new dnd character that i have to get out of my head. not sure about class or anything just background

a gnoll from a relatively isolationist self-sustaining village, that occasionally has to trade with the nearby town to stay above water, as it were. their main export is braided jewelry, usually necklaces and bracelets, though occasionally they'll have things like rings, earrings, etc.

they "know" common, but they have an internal language that they use in the village. because it's my character i have decided it's toki pona because it's fun and easy to learn. so their jewelry they call "sike musi" or 'art circles'. because of the way that toki pona is constructed, the way they communicate in common (toki Komon) is also affected.

instead of saying "what is the word for" they just describe the thing. when they trade their jewelry, they don't ask for money, they ask for "bracelet metal" (kiwen sike luka). they don't say "i don't understand", they tend to instead say "we don't have that". when someone asks for gender (toki pona is by default ungendered) they say "we don't have that". if someone asks for pronouns they say "mi", the toki pona first person pronoun.

this particular member (probably well into adulthood) just got bored and wandered off and got lost, and didn't bother wandering back. they know how to forage so they're not really afraid

and presumably they stumble across the party and get all excited because finally! something interesting and they start babbling in their home language. they're exciteable and curious and insist on sleeping on/around at least one person

Bishop was quicker to recover, even if he couldn't stand just how this kept happening. It would be wise to make sure the WAU wouldn't be able to get its hands on the brain scans anymore.

He grunted, "I'll be on the lookout for any hostile robots. You deal with that."

He motioned to Rook, who had yet to move since they found out there was someone trapped in a Zeppelin.

Strasky looked at the egg then back to her, offering it to her in case she wanted to hold the baby. "You want to hold it?" He felt he should at least offer as the baby appeared to still be alive as it occasionally moved.

"If you're talking about Komorebi and Evans, they were Theta staff. Komorebi was scanned, Evans was not. Wan, Goya, and Krier were scanned, Terry never was. There weren't that many station at Delta because, as you can see, it's not that big." He explained as he went back past building two to a control panel which he started typing on.

He said as he looked over the information on the screen to see which one of the zeppelins that were left would be a good choice to call back to the Zeppelins Transport Theta area. He connected to the one of the three zeppelins left, going over to the Zeppelin Transport Theta computer located by a small radio tower. He typed a few things before a voice came over the computer screaming and panicking that it was drowning and surrounded by water before the communication stopped. "Alright, Alan Waldeck is not enjoying himself and I think he just overloaded... 049 seems like the safest bet, it's the closest and currently not inhabited by a brain scan." He felt bad for waking up Alan as it caused him to fry himself, but he couldn't feel too guilty as he hadn't known he was in there.

He went back to the other terminal to put in a different zeppelins number and back to the computer to echo it, happy to find that 049 was perfectly operation and without a brain scan. "049 should be here in a minute. Then we can get to Theta quickly with it."
