More handwriting headcanons, but this time it’s for various Papyruses!

Obviously there are more Papyruses that exist, these are just the main ones that came to mind first :P

Font names and reasoning under the cut:

Papyrus: Papyrus (because…. c’mon. we all know why)

Stretch: bRee (he gets lowercase letters because he’s a sleepy guy, and the only reason the Ts look a little sharp is because he was probably thinking about Smart Guy Shit again)

Edge: COLORS OF AUTUMN (upper case letters because loud, and sharp like his personality)

Crooks: kindergarden (his letters are big but not all caps because he’s lost some of the spark that would’ve otherwise made him more like OG Paps, and his handwriting is a little wibbly wobbly because head trauma impairs your motor skills sometimes, making it hard to keep your hand movements, or even just regular movements, smooth and steady)

Mutt: alanis hand (he gets lower case and small because he’s another sleepy guy with no confidence)

Charm (UL Paps): Bigdey Demo (dude gets fancy halfway cursive handwriting because he’s a fancy boy. being fancy and stylish is his whole thing, and he adds little hearts in sometimes if he’s in a particularly good mood)

Jupiter (OT Paps): PIGMENTDEMO (personality wise, I just feel like he’d be very similar to OG Paps, and they probably have a lot of the same habits and things, which could easily carry over into their writing. Their handwriting is similar, but still visually different at the end of the day)

Tango (DT Paps): Rock Salt (big letters and all caps here because he’s a louder, more outgoing guy, and even if he’s not super confident 24/7, that’s still the image that he likes to display to others, so they get the impression that he’s the most confident man on the planet. His handwriting is also a bit fancy in its own way, which kinda reflects his whole thing with dancing)

Phantom (DT Paps): Coffee House (ominous looking, sharp, and all caps, because he is literally the creepy dude who tells Dust to maim people and be homicidal. Sometimes he uses lower case, but when he’s especially worked up about something, he goes back to his all caps ways)

Cider (FT Paps): A Hundred Miles (his letters aren’t the biggest, but he still uses all caps. It’s nice looking, if a little on the messy side sometimes because he does so much with his hands on the farm, and they’re probably sore by the time he finishes)

Grim (RT Paps): Silent Reaction (all caps cursive is a nightmare to look at, and he’s been around long enough that he’s painfully aware of that, so he’s brought it down a few notches and uses proper capitalization. He’s had centuries to make his handwriting nice and neat, and while he does like making it look nice, he’s often more concerned about getting all of his work done. Little bonus is that he unintentionally makes the dot above the i look kinda like a candle flame)

Outertale!Sans (People nickname him Pluto??? A tad insulting to be named after what used to be the smallest planet in our solar system, relegated to not a planet.) info dumps to Poor OT!Paps. It has two flavors, actually intriguing information in digestible bites or an episode of “True Facts by Ze Frank”

I can imagine this being a almost daily scenario, poor Jupiter man, bro just wants to live in peace but now has to hear about coral breeding habits.

it's currently my birthday so here's some headcanons as to how i think skeletons would act/what they would do on YOUR birthday! (featuring a TON of au characters! :D)

Sans

Might be the one to push your face into your cake. It's a gamble with him. If it's not that, he'll definitely prank you somehow during the day (something lighthearted and fun, of course.) He wants to make sure you have a blast. I could see him getting you something funny, like a shirt with a funny phrase on it you could wear over and over.

Papyrus

He'd be the type to set up the party games, especially something like a Pinata to hit! He might hit it a liiiiittle too hard..but it's okay. Just means you get candy faster! He'd want to make your day something super fun to remember. He's dead set on changing things up each year to make each day memorable.

Red

WILL push your face into your cake, no questions asked. Provided you blew out your candles first (if you have any). He'd definitely want to take you somewhere fun for your birthday, messing with you from time to time to get a laugh. Definitely would want to get you something you could use a lot, or something you've mentioned wanting before. He keeps tabs on these things!

Edge

If he likes you a lot, he'll get you something really nice and insist you keep it taken care of, letting you know he cares in his own ways. Although he might not be as energetic as his brother might be on your special day, he still stays close by and ensures you're having plenty of fun. He's also one of the more rational members of the skeleton group, keeping the others in line so nothing goes wrong.

