How to Juggle Your Time and Study for the IIT-JEE While Studying in School
The students have already started preparing themselves for the IIT-JEE exam. Pressure, as ever, is enormous and gets tougher by the day. JEE is one of India's premier engineering exams and the aspiration of many young students. But many are confronted with the challenge of dividing their time between a national-level competitive exam and school life.
All the hopefuls desire success in the very first attempt, and the pressure that comes with it can be overwhelming, rendering their daily lives stressful and the allocation of an ideal time a major task. To perform well on both their IIT-JEE and high school examinations, students require an organised strategy of how to allocate their time wisely. This is where an input of wisdom from the Best IIT-JEE Coaching in Bhopal, like the Narayana Coaching Centre Bhopal, can be so useful, giving students a tried and tested system for success.
What does time management hold for students?
Time management is one of the most important activities for any student to incorporate into their daily schedule. Its function begins at the beginning of the day. It is the critical process of setting plans and arrangements for the distribution of time to various tasks and activities. The main reason for time management is to make a student more efficient, effective, and productive.
Proper time management demands a mix of skills and tactics to achieve specific goals or tasks by their due date. An important aspect of this procedure is setting priorities and planning strategically to differentiate them from unimportant work. In the past, time management would typically be thought of as only incorporating work or professional tasks; however, a well-thought-out plan should include personal activities as well. Students have to devise a method to plan their time accordingly to prepare for both their IIT-JEE and school exams.
Time Management Tips to Prepare for the IIT-JEE and School Concurrently
Below are some tips to help you manage your time as you prepare for the IIT-JEE and your School Board examination.
Start Early
Among the greatest challenges that students encounter is a shortage of time for preparation. If students begin their preparation before the same syllabus is taught in school, they can save valuable time. By the time the school begins teaching the syllabus, they will already have a grasp of the material and can use the class time for revision. The same applies to JEE preparation; the earlier one starts, the more beneficial it is. This is the most important and first step for those keen on cracking the JEE entrance exam.
Distribute Your Time
Another important step is strategic time allocation. Split your time according to syllabus demands and the estimated hours for preparation for both the JEE and school exams. Allocate specific hours for solving the tricky problems of the JEE, and assign fixed periods for preparing the school syllabus for each subject.
Set Aside Time for Practice
Dedicate specific hours to practising with mock tests and past years' papers for the JEE exam for all three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Study these papers to determine patterns in question repetition and to assess the difficulty levels you can handle. This will enhance your efficiency and speed in solving. Concomitantly, make short notes of major concepts and formulae specifically for your JEE preparation.
Review Notes regularly
Regular review of your notes will cause you to refresh all that you have learned before. For both the JEE as well as school boards, the process of taking notes is very effective, since it allows you to learn things quickly as soon as you put them down in writing. Reviewing your notes at an interval of every two weeks ensures that information remains in your long-term memory.
Recheck Extensively
In order to be precise with your answers, consistent practice and revision are necessary. The more you practice revising important facts and formulae, the better placed they will be in your memory. Practice as many problems as you can in order to achieve the level of precision needed. Settle any doubts beforehand with your teachers, and give special practice to the categories of questions where you tend to go wrong most.
Get Adequate Sleep
This is an all too common, but very important part of managing time. Getting enough sleep recharges and refreshes your mind so that it functions more effectively. For the proper working of the body as well as the mind, it is necessary to get a minimum of 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
If you are dedicated to preparing for the IIT-JEE exam. Narayana Coaching Bhopal, one of the best IIT-JEE coaching centres in Bhopal, provides dedicated courses for candidates who are looking to ace the exam. Our experienced faculty will guide and mentor you through every step of the process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it possible to perform well in both the IIT-JEE and my board exams at the same time?
Yes. Though difficult, it is very much possible with a planned strategy and regular discipline. The secret is not to consider them as two distinct, opposing tasks, but as complementary objectives. The basic principles in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are shared by both syllabi. By understanding these concepts at a more profound level for the JEE, you will necessarily discover that your performance in your school board examinations has greatly improved. A planned study schedule is the key to unlocking such synergy.
In what way can a coaching centre such as Narayana assist in overcoming this particular issue of time management?
This is exactly where enrolling in the Best IIT-JEE Coaching in Bhopal gives one a definite edge. In Narayana Coaching Centre Bhopal, our study course is carefully planned such that it harmonises with the school syllabus, reducing conflict of schedules. Our trained faculty offers a well-structured schedule, carefully designed study material that saves you research time, and constant tests that monitor your progress for both exams. We offer the structure and guidance required to deal with the pressures of this double prep, transforming a potential issue into a manageable and triumphant process.
What do I do if my school syllabus and coaching syllabus are not well coordinated?
This is an easy and normal scenario. The best approach is to be ahead of your school curriculum in the coaching centre. If you study a subject at Narayana beforehand, you will have a clear conceptual grip. When the same subject is later covered in school, it will be an outstanding revision class that will reinforce your learning and clear any lingering doubts. Regular contact with your teachers in both institutions may also address any serious gaps.
How many hours daily should I spend on self-study for this twin preparation?
There is no one magic number, because the emphasis always needs to be on the quality of study rather than the quantity of hours. That said, one generally recommended formula for success is working towards a regular 4-6 hours of dedicated, distraction-free self-study per day, in addition to your school and coaching class time. This time needs to be split strategically between learning new ideas, practising problems, and reviewing old topics, as set down in your customised timetable.
How significant are recreational activities and breaks in such a rigorous preparation timetable?
Not only are they important, but they are crucial to long-term performance and psychological health. Constant, uninterrupted studying causes mental exhaustion and burnout, reducing the efficiency of learning and retention. Having short, frequent breaks during studying (e.g., every 10 minutes) and dedicating an hour or so to a leisure activity such as sport, music, or just taking a walk can greatly enhance your focus and productivity. A well-rested mind is immensely more open to intricate knowledge than a tired one.

