"That's because it's not that hard- here, give me that-"

Julius was indeed playing the part of the hapless uncle very well today, much to Silas's dismay and to Lisa and Rhya's amusement. Silas had invited the pair over to their garden for the day to help with some repotting and other tasks. Lisa had been over to help a few times before, but Julius had been itching to "get outside and get his hands in the dirt" as well.

Julius cleared his throat, looking a bit sheepish as he sat back on his heels as Silas took over, untangling the roots of two plants that Julius had been attempting to replant. "No harm done, see? You just have to stay a bit more organized, that's all."

"Organized? No way."

Silas turned to the source of the giggles to see Lisa and Rhya working on their own plot, watching their significant others struggle to work together. "You need to keep a close eye on him, Silas," Lisa warned. "We tried to grow some flowers in our window a while ago... I looked away for one second and they were dead."

"Hey!" Julius scowled, but couldn't help but chuckle a little. "I'm not talented like all of you."

"It's not talent, just hard work. I'm sure you can do it," Silas assured him, giving Julius a rare smile.

"Thanks, Silas."

"Hey, let's go get that lemonade, I'm parched." Silas felt a hand on his shoulder, and looked up to see Rhya standing there with a smile on his face. The elf was wearing a big hat to avoid getting his ears burnt; although a bit silly-looking, Silas thought it was pretty stylish. "yeah, let's go."

The two of them walked towards the house, leaving Lisa to supervise Julius's next gardening endeavor. "They're interesting people..." Rhya said, glancing back at them. "Who knew a year ago that the two of us would be going on a date with the Wizard King?"

"No me, for sure," Silas answered, opening the door for the two of them. They were already looking forward to the cold lemonade on this hot day. "But... I'm glad it turned out this way."

Rhya smiled, reaching out to squeeze his lovers shoulder affectionately.

"Me too... I love this life we've built together."
