me and Sam run towards the door stealthfully with our guns drawn, it's pitch black inside so I can't see anything thankfully our guns have flashlights attached to them. Sam holds the door open for me. It looks like it leads to another room, I can see a door on the other side. Which Sam is having trouble opening. Maybe it is stuck or has to be pushed instead of pulled. Hey Greg we have a door in front of us that Sam is trying to open should we go through it once it's open. He says yes if we can. I immediately feel sleepy like I can't stay awake, I manage to tell Sam I don't feel good. I can hear the door finally open before everything starts going black.

Sam: pov one second Jules is telling me she doesn't feel good next thing I know I'm catching her as she faints. I definitely feel sleepy. I grab Jules and carry her out of the building while telling the others to get out now, something is wrong. Thankfully we have medics on standby who can look at her, she isn't breathing.

Greg: pov I can hear Jules saying she doesn't feel well and Sam shouting officer down, and to get out of the building. I'm starting to feel a little sleepy. I grab Leah and help her get out of the building. I can hear Ed and Sam shouting something that doesn't sound good either.

Sam: pov I start CPR on Jules until the medic who turns out to be Steve can take over CPR on her. Come on Jules, stay with me. The other medic who is a woman has me bags her airway as it's called while she starts an IV on Jules for fluids to flush whatever it is out. She says it looks like an OD of some kind, and administrator's narcan. I hear Steve say she's back, let's switch her to the oxygen mask. They hook her up to some monitors, Jules is still unconscious, Steve is shining a light in her eyes to check her pupils and to see if she can follow it.

Greg: pov Once the sleepy feeling leaves I think i’ll be fine. Leah looks unconscious, I'm making sure she is okay.

Steve: pov I'm not sure if she can breathe on her own without the oxygen mask. I ask Sam what happened and he says he isn't sure just that Jules said she wasn't feeling well and fainted.

Ed: pov spike doesn't look so good either barely conscious, more medics should be arriving on scene soon a medic named Carlos appears and puts an oxygen mask on spike to help him breathe better an iv is inserted into his arm. I wonder how Jules is doing because it doesn't sound too good. I hear words like not breathing, narcan and she's back. Isn't narcan for drug overdoses. Carlos is getting ready to load Spike into the ambulance. Hey Greg I'm riding with Spike to the ER. He is barely conscious and out of it, the medics also want to check me out.

Greg: pov thanks to Sam's warning we get out of the building quickly, Leah doesn't seem to be doing okay either she is unconscious. An EMT named O'Brian puts an oxygen mask on Leah's face and inserts an IV into her arm, taping it in place. He is getting ready to load her into an ambulance. Hey Ed I'm riding with Leah because the medic wants to check me out also as a precaution.

Sam: pov Greg ask me over the com link how i am, I tell him I'm fine, I definitely felt sleepy after Jules said she didn't feel good. Greg mentions he did too, could we have been drugged. I hear Ed say probably it makes sense. To be continued. ….