Top Benefits of Joining a Physics Learning Center in Dum Dum for NEET and IIT-JEE Preparation
If you're aiming to crack NEET or IIT-JEE and are based in or around Kolkata, choosing the right Physics Learning Center in Dum Dum could be one of the most important decisions you make. A dedicated Physics Learning Center in Dum Dum offers expert guidance, structured preparation, and the focused environment needed to excel in these highly competitive exams. In this blog, we explore the major benefits of enrolling in such a center—and how it can strengthen your conceptual foundation, boost your confidence, and significantly improve your chances of success in NEET and IIT-JEE.

🔍 Why Physics Is Crucial for NEET & JEE Aspirants
Physics is a make-or-break subject for most aspirants. Unlike Biology (NEET) or Chemistry (both exams), Physics is conceptual and numerically intensive, which requires strong problem-solving skills, real-time application, and consistent practice.
For IIT-JEE aspirants, Physics is often considered the most challenging paper, demanding both theoretical understanding and mathematical precision.
For NEET aspirants, Physics holds 25% weightage and is usually the lowest-scoring section among students due to tricky numericals and time-consuming calculations.
This makes quality Physics coaching not just helpful—but essential.
🏫 Why Choose a Dum Dum Physics Learning Center?
Dum Dum has emerged as a growing education hub in North Kolkata, with numerous coaching institutes, accessibility via metro and public transport, and a student-friendly environment. Here's why a Physics learning center in Dum Dum for NEET and IIT-JEE offers a competitive edge:
✅ 1. Expert Faculty with Exam-Specific Experience
Leading Physics coaching centers in Dum Dum are run by experienced Physics teachers who specialize in competitive exams. They are well-versed with:
Exam patterns (JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET)
Most probable questions
Problem-solving strategies
Conceptual shortcuts
Their expertise helps students understand concepts from the ground up, making it easier to tackle even the most complex numerical problems.
✅ 2. Structured Curriculum Aligned with JEE & NEET Syllabus