Blue

INSISTS on being the person to wake you up. He wants to be the first person to tell you but deep down he knows someone else beat him to it during the night, but that won't stop him from enthusiastically singing the Happy Birthday song anyway! He's probably the one to prepare you for an exciting day of fun, planned out with your best interests in mind. (His brother helped out of course by slapping some fun stickers on the schedule.) He might be one of the first people to give you his presents, letting you open it earlier in the day with him present.

Stretch & Rus

These two pretty much share a braincell, so naturally they'd race to be the first to send birthday wishes right at midnight. Funnily enough there's never an exact victor, they always send their messages at the exact same time. During the daylight hours, they stick together to cause plenty of chaos to get smiles and laughter out of you. They might pull a few pranks to tease you, but nothing too far of course. Rus would make some really cool art as a gift for you, anything you could possibly want him to draw or paint. As for Stretch, he'd work with Blue to get something you'd be able to have plenty of fun with (and of course, to use together).

Black

Oh does this man SPOIL you. He'll take you anywhere you want to go, no matter the cost, ensuring you he'll handle everything for your special day. You name anything, he'll get it for you right away. Also one of the men in charge of keeping the others in line so nothing goes too crazy. At least, until alcohol's brought out..then he leaves it up to Edge. ;)

Mars & Jupiter

The Horror bros are a bit less energetic when it comes to your birthday, opting to do something more personal for you. They'd give you their gifts alone so only they get to see your reactions. Jupiter would probably be the one to bake your cake in the first place, shooing everyone else out of the kitchen so he can perfect it. (Soo much spoon smacking..) They'd definitely steal you away a few times during the day to have some relaxing time together. Mars doesn't really like crowds..but he'd be willing to stay in a room with everyone for you.

Dream, Ink, and Blue(again)!

Dream is SUPER excited for your birthday! He made sure to figure out all your favorite things so there's plenty of joy and positivity. Ink made sure to set up a really nice area for the three of you to celebrate, and maaaaybe set up some sort of water/paint balloon fights for some fun. Blue is in charge of activities and making sure Ink's chaos doesn't get too out of hand!

The Bad Sanses

Killer makes sure to be the first one to wake you up, singing the happy birthday song enthusiastically to embarrass you. Dust and Horror will be a bit more calm than he is, messing up your hair and giving you little affectionate/friendly gestures. Nightmare sets up a grand party for you, decorating the castle to the very best of his ability. He'll do his best to make things absolutely perfect for one of his favorite group members (don't tell the others, especially not Killer!). They all made sure to pitch in and get you some things that you'd thoroughly enjoy (just don't ask WHERE they got them from, okay?)

Error

He might have kidnapped you. But you're usually cool with it so it's okay. He's not particularly crazy about the idea of a big extravagant birthday party, so he sets up a day where you can spend time together watching your favorite shows in the Anti Void. As for his gift? Well, I could see him making some little puppets for you to have, maybe one of himself so when you hug it you'll think about him. (And since he's still adapting to physical touch himself.)

Cross

Cross wants to spend as much time with you as he can on your birthday. He's not one for big, extravagant things, but he would do something personal and sweet for you to make you happy, just content to spend time making you feel special. He might take you stargazing or something similar, a fun thing for both of you to do.

Bonus!

Fresh! (i will write about him at least once i swear. platonic fresh enjoyers this is for you)

You already KNOW Fresh is on top of things when it comes to his best bud's birthday! He'd definitely bring you somewhere where you both would have plenty of room to mess around and cause some chaos. No where is safe! I could see him dragging you to something like a skate park or to go spray paint some stuff. Or maybe to go see a movie together you can both laugh at. If he can't hang out with you alone, he'll show up at the Star Sanses' party to surprise you there.

Carcalla turned sharply, his eyes were slits as he looked at him. “How dare you?” He snarled.

Geta rose his eyebrows. “How dare I?”

“Yes. In front of what? Her? She is nothing.” Caracalla, cackled once again.

Geta closed what little distance was between them. “She is mine. She is my property. Eventually, I may or may not free her but still then, you dare lay another finger on her and you may learn to regret it.”

Caracalla’s eyes grew but then they narrowed again as a wet chuckle escaped his cruel mouth.

“Oh? Are you getting sentimental?” His lips curled. “Do you need to buy the ones you sleep with?”

“Silence your voice.”

Caracalla finally was silent.

He had better realize, he was in know mood for his games.

