Day two

Here’s my participation for Day two : Favourite AU, of the Jaspidot Week! 

It was, so fun to draw.  The context?  Jaspidot Gemling. Jasper and Peridot accidentally shared too much light and they created a geode. The day Peridot and Jasper became parents.

Day 2 - Fave AU

BECAUSE...it’s still not day 3 yet in the UK so nyah ha ha!  Have a snippet of the AU idea I have had for along time as my offering. I would have had more but I’m also in the middle of a RP over skype! (In which I’m literally playing Werewolf Jasper.) Jasper is a demon that has been bound to Peridot accidentally, realised the tiny human is a walking mess and has gone ‘I CAN’T HAVE THIS!’ and so is using her powers to make Peridot’s life a lot better. Enjoy.  Peridot thought agreeing to play with an old 'spell' book was going to be fun, that none of this even existed. Until she was walking home one day, earphones on, music loud enough to drown out the world around her and her head fully immersed in her phone as she crossed the road. When a car came speeding towards her, she had seconds to react, she couldn't move out of the way, her life flashed before her eyes until it ground to a halt, the front bumper bending in as if something had forcefully stopped it dead. As the crowds gathered, taking pictures Peridot ran off in a panic. Confused at what has just happened. She should have been seriously hurt, or killed by that car instead it looked as if something had punched it.

Sitting at home, she watched as her Twitter feed blew up. People posting up photos of the accident, talking about what had happened, then one picture caught her eye. It was taken seconds after the car had been crushed, it was only a strange shape in the picture. You could barely make it out, but it was enough of a form to look like...something. "Okay...okay..breath 'Dot...breath..." her hands were shaking with the come down from the rush of adrenaline, her heart was pounding against her chest, "What happened was an accident, there's a logical reason for it, surely the car must have had a fault, or hit a bollard or..." Peridot paced from room to room, muttering to herself over and over trying to work this out logically but each reason she came up with had her looking back to her phone and disprove herself with each photo. None of this made sense to her.

Then, walking by the mirror, she caught a glimpse at the reflection. Another pair of eyes staring back at her, viscous and golden. Stopping, she turned and looked directly at the mirror now, as another face, over her shoulder came into view. This face wasn't human. It's huge fangs stuck out from its bottom jaw like tusks, a mass of pale hair barely covered the pair horns that curled around themselves or the set of spikes that jutted out like a fearsome crown. Its skin was orange, painted with red across its eyes and as more of this beast came into view, Peridot noticed it was squatting down so she could actually see it. It was huge, shoulders stacked with muscles and armoured with spikes. Peridot was stunned, once again trying to convince herself that what she was looking at was not real... "Eat," it muttered, in a deep, but feminine voice "Wh-what?" Peridot felt a heavy, but gentle poke on her stomach "Eat," she spoke again and with a clawed hand pointed out of the bathroom door, "Sit. Eat. Calm.." As she spoke, Peridot felt a compulsion to do as she said, a pull and after everything that had happened, she really wasn't in the mood to argue with whatever this thing was or try and logic her way out of this mess.

Taking her advice, whatever she might be, she poured herself some coffee, set aside a cup of noodles to on the table and sat down. It had been a long day, "What is going on here..."

Here’s my participation on the Jaspidot Week The first day is “Sleepover”!  So have Jasper and Peridot trying one! (Surely, Peridot has seen someone in Camp Pining Heart do this and she decided to reproduce it) It was both fun and exhausting to do!!