Concept mapping and error analysis
These help you gain confidence, speed, and accuracy—essential for high scores.
✅ 4. Personalized Attention in Small Batches
One of the biggest advantages of local learning centers in Dum Dum is their student-teacher ratio. Unlike crowded city chains, these centers often maintain:
Small, focused batches
One-on-one mentorship
Personal doubt-clearing sessions
This allows for customized learning, especially helpful for students struggling with certain chapters like Electrodynamics or Rotational Motion.
✅ 5. Affordable & Accessible Location
Located in a well-connected part of Kolkata, Dum Dum offers:
Proximity to metro stations and bus routes
Lower cost of coaching compared to central Kolkata
Safe and academically focused environment
This makes it budget-friendly and time-saving, especially for students from North and East Kolkata, Barasat, Nagerbazar, or Lake Town.
✅ 6. Supportive Peer Environment & Motivation
Being part of a Physics-focused batch surrounded by equally driven students creates an ecosystem of learning and growth. Daily interactions, peer discussions, and competitive mock rankings push you to perform better.

JEE MAINS vs. JEE ADVANCED: Key Differences and Study Approaches
Introduction
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is divided into two stages: JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. While JEE Mains is the first step for engineering aspirants aiming for NITs, IIITs, and other top institutes, JEE Advanced is the gateway to the prestigious IITs. Understanding the differences between these two exams and adopting the right preparation strategies is crucial for success.
Differences in Syllabus, Difficulty Level, and Pattern
JEE Mains:
Covers NCERT syllabus with straightforward questions.
Focuses on speed, accuracy, and conceptual clarity.
Has a fixed exam pattern with MCQs and numerical-type questions.
JEE Advanced:
Covers in-depth topics and requires strong problem-solving skills.
Questions are often multi-conceptual, requiring deep analytical thinking.
Exam pattern varies each year, making adaptability essential.
Ideal Preparation Strategy for Each Stage
JEE Mains:
Build a strong foundation with NCERT textbooks.
Focus on formula-based and direct application questions.
Solve previous years' papers to understand common question trends.
Prioritize speed and accuracy to excel in the objective format.
JEE Advanced:
Strengthen conceptual understanding with high-level reference books.
Practice solving complex problems that require multiple concepts.
Focus on logical reasoning and application-based learning.
Develop time management skills for solving lengthy questions efficiently.
Mistakes Students Make in Transitioning from Mains to Advanced
Underestimating JEE Advanced Complexity: Many students assume JEE Advanced is just a tougher version of Mains, but it requires a completely different problem-solving approach.
Ignoring Subjective Problem Solving: Unlike Mains, Advanced questions often require detailed multi-step solutions rather than quick calculations.
Lack of Adaptability: Since JEE Advanced changes its pattern frequently, students should practice a variety of question formats.
Conclusion: How to Balance Preparation for Both Effectively
Success in both JEE Mains and Advanced requires a dual strategy:
Start with NCERT and master basic concepts for Mains before moving to Advanced-level questions.
Develop a habit of tackling high-order thinking problems for Advanced preparation.
Use mock tests and previous year papers to adjust to different question formats.
By strategically preparing for both exams, students can maximize their chances of securing top ranks in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, paving the way for a bright future in engineering.

I am a regular cbse student who will be in 12th this year. How can I prepare for physics now that cbse is giving such tough questions. How did you prepare that student for the exam ?
ok so here is a full prepared plan for you to score above 95 in boards given you are studying physics everyday from start of the year. Let us take the first chapter electrostatics
Watch Lectures of alakh sir and make notes ( main formulas and points , they should be concise )
Solve all NCERT examples , intext questions and back exercise ( some of the questions in this year's exam were twisted ncert questions , I observed that )
Last 10 yr JEE mains pyqs and last 10 year cbse board pyqs ( I got JEE pyqs from google and used arihant chapterwise question bank for board pyqs ). Solve sample papers when cbse relases it
Do not skip any step. The boy I tutored had his theory clear and did all ncert exercise so I just made him do JEE mains pyqs and board pyqs of every chapter and I would solve and teach him all questions he wasn't able to understand.
Hope this helps. Best of luck !!