“I am having a dinner here tonight with some of those insufferable senators, you can stay or you can go out with your cohorts but don’t you dare cause another scene.”

“There of no concern for me brother. I will let you handle them.”

With a swish of his robes he left. Geta’s stomach churned. He had been so relaxed, so calm and now he saw red.

Going to one of the adjacent rooms, he went and sighed once in the cooler room. It helped to calm his thudding heart. Seeing one of the tellings of August going to Germania was laying on one of the tables from the last time he was there. He ran his fingers over the papyrus before unrolling more of it, letting his eyes drift over the words.

He’d call someone to read some poetry. He was in no mood for some of the long discussions those senators enjoyed having.

Once back in your small room, you finally let the tears fall down your cheeks. You could never understand the sharp difference Geta and Caracalla. How they were borne from the same woman, always surprised you. You were reminded of the tales of Romulus and Remus, your mother spoke of. Though, you truly hoped that Geta and Caracalla would not end up like they did.

It was the one moment, you doubted that Geta could possibly lose in such an instance. May the mighty Jupiter keep him safe, you quietly prayed.

Carcalla was far more brutal, more blood thirsty then Geta from what you had heard and observed. You worried if things came to that, who would be the victor and what would happen to you. Now Geta protected you, but how long would that last. Was it possible that he’d discard you like an old, worn rug or put you down like a wounded animal that could not heal.

All these musings swirled around you as you sat there, still shaking after Caracalla pushed you across the atrium.

“Yes! That is how is shall always be!” Geta held his goblet up high. “And my general, Marcus Acacius shall wield our finest steel and strike fear in all that oppose us!”

Cheers, sounds of agreement filled the room.

Relief had filled you as you watched the good humors and contentment in Geta, the earlier feelings of worry gone and long forgotten.

Marcus Acacius, bowed his head and smiled as he looked back up. “Thank you sire.”

You took, a sip from your own goblet and before once again resting your hands back into your lap. The poetry of the man known as Virgil and the savory food filled everyone. They were warmed and had a healthy flush of color in them. It was all this that brightened the room more then even the candles that were placed all around.

As you glanced up towards the inky heavens, even the stars were far more brilliant then recently. You were very pleased, to be sitting beside Geta through in all.

“Your presence had calmed and pleased Geta tonight. That may mean, he will come for you.” Aelia told you softly as she undid the ribbons that had held your hair in.

“Oh? Shall it hurt ?” A slice of worry cut through you.

“He is in good spirits. There may only be a temporary discomfort but if he wants to keep the good humors.”

Taking a comb, she began to slide it through your strands.

“He may make sure sure it is only for the initial moments. Just keep on breathing, do not bottle up your breaths.”

“Do we as women ever enjoy it or is that only a prospect of intimacy lay with the women who do these acts who charge ?”

You heard as Aelia inhaled. It made you happy pause and look at her. “What?”

The woman had pressed her lips together. “Thank you for acknowledging my woman hand. I am only seen as thus from my equals, you may or may not be aware but since our sire owns you personally, you are above me.”

You made a face. “No, I am not aware. I was just a girl who would serve and remain in the shadows.”

The woman gave a small smile. “Not anymore.”

She looked away before looking once again back at you.

“But yes, we can however that decision of that, is solely up to our sire. He may just want to expel his needs. I do not know.”

“Ok. Just like I had promised to him. I will follow his guidance.”

“That is truly the best.”

You felt as her fingers trembled as she continued to care for your hair.

The candles flickered as your door opened. You glanced over from where you sat.

It was one of Geta’s personal guard. “You are to come from me. Our sire, wishes you to come to his private quarters.

“Yes.” Was all you said.

Your footfalls and his echoed in the silent Domus. No other sounds could be heard. Such a contrast to the earlier festive and merriment. There had been liquid been been flowing into goblets and utensils and plants clanking on tables as food was ate and served.

The door creaked as he opened it. You walked in and flinched as it banged, behind you once it closed.

“There is the blossom of Rome, my blossom.”

Turning you watched as Geta strode in. A rich red, maroon of sorts were tied and flowed down from his waist. You had never seen his bare chested, his strength was very apparent. You had only seen that kind of strength reflected in the Gladiators that fought and battled in the arena.

“Evening, Geta. Thank you for your kind words.”

