7 JAPANESE TECHNIQUES TO OVERCOME LAZINESS
1. Kaizen – Making small improvements Kaizen refers to focusing on small improvements, every day. Aiming to become 1% better each day rather than striving for perfection from the outset. Kaizen encourages making small, achievable goals and slow gains. Try this: Incorporate the philosophy of Kaizen in your life by making your bed before you leave your bedroom in the morning. A small practice…

Y/N spent the better part of two months learning how to keep the evidence of her shattered heart under lock and key. She spent the first week following Giyuu’s departure in bed, unable to bear rising and facing a new sunrise that she knew he was not guaranteed to have seen. But Y/N had only ever been able to count on herself, and so, the young Miko rose on that seventh day and bathed and dressed and ate with her fellow shrine maidens, forcing herself to laugh alongside them and chat animatedly with them until her smile did not feel so artificial.
She spent the endless stretch of days eagerly doing every possible chore around the shrine compound, begging her sisters in training to allow her to take over their responsibilities. When she ran out of things to do at the shrine, she beseeched Granny to send her on errands around the nearby villages, to offer talismans and prayers, anything that required that she speak with others and not have to listen to the thoughts trying to consume her mind.
Never did she return to the garden hut; she kept her tools stashed in the newly rebuilt storeroom, refusing to even look at toward the solitary structure where he’d given her his love. If she did, she might see the swordsman emerge from the doorway, only to fade into the snow once more, and she could not bear it.
Falling into step with mundanity gradually became easier until following the motions of her new routine required no thought at all. And so, Y/N devoted herself to keeping as physically busy as possible so that she’d have no choice but to collapse into her bed at the end of the day, too exhausted to allow herself to dally in dreams of azure eyes and the scent of citrused mahogany.
Not that her efforts were very successful. Though, Y/N supposed she should count herself lucky that Granny knew that under the dark blanket of night, the priestess-in-training cried bitter tears into the soft blankets of her futon, unable to continue choking down the bitterness of her despair.

having technical jjk (magic system) questions i would like to ask gege:
if sorcerers awaken their cursed technique around 6 or 7 years of age how did they know that Satoru Gojo had both the six eyes and the limitless when he was born? (obviously they would be able to tell for the six eyes since that’s a physical trait and not a CT but what about limitless)
was he an exception that manifested his CT early? are there hints of the cursed technique before that point? is there some other way for the Gojo clan to tell? or did the whole conversation around his bounty only happen when he was around 6 or 7 and he was being raised as a normal child of the clan up to that age?
or do the six eyes only show up once every 4-5 centuries so jujutsu society know that if someone is born with those they are gonna have the limitless too (since gege has mentioned that there are other limitless users who can’t really do much with the technique since they need the six eyes to understand and control limitless, but he hasn’t said anything about people having the six eyes without limitless) (EDIT: I CHECKED THE FANBOOK AND IT DID IN FACT SAY THAT THAT WAS THE CASE, so they knew as soon as they saw his eyes)
other question:
Can sorcerer kids that are too young to have their cursed techniques yet already see curses? or is there some neuro developmental reason that makes it so the part of them that is in charge of both only really starts around that age? do windows/people who can see curses but don’t have curses techniques only start seeing them around that age too?

One of my favorite facts about "Poupée de cire, poupée de son" (1965 winner) is that it had a Japanese translation sung by Gall herself. No, I'm not kidding. This is real.
youtube
Sharing it because I'm wondering how many people knew. It's still a little wild to me that this is actually real.

Sashiko, the traditional Japanese technique of needlework quilting, uses simple running stitch to create beautifully decorative patterns ideal for patchwork, quilting and embroidery. Sashiko (pronounced shash-ko) means 'stab stitch' and refers to the small running stitch that is worked to build up distinctive decorative patterns, of which there are hundreds. The book begins by exploring the origins of the technique to strengthen clothes and to make them warmer. Getting Started describes everything you need to begin stitching, including selecting suitable fabrics and threads, marking out patterns on the fabric, as well as the stitching technique itself. Ten project chapters show how easy it is to use sashiko patterns to make beautiful items for the home. The sashiko patterns are described in step-by-step detail in the pattern library, showing you exactly how to achieve each individual pattern with ease. Finally a gallery of work by contemporary Japanese textile artists provides extra inspiration.