10 Most Common Mistakes NEET Aspirants Must Avoid: A Must-Read Guide for Success
Every year, lakhs of aspirants prepare with dreams of cracking NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and securing a seat in prestigious medical colleges. However, despite hard work, many fail to achieve their goals. Why?
Because success in NEET is not just about studying hard — it’s about studying smart and avoiding mistakes that can cost you your dream.
In this blog, we’ll explore the 10 most common mistakes NEET aspirants make and how you can avoid them to stay ahead of the competition.
Also visit: JEE Main Mock test
📍 1. Ignoring the NCERT Textbooks
One of the biggest blunders NEET aspirants make is sidelining NCERT, especially for Biology.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
Around 85–90% of Biology questions in NEET are directly or indirectly from NCERT.
Even Chemistry and Physics contain several direct questions from NCERT content.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Read NCERT line by line.
Highlight important points and make short notes.
Revise NCERT at least 5–6 times before the exam.
Also visit: AFCAT mock tests
📍 2. Skipping Mock Tests and Previous Year Papers
Practicing mock tests is non-negotiable.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
NEET is a time-bound exam. Without practice, time management becomes a huge hurdle.
You won’t identify your weak areas or develop exam temperament.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Solve previous 10 years' question papers.
Take full-length NEET UG Mock Test at least once a week initially, then 3–4 times/week as NEET nears.
Analyze your mistakes after every test.
Also visit: CUET UG Mock Test
📍 3. Neglecting Physics
Most NEET aspirants fear Physics and end up ignoring it, focusing only on Biology and Chemistry.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
Physics carries 25% of the total marks.
A poor score in Physics can significantly lower your overall percentile.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Understand concepts, don’t just memorize formulas.
Solve numerical problems daily.
Focus more on Units & Measurements, Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Modern Physics, etc.
Also visit: NDA Mock Test
📍 4. Over-Reliance on Coaching Materials
While coaching modules help, many students completely ignore NCERT and become dependent on their coaching material.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
Coaching material often includes extra, unnecessary topics that won’t be asked in NEET.
NCERT remains the core content.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Use coaching modules only as supplementary practice.
Always complete your NCERT first, then refer to other materials.
Also visit: CDS Mock Test
📍 5. Lack of a Proper Timetable
Many aspirants either follow unrealistic routines or have no timetable at all.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
Without a study schedule, you’ll waste time and lose consistency.
Important topics may get skipped.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Create a personalized timetable based on your strengths and weaknesses.
Allocate time for revision, mock tests, and breaks.
Stick to the plan as consistently as possible.

📍 6. Ignoring Revision
Some aspirants keep learning new topics but forget to revise what they’ve already studied.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
NEET requires quick recall. Without revision, you'll forget what you studied weeks ago.
You may feel unprepared during the final months.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Keep one day a week for revision.
Use flashcards, short notes, and formula sheets.
Revise Biology diagrams and Chemistry reactions regularly.

📍 7. Not Clearing Doubts on Time
Students often ignore their doubts thinking they'll solve them later — but "later" never comes.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
Unresolved doubts pile up, weaken your concepts, and hurt confidence.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Maintain a doubt notebook and get help from teachers, mentors, or platforms like EaseToLearn AI Teacher or YouTube.
Discuss with peers or join doubt-solving groups.
📍 8. Inconsistent Study Routine
Studying 10 hours for one day and then doing nothing for 3 days is a recipe for disaster.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
NEET demands daily preparation, not bursts of effort.
Long gaps in study time break your momentum and focus.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Set realistic daily study targets.
Even 5 focused hours every day are better than erratic long hours.
Use the Pomodoro Technique to stay productive.
📍 9. Underestimating Mental and Physical Health
Ignoring sleep, diet, and mental health affects concentration, memory, and stress levels.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
Burnout is common before NEET, especially if you’re overworking without self-care.
Anxiety and fatigue reduce exam-day performance.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Get 7–8 hours of sleep.
Eat a balanced diet and stay hydrated.
Practice light meditation or exercise daily.
Talk to friends or counselors if you're feeling overwhelmed.
📍 10. Comparing Your Progress with Others
Constant comparison with friends or online aspirants leads to demotivation and self-doubt.
👉 Why it's a mistake:
Everyone learns at a different pace.
Stressing over others’ scores or ranks derails your focus.
🛠️ How to avoid it:
Set personal benchmarks, not peer benchmarks.
Celebrate your small wins — like completing a topic or improving mock test scores.
Track your own growth, not others’.
🏁 Final Words: Smart Work > Hard Work
NEET is not just a test of knowledge — it's a test of discipline, planning, and emotional strength. Avoiding these common mistakes gives you a competitive edge over thousands of aspirants.