Hello! Remember how I said I was going to redo the lineup? Well I’ve finished page one already!

1: Sans Wingdings (undertale)

Our classic lazy punny skeleton, sans is that silly nerd we all adore. He's a personable character, his easy going nature and laid back mannerisms making it easy for him to win over new friends. However getting to know this skeleton beyond surface level is much harder. Behind his playful front is a nervous and cautious monster. Sans doesn't trust easily. Sans is a scholar at heart, and if he finds something interesting enough, you'll see this skeleton shed his lazy bones and really put in some work!

Job: sans is the head engineer at the core in ridgeside village. He helps maintain the machinery above ground and the core below making sure the blend of magic and nuclear energy continues to run smoothly.

2: Papyrus Wingdings (undertale)

If you ever look up the word optimist in the dictionary, you'll find papyrus' name! Papyrus is a cheerful and friendly guy, always down to help someone out, even strangers! He's a firm believer of you get what you put in, so why spread hate when you can sow kindness! While he isn't innocent, he does often find himself in trouble from being too nice to the wrong person. Papyrus is notorious for putting his own principles in front of his safety, a fact that makes his family and friends rather protective.

Job: Papyrus designed and owns a thriving escape room building featuring three rooms! he rotates them every other month retiring one and coming out with a new one the same day. His business has been doing very well the last few years and he's been considering opening a second location.

3: Star Wingdings (underswap sans)

Star is a living breathing ball of pure ENERGY. No really, man could bounce off the wall for hours and not even break a sweat! Star is a very cheerful personality, if a tad manipulative. He has a rather cute face resulting in often being treated much younger than the grown ass adult he is lol. After a lifetime of this, he figured he might as well take advantage of it. Star is a very intelligent and capable monster and often forgets that his limits aren't shared by others. While he is a great hype man, he can come off as pushy and bossy if one does not set firm boundaries.

Special ability: he doesn't get dizzy. doesn't matter how fast he's moving or what position he's in.

Job: Star is part of the royal guard in the peace guard division- aka the police force of ebott. Star is mainly put in search and rescue cases as he is rather talented at finding people. He also does a lot of patrolling though when times are slow.

4: Honey Snowtuft (underswap papyrus)

Honey is a kind and gentle soul. Not a single mean bone in his body. He's a bit of a shy guy and is quite awkward when one first meets him. However, once he relaxes around someone, honey is a chill and goofy guy with a bit of a mother hen side to him. Honey doesn't make friends easily and can be rather clingy when you get that title. He's also a huge nag to his friends, a product of having one of the most stubborn creatures alive as a brother. oh and he's a total nerd. *fun fact: the different last name is from his aunt Jeanie who raised him*

Special ability: He can innately understand the basic meaning behind any written language. Not the specific details, but the base context of a text comes naturally to him. He doesn't realize this is a special ability and just thinks languages come naturally to him.

Job: Honey is a freelance translator! he works from home and will translate all kinds of documents, books scripts, anything really. He knows over a dozen different languages!

5: Red Wingdings (underfell sans)

Red is a very prickly guy. He always seems to be on the defensive and will snap quickly at any perceived slight. He's had a rough life and not very many good experiences with strangers to draw from. It takes a very patient person to earn reds trust. Once you do though, you'll find a loyal deeply caring friend. Red with friends is a total goofball. He has a biting sense of humor and loves to tease. He's easily flustered and is fun to get a rise out of too. It's easy to tell when his blustering is just for show.

Special ability: his aura is very soothing to babies and toddlers making them naturally happy and friendly around him. It really ruins the bad boy look he's trying to go for.

Job: Red works as an electric engineer at the moment, but really he wants to work on cars full time. He's considering going back to school to get a degree.

6: Edge Wingdings (underfell papyrus)

Edge is a natural born leader. He has high expectations for himself and those under him, but he doesn't put others down for their failures. Instead, he brings them up helping them become their best versions- if they're willing to listen of course. Edge is stern and bossy around most but has a huge soft spot for the sweeties in his life. He's defenseless against a good set of puppy eyes. He's extremely protective of the people he considers "his" and is ready to go to war for them. Edge thrives in routine and rules and gets easily annoyed by those who deliberately ignore them.

Special ability: He has an incredibly accurate sense of smell. He can list every ingredient in a food just by sniffing it.

