GMMTV Outing 2024 out of context (not that it would make more sense with context) - part 1

Some viewers will argue that the show is bringing incoherent message with how they present the disparities between the rich and the poor (and other 'big' societal issues).

However, I think the show is quite consistent in showing that all the ghosts featured in each episode have one thing in common: they all want something that is uniquely personal to them.

Like, yeah, Kan's father is stellar community leader who cared deeply for his neighbours. But on his deathbed, the only thing he is concerned about is his only daughter and his fervent wish for her to make friends and live happily. And if that wish comes in the form of the grandson whose family he despised, would it mattered?

Because regardless of how brief their time together was, it was easy to see in the way Kan relays her day to her comatosed dad that she unwittingly, unintentionally, made good friends with Home, Peach, and Pang (and by extension, also Suradech).

It might be incomprehensible for some people but think about it: If you are in the same situation, barely hanging onto life, would it really matter how your wish is granted as long as it comes true?

Finally out of his marriage, Daniel has wasted no time in putting himself back out there. Sure, his kids won’t speak to him but meh, they’ll get over it one day and come back to him.

However, he does find himself missing having someone who’s always there - someone to come home to. For years he’s always had Mary-Sue and the girls waiting at home for him. To come back to a lonely apartment everyday….well it’s definitely a shock to his system. That’s why he invites one of his many uh….girlfriend to move in with him. Sandy’s fun and she operates on the same ‘no strings attached’ mindset as he does so there’s no worry about jealousy or being caught cheating - she just doesn’t care. It’s perfect…