PHYSICS- Must have books-
1. HC Verma- God book of JEE Physics. Must do for all. Read theory and solve questions. As many as possible. If you are buying one book, this is it.
2. NCERT- Another must have. Reading NCERT will help you answer the theoretical problems asked in the paper, and will help you with JEE (Main).
It will give you a heads up for boards too. Also, see the links below for all four books (read both parts of classes 11th and 12th).

How to Prepare Smartly for B.Tech Entrance Exam 2025
Preparing for B.Tech entrance exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, VITEEE, and others requires a strategic approach, discipline, and consistent effort. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you maximize your preparation and boost your chances of success:
1. Start Early and Plan Strategically
Begin your preparation as early as possible, ideally from Class 11 onwards, to ensure ample time for all topics and revision.
Create a realistic study plan that covers the entire syllabus, allocates time for each subject, and includes regular breaks to avoid burnout.
Stick to your timetable and adjust it as needed based on your progress and comfort with different subjects.
2. Understand the Syllabus and Exam Pattern
Thoroughly familiarize yourself with the syllabus and exam pattern of your targeted entrance exams (JEE Main, VITEEE, etc.).
Identify high-weightage topics and prioritize them in your study plan.
Knowing the structure (number of questions, marking scheme, types of questions) helps in strategizing your approach during the exam.
3. Focus on Concepts, Not Just Memorization
Develop a strong understanding of fundamental concepts in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics rather than rote learning formulas.
Conceptual clarity enables you to tackle application-based and tricky questions more effectively.
4. Use Quality Study Materials
Start with NCERT textbooks to build your basics, then move on to standard reference books (e.g., RD Sharma for Maths, HC Verma for Physics, Arihant for Chemistry).
Choose study materials that offer clear explanations, ample practice questions, and previous years’ solved papers.
5. Practice Regularly with Previous Year Papers and Mock Tests
Solve previous years’ question papers to understand the exam’s difficulty level, question trends, and time management.
Take full-length mock tests under exam-like conditions, ideally at the same time as the actual exam, to build stamina and get comfortable with the test environment.
Analyze your performance in mock tests to identify weak areas and focus your revision accordingly.
6. Make Short Notes and Revise Consistently
Prepare concise notes or flashcards for important formulas, concepts, and shortcuts during your study sessions.
Use these notes for quick revision, especially in the final weeks before the exam.
Regular revision helps reinforce learning and improves recall during the exam.
7. Manage Your Time Effectively
Allocate more time to difficult subjects or topics and ensure balanced coverage of all areas.
Practice solving questions within the allotted time to enhance speed and accuracy.
Avoid spending too much time on a single question during the exam; move on and return if time permits.
8. Seek Clarification and Support
Don’t hesitate to ask teachers, mentors, or peers for help if you encounter difficult concepts or doubts.
Join study groups or coaching if you need additional guidance or motivation.
9. Take Care of Your Health and Well-being
Maintain a healthy diet, stay hydrated, and get adequate sleep to keep your mind sharp and focused.
Practice relaxation techniques like meditation to manage exam stress and improve concentration.
10. Stay Updated and Motivated
Keep track of exam notifications, important dates, and any changes in the syllabus or pattern.
Stay motivated by setting short-term goals and rewarding yourself for achieving them.
By following these tips and maintaining a disciplined, positive approach, Arya College of Engineering & IT provides guidance to significantly enhance your performance in the B.Tech entrance exams and secure admission to your desired engineering college.