Job: Edge works as a lawyer specializing in tenant and custody cases. He takes his job VERY seriously and has an impressive winning streak

7: Mal (swapfell sans)

Think of the attitude of someone who came from the streets, now has money but still lives like they're in the street and you have mal. His personality is a strange blend of diva and punk that seems to confuse many. He loves keeping people on their toes though, so this works out perfectly for him. Mal thrives off of drama and if he can't find any, he'll create his own. One of the most dangerous things in the world is a bored mal. He is clever and playful but biting towards those he deems weak. His friendship is not for the thin skinned.

Special ability: if he flicks something between his pointer finger and thumb, he can flick it so hard it would become lodged in a wall. He can also crack nuts between just those two digits as well as bend metal with ease.

Job: mal owns a little hole in the wall jewelry shop in downtown ebott. He resells used jewelry as well as his own deigns and the creations of other local artists.

8: Cash (swapfell papyrus)

Say hello to chaos incarnate. Sometimes it seems like cash's only purpose in life is to cause trouble lol. He's a very mischievous character as well as creative and deeply curious. A dangerous combination indeed. Cash lives for the laughs in life. He loves bringing smiles to people's faces with his jokes and pranks, but his moral compass is a bit skewed, and he can take things too far if left to his own devices. Cash has a strong desire to be better than what he is now and will cling to people who make him feel like he's doing good. He is a recovering addict and has to take care to say far away from those who would drag him back to that life.

Special ability: he can change the shape of his "vocal cords" to mimic sounds. Cash can copy voices, machinery, animals, almost everything. He is limited by volume though.

Job: Cash is a pizza delivery guy officially, but he also has a side hustle as a financial advisor. He has no degree, but his clients usually leave happy regardless.

9: Oak Wingdings (horrortale sans)

Despite technically being the same guy as sans, oak couldn't be more different. After a head injury wiped many of his memories, as well as experiencing his au's famine, oak has come out a very changed monster. Where sans is personable and playful, oak is shy and reserved. His memory issues makes many of his old passions difficult to participate in, causing oak to find new loves in life. Oak is kind and gentle but also aloof and nervous. He cant mask his emotions the same way his younger counterpart can anymore making him an open book. On bad days he's very snappy and irritable, angry at how helpless he feels.

Special ability: like sans, oak can summon objects to himself but struggles to use his ability as it requires him remembering where he left them. He also has a surprise second ability where he has an aura that naturally attracts animals, making then docile and friendly. Even wild animals.

Job: Oak works in the kitchen of his brother's bakery on his good days. He also supplies a good portion of the eggs that the bakery uses each day.

Experiencing the famine and caring for his deeply injured brother in his old au changed willow from the optimist he used to be. While still a cheerful character, Willow is now cautious where papyrus is bold. And if you cross willow once, you'll never do it again. He doesn't forgive easily. Willow cares deeply and seems to have this need to mother others lol. He's at his happiest when he's helping out someone he loves. He can't stand boredom and has to always be doing something to feel stable. He's rather openly sarcastic and has a surprisingly dry sense of humor.

Sans: he would be surprised but definitely not disappointed (assuming it’s his SO). While sans won’t keep it on his phone, he will send some spicy texts back, and if his SO goads him into it, he reciprocated with some hastily taken pictures of his own. Sans is terrible at taking pictures so they’re pretty bad. Be warned.

Papyrus: he would adore receiving nudes from his SO and would keep them in a HIGHLY PROTECTED folder in his phone to browse through when the mood strikes. Papyrus treats sending nudes back as the art form it is. He chooses beautiful backdrops, candle lighting, and only the sexiest of angles of course~ his face is always included in his nudes

Pluto: he would just die of embarrassment if his SO sent him a nude. They get a voice message back which just consists on unintelligible stuttering followed by a frustrated sounding screech. It’s actually hilarious. He can be bullied into sending one back ;)

Jupiter: he will crush his phone in his hand by accident. He kind of got startled by the nude and just… breaks his phone. Oops. And now he’s scared to back it up on a new one cause what if the techie helping him sees the nude??? If asked, Jupiter would be very enthusiastic about sending his SO his own nudes though. He treats it just as seriously as papyrus does.

