“You look like shit,” Pearl laughs. Hands set firmly over Jimmy’s shoulders, she looks him over. There’s a skeptical pinch to her brows, a crooked lilt in her smile. She lifts her hand, gentle as always. The same hands that used to put bandaids on his knees and push him back onto the ice.