Fisher: this annoys fisher actually. He’d rather see his SO in person, and now he has to figure out how to delete a text message so no one else stumbles across his sexy SOs pictures. If asked, fisher would not be interested in sending any back. If they want to see him so badly, they can take his clothes off themself. He’s not doing his SOs work for them ;)

Jasper: he’d be highly embarrassed to receive a nude, and while he may lie and say he liked it, he’s honestly a little uncomfortable. He’s stressed about opening any pictures his SO sends him while he’s in public now. On the other hand though, he’d be a little more adventurous in taking pictures for his SO if they said it was something they’d like. But physical pictures only. Jasper doesn’t trust digital copies.

Classic: Thinks they're neat, doesn't play them often though. He's just kind of busy all the time with the machine and lowkey taking care of like. 14 idiots in his house, but he does think they're cool I feel like he would like One Night At Flumpty's if you know what that is!! or JR's!! Not really a horror game, but i think he'd like "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes"

Papyrus: Think's they're super interesting but can't play them LOL. He'll watch Youtubers play them and loves watching the other skeleton's play them, but if he feels like a jumps scare is coming, he's defiantly covering everything but the youtuber's face-cam or just watching whoever's reaction. I think he'd like.. Indigo Park and Security Breach. I feel like he'd appreciate the bright colors and minimum scare-ies :)))

Blue: LOVES them but is very quiet about it!! He definitely would've liked JR's and Poppy Playtime, probably Indigo Park, too. Not a big fan of gore tho!

Stretch: can't handle horror games at all LOL. Loves horror movies and books, because he can detach himself and laugh at their stupid choices, but when it's HIM?? ..NAH. but!! again, not really a horror game, but i think he'd also like "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes"

Helvetica: Generally just doesn't horror games scary?? He just doesn't find them worth his time for the most part. He works a LOT and gets plenty thrill from night rides on his bike, so horror games are just kinda. eh. i feel like he would like that one game where your a 911 dispatcher though

Malvery: ALSO LOVES HORROR. Def a big Puppet Combo guy, defiantly likes creepypasta, also?? FNAF?? for sure. I feel like he liked 3 and sister the most, maybe 6 too! Doesn't find horror scary at all.

Red: Oooo he liked horror games, even if he doesn't play them often. He doesn't care for real loud or gorey games (other than Dead by Daylight, he fucking LOVES that game. i feel like he would like res evil too, but i havent played it so idk) but i feel like he would LOVE games that just.. put you on edge. Like. Phsycological horror. Little Nightmares type shit. He def loves LN. Also likes Puppet Combo.

These fellow men are the pirates for The Shadow! That is if we exclude Sea. That lass isn't going to be a part of the crew for a while. She'll need to lose that tail before she even attempts to be on the ship, after all. Ah, that reminds me! The Captain is our youngest of the crew, Mau. Before Mau, Spear was the captain... only reason why he isn't anymore? He retired to be a cook with his brother.

The reason why Pluto is tired... well, he's up all night. Even if he's a bit lazy, he takes being the watchman very seriously. It helps that Jupiter, the boatswain, gets on his butt every now and then. Oh, that reminds me! Thank you @yeosin-n for letting me use the name Cadet for this story. He's our sailing master!

Scarlet is the quartermaster, while both Rex and Crimson are gunners. Technically Rex is the one Crimson answers to... but Crimson is way more passionate about his job. The surgeon (well, it's more accurate to call him a healer) is Mercury. Anyone else that's wasn't mentioned is just a normal member of the pirate crew.

Sans: Kindness definitely. He has a soft heart at his core and appreciates someone who can match that energy, he also has a few things he struggles with (such as depression) and really needs someone who can hold room for him and who he knows he can always find a nurturing and safe place in.

Papyrus: Bravery! (Just like himself) He is super into people who inspire him, and who he can admire as much as himself (lol). He likes people who he can count on for always being up for an adventure, someone who is exciting and courageous.

Stretch: Kindness, he has a huge respect for compassionate people, he definitely has a healthy distrust of humans and appreciates someone who he can know for certain is always holding good intentions and someone who looks out for other people and his brother.

Blue: Justice! Blue lives by his morals and refuses to budge for anybody else, he will always look for the good in people but will not allow himself to be blinded and ignore the bad, and he absolutely needs someone who matches his sense of morals and has a strong sense of character to stand up for what they believe in.

Jupiter: Perseverance! Having lived through incredibly hard times himself he definitely admires someone who can stand the test of time, who can get knocked down and find their way back to their feet. He wants someone who he knows is committed and doesn't give up easily. Jupiter has a very low self esteem and thinks of himself a lot like one big problem needing to be fixed, he wants someone who he knows won't bail on him, and will stick by him during the hard times.

Mars: patience! Mars isn't all like he used to be, especially after his head injury, in the process of his recovery he has taken upon a more slow, stable lifestyle and desires someone who can create a cozy, stable home with him and can be understanding of his disability- and loves him just as much for it and doesn't see him or his injury as a burden.

Mutt: determination/Bravery, Mutt is super attracted to people with bold personalities, people who know what they want and don't let fear rule them. Mutt himself has a bit of a coarse, icy exterior and can be quite intimidating to many, he's super into people that aren't afraid to challenge him and aren't easily intimidated.

Lord: integrity, coming from a universe where deceit and manipulation is all too common, he needs someone who he knows is reliable and sticks to their morals, he despises wishy-washy and unreliable people.

Red: Kindness, though he will never admit this (and honestly might not even be fully consciously aware of this either). Red at his core wants to feel safe, he wants someone who he can trust and will nurture all his wounds-both emotionally & physically. He has an incredibly hard time opening up and very little experience with kindness, but he's lived his entire life with a hard shell to protect himself from cruelty to cruelty- he just wants someone that makes him feel soft.

Edge: Integrity/Perseverance. Edge similarly to Lord appreciates someone who knows themselves and has the confidence to stand by what they believe in, someone who has a strong sense of character. He respects strength incredibly and has little respect for the weak-willed.

Razz: Bravery! Razz is all about the freaky eccentric things in life, he needs someone who is equally as much of a freak and isn't scared of the unconventional. He appreciates people who push limits and is all for exploring in uncharted territory.

Cash: Bravery/Justice. Cash is an absolute mischief maker and practical joker, he has strong morals and doesn't particularly care if those morals align with the law or not, out of all the main Skellies cash is the one with the least respect for any kind of authority and is going to be super attracted to anyone who can team up with him in his trouble making.

Coffee: Patience! Coffee is supppeerr socially anxious, and takes a long time to come out of his shell, his more mild and tame outer shell is often deceiving as he actually has major trust issues and tends to assume the worst in people, any potential s/o's would need to have the patience to get him out of his shell and reveal his more deviant & affectionate side.

Black: Determination, Black is incredibly cutthroat, he knows the challenges and cruelties of the world and knows them well. He's insanely ambitious and needs someone who is just as so, he very much is looking for an equal who is just as cunning as he is and is super attracted to people with a lot of prowess and big aspirations.

you guys really seem to like the space-theme alternate multiverse me and @dwelling-lurker are cooking up so here's a bit of info about it!

All of this takes place inside of an outertale timeline. It doesn't have a name yet lol

All of the characters are planetary sized, maybe a little smaller, but are more scaled on power rather than their canon counterparts (although there are a few exceptions to that rule)

All of them CAN get smaller/to a more realistic level that you can properly talk to, although I'd imagine it's a lot of energy and they're still pretty damn big

This will mainly, if not only, focus on sans and papyrus variants, sorry :(

'normal' variants (ones closely tied to undertale, ie underfell and underswap) are actual planets. While ones who are either outcodes or have been detached from their AUs are more manifestations/generally symbolic (this includes Nightmare's gang, although I'd like to think they were previously akin to exoplanets)

Vastly different.

Mars would have been something like a rancher that cared for livestock, I think. Even though he has a scary appearance, the large beasts of the plains don’t seem to fear him.

Jupiter would probably help Ursa (outertale paps) work as this worlds equivalent to a Cub Scout or Boy Scout troop leader. Learning about the outdoors. Ursa would handle teaching about the flora and fauna, while Jupiter would teach them how to survive in the wild should they be ‘up shits creek without a paddle.’

Polaris (outertale sans) would also study the local plant and wildlife and end up as a professor at the university in St. Calibri. When he isn’t doing that, he also likes to learn about insects. He probably falls asleep while studying and some of them hitch rides on Polaris into the house, much to Ursa’s dismay.

(Their dad thinks it’s endearing, as Polaris makes sure they all get out back outside, safely.)

Red is a mechanic. Cars exist but someone still has to fix em when they break.

Edge would become quite the amazing cook and teach others how to cook.

Milord would be a lawyer.

Mutt would have ended up with a much gentler disposition. So eventually with how smart he is, he would have opened his own gardening or landscaping business.

Blue would be a sheriff/ the sheriff or a firefighter.“This town isn’t big enough for your troublesome antics, evil-doer!”

Orange’s laid back attitude makes him a good bartender/ keeper. (He’d run the saloon.)

Aster would be a doctor. (Granted that’s kinda the same as what he currently does. Though that’s a field medic.) He is very generous with his time and service to his community.

G would be a private eye. He has a natural charm and charisma that allows him to get closer to people than one normally would. Not to mention his intelligence and natural curiosity would make him a good sleuth.

Sans would be a deputy to Blue- doing a lot of the under cover work and ‘bad cop’ing. Actually getting the results as his more excited counterpart goes on the chase for the bad guys and all that fun jazz. He would also be the one to work with Milord for criminal cases, as well as Milord would be the on call lawyer for the jail.

Papyrus would be a handyman. If it can be broken, this master of all things ‘confusing contraption’ can probably fix it. Pluming, lightning, furniture. Etc etc.

Bonus:

The gasters-

Fell- He is still in the army as a top tier General. He was bossy from the day he was born and he’ll stay bossy long after he dusts. Where do you think edge got the audacity from? He learned it from someone and it wasn’t Red.

Swap- He would be a pre-school teacher. He didn’t earn his #1 Dad! Pin for nothing.

Starlord- He would study meteorology and probably be a forecaster.

Trocar- Like his son Mars, he has a way with animals. He would be a veterinarian.

Swiff (SwapFell Gaster) - Mans is a straight up fiend. He’s getting a head start on the brewing business for moonshine.

WingDing- He would teach mathematics at St. Calibri University…

More handwriting headcanons, but this time it’s for various Papyruses!

Obviously there are more Papyruses that exist, these are just the main ones that came to mind first :P

Font names and reasoning under the cut:

Papyrus: Papyrus (because…. c’mon. we all know why)

Stretch: bRee (he gets lowercase letters because he’s a sleepy guy, and the only reason the Ts look a little sharp is because he was probably thinking about Smary Guy Shit again)

Edge: COLORS OF AUTUMN (upper case letters because loud, and sharp like his personality)

Crooks: kindergarden (his letters are big but not all caps because he’s lost some of the spark that would’ve otherwise made him more like OG Paps, and his handwriting is a little wibbly wobbly because head trauma impairs your motor skills sometimes, making it hard to keep your hand movements, or even just regular movements, smooth and steady)

Mutt: alanis hand (he gets lower case and small because he’s another sleepy guy with no confidence)

Charm (UL Paps): Bigdey Demo (dude gets fancy halfway cursive handwriting because he’s a fancy boy. being fancy and stylish is his whole thing, and he adds little hearts in sometimes if he’s in a particularly good mood)

Jupiter (OT Paps): PIGMENTDEMO (personality wise, I just feel like he’d be very similar to OG Paps, and they probably have a lot of the same habits and things, which could easily carry over into their writing. Their handwriting is similar, but still visually different at the end of the day)

Tango (DT Paps): Rock Salt (big letters and all caps here because he’s a louder, more outgoing guy, and even if he’s not super confident 24/7, that’s still the image that he likes to display to others, so they get the impression that he’s the most confident man on the planet. His handwriting is also a bit fancy in its own way, which kinda reflects his whole thing with dancing)

Phantom (DT Paps): Coffee House (ominous looking, sharp, and all caps, because he is literally the creepy dude who tells Dust to maim people and be homicidal. Sometimes he uses lower case, but when he’s especially worked up about something, he goes back to his all caps ways)

Cider (FT Paps): A Hundred Miles (his letters aren’t the biggest, but he still uses all caps. It’s nice looking, if a little on the messy side sometimes because he does so much with his hands on the farm, and they’re probably sore by the time he finishes)

Grim (RT Paps): Silent Reaction (all caps cursive is a nightmare to look at, and he’s been around long enough that he’s painfully aware of that, so he’s brought it down a few notches and uses proper capitalization. He’s had centuries to make his handwriting nice and neat, and while he does like making it look nice, he’s often more concerned about getting all of his work done. Little bonus is that he unintentionally makes the dot above the i look kinda like a candle flame)
